A really stupid question - Please Help

Question

Hi Just learning Java, so please forgive my ignorance
I've built a splash screen for an appilcation and cannot get the applicationMain, to initialise the Splash, this is the code I have:
class applicationMain
     public static void main (String args[])
          application appv1= new application ("Application");
mySplash splash = new mySplash(display,"My Splash", true);
but it won't compile with the second line in mySplash.... it keeps highlighting the display.
Please help as it driving me nuts!

This part compiles ok
