Acrobat 7 pro error message

getting the following error message after installing acrobat 7 pro with the adobe link-"there is a problem with adobe acrobat/reader. If it is running, please exit and try again (0:104)." It is running on windows 7 32-bit OS. Any permanent solutions?

Hi Michael, Thank you so much for the reply. You would think Adobe Support could have told me that so I really appreciate it. Do you know what I need to do to upgrade it ? Can I find an upgrade on E-Bay or do I need to go to COMP USA or some other place to buy the upgrade? Last, what exactly am I looking for to upgrade it to the newest version. (Name of product). I will also remove the other program so it won't have any other issues once I get the upgrade. Thanks again and God Bless, Tony

  • Adobe Acrobat X Pro - Error Message : "Adobe Acrobat Has Stopped Working"

    I use Windows 7 - 64bit / CS6 Master Collection that has Adobe Acrobat x Pro.
When the computer is on for a little while, Acrobat would generate the error message that it has stopped working and then shuts down. Once that error message occurs, I cannot get Acrobat to stay open. It opens the PDF document, stays open for a few seconds then the error message occurs and it shuts down.
What helps for a short term is to restart the computer. This seems to temporarily remove the error until the computer is on for a while then the error returns.
This problem repeats. Product repair feature does not work. This has nothing to do with the license, I tried that fix and it made no differnce. I do not have this issue with other Adobe products included in the master collection.
It seems fruitless and frustrating to send a message to Adobe Support, the run around with pages and links is like smacking walls on every turn, it is obvious Adobe does not want people contacting their support. Service from Adobe for their products is poor.
I hope that someone here has the answer to the problem. Anyone?

    Ok, here is the update.
The link: http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/acrobat-failed-launch-30-days.html , leads to a webpage that says to download a fix ZIP file named: "Acrofix.ZIP". It contains the file "acrofix.exe".
I did use this "exe" file about 2 months ago and it did nothing to fix the issue. I used it again today, because the same issue of "Adobe Acorbat has stopped working", occurred again and again it did not work, the problem of "Adobe Acrobat stopped working" presists. Again the only work around, which is temporary, is to reboot the computer.
So far these do not work:
    Relicensing or Registering the Licence
    Acrofix.exe
Anyone else have an answer? - or am I the only one suffering this really annoying issue?

  • Acrobat 7.0 Pro error message in Vista Ultimate..missing printer driver

I use to have Adobe Acrobat 7.0 Professional installed on my other computer with had XP Pro as its operating system. I could convert any Word 2003 document into a PDF and e-mail it without any problems. I just purchased a new computer with Vista Ultimate 64 bit and every time I try to convert a Word document into a PDF I get an error message that says it can't find the printer driver and to please re-install Acrobat. I did what it said and I keep getting the same error message. I even installed the newest Adobe Reader like it said. I know my printer driver works. Does anyone have a solution? It seems all the money you spend on Adobe products their support staff just wants to wash their hands and send you on some wild goose chase looking for answers on their un-user friendly site instead of answering the question or making any recommendations. If I have to update it so be it. They should have told me that. This is the last time I will fork over $600 on any of their products because their service stinks. I appreciate any help from anyone who has experienced this same problem or who knows how to rectify it. God Bless, Tony

  • Cannot reinstall acrobat x pro; error message 1402

I had acrobat X pro installed, could not update, error message 1402 popped up.  Adobe site suggested uninstalling Acrobat and reinstalling, uninstalled, tried to reinstall but with 57 seoncds left of reinstallation error message 1402 appeared and installation was backed out.  I went from not being able to update to not having the program on my machine at all.  How can I reinstall?

Here is one suggestion: http://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/error-1402-error-1406-acrobat.html. What I suggest it to follow the instructions to uninstall all versions. Then run the cleaner (http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/acrobatcleaner.html) and remove any part left of the Acrobat folder (typically in Program Folders>Adobe). Reboot as the administrator and disable anti-virus. Then try the install.

  • Acrobat X Pro - Error Message

Since updating Acrobat X from 10.0 to 10.1 - I get 'An Internal Error Occurred' message frequently appearing.
As error messages go it's ambigous at best as it says nothing more. Acrobat is not even open or running but the error message seems to fire up frequently expecially if you mouse over or near a PDF. An un-install and re-install has failed to cure the problem.
Very annoying - Percy Lawman - [signature deleted by host]

    Hi Kelly -
    Thanks for the tip.
The app on start up is in 'Certified Mode'
A 'Protected Mode' tab doesn't seem to be present.
For info - the error tab appears to pop-up even when Acrobat is not launched.
    regards

I just purchased the treo pro thru Sprint. I love the phone I just cant seem to figure out the proper settings for my outgoing POP Email acct. Every time I set up the settings properly and attempt to send an email I get an error message "530 5.7.1 Relaying not allowed". I get this message with the outgoing server set to smtp.sprintpcs.com and i receive this error message through an "undeliverable" Email in the same account I am attempting to send from. When I have the account set to my ISP's outgoing server mail.optonline.net it will only send email if I have my device set to WIFI mode..... Any ideas? Thanks.

P.s. I read in another posting where it advises to change the outgoing port # from 25 to 587. This sounds very familiar to me because when I recently set up my blackberry I believe cablevision advised me to do that exact modification. Now here is the million dollar question. How do you change the port #'s on the treo pro?
Try adding it to the server name, e.g.: smtp.provider.com:587

  • Installing Adobe Acrobat Pro - Error 1317 or 1310

Ok, this is a complicated back-story.  Wasting third day trying to setup my old PC for my mom (new one coming tomorrow).
So first I did a clean XP install on one partition.  Then through it installed windows 7 on second partition.
On the Win7 partition, first time I tried to installed Adobe Acrobat Professional I got an error during install.  I think it was 1310.  Then I decided to try to install Office 2003, got same error about 20% through.  Very strange.  I messed with some folder permissions, ran as administrator, even tried creating an administrator account and installing in there, same result.
Then I decided to re-install everything again from scratch.  Formatted the disk, made new partitions, installed XP, installed Win7 Pro.  Tried to install office 2003 first, that worked.
Then tried to install Acrobat 8 Pro again, error 1310.  Then download Acrobat 9 Pro from Adobe to see if a newer version might do the trick.  Similar error 1317, this on about attempting to create a directory in program files\adobe\acrobat9.0\designer8.2\de\templates.
Interestingly, the story doesn't stop there.  After one of these errors happens, I think it causes some sort of file system error.  One time I got a baloon setup_wm (if I remember right) something about file system being corrupt and unstable.  And if I try to open a browser after that things don't work.  If I reboot, it runs chkdsk and everything seems fine after, but no matter what I try I can't get passed that error.
    Any ideas?

I had a failure to install Acrobat Pro 8 on a windows 7 machine with several tries and failing with Error 1310 every time until I did this:
start->type uac in the run box then clik on "Change user account control settings" located at the top of the list
drag the slider all the way to the bottom, this turns UAC off
    restart the computer
install your software and get any updates needed
the turn uac back on and restart
    worked for me

  • Acrobat X, error message "cannot delete pages, pages are in use"

Recently updated to Acrobat X. After saving a pdf, if I try to delete a page or pages, I get an error message "cannot delete pages, pages are in use". I have to close acrobat and reopen my document to continue deleting pages. Is there a fix for this? So far, I think Acrobat 7 was better that X!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What OS are you using?  Ive read that preview pane in windows vista and 7 causes an issue with the delete page feature.  The suggestion was generally to turn the preview feature off.
Heres technet article on turning off the feature:

  • Acrobat Pro XI messages in wrong language

I have uploaded Acrobat Pro XI from a CD at my office, with the serial number my coworkers have used successfully.  I select the installation language as English, and the program when it runs is in English, but all of the alert messages are in Dutch.  I have uninstalled and reinstalled the software multiple times, deselecting Dutch from the languages menu in the Custom install screen, and still all the messages are in Dutch.  It also does not appear to accept the serial number as it thinks I'm in trial use.
    My system details:
    Windows 7 Professional Service Pack 1 64-bit
I thought that the problem could be that I use a non-standard keyboard layout (Dvorak-English), but even after I removed that option and restarted the machine, re-installed the software, I am still getting Dutch messaging telling me I need a serial number.  (Thank goodness for Google Translate, right?)
Any ideas how I can proceed from here?

As I mentioned above, I have a serial number to go with the disk, so I don't know why it thinks I'm in a trial use.
I am using an alternative keyboard layout - but it is English Language - Dvorak, not a different language.  When I removed the alternate keyboard layout and rebooted, then installed the software again, the same Dutch messaging shows up in the Adobe Applications Manager, telling me how many days I have left on my trial.
(When I open Application Manager directly, it doesn't even show that I have Acrobat Pro installed at all.)
I will remove the keyboard again, clean the drive again, and try the installation again.

  • Premiere Pro error message [/Scully64/shared/adobe/MediaCore/Backend/Make/Mac/../../Src/Sequence/Tra

    Hello,
Does anyone have any ideas for a solution to the following Premiere Pro CS 5 error message? Any tips/ideas would be appreciated! Full error message below:
Premiere Pro has encountered an error.
    [/Scully64/shared/adobe/MediaCore/Backend/Make/Mac/../../Src/Sequence/TrackItem.cpp-177]
Error message occurs when editing/cutting out parts of footage to intergrate into a timeline sequence, when this error appears unable to continue using Premiere
Footage contains MP4 and AAC (audio)
using Premiere Pro CS5 v5.0.4, running on Mac OS X 10.9.1 (Marvericks) on Macbook pro (early 2011) with processor speed 2.7GHz (Core i7), 64-bit, 500 SATA, 4GB memory.

    1.  I did use PluralEyes to sync it, its a 3 camera shoot plus separate audio capture.  I am running the latest version of Plural Eyes 3.
    2.  as far as I know I'm up to date on everything, I am running an 3.4 GHz Intel Core i7 iMac with an AMD Radeon HD 6970M 2048 MB graphics card, with 10.9.2
    3.  It was triggered by a specific clip, which oddly enough was a clip that Plural Eyes didn't sync with the audio, I was able to trim the clip in the timeline, then it worked fine.
However, I just started a new project and I am having the same issue.
    4.  Tried the new sequence trick, didn't work
    5.  Tried this as well, no luck
Seems like the only work around was to trim the clip, then I was able to do what I needed and had no other problems on that project, but like I said it has no reappeared on a new project.  For clarity sake it is different footage but shoot on the same camera, just on a different date

  • HDR Pro Error Message & Abort

Wanted to see if someone on here knew the answer or had experience with this issue.
First off I'm running Mac OS X 10.6.6
    PS CS5 Version 12.0.2
    Here's what I did:
It doesn't matter which 3 photos I select, I have tried lots of different sets with the same results. I have tried selecting the 3 photos in both Lightroom & Bridge with the same result.
Everything goes fine, I select the 3 photos, PS HDR Pro does it's thing and it comes up with the dialogue box with the sliders to make adjustments. I do that then press "OK" and get the "creating file" progress bar. As soon as that disappears and PS flashes up the first layer it aborts and gives the following error message:
    Error: General Photoshop error occurred.
This functionality may not be available in
    this version of Photoshop.
    - The object "document xxx" is not currently available.
Not sure what's going on since I've had CS5 since it came out and have used HDR Pro lots of times with no problem.
I've tried sets taken with different cameras (.dng's), tried importing the CR2's right off the camera without converting to .dng, tried converting them to tiffs and use them, and it's the same thing. I opened a case file with Adobe several days ago and haven't heard back. Anyone know what's up with this?

Someone may have, but chances of them discussing it here, in the Tiger Mail & Address Book forum, are slim.
Why not post your question to a more appropriate forum, like Apple.com > Support > Discussions > MacBook Pro?

  • Acrobat 8 error message

I have the Adobe CS3 Professional Suite, and I had it installed on my laptop (Windows Vista Home Premium) for a very long time with no problems. I used Acrobat all the time and never got any error messages. Recently I had to send my laptop to be repaired, and when I got it back, I had to reinstall all my programs. I installed CS3, did the serial and whatnot, played a bit in Photoshop, and then tried to use Acrobat. I got this message:
"Adobe Acrobat 8 Professional cannot be launched at this time. You must  launch at least one other suite component (such as Adobe Photoshop)  before launching Acrobat 8 Professional."
This doesn't make any sense. Not only had I already launched Photoshop, but it was still open when I tried to launch Acrobat. I also tried launching other CS3 programs to solve the problem, with no luck. There is nothing different about the way I installed it, and nothing new on my laptop that would interfere. ALL of the CS3 programs are installed, so I know nothing's missing. Adobe's solutions to the problem were completely unsuccessful. Can someone help, please?

The problem is with LiveCycle Designer ES2 version 9.x. In this version under the File-> Form Properties if you select SetFocus and turn it on it puts the following code into the XML:
    script>
    <?templateDesigner expand 1?></variables> proto/> desc> text name="version">9.0.0.0.20091029.1.612548.606130</text> desc>
    <?templateDesigner expand 1?>
    event activity="postSubmit" ref="$form" name="event__postSubmit"> script contentType="application/x-javascript">//+ GENERATED - DO NOT EDIT (ID:881AD7B1-842A-4CF3-BE05-E05C44ED287E CRC:3815899415) script>
    <
    <
    SetFocusOnFirstFailedField.DoSetFocusOnFirstFailedField(this);
    </
Notice in the above code the postSubmit event. This postSubmit event is not supported in versions of Acrobat/Reader prior to version 9. Even though you have set the file to support version 7 this remains in the code. I resolved this by turning off setFocus in the Form Validation.<
