Access conditional formatting pdf has no color

I've built conditional formatting (using colors) in an Access (2003) database report. When I convert the report to pdf using the pdf maker icons (version 7), the conditional formatted boxes that are usually colored, are dark.
What to do to make the colros show.

Did you receive any answer? I got the same problem.

  • How do i use conditional formatting to edit the color of other selected other cells?

    I have been playing around with the conditional formatting feature of Numbers, I have figured out how to change font and background color of the cell i am working with.
    However what i am looking to do is apply a background color formatting to another cell (i.e. F2) if conditions are met in (B2).
    the end game is this,
    I want to make a column of check boxes, and using contional formating i want adject cells to change color (I.e. the example above: if (B2) is a check box, then when unchecked the reffered Cell (F2) does nothing, but when check the color of (F2) changes)
    I can make this happen with Logic equations, the give (i.e. F2) some letter or number value, then using conditional formats i can have the color change. but this leaves that particular cell useless to me (i.e. F2) I am not free to enter or edit text in that cell. (i.e. =IF(B2=TRUE,"Paid","Due") ----> then add a conditional statement that chages color when the value is either "Paid" or "Due")
    How do i have F2 change color, when B2 is checked and still retain the ability to enter information (or potential have another formula) in F2? (The Cell is not used up by "Paid" or  "Due" it is editable just like any other cell)
    is there anyway to change cell characteristics like font, color, and background color inside a formula, because in that way i would be able build it manually
    i tried using the formula editor inside the conditional format pane, but the only infor it will allow me to retain is one partictular cell. i cannot add modifiers like "+" or "=" or anything else. what is that space used for then?
    thanks for anyones help

    MC,
    You can do what you want in Numbers. It requires an auxiliary column and it's a bit tedious to set up because conditional formatting by comparison to another cell isn't relative, so each cell has to be programmed individually with no option to Paste or Fill to other cells in a range.
    For explanation purposes, let's say your checkbox is A2, your cell to be conditionally formatted is B2, and your auxiliary cell is  C2. To have the format of B2 determined by the checkbox status in A2, you will:
    1. In C2 write: =IF(A, B, " ") The " " is any string or value that you don't expect to encounter in B normally, and using the space character means you don't have to worry about having it visible if C is in View.
    2. In B2 use Conditional Format: "Equal To" cell C2 and set your text and fill attributes to be used when the box in A is checked.
    That's it. Do that for every cell in the range.

  • Conditionally format PDF output

    Hi
    In my report, I use this technique to highlight in red some rows:
          case when a.completed_date is null then
              '<div style="color:red">'||a.action_description||'</div>'
          else a.action_description end action_description,However, the div part is ignored when the report is exported to PDF (using Apache FOP) and all rows display in black.
    To fix it, I created a new report template and added a conditional display to it:
    <xsl:if test="contains(.//#COLUMN_HEADER_NAME#, 'color:red')">
    <fo:inline xsl:use-attribute-sets="highlight">
    <xsl:value-of select="#COLUMN_HEADER_NAME#"/>
    </fo:inline>
    </xsl:if>
    I.e., if the column contents contains "color:red" it should print using the highlight attribute set. However it does not work. If I remove the div (so the color:red part actually displays in the report) it works.
    So I guess that all html tagging is removed before passing the data to the PDF generation -- is this correct? Any advice on how to implement this in that case?
    Thanks,
    Luis

    Marc,
    Thanks for the response. There is another column in the report ("Status") on which I can base my logic to conditionally display one or another block, but this layout, obviously, will be specific to that report.
    I was just wondering if it could be done it in a more generic way... apparently not!
    Cheers,
    Luis

  • When saving a file in photoshop cc , using "save as" the pdf has clipping (color is not showing) in parts of the document.

    When we save a file to a pdf from photoshop cc the pdf will show some clipping of color , as if the color disappeared on the pdf. what steps are needed so this doesn't occur?

    Thank you for responding. Below is some info.
    Please see the clipping on the "d" in Pastel Bond and White Bond and the rounded part of the "R" in 2 &3 Part NCR. We have had this happen on occasion with other files as well. Thanks for the help.

  • Excel 2013 Conditional Formatting problem

    Hello!
    A customer of mine has recently transitioned from Office 2007 to Office 365. This has been a major hurdle for them, and they're still experiencing some issues with things not behaving the way they used to. I'm not an Excel expert, so I have no idea if the
    following issue is some sort of bug or compatibility issue, or if the user is just expecting behavior that isn't going to occur in this version of Excel.
    She has a spreadsheet that she uses to schedule people. She uses conditional formatting to change the color of numbers based on their size. For example, everything less than 2 is red, everything between 2 and 4 is green, etc.
    So, let's say she has two rows that have been formatted already. Then she adds a third row, inputs the data, then highlights the entire row and tries to format it. Once she adds her rules and clicks "Ok", that row is formatted...but rows 1 and
    2 have now been cleared of all formatting. So basically, she can't format things on the go, as she puts them in, she has to format everything at the same time, every time.
    It doesn't happen to every row that has already been formatted. If she has 20 rows that are formatted, sometimes only 2 of them will lose their formatting after she applies her rules to a new row. It's usually the rows that are right next to the new row.
    I have very little experience with Excel conditional formatting, so I don't know what would cause this, or if there's a fix or workaround. Also, I'm not sure if I'm explaining it clearly. Any help or suggestions would be welcome!

    Hi,
    According to your description, this issue seems occur with the special spreadsheet. In my view, it might be more related to the file itself, such as incorrect range with conditional formatting rule, double rule with same cell range or other.
    would you like to send the sample file to me ([email protected])  if possible? I want to test it.

    George Zhao

  • Conditional Formatting for Charts in Drill down - Disappears

    Hi All,
    I have a "Vertical Bar Chart" that is plotted against Time on Y-axis and Unit on the X-axis; it has drill feature selected.
    The chart also has conditional format specified and the color of the Vertical bar will change on a condition. Eg: The bar will show Red color if the Average Time taken is more than 60 minutes for an Appliance Unit. All this works fine.
    Problem
    As the chart has Drill feature enabled I can drill down on the chart say from Year - > Month -> Day. The issue is the conditional formatting disappears when you drill down the chart.
    It looks strange as the main chart shows Red color for a Unit and when you drill down I don't see the conditional format applied any more.
    Did anyone had similar problem, is there any work around here.
    Appreciate your help.
    Regards
    B

    Hi,
    Create a dummy column and in fx write this,
    Case when Table."Average Time" >60 then 0 else 1 end
    Add this also in th part of chart axis,
    Go to conditional formatting set the formatting on the dummy column when 0 set to Red color.
    Now you will have the conditional formatting even if you drill down.
    Thanks,
    Vino

  • SSRS 2012 Conditional Formatting Color Issues When Exporting to Excel

    Hi all,
    We recently upgraded to SQL 2012 from SQL2008 R2. I'm having a strange issue with SSRS2012.
    One of the report has conditional formattings on cell background colors. Everything works fine when render the report in browser or preview mode. However, the conditional formatting stop working when export the report to Excel (no issues if
    export to pdf). All cells are high-lightened with pre-defined color although it should only high-lighten those cells that fulfil the condition.
    Has someone encountered this issue before ? Thanks for any help.

    Hi ZZ02,
    I have test the scenario in my testing environment, however, everything goes well when exporting to Excel format. The issue might be related to the expression for the conditional background color. To make further analysis, please post the expression as well
    as the report design structure.
    Additionally, in SQL Server 2012 Reporting Services, the Excel rendering extension renders a report to the native format of Microsoft Excel 2007-2010, the format of which is ExcelOpenXML. By default, the previous version of the Excel rendering extension,
    compatible with Microsoft Excel 2003, is disabled. At this time, I suggest that you enable the Excel 2003 rendering extension by modifying the RSReportServer.config file. After that, the Excel 2003 rendering format will be available on report manager (not
    available in Report Designer). So, please export the report from report manager and check the result again.
    For more information about enable the Excel 2003 rendering extension, please see:

  • How do I copy a document from pages into email (not pdf) and have color and format the same as the document created in pages?

    How do I copy an entire document from pages into email (not pdf) and have color and format the same as the document created in pages?

    Pages ’09 v4.3 and Pages v5.2.2 are entirely different document architectures. Consequently, copying and pasting a table from Pages ’09 circumvents the customary translation process  that would occur if you opened that Pages ’09 document in Pages v5.
    Make a backup copy of the Pages ’09 document that has the table in it, and then open this document in Pages v5.2.2. The table is translated into Pages v5 document format and displayed correctly. You can even select this Pages v5.2.2 table, and then copy/paste it into another Pages v5.2.2 document with accurate results.

  • Conditional Formating colors not printed

    I have an OBIEE Report that has conditional formating to display results with background colors based on the values like if actuals is greater than goal then display the number in green and if below the goal then red etc. What I am seeing is that when I display the report (Table view) on dashboard on IE6 browser, it shows all the conditional formatting colors on the dashboard but when I do print preview, the colors are lost. When printed, it prints the report without the colors. I developed the reports in IE8 version and when I view and print from IE8 browser, it prints with colors. I feel it might be a bug or incompatibility with IE6 but am not sure about that. Is there any way to resolve this issue. This report will be viewed on IE6 browser and upgrading the company wide browser is not an option.

  • Different take on conditional formats - parameterizing the color?

    Hi - I'm trying to do conditional formatting, but all the examples & help I've found shows a sample that hardcodes the actual color used. I have a requirement where I need to pass in the color in as part of my XML input.
    The logic used to determine what color to display a number is very complex, and has changed a couple of times already. As such, I'm trying to keep all that logic in a SQL view, rather than reproducing the logic a hundred times over in the XSLT of a handful of reports.
    My datamodel is set up something like this:
    <PROC>
       <APPN>APA</APPN>
       <REQUEST>10,000</REQUEST>
       <SAC>9,500</SAC>
       <SAC_COLOR>red</SAC>
       <HAC>10,000</HAC>
       <HAC_COLOR>black</HAC_COLOR>
    </PROC>
    <PROC>
       <APPN>MSLS</APPN>
       <REQUEST>12,000</REQUEST>
       <SAC>12,500</SAC>
       <SAC_COLOR>green</SAC>
       <HAC>10,000</HAC>
       <HAC_COLOR>black</HAC_COLOR>
    </PROC>
    . . . This bit of XML would generate two rows in a report, with the first row having the "SAC" value colored red, the second row having "SAC" as green.
    So I've tried using something like:
       <?for-each:PROC?>
          <?APPN?>
          <?attribute@incontext:color;SAC_COLOR?><?SAC?>
          <?attribute@incontext:color;HAC_COLOR?><?HAC?>
       <?end for-each?>But that throws errors when it tries to parse it. I've tried a number of different formats of this, as well as the lower-level format:
       <?for-each:PROC?>
             <?APPN?>
             <xsl:attribute name="color"><?SAC_COLOR?></xsl:attribute><?SAC?>
             <xsl:attribute name="color"><?HAC_COLOR?></xsl:attribute><?HAC?>
       <?end for-each?>but haven't had any luck finding something that works.
    I know I could put in a set of if statements or a choose block, but again, that'd mean reproducing the same logic many many times over.... maintenance nightmare.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks in advance,
    -- Andy

    Got closer to an answer, I think. Tried using an XSL variable, and rewrote the logic as below. I used the xsl:attribute because it allowed me to specify the color as the content of an XML tag, rather than an attribute..
    <?for-each:PROC?>
       <?xdoxslt:set_variable($_XDOCTX, ‘colSac’, SAC_COLOR)?>
       <?APPN?>
       <xsl:attribute name=”color”><?xdoxslt:get_variable($_XDOCTX, ‘colSac’)?></xsl:attribute><?SAC?>
    <?end for-each?>and this almost works - I get the correct value from my data substituted in for the get_variable, but the xsl:attribute open/close is rendered as text. So my output for the SAC field ends up reading:
    <xsl:attribute name=”color”>red</xsl:attribute>9,500So I guess I'm using the xsl:attribute tag incorrectly? I've googled that, have found a few examples that show the same sort of notation... am I missing something obvious here?

  • Is it possible to apply conditional formatting to a cell (or range) based upon a LOOKUP query to cell values in another sheet.? I want to alter the formatting (i.e., text and/or cell background color), but not cell content.

    Is it possible to apply conditional formatting to a cell (or range) based upon a LOOKUP query to cell values in another sheet.?
    I want to alter the formatting (i.e., text and/or cell background color), but not the content, of the target cell(s).

    Hi Tom,
    Your LOOKUP formula will return a value that it finds in the "other" table. That value can be used in conditional highlighting rules. (Numbers 3 calls it conditional highlighting, not conditional formatting. Just to keep us awake, I guess, but it works the same).
    Please explain what you are trying to do.

    Ian.

  • Conditional Formatting - change color for matching cell

    I have two sheets, Sheet1 and Sheet2.
    Sheet1 contains the following data:
    abc
    def
    ghi
    jkl
    mno
    pqr
    stu
    vwx
    yz
    Sheet2 contains the following:
    abc
    ghi
    jkl
    mno
    pqr
    yz
    I want to apply conditional formatting in Sheet1 for matches in Sheet2, so that for each match, the cell's fill color is changed to, say green.
    I select the entire range in Sheet1 and as a New Formatting Rule, choose Cell Value equal to = Sheet2!$A$2:$A$6
    However, this throws the following error:
    "This type of reference cannot be used in a Conditional Formatting formula.
    Change the reference to a single cell, or use the reference with a worksheet function, such as =SUM(A1:E5)"
    Any help here is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

    Use the formula:
    =ISNUMBER(MATCH(A1,Sheet2!$A$1:$A$6,0))

  • HT4648 So if you import a numbers document from a mac to iPad which has a conditional format rule such as a cell with a score between 1-10 fills with the colour black will still work on the iPad? Not being able to edit it just means you can't change this

    I want to use numbers on my iPad mini for a team I coach. I have a spreadsheet on my mac I want to import onto the iPad mini for players to enter in wellness ratings. On this spreadsheet (on the mac) I have a conditioning formatting rule that when a player enters in their numbers the cells fill with black so others can't see their entries (to maintain privacy). Will this function import across onto iPad numbers? From the discussion I saw on this site it only partly answers my question stating "it cannot be edited" does this mean the conditional formatting rule cannot be changed and therefore will still work or the whole spreadsheet can't be edited and you can only view the spreadsheet and make no new entries to it?

    Yes, I have posted this thread to different forums after I realized that Lenovo "customer care" is not likely to help me out and even wirelessforums.org members couldn't come up with any ideas for days, that's why. I have already written that helper applications like SMAC (or etherchange or macshift) don't work, because they do the same thing in the system as I change it in the driver panel, so they use the same method which simply does not work.
    Locked? Definitely not. If yes, why can I change the MAC of my adapter under Ubuntu Linux using b43 open-source driver if it's really locked? Or you mean it's locked from software, because Lenovo or Broadcom didn't want their users to change their MACs or they just forgot to release a fully-functional driver? Well, then I would like to have a driver in which it's not locked, because this is a basic feature of my adapter of which the hardware is capable.
    I have already contacted Broadcom, see their (automatically-generated) answer in my initial post, but I will try to do that again with more foresight.

  • IDisk and conditional formatting

    I've been using conditional formatting to add color to cells for specific events. It's great and allows me to assess data at a glance. Recently, I decided it would be nice to have this data available to me on my iPhone, through iDisk. However, when I copy the file over, open it up on the iPhone, no conditional formatting is apparent.
    Is this just a no-go?
    I realize I can do 1 of two things to fix it: 1) apply the color manually (not a valid choice, really) or 2) save it as a PDF, which retains the color.
    Why I would like to keep it in Numbers is because I really like the tabs for different pages at the top on the iPhone screen. Loading the file as a PDF it seems rather laggy, since it loads all the pages on the same screen.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,
    you may use guided navigation to drill to a custom request.
    In the request which has the time level prior to day in time hierarchy, click on 'add navigation' button and select the request which has the day level.
    Build a request with day and sales columns. Edit the formula for sales measure and put for example: case when day = 'monday' then null else sales end.
