Access/Privilege required for UPDATE/RELEASE actions
Hi,
I am a new user of BPEL 101.3.1. I have configured the identity service to CUSTOM and have given the following roles to the user created
Roles :-
1. BPMSystemAdmin
2. BPMWorkflowAdmin
3. BPMDefaultDomainAdmin
4. BPMWorkflowReassign
5. BPMWorkflowSuspend
6. BPMWorkflowViewHistory
The Acquiring/Reassignment of the task is happening successfully but then as an when i am trying to Update the Task or Release the Task then i am getting the following error.

I am getting the same error for Updating as well as Releasing the Task.
Can any 1 tell me that whether i am missing on some role???

hmmmmmmmmmmm. one other thing that might be worth a try if all else fails. i have once seen something like this turn out to be caused by a really kinky version of this issue:
iTunes: "privileges" or "permissions" issue when importing audio CD or adding music to library
... where the permissions were odd on the ipod itself ... but i've only seen that happen once. it's probably worth checking on only if nothing else seems to be working for you.

What are the minimum privileges required for the source data server user in order to to successfully implement CDC
Currently I'm getting an "Insufficient privileges" error when trying to start a CDC journal on a model. The error is happening on the step that creates a trigger on the table in the source schema.
Here's the situation:
The data server uses the user "ODI_TEMP" for its connection. ODI_TEMP has been granted select privileges on the desired tables in the source schema. When starting the CDC journal on the model for the source schema, ODI tries to create a trigger on the source tables. This fails since the ODI_TEMP user can't create triggers on anything outside of it's own schema. For obvious fundamental security reasons, we cannot give the ODI_TEMP user the CREATE ANY TRIGGER system privilege on the data source.
Journalizing is set up using JKM Oracle Consistent. ODI is 11g, DB is 11g.Hi,
You can go for this
Grant CREATE ANY TRIGGER system privilege to ODI_TMP
Start the Journal , it will create triggers in ODI_TMP schema for the tables present in your source schema.
Now revoke CREATE ANY TRIGGER system privilege from ODI_TMP.
It will continue to work .. only when you are restarting the journal (due to adding or removing some tables in CDC) , you will be requiring CREATE ANY TRIGGER privilege.

I downloaded Mail Update for Mac OS X 10.5.6 and was told it could not be installed because it was from an unidentified developer. Tried installing download from MailUpdate & advised the disk did not meet the requirements for update. Expect it's due to being at 10.9.1. Mail is still teetering between dysfunctional and non-functional. Advice?
I'm not sure what "Mail Update for Mac OS X 10.5.6" is. Mac OS X 10.5.6 is Leopard, a system that is quite old at this point. There have not been any Mail updates for Leopard in quite some time. If you are trying to install some old Mail update for Mac OS X 10.5.6 in Mavericks, that won't work.
If you are trying to install the Mavericks Mail update manually, that's not necessary if you have updated through the App Store. If the App Store shows no updates, you don't need this. (The error message doesn't make sense, and may indicate some other problem with your system, assuming that you were downloading this update from Apple's site.)
I'd advise you to start a new topic in the Mavericks forum and describe the problems you are having with Mail. Be sure to include specifics, but try to avoid speculating on causes, as responses that may be related to an inaccurate assumption on your part can cloud the issue. -
BADI-User exit required for updating Purchase order header field -IHREZ

We have requirement in our business to update the purchase order header field "our reference" EKKO-IHREZ with some text field. We need a BADI/user exit that can be used for updating this field . We have checked the BADI ME_PROCESS_PO_CUST and unfortunately we are not able to use this BADI as it getting triggered in enjoy SAP transactions ME21N , ME22N etc. We are not creating the purchase order manually and we are using ME59N for creating Purchase order . Hence we are looking for some user exit/BADI that can be used in ME59N for updating the purchase order header field IHREZ.

Privileges required for database backup with RMAN
Hello,
We have 10g R2 on Solaris box. We use RMAN for backup and use the SYS account on the database to connect and take the backup.
Are there specific privileges that are required to take the database backup , so that I do not use the SYS account or the syspassword in the RMAN script.
I want to create an account and give only the privileges required to take the database backup and recover .
ThanksI think RMAN needs the SYSDBA privilege, so you won't gain much by switching from SYS to another user.
You don't need to store sys/password in a script. You can just :-

Reporting accuracy, and OS requirements for updates?
Maybe I am not doing "Software Updates" or "Device Collections" right, but I have a collection of computers I'm deploying Software Updates to.
The Software Update package currently only consist of Windows 7 updates.
The collection I'm deploying to, however, has a few Windows 8 computers in it.
Because of this, the Windows 8 computers skew the "Compliance" reports for this software update package, indicating the computers are in a "Compliance unknown state".
Is there a way I can configure Software Requirements for Software Updates (like Win 7 x64 only);
or what's the solution here for accurate reports?
make a different collection for Windows 8 computers? Add Windows 8 updates to the package?If the Windows 8 PC are listed as unknown then there is a GPO or local policy blocking them from scanning for SU. This will have nothing to do with how your collection are setup.
On one of Windows 8 PCs that is affected, review all the GPOs and determine which GPO is overriding CM12.

When does select for update release locks
Hello all,
Does anyone know when Oracle realeases the row locks when a
select for update is issued?
Does Oracle realase the row lock at the time when an actual update statement is
issued for the locked row, or does it wait until a commit statment is executed?
So for example, can I lock several rows with a select for update clause, and then
issue update statements as many times as I want on each locked row without
having to worry about the lock being released until I issue a commit statement.

The lock is released only when your transaction ends. A transaction can end because of:
1). Commit.
2). Rollback.
3). client disconnects.
etc. etc... -
Access sequence requirement for output control
Hi!
I would like to get some inputs on how access requirement for output control works. I created a new requirement for a condition table that has key combination billing type/sales org/country because I need to restrict the output for a paticular customer in one country. I think the requirement works fine such that it is not fulfilled for the customer that I want ot restrict, thus no output is created. However, I noticed that other customers in that sales org/country are affected by the requirement. The output is created (sy-subrc=0) but it is not processed (remains in yellow status). The output should be emailed immediately upon creation (medium 5/timing 4). For other sales org/countries the creation of output and sending of email work as expected.
I hope someone have valuable inputs regarding this.

CholenThere is Output determination log available in the output screen (see the menu). It tells everything about how the output was proposed.
If the requirement is not fulfilled, you won't see output created with any color - yellow, red or purple with sparkles. If output has been proposed and has a yellow light it means it has not been processed yet. Output is processed only after the document has been saved, so while creating the document, you'll never see any other color. If after saving the document output is still yellow, it must have a different timing than 'process immediately' and it will be processed according to that setting.
This is a very simple concept, well documented and discussed gazillion of times on SCN. Requirements and conditions are two different things with different purposes. You might want to read a bit more on the output determination.

TS1814 ITunes can't access the internet for updates or restores?
I'm trying to restore my iPod but my iTunes isn't accessing the internet for it. When I tired to update it it was still unable to access the internet, it can still access the internet for previously purchased songs and for the iTunes store. I'm using Windows 8. I already tried Apple's support, but I can't find an answer, anyone know a fix?
I've already done everything that is on the generic support pagesI had the same problem and this is what I did. On a side note and just a disclaimer as this may not be your issue, but helped with mine. Several months ago, I noticed that my XBOX 360 was not connecting to the live service. I disregarded it at that time because I did not use the Xbox live service much. However, several days ago, I switched security on my wireless router (Belkin N1) and found that my Apple TV could not connect to the internet, but would connect to my local network via wireless. My iMac also would connect, but no internet. I reset my router to factory defaults and found that the Apple TV was pulling a 169.XXX IP address. I had DHCP enabled on the router and I suspect this may be part of the issue, but I manually assigned an IP address to the Apple TV of 192.XXX. I also assigned a manual IP address to my iMac. Now both connect successfully, but is odd how I had DHCP working on both ATV and iMac before and were working. I've tried the Apple TV via wireless and wired and had the same problem before assigning a manual IP address. I assigned a manual address to the XBOX and it now works. The XBOX was also pulling a 169 IP address.
Like I said before, this may be an issue with my router giving out or may be an issue with Mac products but I am not completely sure. I just know that manually assigning the IP address made both systems access the internet now.

I need to update my preinstalled iPhoto in my MacBook Pro, how ever i was not issued with the password needed for updating.
AppStore software and the free iLife included on new Mac's is copy protected and can only be updated or reinstalled (free) by the original owner.
If you bought the machine used or a "open box", the original owner should have wiped the Macintosh HD partition and just reinstalled OS X, but many don't do that or what occurs is the store reinstalls OS X free and then free iLife using their AppleID.
So when it comes time to update it, you can't because you have a different AppleID and password.
It's terrible hassle with all this mega-copy protection shenanigans because it allows someone to sell you a used Mac with tons of software for more money you later can't update for security issues and compatibly with newer OS X versions.
So you can either to choose to use it as is, or wipe and reinstall OS X and then buy a copy of the software, then it will be in your name. -

What are the privileges required for explain plan in Oracle 11g database
I am facing the problem in doing a explain plan for a view in Oracle 11g database. When I select from the view like this:
select * from zonewisearpu
It does a select on the view but when I give explain plan like
explain plan for
select * from zonewisearpu
I get the error like insufficient privileges.
Please let me know if things are getting missed out as I guess system level privileges are required to execute this.
I hope, my question is clear.

Privileges require for a user to create CONTEXT indexes

What are the necessary privileges that have to be granted to a user to be able to create CONTEXT Indexes, for example. I have granted the CTXAPP to my user, but when i tryied to create the CONTEXT Index with the command bellow, i got an "insufficient privilege" error message.

Change in technical skills required for APPS Release 12 ?
Hi all,
My doubt/concern is: In APPS 11i, to become a technical developer, a person must have Oracle D2K + Pl/Sql skills as your basic skills for development/implementation. But I heard that starting from Release 12 onwards, there will not be any Oracle Forms/Reports involved. Instead , we need to develop Oracle APPS using Java only (Jdeveloper) from Release 12 onwards.
Is this true ? If yes, then are exisitng/new APPS Developers required to learn/migrate to Java Technology ? Kindly please advice as I do not have any experience/knowledge in Java and i am preparing to start my career in Oracle APPS.

I have 3 yrs of experience in Pl/Sql,Forms,Reports + some experience as Oracle DBA (9i Developer OCP + 9i DBA OCP). I have 2 options now, either become an:
1) Oracle DBA/Oralce APPS DBA or
2) Oracle APPS Technical Developer
For Option 1, I need to do some more certifications/gain DBA work experience I am confident that I can become an Oracle DBA or Oralce APPS DBA very soon.
For Option 2, I need to do learn Oracle APPS 11i basics first and then get a junior level APPS Technical Programmer Job somewhere. So It will take 2 more years for me to get comfortable with Oracle APPS 11i. But by that time, APPS Release 12 and Fusion will get released and all my current skillsets will not be enough to cope up with that. So I need to learn/switch to Web Services,BPEL,Java/J2EE,XML/CSS/XSL/JavaScript/ADF at that time. Please note that I dont have any knowledge in these technologies too and so I need to start from the basics only.
So taking my current skillsets into account, kindly please help me in chossing any one of the above 2 options, which will best suit me. Thanks in advance for any help that you would offer to me.
