Hello..
Let me define my final goal: building a modern spectrum analyzer by the SR-760 model.
The Problem:
i need to add a MARKER to the Spectrum graph output.
MARKER mean that in the real spectrum analyzer there is a "turning scroll button" that you rotate it and on the screen you see a cursor running on the Spectrum lines
( all the cursors and markers in this forum relate to the graph itself, regarding the lines that display on the graph...)
my question: how do i add a cursor to the graph that change accordinly to the signal displayed on the graph??
basicly i would love to get any information about this subject - for instance, later on i need to add a "Next Peak" button - that related to the signal as well..
hope i was clear abot the question.
another example - Let say i have a 3 sin wave in different frequencies. fft(signal) -> result 3 main harmonic,
display on the graph - three impulse.
marker cruise on the signal lines on the graph , and on the side display each time what is the x value and y value.
later adding next peak button and now each time you press it the cursor jumps between the impulses..

Seems like you want a cursor that is locked to a plot.
Here's a quick example (LV 8.5.1) where you can pick the plot # and cursor X with controls and it will give you the corresponding Y. Modify as needed.

Why is "Add Marker" dimmed?

I'm finally getting around to learning Garageband (I say "finally" because the whole reason I switched from PC to Mac was to use Garageband -- and that was a year and a half ago!) and I'm trying to 'mark' a spot on a track, but when I go to "Edit...Add Marker," that item is dimmed and I can't place the marker. What step am I missing?

Well, for starters, I'm not doing a podcast.
And the track that I am trying to mark is showing (or at least I think it is. I mean, I can see it on the screen... )

Premier Pro CC 2014 - Add Marker Suggestion

Not sure your common uses on this Add Marker that is on the toolbar above the video editing pane but it would be nice to assign what marker you want by default. I always use Add Chapter Marker mostly myself so it would be nice to be able to change what the Add Marker is instead of right clicking on the video preview window and selecting Add Chapter Marker. It would save me 2 actions to get to the Add Chapter Marker by allowing me to specify what the Add Marker will be.

Also...
Add to right click menu of timelines an entry for "go to next keyframe" and "go to last keyframe" a la After Effects, we should also be able to assign a kb shortcut to this.
There are buttons on either side of the create keyframe button to advance forward or backward in the effects control panel or timeline.
You can also advance forward or backward in the effects control window by holding shift while dragging the playhead.
Allow copy/paste of selection of audio/video effects, not just one at a time. Sure we can copy/paste attributes but since we can also copy/paste effects it would only make sense to allow to copy/paste a selection of effects.
I guess I don't get this one. If I have 5 effects on a clip, I can simply command-click on the ones I want to copy over to the other clip.

Can anyone tell me what the 'add marker' feature is used for in iMovie 10, I cant find any documentation on it anywhere, it doesnt even show under the help menu???

Markers overview
Markers are reference points you can place within clips to locate, identify, annotate, and navigate to specific frames. In editing, markers are particularly useful for synchronizing two or more clips at a specific point. so, maybe, this indicates some forthcoming features in iMovie (wohooo, speculation!)?
(iMovieX indicates some forthcoming features of next FCPX.1… but this is another story)
There's one meaningful use, which comes to my mind:
Edit to the beat:
While your project is playing, you can 'tap' onto the M key…
and not just 'per beat', but more like 'dancing', highlights, pauses, drama…
In a second step, you can use the dots, to find the perfect point for edit.

Well guys, I have my graph, and my X-scale is 1sec
I want to add 10 markers on that
each marker in 100ms!
How can I make that?
I know how to add marker, but I have to add it with mouse... so don't help me with that
since I need some precision!

I'm not certain that I know what you're looking for, but this might contain something useful to you. The first property sets the format of the X axis as you described and the second sets the one-second range you mentioned. Perhaps you could post a picture of what you're trying to do?

Add marker to Google Map

Hi there. I am creating an iPad app with In Design CS5.5. I want to add a link from an image with a button to a Google map showing where the image was taken. I can successfully add the map and load it but I cannot find out how to add the marker showing the exact location. I also want earth view to appear rather than street maps. Hope somebody can help. Full Screen Playback + Add Marker Q

Is there a way to add a marker while watching in full screen? Previously I was able to do this by tapping M as I watched, then I could go back and add any notes to each marker location in the Browser clip or Sequence. Doesn't seem to work with 10.0.5, but maybe I'm missing something.

Cannot add Marker to one subclip only

Yes, even I get stuck sometimes...
So, my assistant is taking master clips and breaking them up into subclips (something we always do), and then adding markers to those subclip that paraphrase what the interview subject is talking about.
She was happily marking along when...it suddenly wouldn't let her do it. Not by pressing M, not by going to the menu and adding them. It said something about the clip being locked. So she restarted the computer. She tried it again...no error, but she still couldn't add markers. She opened another clip and added markers all over the place...no problem. Just this one, she couldn't do it.
So she trashed preferences, restarted and...still can't. Any clue?

ProRes 1080i29.97. Captured from HDV using a Kona card.
Sequence settings match...but the clip isn't in a sequence yet...this is in the Viewer.
We didn't upgrade anything, as we are mid project.
And I am making a living wage on this project....so there. THPHTHPHTHPH!
I am thinking it is a corrupt clip, as no other clips have this issue, so I am having my slav...er...assistant redo the markers and copy/paste the text from the old.

Is there an way to (easily) add a marker (preferably numbered) to the in-point of each clip in my timeline?

Exchange 2013 PF. Add mark as reponsed when user change Category

Hello,
I have public folders with e-mail enabled adress.
When the user open the public folder in his Outlook 2007 & Outlook 2013, and change the Category, Exchange add a mark as this email is responsed.
This can be worse if the folder have an autoresponse added. The "from" remitent address will receive 2 autoresponses, one when he send the mail for first time, and another when WE change the category of his e-mail.

Add / Mark favorites to new bar in Safari IOS7

Can someone tell me how to add a new "favorite" in Safari IOS7?
I removed the standard Disney / Yahoo websites in the new bar but don't know how to mark an other website ( with a Star )
I'm sure it is quite simple ............ Thanx for any suggestions.

To add it to favourites tap the icon of the square with the upward pointing arrow to the left of the URL field, then tap Bookmark, tap Location and select Favourites (which should be at the top of the left).
