A few concerns...

Hi everyone,
Ok.. I have a few questions about my project that I am trying to finalize.
1) I got three warnings in my last burn.. Is this something to be concerned about?
http://www.collinatorstudios.com/www/dvdalerts.png
2) Macrovision CSS copy-protection... Is this something I want to add to my disc before I give it to a dupication house? Or is this something that they should put on?
3) When my motion menus (and some tracks) start, it appears that the first frame is displayed and then the disc seeks, and a second later the track resumes. This is kind of weird, and I am wondering if it is common for people to make the first frame of their menus a black frame, to avoid this?
4) Regarding regional playback... I'm not sure what to do here.. This DVD is for an international company.. The format is NTSC-- is it simply a matter of only selecting countries that use NTSC? Or would this dvd actually play on a PAL tv too?? I'm a little unclear about what is the proper thing to do regarding this.
Thank you very much.
-patrick

Hi Patrick,
I couldn't see the warnings picture, but I presume the warnings are about .lay, .layout files that will not be included in the final disc. You can safely ignore the warnings, this is normal as those files are used by formatting module of DVD SP and should not be included in the final disc anyway.
Macrovision and CSS protection should only be added if client specifically asked for them, and only if the disc is replicated from a glass master. Duplicated discs cannot have Macrovision or CSS, no matter what duplicating house says.
If our menus or tracks are not playing smoothly, your bitrate maybe too high for recordable media/DVD player combination. You should always use the best available media (Verbatim, Ritek for example) and if possible record it at the media lowest supported speed. Cheap, generic or OEM media are known culprits for playback problems and general durability and stability. Replicated DVDs are less prone to that thanks to better reflectivity.
Forget about regional settings, they are optional, and if the client have not asked you to exclude one of them, then don't. By default all regions are playable in a new DVD SP progect.
NTSC discs are fine most of the time in PAL countries, there may be a few old players and display devices that cannot cope with it, but their numbers are marginal. Computers can play any video format with no problems.

  • Few concern about dataguard

    Hi Support Team,
I have few concern about dataguard :
    1) How many standby DR we can create for single Primary server ?
    2) In which DB Server "Primary and Standy" : FAL_CLIENT and FAL_SERVER parameter is optional ?
    2) What happen if in standby DR: we will recreate Password file with different credentials ?
    Thanks

    1) How many standby DR we can create for single Primary server ?
You can create upto 9 standby database for a single primary database
    (Refer link : http://docs.oracle.com/cd/B19306_01/server.102/b14239/concepts.htm)
    2) In which DB Server "Primary and Standy" : FAL_CLIENT and FAL_SERVER parameter is optional ?
The FAL_CLIENT database initialization parameter is no longer required.
    ( Refer link : http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E11882_01/server.112/e25608/whatsnew.htm )
    2) What happen if in standby DR: we will recreate Password file with different credentials ?
The passwords on primary and standby site must be same, else primary db wont be able to connect to standby db and there will heartbeat failed error message in the alert log of the primary db.

  • Security concern/ application concerns and procedures for zeroing all data

    Hi,
I've looked through the posts and can't find the answers to my questions so here goes:
I've had a MacBook Pro for about a year, and I may have to return it to my employer. In an effort to prepare the machine and make sure my information can't be accessed once it is returned I have read that the proper thing to do is zero all data (I have read the MAC how-to page on the process).
I was told that zeroing all data will remove my files and access to trashed items after I give it back to my employer, but I have a few concerns:
    1. I have an external hard drive with more than enough room to transfer my files, but what exactly does everyone mean by "all my files"? Just my personal files in the various applications like iPhoto, iTunes, and even My Documents, or are there others as well?
    2. Although I have the DVD/CD that came with the machine, there were additional software applications installed by the administrator at my place of work (Office - Power Point etc). Do these things get removed when I zero data or will they still be there?
    3. Lastly, is it true that you should zero up to three times to make sure your data is inaccessible? I know it will take about 24 hours to do approx. 20 gb's....
    Thanks so much in advance,
    Goldilox

I have an external hard drive with more than enough room to transfer my files, but what exactly does everyone mean by "all my files"?
Well what do you mean by all your files? Usually all your things will be in your home folder, so as long as you have enough space to contain that, you'd be okay.
Although I have the DVD/CD that came with the machine, there were additional software applications installed by the administrator at my place of work (Office - Power Point etc). Do these things get removed when I zero data or will they still be there?
Zeroing data happens at the drive device level, so everything on that volume will be gone. It's akin to formatting.
Lastly, is it true that you should zero up to three times to make sure your data is inaccessible? I know it will take about 24 hours to do approx. 20 gb's....
It depends who you're worried the attacker is. For most people, zeroing a few times will be enough to prevent them ever retrieving the data. Very expensive specialised data recovery equipment can still recover data from a zeroed drive, though... so if you're afraid of the police, or the FBI, or the NSA, then you're better off physically shredding the hard drive.

  • A few questions about CCP

    Hey,
I work in IT support for a post production facility that recently migrated NLEs from FCP7 to Premiere. Up until this point I have been installing updates on our workstation (21 Mac Pro towers) manually, via the CC Desktop app. This has been a pain, both since updates come out so often and the desktop app tends to have the weirdest bugs, and because having to re-download the updates on every machine has been time consuming and eating up our internet bandwidth.
A few days ago I decided to look for an alternative and found out about CCP, which sounds like the perfect solution for us.. But after reading all the info I could find in Adobe help, I still have a few concerns that weren't addressed:
    1. If an update is already installed on the target machine, will it be skipped, re-installed or cancel out the entire installation?
    2. If a software that needs to be updated is running while the package is deployed, will that stop the installation, close/crush the program, or just skip on it's update?
    3. Will I get any sort of confirmation after the process is done? Error codes if anything went wrong\wasn't installed or indication that the updates have finished installing? Or alternatively, is there any sort of event log for CCP where I can make sure?
    4. If I'm deploying a package with updates for numerous apps, one or more of which aren't installed on the target machine - will they be installed from scratch or skipped during installation?
Also, yesterday I created a test-package with the latest AME update and installed it on an existing machine without changing any settings - the installation process was fine and AME was indeed updated. However, today I wanted to update Premiere using the Desktop app, and saw that the software appeared as "Up to date" even though it was an old version (8.0.1). I figured out that was because CCP's default is to disable updates from the desktop app - that is fine and I know how to change that setting for my next packages, but what about the station I already installed on? Is there a way to change the setting post-installation?
The only thing I could find on the subject was that deploying a package with the "Admin users update..." option set will re-enable automatic update checking. I tried that three times, and for some reason the installation process fails to reset this function. I also tried the obvious like restarting the machine, reseting PRAM and permissions, etc.
Is there a specific preference file (on Mac) that I can remove/modify that will re-enable updating via the Desktop app? Or is my only option to remove the entire Creative Cloud with the CC cleaner tool and re-install?
    Thanks,
    Michael

    My best guesses:
    1) No idea.  This would be a good place to test with a VM.
    2) Depends on the options set when creating the CCP pkg.  The default is to ignore conflicting processes, so it likely would encounter problems if the targeted software to upgrade is running when the pkg is applied.
    3) The logs are a bit scattered, since the installation logs are per-program (e.g. InDesign, Illustrator, etc) plus the log of the master installation process itself.  Take a look at Troubleshoot install issues with log files | CC.
    4) If you mean you have a pkg with only updates included for an application where the original application isn't on the target machine (say, you have an update pkg that includes an update for Photoshop CC 2014.2.1 but not Photoshop itself, at least the Photoshop update would fail.  Maybe the whole pkg.  Consider packaging updates individually?
Regarding reenabling user-managed updates, see Disable auto-updates | Application Manager | IT administrators.  That'll point you to the right file, at least it was the right file in CS6.

    2. will I loose my iweb internet site?
    3. do I need to de-authorize my itunes account before install?

    Welcome to Apple Discussions!
    1. Where can I find a detailed step by step of what to do before/during/after install? ( i have a bootable backup already)
    My FAQ*:
    http://www.macmaps.com/upgradefaq.html
    2. will I loose my iweb internet site?
Not if you archive and install and save user settings and your system is healthy. There is no guarantee your system is healthy, which is why you made a bootable backup.
    3. do I need to de-authorize my itunes account before install?
    No.
    4. How/can I bring my mail messages into the new mail......
They will not move as long as you save user and network preferences.

  • Switching from Wintel to Apple - expansion & gaming concerns

So I'm thinking of taking the plunge and making my next PC an Apple. However, I have a few concerns:
    1) Gaming. Apple likes to position themselves as the computer for the home while the Wintel is the computer for business. However, I can't help but notice a real dearth of gaming titles for the Mac. Seems kind of odd since gaming is pretty popular with home PCs. Will Windows games run decently on an iMac operating Windows? I'm thinking of Company of Heroes and Supreme Commander in particular.
    2) Expansion. I like the all in one look of the iMac but am worried about expansion. One of the things I really like about my Wintel PC is that I can open it up and easily replace parts without any tools in a matter of minutes. Upgrading memory, video cards, hard drives, etc. is a snap. How hard is it to do this on the iMac? Is it even possible? Not crazy about owning a computer that requires me to haul it into a shop and pay someone to install new memory or a video card.
    Thanks!

    rkaufmann87 wrote:
doing any other type of changes such as replacing the HD will void your warranty.
Not necessarily. As far as I remember, FCC regulations prohibit Apple from voiding the warranty for upgrading parts since they do not state there are "no user serviceable parts." You can upgrade the CPU, LCD, etc and, as long as you don't damage anything, the original parts are still under warranty. Obviously the news ones will not be. Whether this is wise is a question for another day. I've upgraded the hard drive in 2 Mac minis and the Intel iMac looks easy on comparison
So anyway, yes, you can upgrade the HDD but you're talking about an invlved process requiring more than a little bit of experience upgrading hardware (in Apple products, not PC's). here's the walkthrough if you want it:
    http://home.comcast.net/~woojo/DFFA53A0-F23D-4541-9015-481FD3B6532E/iMac_Disasse mbly.html
As for gaming, you can dual-boot Windows and run games from there so it's kind of a non-issue (except for a GPU that can't be upgraded). I imagine the next decade will see the gaming gap between Mac and PC shrink.

  • Upgrade to 10.6 Concerns

I am about to upgrade from 10.5 to 10.6. I have a few concerns that I would like answered before proceeding:
    - What affect will the upgrade have on my Time Machine archive ? Will I continue to be able to easily restore files from my current (10.5) archive ? Will a new archive need to be started once upgrade is complete ?
    - I use the Apache, PhP, mysql and and such. Should I be concerned about loosing any configurations ? Is my 'websever' dir (inside "Library") safe ?
    - I do some iPhone development on this machine as well. Should I have any concerns about the xcode, other sdk elements or the security identities (for provision files and such) ?
    - Generally, what effect will the switch to 64bit have on my currently installed applications ? Can I expect the majority of them to continue working without issue ? (most specifically I am concerned about Adobe products like Dreamweaver and such)
I do realize these questions may seem a bit simple and unnecessary, but, I am just the kind of person that likes to be completely certain of the affects of something like an OS upgrade before I execute. That and I hate repeating configuration steps.
Thanks in advance for any responses.

What affect will the upgrade have on my Time Machine archive ? Will I continue to be able to easily restore files from my current (10.5) archive ? Will a new archive need to be started once upgrade is complete ?
As long as you have your 10.5 installer disc, and you don't delete the old archives of your 10.5 backups that you wish to keep, you'll be fine. Note Time Machine recursively deletes intermediate backups to allow space for newer backups once the archived backups fill up the hard drive. You can avoid this at anytime, by imaging the said backups to DVD or another non-Time Machine hard drive before allowing further backups to take place. You can manually turn off Time Machine's activity in the Apple menu -> System Preferences -> Time Machine.
I use the Apache, PhP, mysql and and such. Should I be concerned about loosing any configurations ? Is my 'websever' dir (inside "Library") safe ?
These applications may change their nature. That's a question you should pose to the various resources that allow you to use them. If you wish to assure your web server is safe, keep a clone of your 10.5 system handy in event some don't work.
I do some iPhone development on this machine as well. Should I have any concerns about the xcode, other sdk elements or the security identities (for provision files and such) ?
    Ask developers here:
    http://discussions.apple.com/forum.jspa?forumID=727
Generally, what effect will the switch to 64bit have on my currently installed applications ?
Universal applications which do not require system plugins, contextual menu items or drivers generally will be fine. Rosetta applications may in some cases break. See these guides on compatible applications and drivers:
    http://snowleopard.wikidot.com/
    http://www.macintouch.com/specialreports/snowleopard/slcompat.html
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3669
You will have an option to run some applications in 32bit mode in the Finder's File menu -> Get Info that sometimes will improve compatibility.
64 bit mode is not available to all Intel Macs. These will work:

  • Some concerns with a newly purchased Yoga 11s (Haswel)

I just picked up the 11s from Best Buy, and so far I really like it. A few concerns though:
    1) When using the virtual keyboard in tablet mode, the keyboard feedback noise seems to be messed up. When I tap a key, the sound will be soft and every once in a while it will make a louder feedback noise. It's not just one same volume level for each key press. Any way to fix this?
    2) I always inadvertently press a keyboard key (one of the function buttons on top) while folding the 11s from laptop mode to tablet mode. It seems that the keyboard does not become disabled until the red "Tablet Mode" notification on the top-right appears, which is usually after a few seconds of folding it. Until this, the keyboard is still active and I always accidently press the airplane mode key, screen backlight key, the refresh key, or some other key. I also sometimes click the mouse pad. Is there some way to either have the keyboard disable faster, or to fold it in such a way as to avoid accidently pressing the keys?

I'm not Lenovo support, but I'll chime in to offer my $.02
    1) The D:\ partition should contain drivers and installers for some bundled apps. The other partitions are for recovery, and I believe 13GB is dedicated for the main recovery partition. You can delete those extra partitions and then resize them using diskpart. You could also perform a clean Win 8 install and zap all of the partitions during setup.
    2) In regards to the battery, open the Lenove Energy Management utility and change it to Maximum battery life.

  • Concerns over 13" MBP, please help

I own a 27" iMac, wanted a laptop for mobile convenience. I did order a 13" MBP Monday and it will be here Wednesday, if I don't open it ; I have until January to return. I have a few concerns after reading several posts:
1.) How long will the present 13" MPB configuration be adequate ?? Meaning before it would get sluggish??
2.) I thought 13" screen got upgraded when other MBP's did, but it doesn't show having a high def screen. Is the current screen crisp??
3.) is it stupid to spend $1100 on almost a year old configuration?? I never would of in the pc market.
    Please give me insight.

Most authorized retailers only give you two weeks to return.
The 90 day warranty is not a return policy.
Verify January really applies as return, and you aren't confusing AppleCare's free phone and software support for a return plan.
The speed of a Macbook is fine for all but heavy time gamers, high end video editing, and time sensitive photo manipulation.
Yes the screen is crisp, visit a store near you to see how much.

  • Potential MBP Pro Buyer Warranty/Return Policy Concerns

    Hi folks,
I'm a long-term Windows user seriously considering moving to the MacBook Pro. I have followed the forums here for two months to gather info regarding problems and resolutions. I understand that the forums will naturally gather input from people with problems more often than satisfied customers, but following the discussions has left me a few concerns I thought you might could help me with. Most of the problems posted have had some response/resolution from Apple, which is encouraging. Some, however, seem to have had problems that were addressed by a " that's within specs" response, most concering (to me) of which are (1) heat generation; (2) uneven LCD display; and (3) limited wifi distance reception.
The return policy states that in order to return for refund you have to do so within 14 days AND that any "customized" product "may not be returned for refund or exchange under any circumstances" except Dead on Arrival. First, does this mean if I, for example, order a different size hard drive than standard that my MBP is not eligible for refund? Also, if I take a "stock" machine and I have a problem with, say, the wifi reception and Apple takes it in for repair and it's returned "within specs" after 14 days and I still hate it, is it no longer eligible for refund?
I'm impressed with what I've read about MBP, but I'm also concerned about dropping $3,700 (as I've spec'd mine with the software and accessories I need) and then having no recourse if my wifi won't pick up more than 10 feet from the wireless router, as some have experienced.
Any help appreciated, sorry for the length of the post.

Heat Generation: People have over dramatized this problem. People are still trying to stop/reverse the movement from a Portable back to a "laptop". The bottom line is that the faster these things get, the more heat they will generate. I just used my fiance's Powerbook (one generation right behind our MacBook Pros) and for what I was doing the Powerbook remained cold and my MBP got hot. The difference... my MBP got the task done 4x faster.
There are a few people with abnormal heating concerns, but I doubt that any person really brought their computer in complaining about the heat... they seem to just whine here about it and then emphasize that they paid so much money for the device.
Uneven LCD Display: I'm assuming you mean the backlight. My display and many other peoples' work great. There are maybe 1 or 2 display settings where I would consider the display "uneven" but it's when I have the computer at 1 or 2 bars of darkness. At high to full brightness my computer has no dark spots. Any applecare rep should take care of any display lighting problems.
Limited Wifi reception: Now this one is a problem. I really wouldn't call it limited, I would call it unreliable. My WiFi is HORRENDOUS using WEP, but since changing all of my WEP connections to WPA or some other form of security my MBP has provided excellent wireless coverage.

  • Few quick questions..

I got my new macbook about 2days ago... Since then i'e already fully discharged and recharged twice... However on reading on here it seems that that is a bad thing to have done..
So i was just wondering if you could clear up a few concerns.
1.) is doing what i did really bad, because my understanding over the past few years was that if you didnt charge/discharge them properly that stuffed up your battery life.
2.) is it really okay to have it fully charged, plugged in, and left like that for 2days straight? (For Hypothetical sake,); can i use it all day long plugged in charged or is it bad.
3.) so if #1 is actually bad, that means it is PERFECTLY FINE to keep using it and plugging it in to charge twice a day even if i only run it down to 80% left on the charge b4 charging?
4.) Is there anything, considering i've only just recently acquired the macbook (less then 2days old) that i should kno wabout being a happy customer and how to appropriately use the macbook to make sure that im not posting in one year's time that i am an angry customer because i only get an hours battery usage out of it.
5.) What are the best ways to get 4-5hours out of a charge, and what can i realistically be doing on the macbook at that time to get that, i.e. lets say i was at uni at a lecture just using microsoft word to type notes and what not, aswell as itunes or safari going or something
6.) thankyou for reading my questions.

Yes, there is no reason to do this with li_ion batteries. You will only wear out the battery for no reason.
2.) is it really okay to have it fully charged, plugged in, and left like that for 2days straight? (For Hypothetical sake,); can i use it all day long plugged in charged or is it bad.
Yes, It is OK Once the battery is charged it sits dormant and the computer use the power only from the AC supply. The battery is not getting charged after it is full.
3.) so if #1 is actually bad, that means it is PERFECTLY FINE to keep using it and plugging it in to charge twice a day even if i only run it down to 80% left on the charge b4 charging?
It doesn't matter when you charge it. It only has to be below 95 % or the charger won't turn on.

There is a link describing how to get the best life. Turn off anything you don't need and turn the screen brightness down.
6.) thankyou for reading my questions.
Your welcome. Here are things that will help you best take care of your battery.
It is OK to leave your battery hooked to the charger most of the time. The only time I unhook mine from the charger is when I calibrate. You should calibrate your battery once a month.

  • R7850 Power Edition 2GD5/OC and Afterburner + Driver Issues/Concerns?

I just got my R7850 Power Edition 2GD5/OC today, and did a fresh install of Windows 7 but just had a few concerns and issues so far:
    1. When using the latest beta (12.11) from AMD, Nexuiz seems to cause the system to BSOD. Kombustor, BF3, and other games didn't have any issues, so I just found this strange. However, these are beta drivers for a reason I guess. In any case, 12.10 seems to work fine with Nexuiz, so it definitely seems driver-related...
    2. The highest Core Clock limit in Afterburner is 1050MHz, the same limit in Catalyst. Since this is a PE/OC card, I would've figured the limit to be way higher than this by default? I tried enabling the unofficial overclocking method (t=338906 on Guru3D), but this just caused Afterburner to not have/set any values for both Core and Memory Clocks. I then took a look at this guide (t=359671 on Guru3D) and put the 2 .dll's in Afterburner's folder, and it causes it to be able to read and set clocks properly, however, there is an insane amount of flickering at times (I think due to switching of clocks?).
    3. MSI LiveUpdate 5 can't read my card BIOS or get any information about it aside from it being a 7800 Series card. I was mainly interested in checking for any VBIOS updates, and if it helps, GPU-Z tells me my BIOS Version is 015.015.000.002.000000 (113-xxx-xxx).
    4. The dust-removal fan tech, or more specifically, the fan reversal spinning doesn't stop after 30 seconds if no GPU driver exists in Windows. In other words, if I'm using the Standard VGA drivers, the fans keep spinning (in reverse I'm pretty sure) at what sounds like full power.
I have CPU-Z and GPU-Z validation URL's in my signature for any more system information, and I also have a hec 585W PSU.

For 1. you already solved this yourself to be driver related.
Yeah, I guess I was just more or less curious if anyone else had a similar incident with these drivers.

For 2.: Use Driver Fusion in Safe Mode to remove current VGA drivers.
Then install latest drivers from MSI
    Try again
From what I understand, those are just the standard Catalyst 12.8 drivers from AMD? In any case I saw http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=18431335 which in short said to make a desktop shortcut of AB with -xcl, and download some patch; and doing both of those actually worked on Catalyst 12.10 drivers. So everything (so far) seems ok, no flickering or anything.

  • Is anyone doing disaster recovery for a J2EE application?

We generally use database log shipping to maintain a standby database for our ABAP instances.  We can successfully fail over our production application to our disaster recovery site with no real issues.  With the J2EE instances (EP, ESS/MSS, BI, etc), we have a few concerns:
hostname cannot change, without going through a system copy procedure, so we would have to keep the hostnames in DR the same. (for example, ref: oss note 757692 - changing hostname is not supported)
fully qualified domain name - from what I understand, there are potentially issues with changing the fqdn, for example SSO certificates, BSPs, XI has issues, etc.
we can't keep both hostname and fqdn the same between DR and production, or we could never do a DR test.
Has anyone implemented disaster recovery for any SAP J2EE application that has run into these concerns and addressed them?  Input would be greatly appreciated regarding how you addressed these issues, or how you architected your disaster recovery implementation.

I haven't done this personally, but I do have some experience with these issues in different HA environments.
To your first point:  You can change the hostname, note 757692 tells you exactly how to do it.  However like the note says, "Changing the name of a host server in a production system is not automatically supported by SAP."  When it says "supported by SAP" I think it means SAP the company, not SAP's software.  So I would contact SAP to see if this configuration would be covered under your service agreement.  Then you have to think about whether you want to do something that isn't "officially supported" by SAP.  Also I'm sure you'll need some kind of additional licensing for the DR systems as their hardware keys will de different.
To your second point:  As for SSO certs (SAP Login Tickets), I think they should still work as long as the SID and client number of the issuing system remain the same.  I don't think they are hostname or fqdn dependant.  For BSPs I would think they would still work as long as they use relative paths rather than absolute paths.  And for XI... I have no idea what kind of issues may arise, I'm not an XI guy.
Again, I haven't done what you're describing myself.  This is just based on my HA experiences.
    Hope this helps a little,

  • Linking two ODS objects using a multiprovider

    Hello Gurus,
I need to link two ODS objects and both are having 3 common characteristics and the relationship between the two objects are one to many.
    My questions would be....
1)When the relationship is one to many can I set it up in the multiprovider to sum it up and show in the report?
2)I have 5 other charaterstics that I need to report(Slice and dice) on, but these are not common ones to both ODS objects. Is it possible for the user to get the report based on these charaterstics also? Or do I need to make sure that these 5 also exist in both DOS objects?
    Thank you,
    DM

    Hi Sh,
Thank you very much for your reply. But I have few concerns.
1)One to many relationship will not have any effect on the data linking since the multiprovider clubs the key figures on common characteristics. I tried this on the system and it worked.
2)The problem would be not having similar characteristics on both infoproviders. So if I want to report on the chars individually it will have a problem( Will come as non assigned values)
But the documentation says the multiprovider supports Homogenous and Heterogeneous cases. Please refer the following link.
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/52/1ddc37a3f57a07e10000009b38f889/frameset.htm
I am not sure what I can do now....whether to get all the characteristics in both infoproviders by enhancing the them. Or is there another way?
And lastly the scenario I am looking at is billing and cost of goods. So I might find records in cost of goods which may not have corresponding records in billing.(There can be goods in stock which need to be billed)The problem would be the way multiprovider link records(union) so it will have all the records from both sides even if they do not correspond to each other.
Let me know what you think.
    Cheers,
    DM

  • Google Maps Navigation and Google Music problem

    Hello,
I love the LG G2 but it has a few concerning issues. First, is the squealling, hissing, cracking, popping, etc. during phone calls, but I have seen that brought up by others.
The second problem that I've discovered, and the most upsetting to me, is that when using the Google Maps Navigation and Google Music All Access at the same time, whenever the navigation voice instructs a direction, the music shuts off. It is then silent until the navigation voice instructs the next direction OR when a new track starts. This was not a problem on my droid bionic, so it must be an LG G2 issue. This is a huge problem to me as I travel a lot for work and usually use GPS to find where I'm going, and I subscribe to Google Music All Access so I listen to music in the car. This problem makes that impossible to do (I have to choose).
A related issue, is that my Alpine CD player displayed track information (Artist, Song, Album) with my Droid Bionic, but with the LG G2 it displays 'UNKNOWN'. I find it hard to believe that a two year old phone has capabilities that a brand new phone wouldn't, so I'm hoping these issues will be fixed with a software patch.
Has anybody else experienced these issues, or does it work fine with your LG G2?

Hawaii is a part of the USA so you will be fine there. Mexico on the other hand, you will be roaming for data there and could see extra charges for international data.
