Add long variable to a collection

I have a long variable
long userIDand need to add it to a collection object
Collection users = new ArrayList();
users.add(userID);but i get this error. How can I make it compatible ?

Autoboxing is a double-edged sword.Can you list these bad things?Well performance for one. If you start thinking that List<Integer> is just a flexible version of int[] then you could get in trouble. I think that actually happened recently. Someone was loading/processing an image of some sort using Lists of Integers.
It's obviously not the auto-boxing itself that's the issue in that case, but just that it hides from the unaware the wrapping etc that is going on.
A second one is that are some rather byzantine rules regarding autoboxing when it comes to Generics and overloading and a few other things that can cause you unexpected results if you aren't careful.
Personally I think that the first is more of a problem as it can catch neophyte programmers but the second can lead to more bizarre results when it happens. I don't think either of these make a good case against auto-boxing to be honest though. Like many things in programming, not knowing what you are doing can make X dangerous but that doesn't really mean that X is bad, it just means that you or someone doesn't know what they are doing.

How do I add a variable into an object as xml

I have a xml document with 2 protection order numbers. I want to get the information for one of them which is **protectionOrderNumber="1400042"**. I would like to add strPoNumber variable to the object objXmlCaseDoc. Inside this object is the xml
that was read and put inside the object. I want at the beginning of the xml code inside the objXmlCaseDoc to add the protectionOrderNumber at the end of the first line. This should be added at the beginning of the xml document. In my object (objXmlCaseDoc)
there is no variable strPoNumber. This is why I want to add it at the top. The object has xml document in it.

HOW TO ADD NEW VARIABLE DATAS ON ALV REPORT

now i want to add this variable on first line OF ALV REPORT.
that is i should get LIKE THIS.

The scenario is that I have to create a formula (contract end date-current date) and have to display the result using exeption to highlight the contracts ending in 30-60 days.
The problem is that the info provider does not have any infoobject for date(only valid to and validity start date)
I have created a formula variable on valid to date using replacement path. But dont have any variable to use for current date.
The only time char in the cube is Fiscal yera variant.
How should I go futher creating such formula? Shall I user customer exit variable? But I dont have any date char to create on.
Can you shed some light on this problem

Add photos to a specific Collection from Survey view?

When I'm doing my edit from a shoot, I often use the Survey view to look at groups of images. Also, I use collections as a way to store selections into future use categories like Contests 2010, Portfolio, etc. In Survey, it seems only possible to add photos to a Quick Collection or view it in an existing collection, but I want to be able to add it to other collections either via drag & drop or by contextual menu. Is this possible to do this and if not, is this something other users find useful enough to add as a feature request?

I think the drag and drop would be difficult to implement as all the images in Survey View have to be targeted.
However, if one had the ability to set more than one target collection rather than a single collection or the Quick Collection I think that could be useful for organizing while in Survey View. Just as we can change the meaning of the color labels we could be able to select say, five different collections and assign a target shortcut to them. So whie in survey view (or any view for that matter) I could hit 22 and the image)s) would be added to any collection I deemed to have a target of 22. Add the shift key so as not to confuse with Ratings.
Currently I cannot suggest a simpler way for you since you state that you are in Survey View. A feature request? Sure go ahead and make one.

You can't install more storage space later. You get 30 days (I believe) to decide if you are unhappy with a phone and return it for a refund. After that there is no trade-in option. You have to see if you can sell it (tricky) and buy a new one.

Can't Add One Image to a Collection

I have one image in a catalog folder that I have been trying to move to a collection. I have selected it and waving my mouse over the collection I right-click and select add selected image to the collection: nothing happens. I even selected two images did the same and one was added but this wasn't. It is not in the collection already. Has anyone had this happend to them?

Perhaps Lightroom was still active on a previous request? Sometimes when I'm assigning or reordering keywords and the like, it takes LR a minute to catch up. I've learned to keep an eye on the progress bar upper left. LR does seem to keep requests in memory to some degree.
If you're a visually oriented person like me, you'll probably be browsing that image someday soon, and "pop!" you'll remember it's the one you wanted to move.

I am attempting to extract and loop through some XML that is stored in a variable (v_xml_string) that is defined as LONG data type. However, I am receiving an ORA-01460: unimplemented or unreasonable conversion requested when the string value exceeds 20 records in the XML layout below. When I performed a LENGHTB on a sample XML string containing 19 records (just below the threshold of erroring), I get 3895, which I'm assuming is in BYTES...this is not near the 32,760 byte limit of PL/SQL variables defined as LONG. I suppose my other alternative is that I use CLOB datatype instead of LONG.

Strings in SQL are limited to 4000 in length, the long variable will work up to 32K as long as it is not used in SQL, if it goes over 4000 you will get the error.

Hey jpvans,
I would first suggest using NI-VISA to talk to the serial port. Then, you can use the LabVIEW Type Cast or the Flatten to String and UnFlatten From String VIs to convert the data.
You can setup the read so that it reads just two characters at a time to form an individual long or you can set the read up to read it all and then use the string functions like String Subset to cut the information into chunks.

There are more than one ways of doing this.
The best option is to create a freely definable attribute (Spro --- APO >> Master data >> Freely definable attributes) at material location level and now you will automatically be able to see the attribute when your create a selection id. But you have to make sure you add logic in your material cIF user exit or create a custom program in APO to populate the desired values for the freely definable attribute for all materials in the selection

Since this problem, I was able to reinstall again and reboot, and then 'stop' while the library was being opened (that was another window that I could not close, that would come up before the error message, this time I chose to stop it). Now only music I have purchased appears, none of my other >1,000 albums I manually added via my CD collection. About 10% are in different music folders (I don't know why they aren't in the same one), but the other 90% are missing. Any ideas??
