  • Adapter Engine not visible in SLD, RWB and Directory

    Hi all,
I have problem with the registration of the adapter engine in my sld. When I search for it in Technical Systems doesn´t appears.
I have implemented SAP notes 764176 and 804124 and it doesn´t work.
My system is SAP PI 7.0 and the SLD is configured on a differente machine. The SAP PI machine can reach SLD machine (is not network problem).
    Any suggestions?
    Thank for your postings.

    Hi -
Do you have your SLD Data Supplier service (within Visual Admin tool) for PI Java server pointed to the host of the SLD machine?   If so, you should at least see a Technical System (type Web AS Java) for your PI system in your SLD.

  • Communication channel not visible in RWB

    Hello everyone,
I am not able to view the communication channel in RWB. This is a HTTP sender . i have imported it but still it is not visible in  RWB. what could be the reason ?
    Regards,
    Ravi

    Hi Ravi,
In PI there are basically two types of adapter, adapter engine based and Integration engine based. Integration engine based adapters are HTTP, XI and IDOC. These adapters can be monitored from ABAP stack means from SXI_MONITOR and adapter engine based can be monitored from RWB. Due to this differentiation you HTTP adatper is not visitble in RWB. But you can monitor it from ABAP stack.

  • Message processing not visible in RWB Message monitoring

    Hi Experts,
There is an issue where messages are visible at ABAP Stack(SXMB_MONI).But same messages are not visible at RWB Message monitoring Integration server(IE and AE) Level.
Previously adapter status for this scenarios was Inactive in integration directory we taught this could be the issue and made adapter status active in Integration Directory. This did not solve the issue.
When payload is taken and processed from test message tab under RWB-Component monitoring-Integration Engine.
Messages are visible in RWB Message monitoring.
Experts could you please help in finding out what could be the issue,Please let me know if any additional information is required,
    Thanks in Advacne,
    Seshu.K

There is an issue where messages are visible at ABAP Stack(SXMB_MONI).But same messages are not visible at RWB Message monitoring Integration server(IE and AE) Level.
Check if you have chosen the Status filter as ALL and not "Error".
If you are loking for old messages, then you will not be able to see succesful messages beyond a particular period in the past, since all the succesful messages would have been archived.
To see such messages, you have to choose, the option, show message from "Archive" and not "Database".

  • PI 7.11 - Configuration: Adapter Engines Not found

    Hi,
We have a PI 7.11 System that is connected to a central SLD. There are also two PI 7.0 systems connected to this SLD. If i open a communicationChannel i get following message:
Adapter Engines Not foundNo SLD elements of type SAP_XIAdapterFramework found
If i look in the SLD Technical Systems (Exchange Infrastructure), i see the three PI systems but only the Adapter Engines of the two PI 7.0 systems.
How can i check if the adapter engine is up and running and if it has correctly been registered by my SLD. Are there any documentation according this configuration?
    Thanks in advance

It seems adapter engine is not registered properly. For more details, please refer to the following sap notes:

  • Adapter Engines not found

    Hello All,
I am doing a file to Idoc scenario. When I open the communication channel that I created, there is a warning message popping up as below:
    Adapter Engines Not Found
Unable to find associated SLD element for specified class (source element: SAP_XIIntegrationServer, [CreationClassName, SAP_XIIntegrationServer, string, Name, IntegrationServer.pid.svdud01, string], target element class: SAP_BusinessSystem)
Any idea on this issue techies?
    Thank you.
    Ramesh.

    Thank you all.
I have been checking all possibilities.
I tried to do the cache connectivity test in thr runtime workbench, but it throws the following error:
Attempt to fetch cache data from Integration Directory failed; cache could not be updated
[Fetch Data]: Error while consolidating data
[Data Evaluation]: Couldn't parse Configuration Data cache update XML string from Directory.
I checked the technical and business systems for the PI system and they are maintained correctly.
    Any more ideas ?
    Many thanks.

  • SOAP messages not visible in RWB - Message Monitoring - Adapter Engine

    Hi,
    following scenario:
ERP is sending IDocs to PI.
Within PI an integration process sends the IDoc data through a SOAP (WS) receiver channel to a system far far away.
In RWB -> Communication Channel Monitoring I can see all delivered messages selecting my SOAP channel.
    But:
I can´t see the SOAP messages in RWB -> Message Monitoring -> Messages of Adapter Engine.
In RWB -> Message Monitoring -> Messages of Integration Engine I only see SOAP messages with status "Error".
    Successful column is empty.
Do I have to adjust some system / monitoring parameters also seeing SOAP messages in RWB->Message Monitoring?
    Thanks in advance,
    André

    Hi Ravi,
    thanks.
But there are thousands of successful messages delivered to the receiver.
These successful messages can only be seen in the Channel Monitoring.
I can´t find these successful messages in Message Monitoring.
Only some with status "Error" are displayed.
    Strange...
    Cheers,
    André

  • Adapter Monitoring not visible

    Hi,
I am not able to view Adapter Monitoring page in RWB. Rest all the pages from RWB are visible. Even in Message Monitoring option, under Adapter Engine, I am not able to see the details of message.
I want to check status messages in receiver adapter. I have a file to mail scenario, in which file is picked up properly, I am able to see the successful message translation in SXMB_MONI. However, I am not receiving mail to my mailbox. I am not able to track the problem because I cannot view Adapter Monitoring page.
Please let me know possible solutions to this one.
    Thanks,
    Bhavish

Please look for the Channel Monitoring in XI 3.0 RWB. Adaptors are now part of channel monitoring in XI 3.0 now.
Also note that XI have two type of adaptors ( Adaptors handled by J2EE Server and Adaptor handled by the Integration Server) RWB is only the J2EE side and if the adaptor belong to that category you will see the adaptor status in channel monitoring, otherwise note.
To get the bottom line of it, go to XI Cache using SAP GUI, update the XI cache (complete update) Look into the cache entries for communication channels, check the type it should be CAE (Central Adaptor Engine), if it is IS( Integration Server) you will not see that adaptors messages in RWB.
    Thanks
    Thanks

  • Non-central adapter engine not visable in integration builder

    ls,
I have a pi system and a separate non-central adapter engine. After installing i did all the post actions including the following part:
5.13 Clearing the SLD Data Cache after Installing a Non-central Advanced Adapter Engine
When you have installed a non-central Advanced Adapter Engine, you need to manually clear the SLD Data Cache in the Integration Builder to make it visible and selectable in the communication channels.
    Procedure
    1.
After SAPinst has finished, open the Integration Builder of your PI system at http://<host>:<port>/dir/start/index.jspIntegration Directory and logon as a user with the ABAP role SAP_XI_CONFIGURATOR assigned.
    2.
In the Integration Builder, choose Environment.
    3.
From the drop-down list, choose Clear SLD Data Cache.
(as described in: Installation GuideAdapter Engine (Java EE) 7.1 Including Enhancement Package 1 on Windows: MS SQL ServerTarget)
However when creating a communication channel in the integration builder there is only the central adapter engine to choose in parameter tab screen.
I was hoping maybe some-one knows what else need to be done to make de non-central known as adapter engine.
    thanks in advance
    Peter

    HI,
with user PIDIRUSER i was indeed able to refresh the af cache. Unfortunately without a positive
Under the runtime workbench (http://<host>:<port>0/rwb/index.jsp) tab sld registration i don't see the ae neither under non-central components. If i try to register i get:
Registration of Adapter Framework with SLD was successful
Registration of fix AF adapter services with the SLD was successful
Registration of dynamic CPA cache based AF adatper services with SLD was successful
but no AAE...although it is visible in the SLD under technical systems...

  • Adapter Engine link disapperead from RWB - component monitoring screen

    Hi.
    I restarted PI.
After that, the "adpter engine" line (link) disapperead from the page RWB - component monitoring.
PI is running, it is exchanging data with Ecc and Thirdy Party systems.
How to solve the problem ?
    To arrive to "defective" screen:
http://host:5xx00/rwb/index.jsp  --> component monitoring --> component with status all --> display
Under domain xx, under integration server, there is no adapter engine line/link
    Thanks !

    HI,
Check in SLD-> content maintenence-> XI adapter framework is registered or not...
If not thn register by performing  the action as follows:
    1. In the J2EE administrator tool in cluster - server - services - deploy
(application view), stop the J2EE applications:
    a. sap.com/com.sap.aii.af.service.cpa.monitor
    b. sap.com/com.sap.aii.af.
    2. Restart the sap.com/com.sap.aii.af application.
    have a look on this...

  • Adapter Engine URL missing in RWB

    Hi All,
In my newly configured PI 7.0 system, the Adapter Engine URL is missing at the fol. location:
RWB -> Component Monitoring -> Adapter Engine -> Test Message.
But when I open SXI_CACHE -> AE Cache, I am able to see the url http://pidev:50000/MessagingSystem/receive/AFW/XI
I think that this means that my ABAP stack is configured properly, but JAVA stack has some problem for Adaptr engine.
Please confirm if I am right and how to resolve this.
    regards,
    Piyush

    Hi,
    Are you using the FQHN?
Check also note #764176 if you have components missing on SLD.
Last, you may want to configure your system in order to check each of the steps.
Use this link -> Wizard-Based Basic Configuration:

  • Number of retries in Adapter Engine not working ok in SP18

    Hi
We recently upgraded to SP18 from SP13 on our XI 3.0 Dev env. After upgrade , the number of error retries on the adapter engine is set to the default values as
    xiadapter.inbound.numberRetries.default = 3
    xiadapter.inbound.retryInterval.default = 300000 [ms]
    xiadapter.outbound.numberRetries.default = 3
    xiadapter.outbound.retryInterval.default = 300000 [ms]
In RWB, we find that the number of retries in case of a database update error - goes up to two hours - instead of ending at 15 minutes -
The number of retries - gets incremented to 2 in the sixth minute, but remains at 2 for nearly 2 hours - and then turns to 3 and ends .
Anybody face this problem in XI 3.0 SP18 - any known OSS notes applied to fix this issue - Correct answers to be rewarded rightaway.

Have you seen alreay these notes:

  • ADAPTER engine not found in runtime work bench

    Hi Experts,
I am not able to see the adapter engine in the component monitoring in  RWB .
What may be the probelm ?
Thanks in advance and best regards,
    Anil

    Hi Anil,
The adapter needs to register itself in SLD.
For this there is template task which should have done this automatically. If not the Basis team could trigger the self-registration of adapter engine in visual admin.
For more info refer to the link

  • Adapter engine not found in Integration Directory

    Hello All,
We are having a new server installation. The problem I am having is in Integratin Directory --> Communication Channel, no option for Adapter Engine is present in the drop down. I have checked the following options:
    1) SAP BASIS Component with Adapter Mata data is present in Repository.
    2) In SLD, Content Maintenance, class XI Integration Server. There are 3 associated objects (the last column).  XI Sub-System viewed application system is also present.
    3) The Technical and Business Systems are already created for XI Integration Server in SLD.
I have also suggested the blog /people/venugopalarao.immadisetty/blog/2007/03/15/adapter-engine-cannot-be-found-in-integration-directory , to the Basis team, however the problem still persits.
Kindly suggest how we can resolve the issue and start executing our scenarios.
