Active X Menu Refnum
I am trying to find an active x menu refnum so that i can check and uncheck a right click menu option.
Does anybody know how to do this?

Hopefully you know that menus in labview can be accessed with a ref from "Current VI's Menubar"? You can't actually trigger a menu item, but you can tag and untag them (and insert, delete enable/disable items).
Note that controls and menus (everything in LabVIEW) is drawn with native LabVIEW routines (so it's platform independant). So it's not likely that the menus are activex controls.

www.vartortech.comI just thought of a workaround...you could have a Menu Bar Ref indicator on your main VI front panel. When your VI runs, you could have the Current VI's Menubar function wire the refnum into that indicator. Then, in your subVI that has the VI reference, you could use VI Server to read the value of that indicator, then cast the value into a refnum wire, then you'd have access to the menubar reference in the subVI without having to pass it in to a subVI terminal. Would that work?
Oh, another simpler idea would be to simply wire the Menubar reference into a global, and read that global in the subVI.

Active page Menu button hover styling
I having a bug / issue with the 'Active' state on the menu buttons. Even though the Active state on the buttons are correct in Muse when designing, whenever I publish, then hover over on the active page menu button.. the styling switches to a white font with a white bg. I need the white bg but the font color is supposed to be black.. like I have set it inside Muse.

In HTML, whenever a link is in active state, no other states work on it. Here in your case, the link is on the Menu item (Button) and not on the text inside that button.
Which is why, the colour of text changes but the colour of the Button does not change when it is in Active state.
I would here suggest you here to use some other color combination so that it is displayed properly to the users.

I have this LabVIEW template which I use whenever starting a new programming session
It among others, contains an empty menu reference which I check regularly.
Originally I used to initialize this reference at program startup.
One day I decided that I don't bother to set this reference when I do not use the menu system when running the program.
So far so good. One program I had made, worked perfectly when polling this empty reference too.
Then I built an application of this program, and this application also worked perfectly well.
I even left it running on idle (250 ms loop) doing almost nothing for days just because it was no reason to close it until next use.
Though by accident I one day had a look into my temp folder and saw some LV text logfile of quite some size, like 250 MB.
The beginning of that log file looked like this:

Of course, the item that drew my attention is the line saying: "CallsARefnumFuncion: bad refnum kind=9"
Through some investigation I finally found out that that warning was due to the checking of the empty menu reference.
Every 250 ms the LV runtime system hit that reference and added some lines to that log file.
I feel this must be some kind of bug since that this only happens when running a built application, not when only running the development system program.
And of course it's an annoying bug if that log file gets a chance to grow GB big an maybe crash a whole computer.It's simple as this. LabVIEW 11 executable and VI and LV8 VI.

When Itunes is active, he recognizes my Iphone4 when I connect via USB (the icon appears). Itunes automatically starts when I connect my Iphone4.
But I can't do anything else than EXIT! Other functions and struments are no availables.
I removed and reinstalled Itunes several times but everything has remained unchanged

Activating User Menu option in SAP Easy Access Screen

Can anyone tell me to activate User Menu in SAP Easy Access screen.
Menu -> User Menu option is disabled.
Is there any Profile Paramater to Enable or Disable this menu option?

Juan and Ganesh, you both are right. But the roles are already assigned to the users.
Its not for 1 users, its for all the users.
We can activate the user menu from Easy Access Screen menu option Menu->User Menu. But this is disables in the Menu->User Menu.
Hence any user is not able to the the user menu.
There is a Profile parameter through which we can enable or disable this option. Can you please provide me the name of that parameter.

In one system I'm getting SAP menu but user menu is disabled, how to activate?
and In other system all users are able to see User menu and SAP menu except one user...what needs to be changes for that user...

Mahendra.I dont think, that user matrix should by sorted with sort menu. Im doing it so, that after dbl click on header of matrix I rerun the query with proper ORDER BY statement.
If is it complicated query, the normal result I have in user table and the matrix is bounded to this table - then the order by is quick. -
Control key activating wireless menu: T440s
I have a company-issued ThinkPad T440s. No admin rights, so I can't install anything.
Yesterday the tech helpdesk replaced the keyboard, and ever since, when I press the lefthand Control key a black 'Change Power Settings of Wireless Radios' menus pops up. This happens most of the time when I press Control alone and all the time when I press it in combination with other keys (e.g., Ctrl+C, Ctrl+V).
I tried going to Control Panel > Keyboard to remap the key, but all I have access to are speed settings, not key mappings.

For example, I boot arch, networkmanager connects to network automatically. It works for a few minutes, then suddenly connection drops. When I refresh the page for a couple of times, it re-connects. I connect to same network both on windows 7 and arch linux. I don't have any trouble with network on windows 7, but on arch linux connection drops frequently.
Therefore I don't think that there is a problem with my network. However, I couldn't test with another network. -
Manual menu shows two active menu items on one page
Hi--I'm having an issue where a manually-created menu shows two active menu items on the same page (as if two pages were active at the same time).

On the left hand menu, even though only the Telecommunications Services page is active, the menu shows an active state for the menu item below it also. How can I fix this? The states look like they are created correctly in the states panel.

Mac OSX: Shortcuts with Alt for menu activation conflicts with spec. chars
Hi!
How can I use the Alt+N for writing "}" in my Hungarian keyboard instead of activating the Menu?
This is very annoying since I have searched in the Accelerators, and there are no entry like "AltN".
It is in JDeveloper 10.1.3.2.
In OSX it is not usual that Alt activates the menu. Can I switch this function off completely somehow?Sorry, I'm a Mac gome, and didn't know they had function keys. Seems like it doesn't work for you however.

}If you run the code a simple JFrame will appear with a menu. If you press <Alt-F> the File menu will open. Standard stuff.
Now uncomment the //new MyKeyboardFocusManager(); line and run the code again. The menu no longer activates on the <Alt-F> key event. What is going on????
The MyKeyboardFocusManager class simple prints out some text and forwards the event to the parent. Why should this stop the frame activating the menu????
To make things even more confusing. If you add a component to the JFrame and move the focus to the component, the <Alt-F> key event works and the menu is shown.
Any help appreciated as I am very confused.....
nesSince you are using your own KeyboardFocusManager that is not handling events by calling super.<method()>. I think you should write your MyKeyboardFocusManager as given below:-

I need help changing a drop down menu on a template
Hi there
ive been using dreamwearver on and of for a few years now and just about get by, ive just bought a web site template and although ive managed to ajust most things,
the template had a drop down menu using CSS currently on the "about us" option a sub menu drops down, ive worked out how to add to this menu and change the words
but what i cant do is have this same drop down menu on another part or the menu system for example i would like another drop down menu on the "our menu" part
any help would be much appreciated

Recently we purchase MS office 2010 professional which is downgraded to 2007 .
we are using the microsoft access for our application . we need to get the report in barcode ( code 39 ) . so we tried to activate the activex control option and active barcode menu . but we couldnot find the active barcode icon in the application .
request to tell whether we need to purchase separately of barcode active x control or MS office package includes this .

I think you will need to purchase separately (I don't think Microsoft provide any such features)
