A/P Invoice Draft convert to actual A/P Invoice Error

Hi all,
I had a problem as of mention in the Subject header.
First of all, I am using SBO 2004.2B and 2004 SDK.
I had created a small program to read in text file to create A/P Invoice Draft, no problem up till now.
However, when I convert the A/P Invoice Draft to actually A/P Invoice Document, system will prompt me a message "[ADO12] ..... cannot insert the value null into column ObjectType table 'DatabaseName.dbo.ADO12';column does not allow null.... "
I do a self checking and release that the Draft document I added,using DI, did not add a line in table DRF12. Thus, when I convert the Draft to actual document it prompt me this error. I also realised if I will to use Data Transfer Workbench to create Draft Document, and when I convert the Draft Document to actual document it also result in the same error.
Any help on how to tackle this?

Have you tried to visualize the Draft you have created with B1 application and save it as document by directly using B1? Do you have the same error?
If you create the Draft with B1 and try to add it after that as document the DeliveryDate and TaxCode are missing, do you fill this information when adding your document?
I think you should open a message for support in SMP, they will try to reproduce your problem.

    Thanks for your reply. It has thrown some light to my problem. In this case as per my question the Draft has to be copied to invoice manually right. Is there a way in which I can go across directly to invoice and I would like the Accounting people to veirify or amend the Invoice and post it.
    This would avoid the Draft aspect and make the process simple.
    Can you suggest.

  • Open AR Invoice-Drafts via UI-Api

    Hy All!
    Im loocking for a way to open the window of a AR Invoice-DRAFT using the UI.
    I need to open a specific Draft that i added bevore via DI, so i know the DocEntry aso. of my Drafts.
    I can't open the invoice-form, set it to "Search" mode and search for the Draft that i added bevore.
    Does somebody knows a way to do this ?

    Add an edittext and a link arrow object to a form.
    The link arrow should be linked to the edittext, and have a linkedobject of type lf_Drafts (112)
    You can then use UI code to put the DocEntry into the edittext, and then call the click method of the link arrow.  This will result in the Draft Invoice window (or other window depending on the type of draft document) opening with your record displayed.
    If you don't want to see the link arrow and editext, simply position them off the visible part of the screen.

  • Unable to alter AP Invoice draft

    While trying to add frieght/carriage to AP Invoice draft error come up as " tax code missing or out of date". The problem occures only for items. Tried in PL35 AND PL39 2007A.

    Have you checked the dates on this tax code and checked perhaps that there's nothing funny in your posting periods setup? If you say that in the one db the configuration is exactly the same as the other one then it points to a data related issue in which case I would advise logging a call with SAP support.

  • Delivry Challan/Proforma Invoice and Actual A/R Invoice Number sud b same

    Hi.. Experts , Please read the following scenario :
    my client wants to send the proforma Invoice to his customer at the time of delivery. He does not want to punch actual A/R Invoice at this stage reason some time his delivery gets rejected due to some reason. So he wants to be at safer side.
    When the send goods is successfully delivered only then he wants to punch actual A/R invoice in the system with the same number of Proforma Invoice.
    Solution I have given :
    What I have done, I have prepared one more PLD named Proforma Invoice based on the Delivery document.  the Number of this Proforma Invoice is based on manually entry number. when the goods is successfully delivered to the customer, Actual A/R Invoice with same Number (Proforma Invoice number) manually entered.
    Please let me know whether this solution is suitable or not..

    No there is no issue in document Number but I feel it would be bit tough to maintain document number manually in future because here I I have to punch A/R Invoice Number manully with the number of Proforma Invoice (delivery Document Number).
    Lets say during delivery , the proforma Invoice number i punch is  3000 but this document number is not available for A/R Invoice. then how I will maintain this situtation ?

    Dear All
    I am using A/P Invoice as Draft. if some one pull a report and approve the draft ( Document Saved as Draft) the status will show as closed and it will not show in draft report if i tick open only .
    But if i open the draft document (status closed) i can still add the document, system is preventing me from adding the document , there are chances of duplication. how can i avoid duplication

    I want to create a A/P Invoice-Draft via Purchasing module,when clicking The Add Button the invoice is directly posted to the G\L without create a draft that other user who have permissions can view and approval via the Approval Decision Report.

    I am not sure about your  problem.It looks to me that your approval query is not triggered .
    There could be th reason:
    1.If you are using user defined query ,and you are not meeting the condition to trigger.
    2. For example : If you said  Trigger approval procedures if sales order total is greater than 200.
         It won't trigger approval procedures if sales Order total is less than 200. And User can add the document .
    When Approval Procedures triggers, then the document that triggers  stays as a draft  until it is approved .
    One quick way to check if it not your query , on the condition  specify always .(Approval template >> term >> always . See if it creates the same situation .

  • Invoice split based only on payer, material, invoice date

    Dear Friends,
    I have an issue which I don't know how to move further..
    Task:  avoid Invoice split during collective invoice creation in VF04. Invoice should be grouped by: payer, material, invoicing date.
    What I'm doing: clearing all fields which could cause invoice split in copy routine rv60c903 ( this one is used for this type of invoices ) in VBRK. Then changing partners - sold-to, ship-to, bill-to in enhancement., so that they are equal for all invoices with the same payer party. And also VBRK-ZUKRI is filled accordingly with the grouping parameters: VBKD-PERFK and VBRP-MATNR.
    What I can't understand: when I run SIMULATE in VF04, the invoices are grouped correctly, BUT when I run the actual Collective Billing button, for each delivery a new billing document is created.. I can't understand this!

    As Madhu tells you, check your settings in customizing (tcodes VTFA and VTFL). Second, take in account always the SAP Note 11162 - Invoice split criteria in billing document and related notes. Finally, set your own algorithm to rule the splitting defining ZUK structure to determine the value of VBRK-ZUKRI (remember that this field is a char 40) in your own VOFM subroutine.

    J1iiN is for Excise invoice posting for Factory sales.
    whereas, J1iN is for excise invoice posting for Delivery from Depot.
    In my opinion, multiple posting of Billing doc is not possible.
    Whereas, you can view billing due list for excise posting by using tcode J1iDUEList

  • Invoice Footer printing on every page of invoice instead of first page only

    Hi,
    I am working on an AR invoice report. I have a RTF template (template is 1 page only) and the output is PDF. The invoice has invoice header ( bill to , pay to ) and invoice line details. On the bottom of the first page of every invoice , I need to show the "customer address" and other details such as "total amt , customer no etc".. If the invoice line details overflow , only that information should be printed on the next page..
    Right now , I have put the portion which needs to be displayed only on the first page in the "footer" section of the RTF. Due to footer , it gets repeated on every page of invoice..
    I tried to get the current page number(<fo:page-number>) and compare it to 1 , but somehow its giving me syntax eorror...
    Can someone please provide me directions on how to do this.. I can send the template and XML data if needed...

  • CAST Not working for me - Arithmetic overflow error converting int to data type numeric - error

    GPM is DECIMAL(5,2)
    PRICE is DECIMAL(11,4)
    COST is DECIMAL(7,2)
    Trying to update the Gross Profit Margin % field and I keep getting the "Arithmetic overflow error converting int to data type numeric" error.
    UPDATE SMEMODETAIL SET SMD_GPM = (SMD_PRICE-SMD_COST) / SMD_PRICE * 100
    FROM SMEMODETAIL WHERE SMD_PRICE<>0 AND SMD_QUANTITY<>0
    Example record:
    SMD_PRICE    SMD_COST    GPM%
    1.8500            1.62                12.4324324324324300
    I added cast and I still get the error.
    How do I format to get this to work?

    The error is caused by some value such as 1000.01 of the expression (SMD_PRICE-SMD_COST) / SMD_PRICE * 100 exceeds the
    precision of the column(DECIMAL(5,2)). The example data doesn't cause the overflow error for the value of the expression is 12.43 which is in the scope of DECIMAL(5,2).
    USE TestDB
    CREATE TABLE SMEMODETAIL
    SMD_PRICE DECIMAL(11,4),
    SMD_COST DECIMAL(7,2),
    SMD_GPM DECIMAL(5,2)
    INSERT INTO SMEMODETAIL(SMD_PRICE,SMD_COST) SELECT 1.8500,1.62

    The solution of your case can be either scale the DECIMAL(5,2) or follow the suggestion in Scott_morris-ga's to check and fix your data.

    Hello Mizan - if you add an AR Invoice and it immediately and automatically goes to "closed" status, then you have a big system problem on your hands.  There is no way SAP B1 should automatically close an AR Invoice unless someone has done a manual reconciliation or has created an AR Credit Memo or has made a payment or has closed/cancelled the AR Invoice manually.
    Call your SAP Partner or SAP Support immediately!!!

  • Invoice amount/quantity not populating when parking invoice before GR

    Hi gurus,
    When I am going to park an invoice without GR (the import cases where invoice comes first) the system is not populating the amount/quantity in the invoice (MIR7).
    If I will check the GR based invoice option in the purchase order than it picks the amount/quantity.
    My users requirement is the population of amount/quantity in case when GR not performed.
    Can anyone help me out from this scenario.

    Thanks for your reply but in the cases of import the GR won't be possible. The invoice will be received before GR and if the amount/quantity does not populated automatically then there is a 100% chances of error (manual entry).
    There should be some way through which these fields will be populated.

  • Second Invoice PLD should have value of First Invoice with same SO

    The scenerio is as such a Sales Order is created for the value of 1000. Now based on this sales order a partial invoice No 1 is created for 500. Again after somedays based on the same sales order another invoice No 2 is created for 300. Now in the Invoice No 2 prinout I want that Invoice Number 1 value which is 500 should also come.
    How to achive this in PLD.

    In the scenario you just described, only two invoices will be created to complete one sales order.
    Could you create a UDF on the invoice header linked to the following query
    SELECT  T0.DocTotal
    FROM OINV T0 INNER JOIN INV1 T1 On T0.DocEntry = T1.DocEntry
    WHERE T1.BaseRef = $[$38.44.0]
    refreshed on a header field that will always change once a line is entered (Doc Total for example).
    This will populate the UDF with the previous amount  and you just need to use that field in the PLD.

    TESTED IN 2007A PL44 - You could apply the same logic with the Invoice Doc Number in another UDF so you can show the first invoice price and doc number. And if you call the docnumber as well, than we can apply he logic to more than 2 invoices.
