AcroExch.app(sdk)はAcrobat Reader 5.0では使用できないの?

undefined

  • AcroExch.App with Adobe Reader

    If a computer only has Adobe Reader installed, can an application running on that computer interact with a pdf document via OLE?  In particular, can an application on that computer use AcroExch.App and AcroExch.AVDoc objects?
    Example code:
    #import "acrobat.tlb" rename_namespace("ACROBAT"), auto_rename
    ACROBAT::CAcroAppPtr app("AcroExch.App");
    ACROBAT::CAcroAVDocPtr avDoc("AcroExch.AVDoc");
    ACROBAT::CAcroPDDocPtr pdDoc;
    avDoc->Open(TEXT("c:\\example.pdf"), TEXT(""));
    pdDoc = avDoc->GetPDDoc();
    pdDoc->OpenAVDoc("Title");
    Currently creating app gives error: Invalid class string
    Thanks!

    Hi Athirukk
    from above posts, it appear you have worked good deal to edit pdf docs without using SDK ( with the help of plugins/DDE).

    Hello, I have the usual issue to use AcroExch.PDDoc/AcroExch.App/AcroExch.AVDoc objects in Visual Basic (MS EXCEL). On my company's machine I have Acrobat X and everything works fine. I am looking for the cheapest solution to get the stuff running on another machine... is there any way to do that with the Acrobat SDK, or do I need to purchase a full version of Acrobat XI ($$) ?

    The Acrobat SDK is nothing by itself. It is just information on how to automate Acrobat - just as the Office SDK doesn't include Office, but is for people who already have purchased Office but want to automate it.
    These automation things are MARKETING TOOLS FOR ACROBAT. Consider this and the technical limitations make a lot more sense.
    So, yes, you need to buy Acrobat. Standard is cheaper than Pro.

  • Acrobat Reader closes after opening PDF from an app-v

    So we have a problem with reader version 10.1.0.534. In our company we have most applicaties packaged as an app-v take firefox as an example. Now when we try to open a pdf document from firefox Acrobat Reader opens for a second and then closes again right away. Reader itself is installed on Windows 7 x64 (so reader is not packaged with app-v)
    We also have this problem with some business applicaties. Is this a known issue for this Reader version? upgrading reader is a big thing (large company) so if there is a fix in the settings it would help us greatly.

    Hi Ronnie,
    I am not able to reproduce the exact issue. Sequenced the latest build of Firefox on a system already having Reader 10.1.4, so that the reader plugins gets registered. On the sequencer the PDF is opening up in Firefox. The firefox package is then installed on a client system having Reader 10.1.4. When I open any PDF in firefox on the client, I always get the SaveAs dialog.
    How are you sequencing Firefox. Are you making any customizations so that browser extensions work well. In this case browser is working within the virtual environment and might not be able to talk to local Reader.

  • Using the Acrobat SDK with READER

    I have successfully coded (C#) against Acrobat Pro. in the past. Since ACROBAT.DLL is not provided with Acrobat Reader, how can you code against it? The sample code provided with the SDK shows it's use with ACROBAT.DLL and states that limited functionality is available for Reader, but how can that be if ACROBAT.dll is not provided with Reader? Am I missing a concept here? Is there another DLL and TLB to use for Reader? I'm lost!
    Thanks

    Hi gadi b,
    It sounds like you may want to create a form field in your PDF file, which your sales personnel can paste text into. You can use either Acrobat or Adobe FormsCentral to create PDF forms. For instructions, see FormsCentral Help | Create a form or Acrobat Help | Forms.

  • Is Acrobat Reader supported by Adobe on App-V?

    We are planning a desktop upgrade to Windows 8.1 with apps running on App-V, Is Acrobat Reader supported by Adobe on App-V?

    Hi Ralph,
    I can understand your concern & will guide you in the right direction.
    Adobe Acrobat Reader DC do not immediately support App-V with this base release. Support is expected in the coming months. However if its an older version of Adobe Reader, it will be working fine.
    In case if you have any further query please let us know, we will be happy to help you.

  • Disable share function on acrobat reader on Android tablet app

    Installed the adobe acrobat reader on a android tablet.  As the table is locked down for the most part with other third party apps, I also wanted to prohibit the ability for the user to save to acrobat.com or to share to other apps or internet.  Basically a view only reader.

    There is a special subforum for the Android version of Reader:

  • Acrobat Reader 8.1.12 takes over Vista desktop and windows apps

    Install is good, but 90% of my desktop icons become acrobat reader icons. If I double click on one of the icons - a message reads "acrobat cannot open 'pgmname'.exe not supported file format etc. etc. (pgmname is the application I'm trying to open). I un-installed 8.1.12 and everything is fine. I re-installed today and the same thing happens. I have a Dell laptop running Vista Home Premium. I believe this started after I installed XPSEP Vista 32bit. I needed this to print invoices from Quickbooks.

  • Installing Acrobat Reader Plug-In Only (Not Full App)

    I'm curious to know if its possible to load the Adobe Acrobat Reader Plug-in portion only in IE and Firefox. Ideally I'd prefer to not have to install the entire application just to view PDF's in IE/Firefox as I rely on a third party application to view, and manipulate, PDF's outside of the browsers. Yes, I can change the association of .PDF's in Explorer or re-install (or perform a repair installation of) the application to restore the file associations, but if I can avoid installing Adobe Acrobat Reader all together, I'd prefer that route.
    Is this possible or does the application have to be installed?
    Thanks
    Jules

    It needs to be installed.

    How can I clear a form after submitting and saving the data in the iOS Acrobat Reader App

    Darrell,
    Thanks for this response. After I posted mine, I saw that the resetForm JavaScript method is documented as being supported starting with version 10.5: http://www.adobe.com/devnet-docs/acrobatetk/tools/Mobile/js.html
    But I haven't been able to get it to work. Can you clarify if support was indeed added and if it works for you?
