Account reflection in balance sheet

Hello everyone,
We are implementing SAP Business One 2005 PL05.
We are come across a problem, we have created few more bank accounts and respective chart of accounts. Once the payment transaction is done, the amount is not reflecting in the balance sheet for those additional bank accounts.
Any help will be appreciated.
Thanks
Ravi

Hi Ravi,
You have to update(Refresh)  the Financial Report Template after adding any new G/L accounts. Then only you will get the new G/L's in the Balance Sheet / Trial Balance.
Unless you refresh the Template, Balance sheet wont tally

Please let me know the procedure to do this change, or do i have to run any report.

  • Drawers in Chart of Accounts - are they Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss?

We have a customer who is using a Chinese localisation Company database.
When they created the new database, they found that there are only 6 Drawers in the Chart of Accounts. This is different from other localisations where we have 8 Drawers.
We are trying to find out which Drawers are for the Balance Sheet Report and which Drawers are for the Profit and Loss Report.
In the other localisations, the first 3 Drawers are for the Balance Sheet Report and the Drawers 4 to 8 are for the Profit and Loss Report.
    Please can anyone help us.
    Thank you

    Thanks for the info.
There doesn't seem to be a Revenue or Turnover section. Is the Costs section like Cost of Sales or Overheads?
    What is the P&L section?
Do you have any contacts in SAP China who would be able to help further? I have not been able to get any info from the Local Product Expert listed in the Channel Partner Portal, even though I have sent several emails.
    Thanks

  • Movement type 551 account posting in Balance sheet account

    Hi Team,
I got a requirement for the specifically as below.
->   set the automatic account assignment for the 551/ 552 to be a balance sheet account rather than cost center or profit center..
What changes need to enter into the configuration.
Note - If required, will create separate movement type taking reference of 551, and do the required changes.
    \\ Shankar kumar

When you use movement type 551 or 552, System will always hit the transaction key GBB and BSX.
Account modifier for GBB is defined on the combination of OBYC and OMJJ transaction.
We know we use balance sheet G/L account for transaction event key BSX and PL statement G/L account for GBB - Off settings transaction event key.
Here you can use the Balance sheet G/L account for the transaction event key GBB and account modifier as per your requirement.
I suggest do not use standard movement type. Leave the standard movement type for standard process.
As this is exceptional case, please create a new movement type by coping 551 or 552. Then change the account modifier.

  • Message FH017 Open item management only allowed for balance sheet accounts

    Hi,
While creating a new GL account with P&L type it's giving the above message. If I select the BS type indicator, it's saving without any error.
I observed, account group selection is creating this problem. Since creation of other accounts in other accounts groups doesn't get such problems.
    Any clues??
    Thanks in advance
    Durga.

  • Balance sheet G/L account posting is not captured in the SLR budget report

    My case:
While posting a schedule agreement ( which is account assigned to "project make to  order"), to G/L account, the following warning  message comes.
" G/L account  is a balance sheet account".
Although I am able to post the scheduled agrrement to that G/L account,  but my slr budget report does not capture this commitmnet cost  (commitment management is active for present financial year).
Further for the cost to be captured in the budget report the G/L account should exist as cost element ( as from my observation).
I observed that , that particualr G/L account ( which is a balance sheet account)  is not present as a cost element .
My  CO colleagues  says that it is not advisible to create cost element for a balance  sheet G/L  account as it may lead to mismatch in the  cost  flow.
Now , how can the cost be captured in the  budget report for this G/L posting.
Please suggest  some feasible and correct solution.

    Hi Vishal......
As I think ...here we have to take P & L account ...becouse cost can be booked only in P & L with revenue...for that we can see commitment too..balancesheet account are direct account ....like Bank account ..........
please rewards the points if useful

  • Cost center empty in general ledger view for balance sheet accounts

    Hi !
We are implementing ECC6 with new GL functionalities. We activated differents scenarii: cost center, profit center and segment.
Using FB03 (display document) we noticed that in the entry view, everything is fine: cost center, profit center and segment are filled successfully.
However, in the New GL view, the cost center is not filled for balance sheet accounts.
    Any solution?
    Regards,
    Julien

    HI,
Cost center will never be filled for the Balance Sheet account. For Balance sheet account Profit Center is required to be filled.
Don't be afraid this is the fundamental practice across the globe. Cost centers will be filled in only Expense account.
Exception to above rule is Asset master will recieve cost center because this will help in determining asset per department.

  • Financial statement- Balance sheet accounts

    Hi friends,
In our SAP system there are some interim asset acquisition accounts added to balance sheet which should not have been there. I  removed them by editing the account-> financial statement version.  But still the same accounts are displayed in unassigned accounts section of the balance sheet.
Please suggest me how can I remove them from the financial statement forever.
    Thanks
    Ramana

    Hi Srikant,
Thanks for your response, we can exclude those accounts and save as a variant.  But I am wondering if there is a way by which we can eliminate them from the structure.
    Thanks again, Points assigned.

  • Balance Sheet Adj account

We have an instance where the user trying to clear the Vendor items through transaction F-44, sometimes they are getting error u201CEx rate difference accounts are incomplete for acc XXXXXu201D
We assigned balance sheet adjustment accounts (OB09) and the error rectified.
But here the concern is while simulating system is picking the exchange gain or loss in Balance sheet adjustment account, but the client wants only to pick ex gain account in case of gain and loss in case of loss.
When we try to take out balance sheet adjustment account system is again giving the above error.
Also when we do the testing for current year and new transactions system not taking 530103 accounts though it is assigned and it is taking in respective loss or gain accounts
It is happening only for the old entries for 2006 and 2007 system is picking 530103 Bal adj account
We have explained to the user running of Foreign Currency Valuation (F.05) could be the reason of system picking the 530103 bal.adj account, but as per the user they have not done the F.05.
Please let us know under what circumstances system will pick the Balance Sheet Adj account?
    530103- Balance sheet adj account
    698530 u2013 Gain
    798530 u2013 Loss.

    Hi,
Maintain GL accounts in FBKP and automatic posting and exchange rate difference accounts in that maintain Gl for KDF.

  • Setting up Balance Account for Balance Sheet in Hyperion Planning

We are using version 11.1.2.1.0.83 of Hyperion Planning. What is the best way to setup a balancing account for the balance sheet? Should it be store, or dynamic calc? Should a Member formula be used or should it be done via a calc script? What would the member formula look like?

Hmm, I give you the answer, you mark it as answered but don't give me any points, and now you ask another question? I only do this for the points. <grin>
I am still curious as to whether this can be accomplished by embedding a member formula in the balancing account and, if so, what the embeded formula script might look like. ^^^The formulas I illustrated and you implemented could be put into a dynamically calculated member. So long as the account to be balanced is first (I am thinking calculation order) the dynamic calc should be just fine. I've used that approach in Planning apps in the past.

  • Change GL Account from P&L to Balance Sheet

Our client has created a bank account as a P&L Account and posted transactions to it. This was unearthed only when we were helping them close their books.
Now, we need to convert this account into a balance sheet account before closing the books. Please share the process to do this and advise necessary precautions.
    Thanks

    Hi:
If you assign new account group and to old GL accounts then the number range defined for OBD4 for new account group may conflict with the GLs defined earlier.
To cater your requirement you have two options
Create NEW GL in FS00 for Bank with correct Account group assignment and transfer the Open item from Old GLs to New One using F-04. This is the simple way.
2nd option you have which probably is best suited if there are mass number of GLs involved and their account group is required to be changed. In that case you will have to create new Account group with same number range as created earlier so that existing GL (only if you want to make use of Old GL) could be assigned to them . If you don't do so you will not be able to change account group.
Whatever the option you adopt  after changing account group you will have to remap your new GL in FSE2 you will have to changing Mapping of FS items. This will correctly map Bank GL to current asset area.
Hope this piece of information will help you.

    Hello Rony,
    Good question.
The design of the system is such that RE is updated during the year end closing only. (At the end of the accounting year). During the year RE is not updated but system shows in the FSV the difference between assets & liabilities = to current yearu2019s profit or loss (up to the period).
Donu2019t worry. Just look at any standard FSV available in the system, copy it and edit it as per your requirements.

  • Balance sheet in Detail

    HI SAP GURUS,
I have defined fsv as per accounts. FSV gives detail at gl account level i.e figures for the period for each gl account. My client want to have detail as per the companies act separated as per finance expenses, sales expenses etc for each expense account.
Take example we have maintained single salary gl account. But client want fsv on the basis of the cost center. Here cost center are defined per department. So fsv to be appeared as sales and marketing deprtment as heading and all account of expenses under it which are related to this dept.
In short he want Individual GL account to be bifurcated in FSV on the basis of cost center group. But fsv present consolidated figure for a gl account. I am not able to bifurcate it on cost center basis.
He is not ready to take cost center- cost element wise report for where he can get bifurcation. And fulfill his requirement.
Help me to resolve the issue.
    CHEERS

Create Financial Statement Versions (TCode: OB58)
Assign GL accounts as per balance sheet schedule 6 of companies act.
You can refer annual reprt for the same.
In financial statement version we have to give ranges of GL account. So its better if all GL accounts of similar nature are created together with continous GL account number.
Once financial statement version is created, go to TCOde S_ALR_87012279. Fill the necessary details like FSV you created, etc
Once you filled it, execute and you will get the desired report

  • Tables for balance sheet figures

    friends,
in which table the data in f.01 balance sheet and profit and loss account data is stored,
how to pick this data from tables and which fields are required to write z program for balance sheet and prift and loss account,
    regards,

    Dear,
Balance sheet or profit/loss statement does not store data it derives data from table rather. If you want to go for custom report then use following tables.
    1. If you are using classical G/L then use table GLT0.
    2. If you are using New G/L the use FAGLFLEXT.
