802.1x authorization while client is hibernated

Hi,
we run 802.1x in our LAN and it looks the authenticator tries to authorize Thin Clients who are in standby. This happens randomly almost every 10 minutes:

Does anybody else experience this problem and has a fix for it?

Hi,
It looks like the supplicant is not responding to the EAP packets or those EAP packets which are sent from the supplicant are not reaching or being read by the authenticator. In order to understand if the supplicant is sending the packets, please check if the supplicant is correctly configured for EAP (whichever method is being used) and take a packet capture and check if for the protocol EAP, anything is sent from the authenticator or not.

I'm running 7.5 on a 2504 and keep getting

in the log on the controller.
There is just one controller on the network.
I noticed that the mac address corresponds to the mac address of the BIA under the mobility set up.
I cannot find anything relevant on the internet or Cisco's web site.

I've tried multiple ways to cope with this problem but nothing was helpfull...

I use only ACS Radius attributes and chose ony what ACS allows me to choose (Tunnel-medium-type: 802).

The same situation occurs when i try to use some Vendor Specific Attributes (Cisco-AV-Pair) - downloadable ACEs to my user, and again, i see Radius attributes in my debug but nothing is applied to my L3 Switch.

RFC Error while client export

While Client export with any profile Background work process stop reason is RFC. system in single system landscape. I want export client profile through SCC8 only. please solve my problem

Hello Ganesh,
I had received the same kind of error once, we applied the following workaround
Execute the client export in foreground. The client export at SAP level won't take much time and would get completed quickly.
BUT yes, this does NOT mean that the Co-files & Datafiles are generated quickly.
You will notice, that the file size & timestamp of cofile & datafile being updated. Once the timestap of the co-files & datafile stops you can be sure that the client export has completed.
Incase you still want to find the RCA of your problem, please send us the export log details.

Init Delta while client it's working

Client demand us for make an init delta in diferents PM Cubes (0COOM_CO2 and 0PS_C04) for inconsistent problems.
For a weekend server problems I have to do this on monday morning, while client was working inserting registers on R/3 side. This proces fulls about 5 hours and finished arround 2 pm.
The question is, is it correct? client says us that the registers inserted during monday morning are not in BW now. Could be because on this time SAP was doing this init delta?
All delta are correct, in green and wtih report icon.

I've always heard that the customer has always the right, but in this case seems not. They were wrong filtering and so did not see the data.
Although I have learned two things, you should not make a Init delta during the week, and that nothing is going to do it.

AP with 802.11 G Vs clients with 802.11b

i've got more access point 1200 series with he 802.11g but the client are 802.11b . Can the client 802.11b connect at the AP with 802.11 G ? Now i don't resolve this problem anche the client 802.11b connect only with the ap 1200 series with 802.11b

Deploying client language pack while client push

Hi All,
How do i deploy specific language pack with client push installation?
Note: I already enabled site for that language and i can see language files are exists in "Client\i386\Language Pack\".

During the client installation the client will install the languages that are available at that moment. When the languages is available later, the client has to be reinstalled. After the installation the client will automatically switch to the OS language.
To detect the installed language, see this key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\CCMSetup\InstalledLangs

Add table entry while client is not open

we only have access to SE16, no sm30 maintain table entry authorization, but this can be bypassed by <removed by moderator>.
thus we can modify existing table entry.
but I can't use this method to add additional table entry, any one know how to add entry using se16 debugging?

I can confirm those activities are checked and active.
SAP Note - 1129764 --> Users can actually see their original workbooks and the ones that have been 'saved as', they just want to be able to modify and just 'save' the original ones.
SAP Note - 1052085 --> This doesn't fit either, users have 'save' button disabled and can only click on save us. Besides we are already running on SP.14
Last note says: "Workbooks are not saved in BW systems that are not changeable.".
This is a statement that bothers me, indeed my client is set closed.
And SCC4 shows these paramenters:

   --> No changes to repository and cross-client customizing objs

Connection Problem while client is behind proxy and server out side proxy

i implemented ChatApplication in JAVA, for that i used socket connection when client and server both are in same network then it's working fine.
but when my server is on internate and client is behind proxy and try to connect with server
it not able to connect i get exception.
i serch most of forum i got same answer and i try it but i was not success.

Error while Client copy request - Report Painter

Hi friends,
I am copying a Workbench request from customization client to test client through SCC1. This relates to Report painter report transport for FDI1. However, I am getting the following warning message while transport -
"Program ended with error or warning, return code: 4"
As per my understanding, the above message is a warning message. However, I would like to check if any of you have come across this message? Is this a normal warning message without any negetive system impact?

Yes it is a Workbench request. And I am adding the new report to the SAP Standard report menu under Line Item Analysis.
Also, some COPA tables are getting updated in the background. Is this normal? Are the standard report painter tables related to COPA tables in any manner?

802.1x errors from client in WLAN with WPA2 and PSK

I have been doing a client troubleshooting and I have got some errors that does not have so much sense for me:
1)
Time :03/15/2011 14:49:54 CET Severity :ERROR Controller IP :10.x.x.x Message :802.1x authentication message received, static dynamic wep supported.
2)
Time :03/15/2011 14:49:54 CET Severity :INFO Controller IP :10.x.x.x Message :Association request received from a client has an invalid RSN IE.(One reason could be mismatch in WPA2 algorithm).
The WLAN is configured with WPA2 with AES and PSK, and during the troubleshooting several roamings have happened.
Do you have any idea why they can be produced?

Duplicate IP 0.0.0.0 Conflict on 802.1X Windows 7 Clients

Ever since we implemented ISE 1.x with 802.1X authentication about two years ago, a number of our Windows 7 user stations occassionally report the well known error message: "duplicate ip 0.0.0.0" . Only wired stations are affected and it happens randomly but not frequently. On further investigation I found that the conflicting device mac address in every case is in fact the bia of the switch port that the Windows 7 PC client is connected. The characteristics of each case is consistent with the Cisco device tracking process as detailed in TAC Document ID: 116529, Updated: Oct 09, 2013

We have Cisco C6500 access switches with IOS Ver: 12.2(33)SXJ1.The output of "Show ip device track all" command on the switches:

IP Device Tracking = Enabled
IP Device Tracking Probe Count = 3
IP Device Tracking Probe Interval = 30
I found that Cisco recommends three Solution options as follows:
1. ip device tracking probe delay 10
2. ip device tracking probe use-svi
3. ip device tracking probe interval <seconds>
However, the ios only shows track probe "count" and "interval" for change. There is no option to change the probe delay or use-svi in this IOS.
What is your advice?

NAC Framework - NAC-L2-802.1x without CSSC client?

Hi
I'm just wondering if it is possible to do NAC-L2-802.1x without the use of the CSSC client? I've managed to get this working with the CSSC client with no problems, but have been having nothing but problems trying to get this working without. This client software is pretty expensive and if it is possible to get around using it, that'd be great. Thanks for any info.

You can do 802.1x without CSSC, you cannot support remediation without it however. 802.1x by itself allows you authentication, and dynamic VLAN assignment.
