Add a blank in webi cross tab

Hi all,
I have a webi cross tab and need to add a blank line in line 3, line 7 and line 9 etc (not regular pattern). How can I do that? If I use the insert row below, webi will add blank row for each line. Please help.

Since web intelligence uses row level aggregation for calculations , there is a restriction in creating a new row like u said, unlikely column insertion has no restrictions. we cannot insert by our own pattern.

Count from Cross TAB1 should add to Line Number in Cross TAB 2 in 1 report

Hello Friends I have 2 cross Tab1 based on 2 query data providers. I need to feed calculate the Count of Items in Cross Tab1 and add that to line Number in Cross TAB2 which sit below cross tab1
So if there are 21 items in Cross TAB1 then Line Number in Cross TAB 2 shall be 22
so do this i Created a count variable
=Count([Item ID]) In Report
which give me 21 in cross tab1 but when I drag that to cross tab2 it give junk value 179
so How do I fix this Line number Count in Cross Tab 2
Please help with code to say Count([Item ID]) In Report from cross tab1 and add Line Number to it = 22

Add a new column to Cross tab.

Hi all,
I have a rtf template
Where I have a cross tab,
Product Code as row header and Month as column header(Jan,Feb,......Dec) and Quantity as measure.
I need to add Product name right beside the Product code column.. I am not sure how I do this in cross tab. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I don´t know I you know that you can easily drag something (a node) from your data view (what comes from the backend) and drop it onto your form layout. This way the editor will generate everything for you. That means, you shoud:
- delete the current table
- drag and drop the new one (if the context knows already a new field)
And that should be it. Like 10 seconds action. But you should probably copy your form and experiment with the copy.

Need Help Trying to Populate Cross Tab in SAP BO WEBI

I know in MS Excel I can Drop Data into the Row and Column Label and get the following Cross Tab:
                                      HouseA     HouseB     HouseC
Elevator Bank One     1
Elevator Bank Two                                      1
Elevator Bank Three                               1
I truly how this makes sense and if it doesn't, I understand and will keep looking.
I need in SAP WEBI to be able to do the same thing.
I have the Cross Tab created in Webi, but can't see how to populate the Rows of Elevator Banks to display which houses have Elevator banks.
I want to show Elevator Bank 1 is in House A, Elevator Bank Two is in House B     as well as Eleveaotr Bank Three begin in House B
This is just an example.
Trying to Populate the Webi Cross Tab is driving me crazy.
I have the Lay out but can't populate the data.
The data contact is Alpha Characters, but I want just the Numeric Values
When I go to MS Excel 2007 and Pivot this, I drop down the Eleveators into the Rows and Drop the Houses into the Column as well as the Value and the numerical values populate for me.
Can't for the life of me figure out how it works in SAP WEBI
Again, I hope this makes sense and if not, I'll keep looking.

Issue resolved.
I needed to created a message for HouseA, B and C which provided the item count needed
Something like the following:
Measure One
Occupied: =Count([Elevator Bank One]) Where ([House A]="Occupied")
Measure Two
Vacant: =Count([Elevator Bank Two]) Where ([HOUSE B]="Vacant")
Measure Three
Unknown: =Count([Elevator Bank Three]) Where ([HOUSE C)]="UNKNOWN")

Shared Var in Cross-Tab Design

I have a cross-tab design that requires me to used shared var from a subreport. The SV formulas are not in my available fields in cross-tab wizard. What other choices are there?
I am creating a summary financial statement that requires information from multi tables - because they are not directly related I am creating SV's to get the info I need. Any ideas welcome. THANKs

I'm having a similar problem. I've created two variables in the main report
PLACE:
WhilePrintingRecords;Shared StringVar VPNum;VPNum
VENDPROD:
WhilePrintingRecords;{@Place}
I can insert VENDPROD into my cross-tab but the field is blank. On the details line, boty PLACE and VENDPROD display the correct (string) values. I've placed the Cross-Tab in both the Report Header and Report Footer sections and the VENDPROD field is always blank in the cross-tab. What am I doing wrong?

Problem with Cross Tab in Live Office Connectivity

Hi Experts,
I am using Live Office Connectivity to build a Xcelsius Dashboard.
The webi Report has data in 4 cross tabs which comes to Xcelsius as 4 LO Connections.
The size of the Xcelsius Doc is around 900K. I am getting "Xcelcius has stopped working " error when i preview the document.
Earlier i have built dashboards on Webi Report which used Verticle tables(more than 1 MB in size). I am able to preview them and generate SWF without any problem.
I am working on Xcelsius SP3 on Vista OS with 2 GB RAM.
Is using Cross Tab, responsible for the Application Crash or any other reason?
Please help me in solving the above problem at the earliest.
Please let me know if you need any further information on the same.

Webi cross tabs via Live Office connection should work. Pls see this [post|Re: Does Xcelsius support Cross Tab report via Live Office?; for more detail.
Pls let me know what version of Xcelsius you are using because this error is known to popup when some of the dlls are not registered as well.

Cross tab in Crystal report

I need to create 3 cross tabs in one crystal report with different condition, how i can do that?
for example, in one cross tab, i only want to show last year's information, in another one, i want to show this year's information

I think what Ian means is....
Right now you have you cross tab set this way..
                       2008         2009
Location1
Location2
Location3
He wants you to switch rows to cloumns and make the Year your first Group.
Then you'll have
                 Location1       Location2          Location3
2008
2009
This way all your locations show up in your cross-tab.
Hope this makes sense....

How to display recordnumber for each row in cross tab?

Dear Kathryn, I did used DisplayString as suggested by you. The result work fine until I add more data to this cross tab. I used this formula : global numbervar pager;recordnumber();pager := pager + 1; if pager > 0 then totext(pager - 1,0) The result come out in decending order for each row. Cross Tab Formatting a summarized field

I have a field that is summerized in my crosstab. However, I want to be able to take that number and format it in HH:MM:SS and am having difficulty accomplishing this. In my drill down reports I was able to do this with ease. Could someone help me out in this regard?

I have a dashboard which collects data via Live Office from a series of Webi documents and Crystal Reports. I have found that if I create a report that has for instance sales regions down the left and months across the top using a cross tab in either Crystal Reports or as a Webi the data will only refresh within the current month, so for instance if I create the report in October the sales figure for October will update happily until the last day of the month but on the first of November no sales figures will show in the new month and I have to manually refresh the report in Xcelsius and issue a new Dashboard to my users. This makes me wonder whether Cross Tab reports are actually supported via Live Office. If I use formulas in Crystal Reports and manually build a report that looks like this but uses formulas it works fine, but is obviously a much slower process than simply building a Webi cross tab.

You can bind cross tab reports from your WebI reports into Xcelsius using an integration tool called[ Xcelsius Web Intelligence Intregration Suite|http://www.antivia.com/products-xcelsius.stm].
This will give you the full functionality of Web Intelligence inside an Xcelsius dashboard- drill-down, cross tabs, even an ad hoc query panel, all bound into the Xcelsius interface.
This would remove the need to use QaaWs or Live Office, so you can probably realize some performance gains and handle larger data volumes.

Is there a way to display the zero(0) or null values in cross tab format in
webi. I can able to display in Regular tabular format in Webi as u got an option
in Properties --> Display --> Show all rows/columns, but it is not working when
i am using Cross Tab format for the same data.

So now we need to get the rows or columns that are having blank values. Say like if Crop Buss is not having any values so it wont be displayed, but actually it has to be displayed.

I have a cross Tab. I display the items on the left column and the months horizontally, the items are grouped by category field. The values are the sum of quantities are displayed for each month. Like this:

The problem, I want to add a page header for each page of the report.
When Crystal reports first displays my cross-tab in the designer, CR displays the cross tab in the Report header section. I d like to add text or image for each page and not only at the begining of my Cross-Tab.
If I just add an image or text at the top of the report designer, which is my report header, I get the image or text only on the begining of the 1st page of my report but never in the other following pages.
If I try to work around the problem and move the cross Tab to a group section instead, and then put the Image in the group header, I get what I want, but the problem is that:
The columns header: Jan, February....December are displayed for each group of my report and not only in the beginning of the report. I get something like this:

Hi Divya,
you could do for example in the wdDoInit() of the view
wdContext.currentContextElement().setPicture("picture.gif");
Now you assign this context variable to the Tab using the Tab_header's imageSource-Property. When you click on its value column, you see a button with three dots on it. If you click on this button, you will get all context nodes and attributes for this View. Usable variables are clearly marked, you now choose the one named Picture or what ever name you prefer to use. But it must correspond to the one set in the wdDoInit.
I think setting a picture (not necessarily for the tab-page) is done in one of the excellent tutorials. If you are a newcomer I strongly recommend doing some of the tutorials. I have learned tremendously from them.

Add ratio column in Cross Tab

I am young of Crystal Report. I have some problems with using cross tab report.
Rows: hour/Floor, Columns: Floor, Summarized Field: Sales
I want to show the result as below:
hour/Floor_____________ Floor1___________Floor2__________Total________Ratio
7h-10h _____________ $500 ___________ $1000 __________$ 1500______75%

I want to add Ratio to show on the right after Total Column.
Can I do like this or not? Or Is there another way to do that with the same result?
