Academic Title in Mail Forms

Hi all,
just a short question about mail forms.
We use the mail form for file export, there in the standard attributes you can choose the academic titlle. When you start the campaign with that mail form the system will give you the description of the academic title (Data element AD_TITLE1D) and not the academic title (Data element: AD_TITLE1T) itself. So for example you have Professor instead of Prof. But nobody wants to be addressed as Professor Doctor Maier on a letter but as Prof. Dr. Maier.
Has anyone of you an idea how we can get the short version of the academic title (AD_TITLE1T) in our mail form?

There you can create your own stuctures for your mail forms.
If I remind right, you can choose these attributes as "additional attributes" while creating a mail form.

Error in Mail Form: Academic titles

Hi All,
I have included the fields
1. Title_Key and
2. Title_Aca1 from the BP_Structures in my mail form.
My mail form is in a different language. Thus, the requirement is to have the Title and Academic Title in the other language.
I have maintained the entries in the other language too.
Even if i log in in another language, the Title is taken as (Mr.) or (Ms.)instead of (Herr) or (Frau)
Thus, i want to know, why this is happening and how can i solve this issue. Am i missing something in customization or in maintaining any flag for the language etc.

The language priority in the mail form, during the campaign execution are as given below:
- For Person (B2C Scenario)
Prio 1. the field 'Correspondence lang.' in business partner 'Address' field group 'Detail information'
Prio 2. The field 'Language' in the business partner 'Address' data, field group 'Name'.
Prio 3.Log-on language.
- For Organization (B2B Scenario)
Prio 1. The field 'Language' in the business partner 'Address' data, field group 'Communication'.
Prio 2.Log-on language
- For Contact person for organization (B2B)
Prio 1. The field 'Correspondence lang.' in business partner (contact person) 'Central data' -> 'Detail information'. Same language are displayed on the 'Relationship' screen, field 'Language' on the 'Details' data to the relationship, field group 'Communication'.
Prio 2. The 'Relationship' data for business partners, field 'Language' on the 'Detail' data to the relationship , field group 'Company'. (= communication language of organization)
Prio 3. The field 'Language' in the business partner (contact person) 'Address' data, field group 'Name'.
Prio 4.Log-on language.
Please check whether you have maintained languages correspondingly

Salutation in mail forms.

Dear CRM gurus.
We are facing the following issue. When we want to create a mail form and when we want to create text different text elements using different salutation, we cannot use the conditions properly.
We cannot use basic conditions for distinguishing the salutation. Once we want to use salutation from the system field TITLE_LET (Salutation) when the fields is not empty even the field TITLE_MEDI (Title) is filled. Than we want to enter text element with salutation Mr. Mrs etc. when the field TITLE_LET (Salutation) is empty. But how we can tell the CRM that it should consider or not consider u201CEMPTYu201D field? And how to tell system that when the fields TITLE_LET (Salutation) and TITLE_MEDI (Title) are empty use the third possibility u2013 text elements with common salutation as u201CDear allu201D. Is it possible to use different way how to do this?
And what more, when we use field TITLE_LET (Salutation) in the text element it happens that the system enter data from field TITLE_MEDI (Title) instead.

Hi Petr,
I've created a custom function module that creates the salutation depending on the language and country. I.e. in Germany only the academic title Dr. or Prof. are part of the salutation. In Austria every academic title i.e. "Ing." must be added. This function module is called using the BAdI CRM_IM_ADD_DATA_BADI.

How do i change the path of data ajax false from returning to homepage, when using a PHP mail form in jquery mobile?

I have a put a php mail form in the quote page of my mobile site. However when i send the form it returns to the route page rather than the quote page, i have used the data ajax false action as i dont want to send via ajax. i have left the thanks page blank as i want it to remain on the same page showing sent or declined message. Can someone help please?

Mail-form from dB Masters + reCaptcha - Things wont work the way i want.

I used a mail-form from dB Masters because someone here gave me the tip.
And its great! But it uses a simplefied Captcha script.

I know in the mail form i can disable the "sort of Captcha". I wanted to disable it and insert reCaptcha instead.
I will re-make the form because like you said (and i already figured it out myself) ;
"b) Don't modify forms until you get a very basic form working on your server."

Im a hobbyist that learns really really fast.
Before March 23 i never used CSS, Javascript and XHTML. And never combined them all together with PHP. (never ever created a php based file from scratch)
The reason why i use other persons code is because i learn faster with examples, and because i dont need to reinvent the wheel if someone already invented it. The only thing i do with it is learn the workings, customise it and at last, rewrite the code when i understand it.

I think it was Nancy O. that gave me the link to the validator. Thats how i discovered the service.
You need to know that in 1 day (from 63 errors and 12 warnings) i removed all errors. And i didnt knew much about it, and why errors happend while the site looks fine.
So im just curious how things work and thats why i "steal" codes and adjust them to learn myself.
I also want a education like you spoke of, but im interested in a different media.
I want to be abled to create my dream project wich involves new ways for game studios to earn money.

How to add Attribute Category in Mail Form - WEB UI CRM 7.0

Dear Friends,
My requirement is to add custom fields to the mail form - attribute page so that IC agent can select these attributes when they create the mail forms. These customer fields are related to Service ticket like Account details, service ticket ID , IBASE details etc.
I read on SAP HELP and got to know that I need to implement BADI CRM_IM_ADD_DATA_BADI to maintain additional attribute but for this, first i need to maintain attribute context ( IMG path is under personalized mails under campaign management in CRM Marketing ). so i created the attribute context.
But i can't see anything related to my attribute context on mail form when i select attribute button, i get nothing in additional fields to insert. Also the BADI does not get triggered.
Can anyone please guide me on this as how to get the custom attributes on mail forms ?
Our requirement is not specific to CRM marketing but generic to give IC agents some Service ticket specific attributes to add in the mail forms.
Please advice as i am struggling a lot on this and i never worked in CRM marketing.

Sorry for the delayed reply as notifications were kept off.
I solved it by implementing the BADI, and the same method as you guessed. I also had to maintain the custom attribute contexts with the fields i would like. This custom attribute context will be the filter for the badi and basically you will populate the attribute values in the badi method.
Mail-form help on help.sap.com as well as the BADI and IMG documentations on SPRO are more than enough to get the job done.
I wont be able to share the code as it was complete custom development in relation to auto-escalation emails in SLA and Escalations scenario and the project was completed long back.

I have added the structure CRM_MKTPL_CAMPAIGN_TASK to my scenario in customizing. But when I try to test my new mail form, then there is no data in the field Planned_start from my campaign element, PLANSTART_IO.

Creating Mail form is multi stage. Have you created any survey.
I believe its for CRM 7.0. Broad steps are
1.Enter the CRM WebClient UI
2.SAP CRM WebClient menu Marketing >> Create: Mail Form
Mail Form for E-Mail
1.On the Mail Form: New screen enter the following values:
Field name     User action and values
ID     Y_TRADE_SHOW_INVITATION
Description     Trade Show Invitation
Language     Original:English
Usage     Internet Mail (HTML)
Attribute Context     ERMS
Subject     Trade Show Invitation
2.In the Text Element screen area you can freely define the content of your e-mail in the text element.
3.Choose New Text Element, enter the following data for the e-mail form text block and choose Create:
Field name     User action and values
Text Element ID FORM_LETTER
Description Invitation
Format HTML
4.Enter a text for the new text element FORM_LETTER and design it according to your needs.
If you want to upload a pre-defined text from an external source, choose Load Local File.
5.In order to insert the generated survey URL into the text, choose Hyperlink.
6.In the Insert Hyperlink web page dialog enter the following values and choose Insert:

Hi, as plain text editor is a poor formatting editor, we want to use HTML code not only for email marketing output, but also for printing. (if not, how can we use tables, checkboxes, etc. in plain text format?)
How can we use HTML to print marketing mail forms? (if we send html code to printer, no "rendering" is done and html tags are also printed).

Meanwhile, I was able to narrow the problem down: PHP seems not to accept a re-directed mail address as sender of the mail in some cases. So, it has nothing to do with the mail form itself.

How to print multiple mail forms in a single run?

How can multiple, personalized letters be printed out from SAP CRM 7.0?
Business requirement:
When for example entrance tickets for a trade fair are sent to a group
of customers, the accompanying letters are to be printed out of the CRM
system.
In SAP CRM 5.0 this was done by creating a marketing campaign, linking
a target group & assigning a mail form to it.
By selecting the communication medium "Printer" it was possible to
print multiple letters in one run and send these documents by mail (not e-mail).
The quantities of letters that have to be sent are too small to
outsource the job to an external service provider (e.g. a printing house).
In the latest version of SAP CRM the communication medium "Printer" is
however no longer available in marketing campaigns.
Does anyone know how this requirement can be met in SAP CRM 7.0?

We considered working this way, but the idea was dropped because the quantities of letters that have to be sent are too large (several hundreds) & also because no follow-up of these activities is needed.

Creation of Mail Forms -- From HTML page

I have a basic question wrt the creation of MAIL FORMS in SAP CRM.
Our client creates Email communication content in HTML format. And the requirement is to use these HTML files for creation of Mail Forms (on a very frequent basis)
While creating Mail Forms there is an Option to UPLOAD HTML file. Can we upload HTML files to create the MAIL FORMS
We tried doing the same but the files after upload got distorted and the result was not as desired. Should the HTML file exist in a defined format before upload in SAP CRM mail form?

Use HTML codes in notepad. Use the notepad to upload the file and create mail form. You should follow W3C standard. Refer note 1131645.

How to change/set the browser title from web forms (XP platform with SP2)

I am running Form9i, I have set the browser windows title from Web Forms dynamically by using following method. However, when my PC has changed to XP, the function seems not work. Does anybody have same problem and how to solve it? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Dynamic graphic in Mail forms

Hi All,
I have a mail form which has been created in transaction CRMD_EMAIL. I have been asked to enhance it with a dynamic graphic image.
There will be uploaded 1 image pr customer in transaction SE78.
And for each document I must find the corresponding image.
In normal smartform I can choose between 'Fixed value' and 'Dynamic field value' for graphichs name. And I can see that it works when I create a global variabel eg. 'TESTNAME' and assign it the value '123456'. if I then enter &TESTNAME& as dynamic graphic name, and test print it works fine and prints graphical image 123456.
But in with the mail forms in CRMD_EMAIL, this is not available. If I enter a variable the field disaperes and in test mode i get the error 'Graphic cannot be displayed' - This is identical to the error I get in smartforms if I enter a name that does not exist.
Does anybody knows if this is possible to do in mail forms. Or if I can use the smartforms instead of the Mail forms when working with campaigns.

The document was ment to include a technical drawing regarding the specific installation for the customer/prospect.
It looks like we are going to include this drawing in a different document, which should be created in smartform.
