Acrobat X Standard locking MS Office 2007 Clipboard on Windows 7

Acrobat X Standard locks Office 2007 Clipboard on Windows 7 Enterprise 32bit Version after a few copy and pastes from Acrobat X into MS Word, Excel etc
As soon as I close Acrobat X Clipboard is released in Office and I am able to paste again. I can copy and paste if I copy data as followed
Open PDF file in Acrobat X Standard
Copy Infomation required
Close Acrobat X
Paste data into office app
repeat until complete
Otherwise a reboot of the machine will allow for a couple of Copy and pastes in a row.
NOTE only have copy and paste issues with Acrobat X is open
Thank you for your suggestions in advance

>doesn't allow users to save the completed pdf forms to any of the network drives
Over in the Premiere Pro forum where I spend more time (use that more than the Acrobat that came with Master Collection) there are a few messages a year from people who want to use PPro with networked files, or run from a network instead of a standalone computer... and the answer has always been that the program is simply not designed to be used in that fashion... so it doesn't work
It would appear that Acrobat is also designed to run on a standalone computer, with local hard drive(s) and doing anything else just won't work
I don't remember the name of the (software-hardware?) but there was one message by someone using a specific type of network that allowed them to "spoof" the local computer into thinking that the network drive was actually a local drive hardwired to the computer... and that did work for file saving

  • Application Virtualization 4.6 (SoftGrid) Acrobat Pro 9.2 and Office 2007

I'm actually trying to sequence Acrobat Pro 9.2 together with Office 2007 in a dynamic suite composition with Application Virtualization 4.6 RC.
I can sequence both applications and deploy them to the client. Everything seems to work fine, except the Acrobat plug-in in office. When I start Word or another office application, i can see the tab "Acrobat" and can choose the option to create a PDF of the actual document. If the Office application was started the first time since the logon, the PDF is going to be created as it should... no error. If I'd like to create a second PDF an error occures, saying that Adobe Acrobat can't be used because it's not activated (Its a volume license installation). The same error when I close and start the office application again. When I log off and log in, it works again the first time. Starting Acrobat without Office (independent) everything works and no such error appears. The Problem is that, the virtual application resides active (in use) in the App-V console after closing (maybe thats a normal behavior when two packages are dependent in a dynamic suite composition...).
I think there's a problem with the combination of App-V and the licensing system used by Adobe. Is it possible to install the licensing component seperately from Acrobat (during the sequencing a FlexNet service were identified? I could not find appropriate setup files to do so... Maybe its possible to solve the problem by installing the licensing component localy on the computer and then the virtualized application uses this component to check the license status or whatever is going to be checked...
    Thanks for any hint...

The first problem is probably a permissions issue. Run Repair Permissions from the Disk Utility. For the second see this

  • Acrobat Pro 8, Vista and Office 2007 - No PDF printer available

    Hello,
I try to install Acrobat 8 Pro on a Vista professional based machine with office 2007 but I can't generate any PDF docs.
I try to install acrobat with my account (group administrator) or directly with the administrator account with the same result : no PDF virtual printer was created and it's impossible to add one using an existing PDF port or by creation of a new one.
I try to update my installation with the 8.10 update but no changes... Can someone help me with this issue ?
    Thank you.

Here is a more complete description of my problem and the things I have tried. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

No pdf printer driver is installed. When I print from an Office 2007 saving as adobe pdf I get the following error message:
PDFMaker cannot locate the Adobe PDF Printers printer driver. Please re-install Adobe Acrobat 8.0.
The printer driver is in fact NOT installed. I look at the system printers and there is no PDF printer driver.
I have re-installed several times. I called support and they wont help me because I purchased a volume license and it will cost me $40 to get support.
I have searched user groups and Adobe knowledge bases to no avail.
I have tried to install the driver myself with the .inf files located in the dir C:\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat 8.0\Acrobat\Xtras\AdobePDF there are the following .inf files. None of them will install when I try to add a printer and select have disk and select any of them.
    AdobePDF.inf AdobePDFCT.inf AdobePDFK.inf
    AdobePDFCS.inf AdobePDFJ.inf
    I get the following error:
"Printer driver was not installed. Unable to find a core driver package that is required by the printer driver package."
The msi installer has created two printer ports Documents/*.pdf (Adobe PDF port), and Desktop/*.pdf (Adobe PDF port)
I have tried Uninstalled and reinstalled several times. I have also tried repair several times

    Hi,
Please try to insert some PDF files from  Insert tab --> Object --> Create New --> Adobe Acrobat Document
In addition, make sure Adobe Reader is the default application to open the PDF files.
If the issue persists, please try repair or reinstall the latest version of Adobe reader and check this again.

  • How to deactivate  ADOBE ACROBAT 9 STANDARD LICENCE ON PC FOR REINSTALLATION OF WINDOWS

I am having Adobe Acrobat 9 Standard installed in my Dell Inspiron 2310 pc.  Due to some issue, Dell advice me to take up back up of all, for windows reinstallation. I am having window 7- 64 bit. I am having  Original CD with product Key number with me, valid for 2 pc, although using just one. Please advice how to do

    Hello yogeshjain,
You might need to choose 'Deactivate' option under Acrobat Help menu.
Once you are done with Windows reinstallation, you can again activate Acrobat with the registered serial number.
For more details, you can simply refer:

    Hope it helps.

  • Acrobat 9.0 + MS Office 2007 Pro. + Windows 7 x64 - HELP!

Sometimes when saving an excel spreadsheet OR document in Adobe Acrobat 9 as a .pdf the softwares(MS Office and/or Acrobat 9) will freeze and eventually the user loses control of the system forcing a hard reboot. The users are running new HP Elite workstations w/ Windows 7 x64! Please help!

This is a User 2 User forum.
Have you checked Adobe's Acrobat KBs?
Support policy for Adobe Acrobat 9 (Windows x64)
    Adobe product operating system compatibility
Is the Acrobat X Family 64-bit compliant?
Yes, Acrobat continues to be a 32-bit application that can run and has been tested on Microsoft® Windows 7 64 bit, Windows Vista® 64 bit, Windows XP 64 bit, and Windows Server® 2003 64 bit.

  • Install Acrobat X Standard silently while Office Apps are running

Is this possible? I have not had issues with previous versions but when I push this through SCCM to run silently, a popup still appears indicating that any open Office app and IE need to be closed before installation can continue. Acrobat 9 would install even if other apps were running. Am I missing a parameter or a Customization Wizard setting?
    Thanks in advance...
    --Joe.

    Thanks Sandeep.
I am looking in the Dialog section and see the CloseApps_Warning. This appears to be the popup box, but I want the box itself supressed, and for the installation to continue even if the apps are running. When I look in the AppsInUse section, I assume the Ignoreable column is what needs to be changed, but all of the apps that I mention in the original post are listed there with a 1 (TRUE?), so since they are ignoreable, I would think that this would supress the popup warning...
The installation needs to truly be silent, like Acrobat 9.
    Thanks.

  • PDF Maker Acrobat 8.1 unavailable in Office 2007, despite Acrobat Help article

I've already tried all of the steps in Acrobat's article about this problem (1. Enabled the PDFMaker Add-In via Word Options; 2. Manually registered the COM add-in file; 3. Verified that the COM Add-In is selected; 4. Repaired the Acrobat installation; 5. Re-installed Acrobat in a simplified mode.) The COM Add-In appears and is checked in Word Options and Excel Options. I've also re-installed Office. Acrobat STILL doesn't appear on the menu for Word, Excel, etc.
    Does anyone have another trick?

Your reply inspired a thought that has, in fact, solved my problem. My original installation disks are for v8.0, and so when I followed Adobe's instructions and re-installed, I eliminated all of the 8.1 updates. Interestingly, when I used Acrobat's Help Menu to check for updates it said that none were available. Last night I manually installed all the updates (v8.1.1 through 8.1.7) manually and the PDFMaker reappeared in the Office applications. Thank you for replying so promptly - I always appreciate the community's help.

  • Acrobat 9 Standard .ppt/pptx to pdf missing objects after conversion

We have Acrobat 9 Standard fully updated, office 2007 fully updated and patched with the Microsoft pdf converter add-on on XP service pack3
When converting ppt/pptx and doc/docx to pdf some of the pictures and information on the slides are missing. If a completely remove Acrobat and just leave the Microsoft pdf converter on, it is able to convert the files correctly.  If I install Acrobat 8 standard it works fine also. The majority of the files that it seems to not be converting and leaving off are .emf and .jpg files. It is not all .emf files just the majority
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks.

Have you tried answering no, then going to Help>Repair and follow up with Help>Updates? A last resort is to uninstall (after deactivation), run http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/acrobatcleaner.html, remove leftover parts of Acrobat folder, reboot and reinstall. Be sure you have the installation files archived on a CD or backup drive and write the SN on the CD (and previous SN if an update) for future needs.

  • Winword.exe process starts at startup after installing Adobe Acrobat X Standard

I installed Adobe Acrobat X Standard on a Dell Latitude D610 running Windows XP Service Pack 3.  Every time the machine is started up, Winword.exe appears in the Processes tab of task manager using up to 100% of the CPU.  Word itself does not open.  If I cancel the Winword.exe process, CPU usage drops to more usual levels.  Starting Word also pushes CPU usage up to 100%.  This did not occur before Acrobat X was installed.  I used System restore to restore to a point before Acrobat was installed and the problems with Word did not occur.  Re-installed Acrobat X and the problems re-appeared.  System restore back to a previous point and the problems disappeared. I am using Word 2000.
Any ideas or suggestions would be welcome.
    Thank you.

I don't believe Acrobat X supports Word 2000. There could be some strange incompatibility. Since you have a bright and shiny Acrobat X, maybe its time to update Word and Windows, if for no other reason that the more modern versions are much more secure.

  • Problem opening Keynote 08 created PPT in Windows Office 2007

After creating my presentation in iWork08 Keynote I save it first in its native format, and then in PPT. When I try to open the PPT in Office 2007 on a WIndows machine, all I get is an empty Window. If I open it in Office 2003, no problems. If I then save it in Office XP/2003 format, Office 2007 can then read it without issues. Has anyone else seen this behaviour, and if you have, have you been able to resolve it at all?

I've had the exact same problem running Vista and Office 2007 except I don't have the luxury of having another computer with Office 2003. Does anyone know of a fix? This totally makes buying windows useless as a way to check ppts that we export from Keynote. Can apple fix this?

  • Upgrade Acrobat X standard to X pro get error 1334 "convertxf.exe" not found on install

Have operational Acrobate X Standard software already on my PC using Windows XP
upgraded to Acrobate X Pro, dowloaded with no problems, During install encountered the following error:
    Error 1334. The file
    "convertxf.exe, 715C03BA_A57B_4264_80D9_38D98029F5A7"
cannot be installed because the files cannot be found in cabinet file
'Data 1.cab'. This could indicate a network error, an error reading
from the CD-ROM, or a problem with this package.
The Data 1. Cab file look to me to be orignally down loaded with the Acrobate X standard. I have re-downloaded Acrobate X standard and re-installed I still have the same problem. I have also re-down loaded and re-installed Acrobate X Pro, same problem.
    Any suggenstions?

Are you able to remove Acrobat 10 Standard using the Programs & Features control panel?

  • Importing Office 2007 Quick Access Toolbar to Office 2010

I want to bring over my QATs created in Office 2007 (running in Windows XP Pro) into Office 2010 (running in Windows 7 Pro). Because there is no way to export the Office 2007 QATs to a file, I can't do the normal importing a customization file
directly from within Office 2010. However, if I copy my word.qat (or excel.qat, powerpoint.qat, etc) file created in Office 2007 over to the appropriate folder in Office 2010, and just change the file extension from ".qat" to ".officeUI" it brings up
my QAT settings in Office 2007. It looks okay and seems to function properly like this.
I think this will work, but I'm not sure if it will cause other problems. It seems to look okay. Will I run into trouble with it later?

Sorry to bump such an old thread... but I couldn't find anything about a possible 2007 > 2013 migration.  The strict change in extension names doesn't enable the old .qat file to be imported (in MSO2013 the new extension is .exportedUI) -- however,
digging into the old .qat and new .exportedUI files, it seems all I needed to do was add <mso: cmd app="Word" dt="0" /> to the start of the file and presto... imported without any problems.  Let's see if it all runs fine... (and if it works in Excel
    too) (phew!)

  • Installing office 2007

I am new to the Mac community.  I still live in the PC world at work and have installed parallel desktop and windows 7.  I am having trouble installing MS Office 2007 on the windows side.  I have the original DVD, but it doesn't run automatically from the DVD; clicking on the setup.exe file doesn't work and I get different error messages when I try to autorun or open the set up files.  Any help?

Can anyone give a detailed reason as to why MS doesn't want to utilize Office on Win7 Embedded?  Is this a decision MS made or is there another force behind the reason?  I can't understand why MS would want to limit their revenue by not allowing
one of their own apps run on their own OS.
    I read the pdf from
    here and the info from
here but I still do not understand the reason to limit the functionality

    Hi Tyler,
Please check to make sure that you are on the correct support package.
For Microsoft Office and Vista support, you need to be on SAP NetWeaver support package <b>stack</b> 12, which is equivalent to SAP NetWeaver <b>BI support package 13</b>.
Please see https://service.sap.com/~form/sapnet?_SHORTKEY=01100035870000674496& for the mapping of BI support packages to NW support package stacks.
