AccessControlException while an applet is executing

Hi to all:
I am developing an applet and I show it in the main JSP page of a service place in Tomcat (Linux).
The applet needs to access to some data in a smartcard and I use another class for this purpose. This class uses javaxsmartcardio and JNA.jar
In the first access from the applet to this class, the JVM shows this error:

Why occurs this error?
I think about the permissions to access to low level (hardware) functions, but the exception is thrown in the line when a method of the class that implemented the access to the smartcard is first called.
I think about the permissions to the .class file, but all the involved files have 777.
Maybe, this message should be in "Java for devices, Card and TV", but I think that the error is in the applet or in something related with the browsers.

Javascript error while invoking applet method

Hi All,
        I am using some javascript to handle the applet in an irpt file. When I invoke the method getRowCount() on an applet(document.appletname.getRowCount()) I am getting the below error. But this error comes only when my network bandwidth is low. When my network bandwidht is high I am not getting this error. Does anyone know how to handle this error .

Problem while loading applet in opera- very urgent please

hi,
I am having problem while loading applet in opera browser. Showing "Applet loading " continuously. I am trying to use URLConnection to read information from applet's own host. I cant find the exact problem what is happening, Since there is no error message in browser Javaconsole.
If anybody have idea on this please help me. I am in great hurry.

I inserted a lot of System.out statements throughout applet life cycle. But they are not displaying in java console. I think the problem is in Opera-java settings. Since i am new to the opera environment i cant get right solution.

AccessControlException in debugging Applet

I tried to debug famous clock2 Applet in
JDeveloper3/JDK 1.2.2.
Whenever executing the statement
"timer = new Thread(this);" exception
AccessControlException:acces denied (java.runtimePermission modifyThreadGroup)
will be raised in appletviewer.
This happens also to other applets trying to
run themselve as a thread.
running the applet from Jdev works fine as
does running directly in browser or appletviewer.
Any ideas?

with other WEBsites, oh well, thanks for your quick

You can connect to any website you want from an application. But better to restrict an applet I think.

Problem while assigning Servlet to Execute queue

We implement a IMS S-CSCF on BEA container 2.2.
A call for us may be several times reentrant. Meaning that for one call we have to handle at least three different dialogs but in major use cases, it will be 6 or 7 for our next deployment.
We are currently facing to bottlenecks problems and BEA support advised me to try to check if assigning servelt to execute queue could improve the preformances.
I just wanted to make a try with one of our servlet but I have an exception java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: org/jaxen/JaxenException.

First question: did I miss something or did something wrong in the configuration?

At teh end I found the basic :-) problem on my exception but anyway , the used execute queue for REGISTER is always sip.transport.default

Error while calling applet from Javascript via LiveConnect and WebDriver

Hi all,
I am trying to call applet Java code from Javascript via WebDriver.
Given the following two cases:
- calling a static method: Integer.parseInt("42")- constructing a new object: new String("Hello world")My Javascript code looks like this:
document.appletId.Packages.java.lang.Integer.parseInt("42");
new document.appletId.Packages.java.lang.String("Hello world");When executing this code in Firefox via the Firebug Javascript console everything works fine and I get the expected results. However, when executing this code via the JavascriptExecutor from WebDriver only the call to the static method succeeds, the construction of the new object leads to the following error: "Attempt to call a default method on object with no invokeDefault method."
I don't have any idea what is going wrong here, so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,
if u put ur com.app.AppletTest file @ WEB-INF Directry, then this problem will solve easily.
you have to put applet package(com.app.AppletTest) @ WEB-INF Directry. Since
Applet is using by html, u have to keep applet with html file.
if applet class have interaction with other classes, u have to seperate all related class to applet to seperate package and put them @ WEB-INF folder.

How to send data to labview code at run time while using with (or executing the sequence)the teststand

I am new to the Teststand.
I am using labview8.0 with teststand 3.1
I have developed some labview codemodules as vi's without using the teststand utility library pallete
Now i have to run them in teststand.
While executing them(as a sequence) in teststand,i need to enter the data to the labview code at run time.For this labview front panel should appear as GUI or popup (while executing).Is it possible to do this without using teststand pallete.
or i need to change the code with teststand pallete(i think it is difficult now to change the code)
Plz provide a solution to this problem
Also one more,how and where to use the 'pass by reference' option

Also, you can, specify to display the front panel of your VI when you specify your VI in your sequence file.
There are examples, for dialog panel using LabVIEW, in the examples folder of TestStand and on the NI Web Site.

Getting AccessControlException when running Applet in AppletViewer

I'm using Java 1.5, and NetBeans 4.1, when I try to run my applet in the AppletViewer in NetBeans I get the error message 'AccessControlException', which comes from me trying to access a text file on the local system to read from. I have checked the applet policy which reads,
grant {
permission java.security.AllPermission;
Which looks fine to me? So I don't understand why I haven't got permission to access files??

Excel file not created while running application using executable on different PC

Hi,
I have created an executable and an installer for an application. In this application I am saving data to an excel file using a template. This works fine when I run using the executable on development PC. However when I deploy this application on another PC, excel application opens the template and writes the data but the file is not saved or created at the desired destination.
The path for file to be saved is coming up right but no file is saved.
Development Machine details:
OS: Windows 7
Office version: 2010 (but I am saving file in 97-2003 format)
LV version: 2012
I had checked 'Unlock' option while building the application but stil faced the same issue

This error means that the VI which is downloaded to the FPGA was changed on the host/development system, but has not been recompiled. By recompiling it you resolve this problem.
When a LabVIEW FPGA VI is compiled for the FPGA, the bit stream, which will be downloaded to the FPGA, is stored in the VI file. When LabVIEW RT or LabVIEW Windows attempts to download the bit stream to the RIO card, it makes sure the bit stream corresponds to the VI source code in the same file. This is necessary so that the host application can properly communicate with the VI on the FPGA. If the two are not the same, this error is generated from the Open FPGA VI Reference function in the host application.
