Addes servlet.jar but still doesn't compile

I'm building a servlet and therefor I added the servlet.jar file in my java/lib directory. After changing the classpath (adding the path to the lib directory), my servlet still doesn't compile. What could be wrong?

to add a jar to the classpath, you must add the full path to the jar, for example java/lib/servlet.jar

If so, what happens when you try to download? Is it a case of nothing happens? If so, take a look at the suggestions under 'Stalled Download' in this link:

Also, some usrs have found that logging out of the Mac App Store and then back in again and starting over has kick-started the download. It seems that the 5+gb download can take a long time to give any feedback as to what's happening.

It sounds like you were using your Wi-Fi network from your Airport base station and the connection cut out. You have reset the password on the device but the issue persists. I would try the 3 resets outlined in the following article in order to help resolve the issue. If it persists, is the Wi-Fi connection issue happening on more than one device or computer?

When I open Creative Cloud there is only a thinking wheel and nothing else. I have downloaded it again but still doesn't work. I want Lightroom and it keeps saying I need this to download it.

1.If internet is fine then this might be becase of Creative cloud files, please try the steps metioned in http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/unknown-server-error-launchin g-cc.html and see if it works.
2.Please navigate to ~/Library/Application Support/Adobe/OOBE/opm.db and trash it. Try to launch CC desktop and sign in with your Adobe Id (http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/global/access-hidden-user-library-f iles.html) .
{Note for step 2: The file is in the user Library, not the Applications folder. To see the hidden user Library (not the system Library) in the Finder click on the Gomenu item and then hold down the Alt / Option key. You will see Library appear between Home and Computer. Click onLibrary and then navigate toApplication Support > Adobe > OOBE.
Alternatively open the Terminal and paste in the following and then press the Enter / Return key:
rm ~/Library/Application\ Support/Adobe/OOBE/opm.db, This will also delete the file}

Place the iPod in recovery mode after the firmware download is complete and then restore using the instructions in the article. Sometimes recovery mode timeouts and returns to disabled before the firmware download is complete.
- Then try on another computer

Media Encoder, yes I know its been covered b4 but still doesn't work

I'm having the typical
"Encoding Failed. Could not read from the source" and I've tried the things explained here http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/407/kb407106.html. The catch is, this is a brand new install of Adobe Production Suite on a brand new computer. It was working perfectly fine for about a month or so, but then one day, nothing. No updates were run and no new software installed. I've a few other things that some members have posted but still nothing works. Very frustrating because I do this for work and have deadlines. Any one have any ideas. The only thing I can think that it could possibly be is that I upgraded to Flash 10 about a week b4 the problems started occurring. Otherwise, it doesn't work on files that have been moved around a little bit but "relocated" when asked where the files are, but it also doesn't work on files that have stayed put the whole time.

Details...hmm... all of the adobe products have been updated to the 4.2.something, whatever is the newest version. Lets see... i7 920 w/ 12GB ram, 3HDD (1 scratch, 1 OS, 1 data). Windows 7 Ult. 64-bit (no available updates).
Some details of the problem... I was using handbrake to rip some marketing material and was able to edit them in PPro, but as soon as I tried to encode them, that when the problems started, I assumed that it was because of the file format that I encoded with in handbrake. Anyways, I had to edit the video in Windows Movie Maker, then took the WMV and dropped it into Media Encoder and was able to encode to the proper media format then. Anyways, I got the side project done, then went back to my projects. I edit interviews on the green screen, encode alpha channel, and throw them up on websites. So I did my normal stuff, but now when I encode, or try, I always get the error from media encoder listed below.

I had moved the first video I tried editing after the side project, but any videos that were in their place before all this happened are getting the same error.

Installed updated Flash Player but still doesn't work

I have Windows Vista 32 bit. I was promtped to update my adobe flash player so I did. I installed the updated version of adobe flash player for internet explorer but it still won't work for me. I tried the Troubleshoot Flash Player information on the adobe site but still can't get it to work. Please Help!!!!

Downloaded Flash Player update but still doesn't work!

Hi I have downloaded several times the new update for Flash Player and every time I go on to watch iPlayer it still asks to download the software. I have done the instructions about 6 times now and its really annoying! Its a Mac laptop - can anyone help???

Yes I downloaded it and installed it. I have also uninstalled Flash Player and reinstalled it and yet it still doesn't recognise it.

Flashing '?' switches to 'Happy Mac' but still doesn't boot

I recently had to reinstall OS X. After successfully doing so, everything works fine, including Classic. But when I try to boot into OS 9.2.2, I get the flashing question mark for about a minute, then it switches to the 'Happy Mac' icon, and I assume it will boot... but it doesn't. It just sits there. A re-install of OS 9.2.2/Classic was successful, but it hasn't changed the problem.
I never encountered this before, even in the 'old' days of OS 6, 7, and 8.
Any ideas?

A couple of thoughts come to mind...
1) When you re-installed OSX and Classic, did you first reformat the drive? If so, perhaps the option to install OS 0 drivers was not selected during the formatting process. If the OS 9 drivers are not installed on a volume, OS 9 can not mount the volume - and this includes being able to use it as a boot volume.
2) Is it possible the OS 9 System Folder is not blessed? In OS 9 the 'blessed' status is indicated by a glyph of the Mac OS being superimposed on a standard folder icon; not sure whether OSX does the same, or if you have to find that status info elsewhere.
One other possibility, perhaps. If you have added any non-original hardware to the machine, hardware that requires proprietary software in order to be used in OS 9, if that software has not been re-installed in OS 9 then the machine may balk at booting to OS 9.

JNLP: Signed jars but still not trusted

I have an applet that has signed jars that were signed by the same key, the applet shows the correct warnings on startup and works fine (allows access to the local file system, etc), however there still exists the 'yellow triangle warning' on one of two popups frames that the applet produces (but not the other one).
The applet does use native code (packaged in a signed jar and referenced in the JNLP). The jars are all signed by the same certificate from a CA. I originally didn't have the JNLP signed (by placing it in the main jar in JNLP-INF/APPLICATION.JNLP) but this didn't help. Also I didn't have the JNLP codebase set to a real URL (and really cant in production because its a solution we deploy to customers servers - its packaged software not hosted) but even after I tested with a codebase to a test server, it still didnt remove the famed yellow triangle. I have all-permissions set in the JNLP.
So two related questions:
1) Other than having not having signed jars (or not signed correctly), what other reasons cause the 'yellow triangle'?
2) The warning only appears on one of the popup Frames. What could be the possible reasons for that? Are there some privileges that show the icon whether the applet is signed or not?
Note: While changing the client policy setting (showWindowWithoutWarningBanner) works, this cant be a solution.
From the Java Console:
...It goes through all the jars (I only included one for brevity - there are 23 of them). Note it says 'have 1 common certificates'.. which I think indicates everything is signed by the same cert.
Is there any indication in the console logs I can use to determine why it is not trusted? It looks (to me) that everything is OK, until it says 'istrusted=false'.

Andrew - of course you were correct about the signed cert - I misspoke when the CA signed applet didn't show a warning. (You were also right that I must have checked 'always accept' the certificate on the server I had the CA signed cert on).
I think you guys are on to something about the privileged actions. It would explain where one popup has the icon and the other doesn't. We have Javascript making calls into the applet and we do use JNI (although I don't think there are any calls back). We do wrap these calls in privileged actions but maybe we missed something. What I've seen before is a security exception is thrown if we don't wrap them - but maybe there are areas where we don't and it doesn't throw an exception or it does and we eat it somehow (and for whatever reason doesn't cause anything noticeable).
Now that I know it could likely be the applet code and not necessarily a build issue with signing the jars, I have another place to look...
I'll check it out and let you know what I find.

Email attachments download as ashx for Microsoft Outlook, instead of jpg, pdf, doc, etc. Tried to fix in Preferences Applications but still doesn't work.

Using MacBook Pro running 10.5.8. Downloaded Firefox 8 on 11/9/11 and now Microsoft Outlook Web App 2010 downloads all email attachments as "attachment.ashx" instead of jpg, pdf, etc. This was not a problem with previous Firefox releases which I've been using for the past couple of years. Can open files if I edit the extension to the proper variety (ashx to jpg for example), but no longer initially automatically opens. Instead I first get a "can't open this file" message. Attempted to fix in Firefox > Preferences > Applications by indicating the proper "Actions" for various "Content Types" but this had no effect. Chrome and Safari browsers still work properly. How can I fix this?

Hi, I quitted Safari and press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons silmutaneously unti the Ipad turn off and on with the logo Apple appears but it has hanged on and fixed to the point. It was given to me by someone that spilt a drink on it and they dried it but went and bought a new one. It finds the ipad but won't sync once I put the code in. I have looked at support etc and they recommend unsnycing from the original computer. But as I have no access for this is there any way I can reset the keyboard to pair my ipad?
