Abap Proxy settings!

Hi Friends,
I was woking on the Abap Proxy scenerio ( Server Type). I was going through the link
Aspirant to learn SAP XI...You won the Jackpot if you read this!-Part III, and this was great.
I hav still not started, but I hav a question.
I cannnot see the Software components and name spaces of  the Integration Repository in the SPROXY transaction in my R/3 system. As per the URL

Hi,
see i cannot change the SCV now, as implementation is already done, is it mandatory...are you sure, because, in a different project, the vendor name as well as SCV is SAP.COm, but still is working,.....and see, my scenerio is ABAP Clent proxy, and in the R/3 system, SPROXY transaction -->GO TO --> Connection test , I get the following :

  • Unallowed RFC-XML Tag (SOAP_EINVALDOC) - Web Service using ABAP Proxy

    Hi there
I am trying to consume a Web Service using ABAP Proxies.  I have done the following in the system:
I configured the HTTP and HTTPS Proxy settings.
I created a package with package interfaces SAI_TOOLS and SAPPINT included under the Use Access tab.
I created the proxy classes by using the WSDL provided by the system I'm trying to interface with.
I created my HTTP destination RFC via SM59.
I configured a logical port for the proxy.
I developed the ABAP code for calling the proxy.
In the code the exception CX_AI_SYSTEM_FAULT gets raised with error message <b>"Unallowed RFC-XML Tag (SOAP_EINVALDOC)"</b> when I call the method for passing data to the destination system in the proxy class.
I had a look at SM21 and the following message was written in the log:
<b>"SOAP Runtime: SOAP Runtime exception: 111 occurred in method XP_READ_TAG of class CL_SOAP_XP at position 1
SOAP Runtime: Exception message: Unallowed RFC-XML Tag (SOAP_EINVALDOC)"</b>.  I also looked at SAP Note 919886 which states that it can be dumps in the system, missing configuration or the path prefix of the RFC destination that is incorrect.  I cannot find any ST22 entries.  The trace file looks as follows:

  • Issue in Iodc- abap proxy scenario

    Hi all
I have a idoc to abap proxy scenario. The issue is ,
when we send the idoc to client A of target system, it works ifne.
But when we send the saem mesage to Client B, we find a error message in sxmb_moni of Target system. the mesage is Application_fault.
Is it because of any error in XI configuration or somethin else.

    hi all
    thanks for all your responses.
I forgot to mention that based on a particualr field value in the idoc , it will be routed to eihter Client 100 or 200 .
I gave the conditions in Receiver Determination.
Same Server Proxy  is used in both the target business sytems.
I have done all the Configuration Steps ,( Created two separate business systems also )
Also I have checked wiht all the system settings to be made in the target system B.
When i trigger the idoc to Client 100, it goes to XI and then reaches  Client 100 of System B
without any problem. I get the desired result from proxy code.
When i send the saem idoc to Client 200, it reaches the target system and routed to client 200. But getting this error message in
the Call Inbound PRoxy step. (from sxmb_moni)
    <SAP:Category>Application</SAP:Category>
      <SAP:Code area="ABAP">APPLICATION_ERROR</SAP:Code>
Since it reaches the target system correctly, i guess there is nothing wrong in the XI configuration side.
But if its Application fault, how come the same data is processed successfully in one client whereas it thorws error in another.

  • File to ABAP Proxy (problem with inbound queues in R3)

    Hi,
In File-XI-ABAP proxy scenario, XI is successfully picking up file and sending it to R3.
But in R3, an inbound queue is created in SMQ2 transaction code and I solved the same to automatically process the Queue by registering that in SMQR transaction code. But even though the inbound queue doesn't appear in SMQ2 (which means that it is processed successfully) it doesn't call the method EXECUTE_ASYNCHRONOUS. Can anyone help me whether I need to do any settings to run that method?
Also can anyone help me, after the inbound queue is successfully processed in SMQ2 transaction, what would be the next step to watch what exactly that queue has done?

    Hi,
Please check the program code for Server ABAP proxy.
This will show you the trigerring of Proxy on inbound side.
ABAP Proxy inbound program - sales order creation - Community Profiles - Wiki

For Queues, you can go to SMQR and check for the register queue. Select and double click on it. If anything is stuck up then you can see in it. Even same with SMQ2

  • File to ABAP Proxy(ProductActivityNotification_In)

    Hi All
I have to develop one scenario for Flat File to ABAP Proxy (ProductActivityNotification_In).
I am going to use Receiver File Adapter(to receive file in PI) and Reiver XI adapter(to send file to SNC proxy ProductActivityNotification_In)
I am new to XI please let me know how to approach to this solution.
What could be the design steps I need to consider?
Do I Need to use content conversion?
    Can I use graphical mapping?
    Thanks for your inputs.
    Regards
    Amol.

    Hey,
You need to import the SNC standard content in XI.
This will provide you with the Proxy interface.
Then you need to do certain settings on the SNC server.
    R3 side
    SLDCHECK
Use this transaction to access the SLD of XI.
    SLDAPICUST
Create an entry for respective XI server
requires hostname, port username and ip.
Can have multiple enteries for different servers.
But you can check only one entry.
based on the entry that is checked, respective SLD API will be triggered from
      SLDCHECK.
    SM59 (T type connections).
To connect to the SLD you need 2 types of TCP/IP connections.
      1)LCRSAPRFC:-
In this you require the gateway host(ip address) and gatewayservice(sapgw[system no.])
YOu also need to give Program ID.
Entry of corresponding Program ID must be maintained in SMGW.
IN SMGW Click GoTo->logged on Clients.
If entry is not there for corresponding XI.
Create a communication channel in XI, pointing to R3 and give a Program ID
in the channel. Once the channel is activated, corresponding Program ID wil
          appear in SMGW.
      2)SAPSLDAPI:-
In this case follow the same porcedure as for LCRSAPRFC.
As far as the Program ID is concerned te procedure mentioned above is for
       Customized RFC's
The RFC destinations mentioned here are both standard RFC's
Hence for these two RFC's no need to Create Program ID's. you just need to
change the System ID of the Program ID.
Both these RFC's are maintained in the J2ee server of XI.
    SPROXY.
In this transcation you can check the Proxies.
If the proxies are not activated (i.e. if the message interfaces are not active)
then you need to maintain one G type RFC destination pointing the resepctive XI server.
In the G tpye RFC destination give the Ip adress of the XI server in the target
host and set the path prefix as /rep.
Goto SPROXY->Goto->connection test-> click on the table SPROXSET.
In this table maintain enteries for ADDRESS_ONLY_FROM_SPROXSET and IFR_HTTP_DEST
The values corresponding to these enteries will be the G tpye RFC destination.
In order to connect R3 to the Integaration server you need to maintain H type
The default RFC is XI_INTEGRATIONSERVER. In you need to give the Target host entry as the
Ip address and Path Prefic as.../sap/XI/engine/?type=entry (this you can get from SXMB_ADM of XI)
You can also create the H type RFc of your own.
goto SXMB_ADM(r3) and open Integration engine configuration.
Goto edit->change global configuration and give the RFC dest name like this:-
    Corresponding Integration server:- dest://{h-type rfc destination}
If you do not want to create RFC destination you can directly give
the Integration server address(that you can obtain from SXMB_ADM of XI) in the
    Corresponding Integration server field.
This is to activate the communication between SNC and PI.
now you need to create the file structure in XI.
the next step is to do the mapping between the file structure and the appropriate interface
As yours is a flat file you need to do a file content conversion
In Integration directory you need to configure two channels one for File and the other one for Proxy.
    regards,
      Milan

  • ABAP Proxy Generation

    Hi All,
I trying to create the ABAP Proxy(OUTBOUND)
I have created the message interface in XI and created outbound proxy in R/3 by using SPROXY Tcode.
Created the ZProgram by calling class.
and completed the Configuration steps in integration builder like (Receiver determination, Interface determination, Receiver Agreement and Receiver communication channel).
When I trying to execute Zprogram in R/3 it is giving "Proxy creation do not transport" and I did not see any message in SXMB_MONI in XI and R/3 too.
Is there any thing needs to be created in XI or R/3.
any help how to trace this..
    Thanks
    M

    HEY MURALI,
In short : these are development steps for ur proxy :
    1. generate the proxy based on a package of 4 layer strucutre.
    2. After generating the proxy , activate it.
    3. i will always test my proxy , at this level so that i can see its working and no issues w.rt. calling from z-program
    4. i will now go and check the working of z-program and activate and execute it. you can also check if the earlier steps were successful , w.r.t debugging ur program.
    5. Also check the settings/ configurations if anything missing.
    Hope this helps

    Hi
Below is the full details of above links
    For link 4196517?
    Q) Hi All,
I have got a requirement to raise an exception from existing ABAP Proxy depending on condition. XI consultant created a fault messge type and attached to the inbound interface message type. I have regenerated the ABAP proxy but I cant find any thing in excpetion tab to raise exception.
Please let me know the solution for this.
    Answers : 1) Go to Sproxy .
Select the message interface for which you generated the proxy.
Click on the Structure tab. Do you see any Exception Class generated for fault message ?
    2) Just follow all the steps defined in the below Blog and you will find the solution.
    /people/shabarish.vijayakumar/blog/2006/11/02/fault-message-types--a-demo-part-1
    3) I can't find any exception class there in 'Structure' tab. what might be the problem.
    4) In SProxy ..under the Message Interface you will see Fault Message Type.
Click on Fault Message Type and check if you can see the fault message type created by xi consultant.
Also ask your xi team to login to IR and re-activate the interface.
    5) I can't find any fault message type under Fault Message Type. I will ask my XI consultant to reactivate the interface.
Is this the only problem for this or is htere any other reason for not finding this fault message type in SPROXY.
    6) Ideally the fault message type should be visible unless he has defined Software Dependencies and using MT from some other SC.
Even if the fault message type is not visible everything could be all right.
Ask him to check if he selected the fault message type while activating the interface.
Do update us when you get a reply from ur xi team.
    7) I have checked with XI admin, he said that he created fault message types in Development Xi but R/3 Development refers to Production XI system in exchange profiles. He asked me to change it to XI development in exhange profile settings. So I am searching info on how to set exchange profiles.
    8) The following link will guide you ..
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04s/helpdata/en/c9/7a1041ebf0f06fe10000000a1550b0/frameset.htm
I dont think we need to do any changes in Exchange Profile for proxy communication.
Changing the RFC Destinations (in your R/3 system)- LCRSAPRFC & SAPSLDAPI should solve your problem.

    Q) Hi All,
We have an ABAP Proxy implemented for posting goods movement and it is calling BAPI function module to post good movement. We have got a requirement that if BAPI returns any error, this error message send back to SAP XI.
    data call proxy

Please let me know how to send the message back to XI.

/people/prateek.shah/blog/2005/06/14/file-to-r3-via-abap-proxy - File to ABAP Proxy
    2) you can utilize the fault messages for such an usage -

    3) You have to do Fault message implementation in this case...
A no. of exception will be there. For any error proxy will catch the exception and will write it in the fault message...so....from r/3 response will go to Xi as Fault message response in case any error/exception occours......
    have look here...
    Fault message implementation.

    5) the file adapter can work only asynchronous, so you cant have a response. You should build two asynchronous messages. File -> proxy inbound and after the bapi call an outbound proxy is called which is sending a second messge to the file adapter.
    6) you can define a synchronous scenario which will include request/response messages.

  • How to find the system's proxy settings programatically

    Hi,
I am creating a ABAP class which acts as a HTTP client and thus I use the standard object  "call method cl_http_client=>create_by_url". This method takes the proxy host and proxy port as input and i want to know how can I find the proxy settings of my system programatically so that I do not ask customers to add these values as configurations for my code.
Is there any standard API in ABAP to find this information?

  • How to configure systems for ABAP Proxy use

Can somebody please point me to the documentation regarding the configuration settings for the use of ABAP proxies, on both the XI and client sides? I have performed readiness checks as specified by SAP, the ABAP Proxy tests all pass, yet when I write a program with a proxy, the message does not appear in the integration engine monitor.
I think I have missed something in configuration settings, but don't know for sure. hence the request.
    Kind Regards,
    Tony.

  • ABAP Proxy connection Between PI and SRM for XMLs

    Hello Experts,
We are trying to set up ABAP proxy connection between PI 7.1 and SRM so we can send XML from SRM into PI.
Our SRM developer is getting an SLD error (below) and seems like something is not set up right in the SLD. Could you help me out with any kind of blog/documention on setting up an ABAP proxy connection between PI and an ABAP system. Something that talks about what steps we need to take in PI and SRM.

  • Prerequisites to configuration for ABAP Proxy -???

My scenario is file->XI->R/3(abap server proxy).
Xi and R/3 are 2 seperate business systems
-Abap server proxy created on R/3 business system. R/3 client 550
    -Xi client 400.
-SLD is common for both XI and R/3
<b>My question is in reference to the below message thread:</b>
<b>1.I  understand all the below configuartaion has to be done on R/3 business system, tell me am I correct</b>
<b>2. are these configuartion needed for <u>client proxy as well as server proxy</u> also?</b>
    HTTP_RESP_STATUS_CODE_NOT_OK
The prerequisites to configuration for ABAP Proxy include: (landscape dependent)
    1. The business systems should be based on SAP Web AS 6.20 and SAP Web AS 6.20 kernel patch level above 1253
    2. You have installed the XI Add-On in each of these business systems as described in the Installation Guide SAP Exchange Infrastructure 3.0
    3. The business systems and your central Integration Server are maintained in the System Landscape Directory (SLD).
Configuration required on the Business System:
    1. Create HTTP connection in the business system.
    Configuration Details:
    Technical Setting:
    1. Following Inputs are required for technical setting
    1 Connection Type: H
    2 Target Host: System name
3 Service Number: HTTP Port name
    4 Path Prefix: /sap/XI/engine/?type=entry
    Logon Security
On the Logon/Security tab page, enter the following logon data:
1 User: XIAPPLUSER (for example); this user should represent the sending business system (see also the SAP XI Security Guide under Service Users for Message Exchange).
2 Password: the password you have specified for this user
3 Client: SAP XI Integration server
    4 Language: Language required
    2. Configuration Business system as local Integration Engine.
    1. Goto Transaction SXMB_ADM
    2. Choose Edit --> Change Global Configuration Data.
    3. Select Role of Business System: Application system
    4. Corresponding Integration server: dest://<HTTPDESTINATION>. Here <HTTPDESTINATION> SAPISU_XID created in step 1. Dest://SAPISU_XID.
    5. Under Specific Configuration Data you can specify additional configuration data
1.Select the relevant category under Specific Configuration Data.
    2.Choose Change Specific Configuration Data.
For ABAP Proxies, Add the following configuration:
    1.Category RUNTIME
    2.Parameters: IS_URL
    3.Current Value: dest://SAPISU_XID
    Configuration of the Integration Engine
    3. Connection between Business System and System Landscape Directory
    1. Create RFC destination (TCP/IP) LCRSAPRFC and SAPSLDAPI for the SLD connection.
1.Execute transaction SM59 in the business system.
    2.Choose Create.
    3.Enter at least the following:
    1.RFC Destination: LCRSAPRFC
    2.Connection Type: T
    3.Description: <your description>
    4.Choose ENTER.
5.Choose the Technical settings tab page and do the following:
6.In the Program ID field under Registered Server Program, enter LCRSAPRFC
7.This program ID must correspond to a program ID specified in the RFC engine settings of the SAP J2EE Engine on the Integration Server host.
    RFC Destination
    2. Maintaining the SAP J2EE Connection Parameters for LCRSAPRFC and SAPSLDAPI in SAP J2EE engine
    1. Goto J2EE Engine
    2. Choose Cluster --> Server --> Services. JCo RFC provider
    3. Under RFC destination specify the following:
    Program ID: LCRSAPRFC
    Gateway Host: <Integration Server host>
Gateway Service: <Integration Server gateway service>
    Number of process: 3
    4. Under Repository specify the following:
    Application Server: <Integration Server host>
    5. Choose Set.
    3. Maintain SLD access details in Transaction SLDAPICUST
    1. You can reuse this program ID for all Business systems
    2. If there is HTTP error during connection, first run transaction SLDCHECK in the Business system. Also check that HTTP connection is working fine.
    3. In XI Adapter use HTTP connection rather then giving R/3 input details as this is easier to transport and maintenance
    4. One receiver adapter can be used for all Interfaces connecting to a Business system.
<b>Thanks for your reply in adavnce.</b>
    KK

    2. are these configuartion needed for client proxy as well as server proxy also?
    >>>>
the configuration is one time thing and your R3 will act as a server or client according to the data being sent or received.
In R3 a point to be noted is that in SXMB_ADM -> Intg. Engine Confg. -> Role of Business System sud be as a Application System.

  • Consuming stateful web service via ABAP proxy

    Hi all,
I´ve got the following scenario. I´ve a ABAP proxy generated based on a WSDL file. The provider is a WebService provided by a tomcat server. (no PI etc. as middleware). The problem i´ve now is that the webservice is stateful so I need a stateful communication between my ABAP report (client) and the Web Service.
I´ve already found the possibiliy to switch on the feature "Session-Oriented Communication" on "Preconfiguration Tab" of the ABAP Proxy Screen. But unfortunately it´s not working.
Anybody knows whether general system settings has to be changed for this. Or anybody has other tips.
I´m currentliy working on the SAP Discovery System v3 which is a Netweaver 7.0.
Many thanks in advance for your answers,
    Andy

  • ABAP Proxy to File - questions

    Hi,
i have tried the following blog:
    /people/ravikumar.allampallam/blog/2005/03/14/abap-proxies-in-xiclient-proxy
and found out that´s not possible to send the message through proxy from the IS(same client as the proxy). right ?
What settings have to be made in our SAP ERP R/3 application System to sent the message the ERP system ?
    Thx,
    Gordon

    Hi,
i have tried the following blog:
    https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/weblogs?blog=/pub/wlg/
    1387
and found out that´s not possible to send the message
through proxy from the IS(same client as the proxy).
    right ?
As michal said, you can't create server or client proxies in the same client of the Integration Server, since it doesn't make sense to send a message from one logical system to itself.
What settings have to be made in our SAP ERP R/3
application System to sent the message the ERP system
    Now I got confused.
You mean you want to do XI (ABAP Proxy)> R/3 scenario?
Or do you want to call one function in R/3 from another function in R/3?
    Regards,
    Henrique.

  • ABAP Proxy Timeout

    Hi!
    I have this scenario:
    SAPR3 (A.Proxy) -> XI ->SOAP
SAP R3 sends Sync Messages to XI, through ABAP proxy, which starts a BPM, this BPM calls a WebService that sometimes takes more than one minute to give a response.
When the process reaches "Close S/A Bridge", it raises a Timeout Exception.
I have already increased HTTP_TIMEOUT in SXMB_ADM and icm/keep_alive_timeout in SMICM, in XI with no effect.
Do i need to change other parameter? Maybe in SAP R3?

    Hi Jose,
go through tuning guide of XI (Once i find the link i update this thread ). The HTTP timeout property can be used for SOAP as well as the underlying transport protocol is http for SOAP messages too. That might help.
Also, the second thing you could do is that by default the Web service client socket timeout is set to 60. Try changing this parameter in the Visual Administrator: Server -> Services -> Web Services Container on the Settings tab.
    Regards
    joel.

  • Jdbc - XI - ABAP Proxy - BW

    Hi,
The scenario is to send SQL records to BW using XI. we are using ABAP Proxy to push the data into the BW.
The message is succussfully transferred to endpoint http://XISERVER:8000/sap/xi/engine?type=entry , which I confirmed from runtime workbench. But in SXMB_MONI the message queue is stopped.
pls could anyone help in fixing it & also let me know in case I need to provide further information to explain the scenario / settings.
    cheers,
    ANUP

But your sm59 Destination works ?
And when you check your Integration Engine Configuration Data is also evething ok ?
It has to look like that:
    Current Configuration (local):
Role of Business System: Application System
         Corresponding Integration Server:
         dest://XIServer
    System Landscape:
Role of Business System: Application System
         http://xiserver:8004/sap/xi/engine?type=entry
Comparison of Current Configuration with System Landscape
Role of Business System: Current Configuration = System Landscape
Corresponding Integration Server: Current Configuration <> System Landscape
    Regards,
    Robin
