Adding a breakpoint results in Exception

When I try to add a breakpoint, I get a NullPointerException at
org.netbeans.modules.debugger.support.DebuggerSupport.addBreakpoint(DebuggerSupport.java:450)
Using the menu or the button, I get the dialog "Add Breakpoint", before. Clicking on the margin throws the exception directly.
I tried j2sdk1.4.0_03 and j2sdk1.4.1_02 ; no difference.
Any thoughts/hints? Am I missing some very basic configuration, here?
Thanks
Ulf

I'm having exactly the same problem again using any version of the SDK and NetBeans 3.6 Build 200404071636.
Similarly I'm thinking this has to be a configuration issue.
Thanks

• Using Simple Transformations with Objects tt:copy .. results in Exception

Question:
How can I serialize an ABAP-Object-Instanz with my own simple transformation?
In the sap-documentation I found the following solution for the serialisation of any data-objects.
"z_steffens_simple_transf":
<?sap.transform simple?>
<tt:transform xmlns:tt="http://www.sap.com/transformation-templates">
<tt:root name="ROOT"/>
<tt:template>
<root>
<tt:copy ref="ROOT"/>
</root>
</tt:template>
</tt:transform>
Following the example I wrote this report:
report  zspahr_test_simple_transf.
class serializable definition.
public section.
interfaces if_serializable_object.
data attr type string value 'Attribute'.
endclass.
method main_serializable.
data: oref type ref to serializable,
xmlstr type xstring.
create object oref.
call transformation id
source root = oref
result xml xmlstr.
call function 'DISPLAY_XML_STRING'
exporting
xml_string = xmlstr.
call transformation z_steffens_simple_object
source root = oref
result xml xmlstr.
call function 'DISPLAY_XML_STRING'
exporting
xml_string = xmlstr.
endmethod.                    "main_
start-of-selection.
demo=>main_serializable( ).
Executing this report leads to an exception "CX_SY_REF_NOT_SUPPORTED".
The "standard" transformation "ID" ist working an translates my object-instance into an asXML representation:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8" ?>
- <asx:abap xmlns:asx="http://www.sap.com/abapxml" version="1.0">
- <asx:values>
<ROOT href="#o3" />
</asx:values>
- <asx:heap xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema" xmlns:abap="http://www.sap.com/abapxml/types/built-in" xmlns:cls="http://www.sap.com/abapxml/classes/global" xmlns:dic="http://www.sap.com/abapxml/types/dictionary">
- <prg:SERIALIZABLE xmlns:prg="http://www.sap.com/abapxml/classes/program/ZSPAHR_TEST_SIMPLE_TRANSF" id="o3">
- <local.SERIALIZABLE>
<ATTR>Attribute</ATTR>
</local.SERIALIZABLE>
</prg:SERIALIZABLE>
</asx:heap>
</asx:abap>
How can I do this with my own Simple Transformation "ZSPAHR_TEST_SIMPLE_TRANSF" ?
I want to serialize my object using my own xml-structure, not the asXML-structure !

Steffen

Hi,
try like this,i think it may help you.
ABAP:
CALL TRANSFORMATION ztrans_test
SOURCE
root = partab
RESULT XML lv_xstring.
Trnsformation:
<tt:root name="ROOT" type="?"/>
<tt:template>

<VALUE_SOURCE>

</VALUE_SOURCE>
<VALUE_PARAM>
<tt:value ref="NAME"/>
<tt:value ref="VALUE"/>
</VALUE_PARAM>
</VALUES>

• I don't accept cookies except from "Exception" domains. However, it seems that any site that want to set a cookie is automatically added to my list of "Exceptions". Why is this?

I have "Accept cookies from sites" unchecked. I have a list of exceptions for domains that I allow to set cookies. However, it seems some site not on my exception list are automatically added to my list when they want to set cookies.
Why/how is this happening?

Hello cor-el, thanks for your reply. I changed my settings for downloads to desktop and it has appeared on there. When I double click I am asked which program I want to open file. I click firefox and another box "opening install" says I have chosen to open the file which is an application and do I want to save it. This is the only real option so I press save file. I get a box saying this is an executable file which may contain viruses - do you want to run. I press ok and the final box showing C drive file name and desktop appears stating application not found.
This happens the same whenever I try to install.
To my untrained eye the application is not being recognised as an application and I cannot work out how to get it to do that.
My plugin is still showing as out of date.
Is there anything you could suggest. Thanks for your time.

• Results of exceptions using CKF differ depending on whether CKF is hidden

I have created a calculated key figure and included it as the criteria for an exception.
When the CKF is visible the exception is correct, however when it's set to 'Always Hide' (with the exception set to calculate before local calculation) the exceptions are coloured incorrectly.
Has anyone else experienced this, and can anyone describe the best way to use a hidden CKF in an exception?
I am using Netweaver 2004s on SPS11.
Many thanks.

Thanks, A_Non,
adding the third parm to the extractvalue part of the query works.
ie:
select extractvalue(value(v),'/Product/@Ind', 'xmlns="http://schemas.myco.nl/services/IPP"' ) ind
, extractvalue(value(v),'/*/@Ind' ) ind2
from xml_messages f
, TABLE(XMLSequence( extract(f.message
,'/Bereken/Reglementen/Reglement/Producten/Product'
,'xmlns="http://schemas.myco.nl/services/IPP"'
))) v
where f.id = 1;
I had not expected this because I thought the xml fragment returned by the extract didnt include the default namespace.
However, when looking at the query in more detail, its clear Oracle automatically includes the xmlns part in the returned xml fragment.
One of the rows in the xml fragment:
<Product xmlns="http://schemas.myco.nl/services/IPP" Ind="1002" ogr="27098.00" bbr="27098.00" igl="65" elt="130" pgs="63758.00" slt="65" plt="0" reg="0" orf="0"/>

• BEx query : results and exceptions

Hi people,
I'm using BI 7.
I've two questions.
In a first part i want to know if i can use an exception in order to color all the line (characteristics + key figures) ?
Because just the key figures are colored with many options I tried.
In a second part, in the same query, i'm using a hierarchy, some characteristics and a key figure.
I want to have a line of results for each hierarchy node (node at the top), and too a line of results for a following field.
Like the following example :
Hierarchy node level 1:A  field1:2 field2:x k_fig:17
global result for field1----k_fig:17
Hierarchy node level 1:A  field1:1 field2:y k_fig:12
Hierarchy node level 1:A  field1:1 field2:x k_fig:3
global result for field1----k_fig:15
global result for hierarchy node level 1-----k_fig:32
Hierarchy node level 1:B  field1:1 field2:z k_fig:4
global result for field1----k_fig:4
global result for hierarchy node level 1-----k_fig:4
I hope you could help me for the two problems.
Points will be assigned,
Cheers,

Nobody has a solution in order to highlight the whole row (characteristic and key figures) for a value of a key figure ?
With WAD or Query Designer, I'm trying to highlight a line with an exception on a key figure but it apparently colors only key figures.
For example i would have entire colored rows for negative key figure :
field1:a field2:x field3:e key_figure:1
field1:b field2:x field3:e key_figure:7
field1:b field2:y field3:e key_figure:-5
field1:d field2:z field3:j key_figure:1
I can use WAD or Query Designer but not Visual Composer or Report Designer...
Thanks for help.

• Custom fields to be added to the result list through AET

Hi All,
I have to add the custom fields to the Result list of the Ibase. I came to know that this can be achieved through the AET(application enhancement tool). I have done the following steps
1. I enabled the AET through personalization settings and i clicked on the show configurable area icon.
2.I have chosen the reult view for which custom field (Zfield) has to be added.
3.One pop-up came, but the 'Create New Field' Button is in disable mode.
Because of this i am not able to add the customi fields to the result list. Please provide me the solution to overcome this issue.
Regards,
Lakshman.P

Hi,
it is not recommended to create custom field manually. Adding a new field in a BOL structure is not enough. Because you need also the field in the database and maybe also in other structures, i.e. Middleware.
As far as I know AET is able to enhance IBASE application. In the Config Tool, AET tries to determine which enhanced business object is relevant for the current application(in your case IBASE application). When AET is able to determine an enhanced business object, it will activate the "Create New Field".
The determination of enhanced business object is based on the UI object type that is set in IBASE application.
You need to make sure 2 points here.
1. IBASE application has to set UI object type. Use tab to get the focus in any button of the view that you want to enhance, than press F2. You will get a popup and it shows a field "Object Type(Searched For)". That is the UI object type which is set by the application.
2. Go to SE11 and open the UI object type table (BSP_DLC_OBJ_TYPE). Search for this object type which is set by the IBASE application and see whether the given result has also an EXT_BO. EXT_BO in this case is the enhanced business object which is used by AET.
If you do not come any further, please create a CSN message.

Steve

• Calling stopApp(String, Map) on J2EEServer instance results in exception

Hi All,
I'm trying to stop a deployed application on SJSAS 8.1 using AMX beans. The specific problem that I am having is that I receive an IllegalArgumentException when I call stopApp(String, Map) on an instance of J2EEServer.
The API documentation for J2EEServer leaves quite a lot to the imagination and as a result I'm not sure if I'm putting the correct information in the Map object. I have tried all sorts of things including passing in null and empty maps but every combination results in the same exception.
The code I am using is as follows:
final String host = "localhost";
final int port = 4867;
final String user = "admin";
final String password = "adminpassword";
final TLSParams tlsParams = null;
final AppserverConnectionSource conn =
new AppserverConnectionSource(AppserverConnectionSource.PROTOCOL_RMI,
host, port, user, password, tlsParams, null);
JMXConnector jmxConn;
DomainRoot dr = null;
J2EEDomain j2eeDomain;
J2EEServer j2eeServer = null;
try
jmxConn = conn.getJMXConnector(false);
dr = conn.getDomainRoot();
j2eeDomain = dr.getJ2EEDomain();
final Map servers = j2eeDomain.getServerMap();
j2eeServer = (J2EEServer) servers.get("sjsas-instance");
catch (IOException ioe)
fail("Test threw an unexpected exception, details: " + ioe.getMessage());
System.out.println("Domain name is: " + dr.getAppserverDomainName());
Map map = new HashMap();
map.put(DeploymentMgr.DEPLOY_OPTION_NAME_KEY, "my-application-name");
j2eeServer.stopApp("spr-adapter", map);The exception that I'm getting is as follows:

• Query user ACL results in exception, PortalException, Invalid pointer AxisFault

Hi,
I am developing a remote portlet application in Java for plumtree portal v 5.0.3, using EDK library v 5.0. The requirement is to determine if the user accessing the application has "Admin" privileges for the portlet or not.. For this, I query User (and all the user's groups) ACL to check if the AccessLevel is Admin. This method seemed to work fine on the development environment but fails on staging environment. I have checked the SOAP-API-URI and other settings like sending Login Tokens etc, and all seems to be fine. The application is written in Java hosted on a UNIX box, while the portal is on Windows environment.
Following is the code where the error occurs:
IPortletContext edk = PortletContextFactory.createPortletContext(request, response); IRemoteSession remoteSession = edk.getRemotePortalSession(); //IRemoteSession remoteSession = RemoteSessionFactory.getTokenContext(edk.getRequest().getRemoteAPIEndpoint(), edk.getRequest().getLoginToken()); -- Tried this but no difference
IPortletManager portletManager = remoteSession.getPortletManager(); logger.debug("Got Remote portal session");

• Can I modify WLI system Bean's transaction attribute --turn on archiver resulting endless exception in log file

hi,erveryone,
one difficult question need help.
Environment: WLS8.1sp2 + WLI8.1sp2 + ORACLE9i + solaris9
when I started archiver manually,just for a while, wli system generated about 40,000 JMS messages in
wli.internal.worklist.timer.queue,and consume the great mass of system resource of Database server,I had to stop these
archive processes immediately to keep other applicaitons which using the same database running normal. I did so by
following steps:
(1) in WLI console, delete wli.internal.worklist.timer.queue;
(2) in WLI console, reconstruct wli.internal.worklist.timer.queue;
(3) restart wli server.
after server was restarted, wli server output endless and repeatly exception to log file ,the typical exception was:

The wli server generated log file very quickly ,:it can output 1M bytes log file per second,all logged information
is similar to the <BEA-010049> excetpion metioned above. BEA support engineer suggested me to totally stop the
archive ,I did so,but the server was still ouput the log file like crazy as before and the normal log information are
completely override by <BEA-010049> excetpion.
I checked the EntityEJBs in WLI console :Mywlidomain> Applications> WLI System EJBs> WLI Worklist Persistence$)A#,and
found that in statistics table :
ListenerBean : Pool miss ratio = 99.67%, transaction rollback ration = 99.90%,Destory Bean Ratio = 99.48%(see
attachment)
WorklistTimerMDB: transaction rollback ratio = 99.97%
It seems ListenerBean worked incorrectly.I searched in support.bea.com and found one example which also about server
output endless log file,the author solved this problem by changing Bean's transaction-attribute from 'Required'
to 'RequiresNew' thought he didn't know why it works. I try this method by changing ListenerBean's
transaction-attribute from 'Required' to 'RequiresNew'.
$weblogic_home/integration/lib/wli-ejbs.ear/ejb-jar-generic.xml:
<ejb-name>CommentBean</ejb-name>
<method-name>*</method-name>
</method>
<trans-attribute>Required</trans-attribute>
</container-transaction>
<container-transaction>
<method>
<ejb-name>ListenerBean</ejb-name>
<method-name>*</method-name>
</method>
<trans-attribute>RequiresNew</trans-attribute> -----------the default value is Required,I modified it to
RequiresNew.
</container-transaction>
<container-transaction>
really it works, the log file output resume normal. But there are still some problems:
(1) this exception is still exist:
javax.ejb.NoSuchEntityException: [EJB:010140]Bean with primary key: '153.22.52.28-17343c7.10243c3c6ec.a51' not found.
(2) is this method safe ?(Does "Modify ListenBean's transaction-attribute" impat other parts of wli system?)
(3) after changed the transaction attribute, if turn on archive again, the server output endless exception:

How can I solve these problem ? any suggestion is warm welcome.
Thanks in advance.
Great Lou

Back up all data to at least two different storage devices, if you haven't already done so. The backups can be made with Time Machine or with a mirroring tool such as Carbon Copy Cloner. Preferably both.
Boot into Recovery (command-R at startup), launch Disk Utility, and erase the startup volume with the default options.This operation will destroy all data on the volume, so you had be better be sure of your backups. Quit Disk Utility and install OS X. When you reboot, you'll be prompted to go through the initial setup process. That’s when you transfer the data from one of your backups. For details of how this works, see here:
Using Setup Assistant
Transfer only "Users" and "Settings" – not "Applications" or "Other files." Don't transfer the Guest account, if it was enabled on the old system. Test. If the problem is still there, you have a hardware fault. Take the machine to an Apple Store for diagnosis.
If the problem is resolved, reinstall your third-party software cautiously. Self-contained applications that install into the Applications folder by drag-and-drop or download from the App Store are safe. Anything that comes packaged as an installer or that prompts for an administrator password is suspect, and you must test thoroughly after reinstalling each such item to make sure you haven't restored the problem.
Note: You need an always-on Ethernet or Wi-Fi connection to the Internet to use Recovery. It won’t work with USB or PPPoE modems, or with proxy servers, or with networks that require a certificate for authentication.

• Queries that return no results cause exception

When I run a query that returns no records, my program crashes and burns, giving me the error message that no data was found; something doesn't seem right about that. Shouldn't it be able to handle this situation? Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong? Thanks.

I'd rewrite your snippet this way:
// Here's where you get your data
String sql = "SELECT FiscalYear FROM Requests WHERE Agency = ?";
stmt = con.prepareStatement(sql);
stmt.setString(1, agency);
ResultSet result = stmt.executeQuery();
List fiscalYears = new ArrayList();
while (result.next())
fiscalYears.add(result.getString("FiscalYear"));
result.close();
stmt.close();
// Here's where you do something with it.
int numFiscalYears = fiscalYears.size();
if (numFiscalYears > 0)
for (int i = 0; i < numFiscalYears; ++i)
if (i == 0)
//if data was returned, get first row
//put FY value into echoPacket and send to client
echoPacket = DGramIt.toDatagram((String)fiscalYears.get(i), packet.getAddress(), packet.getPort());
socket.send(echoPacket);
else
//for each row of data
socket.receive(dummyPacket);//receive dummy packet
//put FY value into echoPacket and send to client
echoPacket = DGramIt.toDatagram((String)fiscalYears.get(i), packet.getAddress(), packet.getPort());
socket.send(echoPacket);
else
//if no data, send client message
//put message into echoPacket and send to client
echoPacket = DGramIt.toDatagram("no data", packet.getAddress(), packet.getPort());
socket.send(echoPacket);
}Separate out getting the results from what you do with them. - MOD

• Glassfish LDAP group search results in Exception

I'm trying to get my group search running but I keep getting the same exception

at com.sun.appserv.security.AppservPasswordLoginModule.login(AppservPasswordLoginModule.java:148)
There's only on post on the web with the same problem and there is is not fixed.
This is the domain.xml
<auth-realm name="EpsLdapRealm" classname="com.sun.enterprise.security.auth.realm.ldap.LDAPRealm">
<property name="directory" value="ldap://myldap:389"></property>
<property name="base-dn" value="ou=Users,o=xxx"></property>
<property name="jaas-context" value="ldapRealm"></property>
<property name="search-bind-dn" value="cn=saepsman,ou=Users,ou=e-Directory,ou=Services,o=xxx"></property>
<property name="search-bind-password" value="xxxxx"></property>
<property name="search-filter" value="(&(objectClass=user)(uid=%s))"></property>
<property description="null" name="assign-groups" value="USER"></property>
<property name="group-search-filter" value="(&(objectClass=groupOfNames)(member=%d))"></property>
<property name="group-base-dn" value="ou=AccessControl,o=xxx"></property>
</auth-realm>
Authentication works fine, but group assignments do not work. When I remove the group-search-filter I get no error but then also no groups are assigned.
The group I am trying to map is
cn=cug-EPSManager-Administrators,ou=AccessControl,o=xxx
And I do the following mapping in glassfish-web.xml
<security-role-mapping>
<role-name>ADMIN</role-name>
<group-name>cug-EPSManager-Administrators</group-name>
</security-role-mapping>
I also have used
-Djava.naming.referral=follow
EDIT:
I also get the following log message indicating that the search-bin-dn and password are OK. I can also browse the LDAP tree with the credentials in Softerra LDAP Browser.
Error during LDAP search with filter [(&(objectClass=groupOfNames)(member=cn=cdamen,ou=Users,o=xxx))].|#]
When I look at the look at the LDAPRealm source code I see it is failing on the following statement
int sz = grpAttr.size();
This looks like to me that it means that some group was found but there are no group attributes. But there are when I query with Softerra, strange...
* Search for group membership using the given connection.

SearchControls ctls = new SearchControls();

ctls.setSearchScope(SearchControls.SUBTREE_SCOPE);
NamingEnumeration e = ctx.search(baseDN,
filter.replaceAll(Matcher.quoteReplacement("\\"), Matcher.quoteReplacement("\\\\")), ctls);
while(e.hasMore()) {

Attribute grpAttr = res.getAttributes().get(target);

• Saving Buttonmodel results in exception

Hi, I'm trying to save the state of a group of JRadioButtons on a GUI. I have an Object which contains all the gui components, it's called Zone. The constructor takes String and float [ ] and a DefaultButtonModel [ ] and gives them to the fields of Zone. Until there everything works fine. But when I'm trying to write Zone to a file the writeObject(zone) method in ObjectOutputStream throws an Exception.
If I construct the DefaultButtonModel [ ] as a dummy with new DefaultButtonModel( ) elements the exception is not thrown. Does anyone have an idea what's happening?

I don't think this is an OLAP specific issue. You should open a Service Request on MetaLink.
Thanks, Laura

If they are not on the iPod or on the computer they are gone and you will have to repurchase them if you want to play them again. Movies are not one of the categories of iTunes purchases allowed for a free redownload.
