Acrobat Pro 9 - email query

I've just installed Acrobat Pro 9. If someone could help with an email issue, it could save me a lot of time. I wish to email my PDF(s) via 'attach to email' not 'send for review'. In Acrobat 8 the name of the said PDF appeared in the subject field. Not so with '9'.
As I can send many emails each day, how can I correct? Is there a preference I'm missing somewhere. Having to type the name of the file in the subject field of each email is an operation I can certainly do without.
Help greatly appreciated
Thanks in advance.
Tom

Comments > Attach for Email Review. When I use that wizard, I'm not seeing the need to type the fllename. The Subject appears as "Please join the review of [filename].pdf"

I have been unable to download adobe acrobat pro, which I purchased on a month to month basis almost exactly 1 year ago, since I purchased it. I just received a renewal email and it had a link to download the program and for the first time when I clicked on the link it actually sent me to a page that had the icon to download now. I clicked on that, but when I went to open the file and start downloading after about 3 minutes into downloading it says an error had occurred. Can anyone help me?

I am a little worried. If you are an existing subscriber why would Adobe need you to download... I wonder if the message is a fake.
I'm not clear, if you've had it for a year, whether you need to download, or you are just following the email?
This page with the icon to download now. Was it a page on adobe.com ?

  • I purchased Adobe Acrobat Pro XI via email download via the Dell Store yesterday. The product key doesn't work/fit into any of the "Registration" templates I've look through on the Adobe website. Manufacturer Part # 65195473.

I purchased Adobe Acrobat Pro XI via email download code via the Dell Store yesterday. The product key given doesn't work/fit into the boxes on any of the "Register" pages on the Adobe website. Therefore, although I paid for the product and it is downloaded, it is not "installed" and will not work to print documents from emails, etc.

    Hi williamc48321229,
You must have received redemption code via email from the reseller.
Please ensure that you are entering the right code as that would be needed to obtain the serial number for activating the product.
For more details on this, please refer:

    Hope this helps.

  • Fillable form created with Acrobat Pro and sent to iPad by email.

I Create a Fillable form in Acrobat Pro and emailed it to an iPad. I loaded the PDF into Acrobat Reader for iOS. The file is opened, all fields filled and then it is emailed. So far so good.  I then exit reader iOS. Later when I come back in and open the file the fields are still filled. If I do this same process on a windows PC Acrobat reader functions exactly the same but will not save the data in the form when the application is exited. This is exactly what I want. How do I get Reader iOS to perform in this manner? It is imperative that the fields in this form be empty every time I open it on the iPad.
    THanks

If I open your Form with Reader XI, modify it, then close it, I am prompted to Save.  If I select “Don’t Save”, then, of course, the modification is not saved.  If I select “Save”, the modification is saved.  So it does not appear that any logic has been embedded into the form that clears the modifications prior to Save.  Its possible that older versions of Reader do not permit Save, however, a user using the current version of Reader: Reader XI would need to be trained to select the “Don’t Save” button for your workflow to be valid.
With the Mobile Reader, save is implicit.  So there is no prompt to Save on close.  The modifications are saved automatically.
If you want to start with a reset form each time it is opened, there are a couple alternatives:
Users can duplicate the unfilled form and work with the duplicate each time, thereby leaving the original in its unfilled state.
You can embed some instructions into the form that clear its contents on form open.  Note that with this option, the prior content (pre-clear) will still be in the file even though it is not presented to the user.  This would be a problem if multiple users were using the same device and the form content were sensitive.
I’ve sent you a version of your form with option 2. implemented that you can try.

  • Help!  I can't distribute forms, or email them at all in Adobe Acrobat Pro

I have wasted an entire weekend attempting to email, distribute etc. forms out of the Adobe Acrobat Pro 9.2 I just bought.  I have uninstalled and redownloaded and I just get the error "unable to connect with mail."  I am working off of my Macbook Pro   10.5.8.  I will include some screen shots below.  I have go to make this work.  I also can't send any pdf attachment, I drag and drop, thats a no go, from mail I go through the add attachment and select the pdf that way, and won't go.  I'm losing my mind.  Any info is appreciated, I have searched all formus and googled to no avail.  Oh I am using the student teacher version as well.  Thanks

Well I was hoping someone more knowledgeable than I would come and nail this thing for you...
But I think you have moved another step forward by showing that Pro can actually send a file.  Therefore in my inexpert opinion, you cannot send the form because of its internal functionality upsetting the email security.  Try sending from another email system.
Also, now that I recall, in the distant past I learned the hard way that there is a 'publish' process with those forms and you may not have quite finished the form...check your manual for a final step.
Please somebody fill in that gap for us!!
Adobe student versions are usually (if not always) identical to the full ones AFAIK.

  • Is there a quick way in Outlook 2007 (using Acrobat Pro X) to change the setting for including/excluding attachments when exporting email ?

I have to export Outlook 2007 email a hundred times a day. Most of the time I do not want the attachments included with the email because I have to save them off to various directories and do not want or need to double up the storage space. However, every couple days, there is an email that I have to save with the attachments. So I have to go into the Adobe settings, change to include attachments. Save the email. Go back into settings, change it back to not include the attachments.
Is there a way - shortcut key, ctrl-alt combinataion, something, that will allow me to save that one email every couple days with attachments without having to go into the settings?
I am using Outlook 2007 with Adobe Acrobat Pro X on a Windows 7 PC.
    Thanks,

    Hi Slowtorque,
There isn't a shortcut but you can use the options in conversion settings to toggle whether to include attachments or not:

  • Email error in Acrobat Pro 9

Every time I try to email from Adobe Acrobat Pro 9, I get the following eror: "Either there is no default email client of the current mail client cannot fulfill the messaging request. Please run Microsoft Outlook and set it as the default mail client". When i click 'ok', i get the following error: 'An error occurred while sending email'. I am unig MS Outlook 2010 64 bit. No other problems with it

    Good day,
If you have not done so already, I would recommend updating your Acrobat 9 to the latest version, 9.4.6.  This sounds similar to an error that was introduced with the 9.4.2 release.
I'm also moving this thread to the Acrobat Windows forum as it is a more appropriate forum for this topic.
    Kind regards,

  • PDF to Email: LiveCycle or Acrobat Pro?

    Hello!
I´m very new to this so, please, be patient with my questions.
Here´s what I need: I´d like to create a PDF form so I could send it to several people and receive the results by email.
    Possible?
Do I need LiveCycle to do it or will Acrobat Pro do the job?
Are there any tutorials available that could help me get started?
    Thank you for any ideas.
    Marcos

    Hi Sara,
I'm working on an Imac 3.2GHz Intel Core i5 running OS X 10.9.5. Sometimes
Acrobat just shuts down, sometimes it stops responding and I have to force
quit, and other times I get this message: "Save as failed to process this
    document. No document was created".
I don't know exactly how the PDFs were created, as they come from another
institution. They look as if they were exported from excel though. The
thing is I have several files, all with the same structure, from the same
source, and the small ones were converted without a problem, but the large
ones simply won't. I'm attaching one of the files, perhaps you can see for
    yourself something useful.
    Thanks,
    Mariana

  • How to change the email client for the 'Review' features.  Acrobat Pro X

Acrobat Pro X (10.1.2) was installed on a system that used Lotus Notes (v8.5) email client, all was well.  The system was then upgraded to MS Outlook 2010, so Outlook is now the email client on system.  While reading a PDF document an email address can be double clicked and a new Outlook message is started.  Problem is on the Comment toolbar the features under Review will still prompt for a Lotus Notes password.   Seems Acrobat is still wanting to email ‘reviews’ using Notes.  Finding no Option to change here and GOOGLing at this to no avail am posting here.
A registry tweak or some INI file to change here?  Any help please.  My fallback plan is to remove and re-install Acrobat Pro.

Try making sure your default email program is set under Edit > Preferences > Internet category > Internet Settings ...Programs tab in Acrobat.
You can also try doing a Help > Repair Acrobat installation since you installed Outlook after installing Acrobat.

  • Can an Acrobat Pro DC fillable form have a submit by email button that works in all browsers?

Last time I attempted to make an online fillable pdf form the submit (to email) button wouldn't work in all browsers.
Has this been addressed in Acrobat Pro DC?
What is the best way to obtain a successful result?

Two issues may affect the ability to successfully receive the PDF submission:
First, the built-in PDF "Viewers" lack the ability to submit PDF form and form data, viewers are not compatible with Live-Cycle XFA PDFs, and they lack Extended Reader Rights proprietary to Adobe Software. End-users will need to disable the default built-in viewer, and enable Adobe Reader as the default PDF viewer on the default browser.
Visit the following website to learn how to enable Adobe Reader:  Acrobat Help | Display PDF in browser | Acrobat, Reader XI
Second, submitting to an email address may not send; because, the default client-side email may not be configured correctly. To bypass client-side email software you can set the submit button action to point an URL of a server-side script, such as PHP or ASP.net. The script can take the submission and send using SMTP account without the need for OUTLOOK or web-mail.
Visit the following website for online server-side script examples:

  • Acrobat Pro: Create PDF Form Export so it's not editable User fills out and info is emailed back to me

I have zero experience with PDF forms. A client needs to have the email addresses changed in an older PDF form, so I've opened it in Acrobat Pro, changed the existing email addresses and am now stuck. How do I save it so it's not editable by the end-user? Everything I've tried (Distribution via email, flattening, security) have not worked; either the form fields get stripped out or I receive nothing via email and I can still open the distributed form and edit the fields.
I need it so the end-user will view the form in their browser
    Fill out the fields
Click submit and the info is sent back to me via email.
If they download the PDF they can NOT edit it.
    Thanks!
    Tim

Open the PDF and do the following:  File> Save As> Reader Extended PDF> Enable Additional Features

  • Acrobat Pro Student license error

I am a student at a University and bought this software.  It registered when I first downloaded it and then after a few weeks it started to ask me to register it.  Every time it gives me this screen and the support pages are really horrid to try and email or call someone.  I spend way to much time trying to find how to submit my problem.  That aside can I get a way to contact Adobe about this with my real serial so this can be fixed.  It is now causing me problems with finishing school work and unless Adobe wants to pay for my semester I need this to get working now.
