ACS Shell Cmds stopped working

I have a group in ACS that has limited level 15 access to NDGs. Under Unmatch Commands I have "configure", with "permit terminal" under unmatched arugs. This has been working fine for months.
A week ago, this command stopped working. I've tried removing and re adding the command but no luck.
Any ideas??
This is ACS 3.3(4) on Windows platform.

What do does the fail attempts log say? You may also want to run "debug aaa author" and "debug tacacs author" and see what is sent and returned from ACS.

  • Why does Cmd+\ stop working?

I've been having trouble where a keyboard shortcut in an app - Cmd+\ - gets not response. Or rather it does work on first booting but at some point it stops working. The first thought was another app was grabbing the shortcut association, but I can't find any sign of that.
By chance, with the keyboard viewer left open, I noticed that on initial boot the viewer registers both the Cmd and \ keypresses. When the shortcut stops working, the viewer shows - for the same keypress combo - that only the Cmd key is registered as down in the viewer. Interesting!
This is happening on a Sping 2011 unibody MacBookPro (v8,2, Core i7 2.2GHz, 8 Gb RAM, not under heavy load). I have an external extended keyboard (for numberpad use) usually attached via the USB port on an external Apple 27" display. Anyway, the change in key registration is the same in the keyboard viewer whether I use the external keyboard (also if plugged directly into the MBP's USB  port) or the MacBook Pro's own keypad.
Uaccessibility settings were mooted as a cause. Checking, I've  'enable access for assitive devices' and screen zoom set 'on'. Disabling either/both of these has no effect.
Both Cmd and \ keys work fine on their own.
Might this be a hardware fault or am I somehow triggering some obscure setting.

Good spot. Yes, it does turn out to be 1Password, in a roundabout way. Odd how that shortcut didn't show up even in things like KeyCue, but it is a shortcut for a Safari Extension so may be less 'visibile' to shortcut-sniffing utilities than normal apps.
Acting on your tip, I visisted 1Password and got to here: http://help.agilebits.com/1Password3/keyboard_shortcuts.html. I nixed their 'Fill Login' shortcut - which thankfully I don't use. After that Tinderbox worked well.
The shortcut is set via 1Password's setting and  - I think - affects the plug-in is all browsers (or if used only work with Safari). I have the 1P extension in Safari/Firefox/Chrome here having altered the 1P preferences all seems well.
The really weird bit was how, when running, the iP extension shortcut suppressed the '\' in a 'Cmd+\' keypress. Very odd.
FWIW, I stumbled on this as I also use Eastgate's Tinderbox daily and that has Cmd+\ hard mapped to a much-used dialog. the only possible fix short of not using one app or the other was to remove or alter the shortcut for the 1P browser extension.
    Thanks again,
    Mark

  • Zoom-In hotkey has stopped working

I was working in Illustrator last night when the zoom-in hotkey (cmd +) stopped working for me. All other hotkeys in my usual workflow have been working, including the zoom-out (cmd -) hotkey, strangely enough.
    So far I have tried:
    -Restarting Illustrator
    -Deleting Illustrator Prefs file
    -Killing all background applications
Nothing has worked. I'm still without a zoom in hotkey. I've tested the cmd key and the + key in and out of Illustrator, and both work fine, just not in conjunction. I've also checked in Photoshop and the zoom in hotkey works find there.
    I'm using:
    Illustrator CS4 (trial)
    OSX 10.4.11
    Photoshop CS2
if somebody has a clue, i'd be more than happy to listen. this is killing my workflow. Not being able to zoom in through keys is like working with one hand tied behind my back.

Try removing the entire Adobe Illustrator CS4 Settings folder, not just the Adobe Illustrator Prefs file inside.

  • Cmd+right shortcut has stopped working

Ever since updating to Snow Leopard from Leopard, the Cmd+right arrow built-in shortcut to go to the end of a line of text has stopped working. This used to work in most applications, now it doesn't work at all.
I don't see anything in System Prefs > Keyboard > Shortcuts that is overriding it, and I haven't installed any applications different from when I was on Leopard. Cmd+left arrow shortcut is still working too, which makes this even weirder.
Any suggestions as to where I would start to troubleshoot this?

I'd hazard the guess at this moment that it isn't hardware related, but don't discount that until you test with a USB keyboard perhaps.
I hate to say it, but there seem to be a number of things like this lately with reports of the issue mysteriously clearing itself shortly thereafter. I'm not trying to bucket shop a load of pixie dust, so please don't make any plans around this particular summation

  • CMD Space and CMD {RIGHT}/{LEFT} have stopped working as config- any ideas?

I have CMD Space set to open Spotlight - set in Preferences/Keyboard&Mouse/Keyboard Shortcuts
Used to work but stopped over the last couple of days.
Also, I have set the Spaces to switch on a CMD {Right} or {Left} cursor. this has stopped too.
Have confirmed both are set in preferences.
    Have done a reboot.
    Keys still not working.
Any suggestions. Failing that I'll just live with it until I put SL on it.

Here was my solution to this. My left click button on both the trackpad and touch pad suddenly stopped working on me. After putting up with this for a few weeks I decided to investigate. I found if I disabled the touch pad the trackpad left click would start to work again. So I investigated by carefully popping off the left click button for touchpad. Everything looked normal, so I investigated a little father buy removing the small round blueish rubber piece in the middle of the button. Once I did this I realized it quite dirty, with a soft cloth and a toothpick I cleaned both the contacts on the PC and the the black spot on the rubber piece, putting everything back together and my left click worked once again.
The cause of my problem was just a build up of dirt under the rubber contact which caused the button to short out and disable itself.
I didn't have to reinstall any software or drivers.

  • Copy (CMD+C) Stops working?

Intermittently my CMD+C will stop working when working with a number spread sheet.
    I'm on lion on a 15"MBP from late 2010.
    Any idea?

This could be lots of things.  I'd say it was some type of system corruption.
First, thing is to define a new user  & see if the problem exits there.
If not, -- good news -- it is probably some finder preference.  You need to delete the finder preferences.
Otherwise, the corruption is somewhere else.
    the  swag stuff…
You may want to run these "standard" fixes if the problem persists.
Check the amount of free space on your harddrive.  You should have a several gigs free.
    You should run disk utility
    a) verify the disk
    b) update your permissions.

Shutdown your machine.  Hold down the shift key.  Poweron.  Wait awhile Wait awhile while you harddrive is being checked.

  • App switching (cmd-tab) and Expose stop working

This has happened to me several times in the last couple of days: Suddenly the cmd-tab command for switching applications stops working, as well as my active corners for Expose. No matter if I use the laptop's keyboard or an external one. After a restart everything works again. Any ideas?

I'm having the exact same problem. I think it may be somehow tied to the new update of itunes (9.0.1) because when I try to cmd+tab after open itunes it activates tabbing within the itunes fields.

It seems you have command authorization configured in acs. Make sure you have shell exec checked on acs --->group set.

  • "cmd f" stopped working

My "cmd f" function stopped working for Safari after upgrade to Maverick OS. How can I solve this problem?

    Hello Mommystarr,
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.
For more information on this, take a look at:
Safari: Unsupported third-party add-ons may cause Safari to unexpectedly quit or have performance issues
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ts3230
Remove any unsupported third-party add-ons you've installed (see if the add-on's installer includes an uninstall feature).
    Open Safari again.

  • Show config not working in ACS "Shell Command Auth set"

To allow an AAA user access to the "show config" command I have created them an account in ACS and assigned the relevant "Shell Auth Set" but it still does not permit them to use it?, I read that this may not be the command that the switch sends the ACS server. Anyone have any ideas (switch is configured with all AAA commands)

    Hi,
I am expecting that rest of the shell command authorization configuration is good on the ACS and device. We need to add command show along with the argument in command authorization set. I have attached a sample configuration for reference.
Please verify the configuration of ACS and device before making any changes from keeping your self locked on the device.

  • Sqldeveloper64W.exe has stopped working

    Problem Summary
Receive error: sqldeveloper64W.exe has stopped working when attempting to open .sql files
    Problem Description
Within SQL Developer 4.0, I've gone into Preferences > File Types, found the .sql extension and checked the box that says Open with SQL Developer.  I've gone to the Set Associations control panel in Windows 7 Professional 64 bit and confirmed that the Current Default is set to sqldeveloper64W.  I've used the CMD function to access regedit, deleted the file associations for .sql and set all preferences again.  If SQL developer is not already open on my machine and I attempt to open a .sql file, the application launches fine.  If I try to open additional files from windows explorer or windows search, I get an APPCRASH indicating that sqldeveloper64W.exe has stopped working.  I click close the program and sql developer remains open, but my file has not opened.
    Error Codes
    sqldeveloper64W.exe has stopped working

This problem has been plaguing me for ages too, but I think I've finally found the solution from this post:
    http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_7-files/problems-with-file-association-in-windows-7-64-bit/8a84fcec-22df-4942-8e35-d98dbe96e327
"In regedit: Navigate to Computer\HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Applications and find your .exe name.
Navigate under its name to shell>open>command. In the Default change its location to the actual location of the executable, hit okay and then try and reassociate the file type as you normally would."
In my particular case, I browsed to   Computer\HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Applications\sqldeveloper64W.exe\shell\Open\Command
    and changed the (Default) value
    from "C:\oracle\sqldeveloper\sqldeveloper-4.0.2.15.21-x64\sqldeveloper\bin\sqldeveloper64W.exe" "%1" %*
    to "C:\oracle\sqldeveloper\sqldeveloper-4.0.2.15.21-x64\sqldeveloper.exe" "%1" %*
And now the file association works correctly, and now with sql developer already open, I can open another .sql file from windows explorer. Fingers crossed this is finally fixed!

Does dmenu_run still exist in your filesystem? I don't have my box handy, so I can't list out the files in the dmenu package.... Did you ever create a shell script called dmenu_run to call dmenu, and it disappeared? What happens if you run dmenu_run from the command line? If it does exist, is it still in your $PATH?
    Good luck!
