Aaargh! My app update was rejected but got no explanation email... :(

Anyone had this happen to them? This is a major update of my app that brings many improvements that users asked for. I and my users as well have been eagerly waiting for it to come online for more than a week now, and now I see this completely unexplained rejection! Apple, come on you are hurting your users If there is a bug (there are a couple of small ones I know of) they should tell me to fix it, but this way what exactly are they expecting me to do now? Please help if you have any suggestions or experienced similar problems, I am very frustrated.

It's possible your spam filters ate the email. The one rejection I've received came with an email explanation. Send an email to the Apple using the Contact link at the bottom of the Manage Apps screen. But double check your spam folder.

    When you updated, the old version remained on your Mac, in a subfolder within Applications named iWork '09.  Any icons you have on the Dock still point to that old version.  Try opening the Numbers that is located in your main Applications folder, not the one in the subfolder. If that works, then drag that one to the Dock.

    Go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs (Win XP) or Programs and Features (later)
    Remove all of these items in the following order:
    iTunes
    Apple Software Update
    Apple Mobile Device Support (if this won't uninstall move on to the next item)
    Bonjour
    Apple Application Support
    Reboot, download iTunes, then reinstall, either using an account with administrative rights, or right-clicking the downloaded installer and selecting Run as Administrator.
    The uninstall and reinstall process will preserve your iTunes library and settings, but ideally you would back up the library and your other important personal documents and data on a regular basis. See this user tip for a suggested technique.

    There are a number of other threads from people reporting a problem with a blank Updates tab in the App Store app - it looks like there is a problem at Apple's end which they need to fix.
    Some posts are suggesting that you if you go into the Purchased tab in the App Store app you might be able to update the apps from there, though you will need to scroll through the list to find those with updates and individually update them.

  • Workflow need to start at the node where it was rejected but not frm start

    Hi,
    I have a scenario where the workflow is a employee resignation custom workflow.
    Here the case is - when ever the reviewer or the approver rejects the workitem in the workflow the workflow stops and it returns back to the initializer ie the employee who has resigned...
    the moment the employee makes the required changes the workflow starts from the 1st level where as the workflow should start at the point it was rejected but not from the start.....
    The point where it was rejected, or the level where it was rejected it has to start at the same level but not from  the start or the 1st step of the workflow...
    Kindly suggest me that how do i place the scenario where the workflow starts at the node where it was rejected intially...

    Here what i am doing is
    I am running a loop based on the levels there in the entire workflow
    Here there are 8 levels in the workflow, so rather going for 8 consecutive step workflow. I have placed the entire step in one loop to robust the entire process...
    Placing all the levels in one condition, and running the loop. I am trying to capture the Approval or Reject status after every loop run  to see the status and based on that - the level will be determined
    My question over here is - Once the loop is run and i am able to determine the status - whether it is a rejection or an approval.
    as the values are stored in a workflow container or in "z" table (varies from situation to situation) -
    I did not understand that - how do i place the method (  which  determines the level ) and at what position..should it be in the loop or after the loop...
    kindly clarify this as this the only major concern which i have...

    It has NEVER been possible to purchase an unlocked iPhone 3G in the US. Your phone was hacked. Updating it has re-locked it to AT&T. AT&T will NOT unlock iPhones for any reason.
    The phone is now useless to you. There is no legitimate way to fix this. Buy a new phone. Preferably in India.

    Apple doesn't provide service parts to the public.  There is no way to bypass Activation Lock.  Return it and get your money back.  You've been sold a useless device.

  • While backing up my iPhone 4 with iCloud, it stated the update was completed, but I had a few more steps to follow.  This is where I messed up.  I hit continue and got stuck to choose a network.  I have Verizon, so when I selected Other, I got stuck!

    I was backing up my iPhone using iCloud.  It stated the update was completed and to select continue.  Now I have to choose a Network???  I am with Verizon, not Wi-Fi, even though we have Wi-Fi for my laptop.  Selecting other asks for Network Name and Security.  I am lost!  I cannot get out of it!

    Assuming the phone isn't jailbroken, the basic steps (as needed) are:
    Restart phone (you already did this)
    Reset phone
    Restore phone in iTunes using a backup
    Restore in iTunes as new, without using a backup

    If your phone is jailbroken, this is the most frequent cause of the problems you described.  Restoring could permanently brick the phone.
    Note that your iOS is old and the current version is 4.2.8.  It's odd that it wasn't updated when your activated your phone in iTunes, being that you got it last Friday.

  • I have tried everything I've read about this but it hasn't worked. I have 5 outstanding app updates to do but when I go to the update screen it is blank. What is wrong?

    Apparently, there is a problem with Apple’s servers. I have seen one article from another tech source that was talking about it but I have seen nothing official from Apple.
    According to Fly150 in another discussion, this will work.
    If you want to update the Apps while waiting for Apple to fix Updates:
    1. Go to App Store
    2. Select Purchased
    3. Select All
    4. Scroll down to find the Apps showing update
    5. Select update on the Apps
    This should update the Apps and get rid of the update count in App Store. Apple needs to fix this. It is a workaround only.

  • Thought ipod was dead but got it into disk mode

    The other day my ipod froze so i did a reset, it turned back on and gave me a sad icon face. I thought it was dead after reading the forums here. After a few tries, I finally got it into diskmode and the computer recognizes it (shows it as a removable drive listed in my computer).
    Anyways, I tried to restore it with the latest ipod updater, but it does not detect the iPod. What should I do?

  • ITunes says App update is available but it isn't there...

    I have had this problem before when an app was pulled from the store. But there are only 12 apps on my wife's itunes and all of them are in the correct folder and all of them appear to be updated and they all appear to be on the store. iTunes continually says that there is one app that needs to be updated but when I hit the update button there are no updates.
    I have updated all apps on my wife's iPhone and iPad and synced both of them several times but it doesn't help. The app store on both devices says there are no updates.
    Strange.

    This has been an ongoing issue on iTunes for a long time.  Today mine showed I had 2 updates available, but when I clicked it there were like 10.  Then after I updated it all, it still showed there was 1 update available and clicking it showed none.
    You would think that will all the updates to iTunes itself that Apple would have fixed this issue by now.

  • The photo book review pdf file is fully smudged and there are many horizontal lines all over the pictures. the book looks absolutely ok , but the pdf is showing all problems. also when i uploaded the book, it was successful, but got an error message later

    I created a book on I photo and uploaded it yesterday. it was all ok and the order was accepted. However i got an error message today. The book looks perfect on I Photo, when i do a preview, the PDF file is totally smudged and there are 100s of horizontal lines all over the photos. Also the coloures are bleeding all over.
    what can be the case and how can i resolve this.

    if the book looks good order while in safe mode - then reboot into normal mode
