Adding a interface to a Business system

What permissions do i need to be able to add interfaces ..sender and reciever to a business system. If the business system is defined as a third party system..can i add the sender and reciever interfaces.
venkat

Aamir,
Can you elaborate a bit...what i was looking for was this..when you have a business service...in the tab for reciever i can assing the inbound and/or outbound interfaces.
Thats what i meant. of course we do have to create the rest of the Configuration items.
However in my case we are unable to add the inbound and outbound interfaces to the Business system...Why..?
That was my issue.

  • No interface Idoc in Business system Receiver

    Hello,
I have one question concerning my interface for receiver.
My scenarion is File to Idoc and when I configure my receiver determination, and I choose my business system receiver 'BS_ER6CLNT001' I don't find my interface 'CREMAS.CREMAS05' insinde, I have to click first to 'All' and there I find it.
Is it normal? Because I receive in 'sxmb_moni' the error receiver could not be determined.
    Thank you,
    Mohamed.

    Hi
This is not like that. It depends on the software component in which you have imported the idoc.
If the software componet where the idoc was imported ,is included in the Business System then you can find all the interfaces, idocs, rfcs directly.
In your case you might have imported the CREMAS in a different software component ,which is not included in your Business System.
You can just check by adding that softwar component to Business System in SLD,then you can
    try in Integration Directory .

  • Integration directory : select IDOC interface for WAS business system

    Hi,
While adding a receiver determination for an WAS business system, I do not get any IDOC based message interface from the design repository proposed for my business system in the popup dialog.
The only interfaces that appear are for the non SAP standard SWCV that we added to the business system. But no interface for the APPL 5.0 SWCV ( or BASIS 7.0 ) appears.
In the SLD this component is correctly listed for that WAS .
If I remove all the default search criteria , eventually, the in terface appears but after selecting it I get a message saying :
"Message Interface does not exist in any software components installed on this business system "
Since everything looks ok in the SLD I'm puzzled. How does this look on other systems ?
    Any ideas
( The business system was updated from APPL 4.70 / BASIS 6.40 to APPL 5.0 / BASIS 7.00 some time ago but I don't know how it look before the upgrade of the business system )

    Hi Bavesh,
Yes, It's correctly listed.  I did not manually link these components to the technical/business system. This happened automatically by the SLD data collector service. I also cleared the SLD cache several times,

  • Testing same interfaces from other Business System

    Hi,
Till now we have been testing with BIDCLNT100.
Now we want to continue testing with BIDCLNT200 for which there was no config before.
Apart from adding new Business System for new client in SLD, what is needed to be done in ID to configure interfaces for this client.
    Regards,
    Anirudh.

    Hi Prateek,
I think I also need to add the SWCV which are used for these scenarios to this new BS in SLD.
    Please confirm.
Also, will there be any changes in IR?
    regards,

  • XI server: External XML to SAP interface: No own business system

Hi, we have inbound XML interfaces into SAP via XI using JMS queues. We have a dev, test and int. test environment. The dev and test environments work OK. The int. test environment has just been set up. The XML appears in the XI server, viewed via monitor SXI_MONITOR. It has a red flag error, within the XML trace, No own business system, seee below for full msg. I've test in config and the receiver is determined correctly. Can anyone help? • Adding Message Interfaces to Business System

    Hi All,
Can anyone tell me how and why we dont add message interfaces to a business system??..
The business system corresponds to Tech system which has software component...right?...
so how do we get interfaces from diff components into the same business system?

    Hi Ravindra,
The logical relation ship between Business Systems Technical Systems, Product and software components is as follows.
    1) Each business system will be associated with a technical System.
    2) Each SWCV will be a part of a Product.
    3) A Product is Installed on a Technical system.
    4) Multiple Products can be installed on a technical system.
    5) So, multiple SWCVs can be installed in a technical system.
    6) hence a Business system can have Message interfaces belonging to different SWCVs.

  • No interfaces listed for ECC Business System in PI 7.1 for intrf. Detrm

    Hi all,
I have come across this situation earlier, did some settings in SLD ..tech system...(Don rembr it nw....)
I am not able to see the list of interfaces for an ECC Bus.System during Interface determination,
I manually have to key in the name of the BAPI instead of the values appearing in the value list....
I am sure that the is something missing while havin created the BS and TS in the SLD,
Can someone guide me what my approach would be.
    Replies much appreciated. Thanks

    Hi
Please assign the software component(Product) in which you have imported your BAPI in IR to your
    Business System in SLD.
Then you can see all the interfaces of that software component in your Business System(ECC) in ID.
So just add the software component to your Business System in SLD then you can get the interface in
    ID.
Check the following link for the same issue.

  • Message interface not exist in any software components on business system

    Hi Experts,
In development-environment we have an interface (SAP->XI->3rd party system) with a conditional receiver determination (based upon a fieldvalue in RFC that comes from SAP,  "CONTROL_RECEIPE_DOWNLOAD"). This functions properly in development.
After transport to production environment this structure is not known when I try to use it in the Integration Directory when creating a conditional receiver determination. Double-click on the interface does result in the startup of the integration builder, but the interface itself can not be found. The following error-message appears:
"Error message  Message interface does not exist in any software components installed on this business system"
All design-objects have been put into production and in Integration Builder the structure is available. In IR it is not...
In development In the business system of the sending SAP system, I can see the interface. In production, I don't see any interfaces at the business system....so this might be the problem but how can I add an interface manually to a business system?
    Can anybody please help?
    Thanks in advance
    William

    Hi William,
One more thing. In Production, check the technical system of source. SWCV in which you have developed your interface, should be installed on the source system. If this SWCV is not in list of your installed products & SWCV then add it. Update the business sytem in ID again & it will work. I guess you have done a typo by saying that objects are not available in IR but in Integration builder its avaliable.

  • Business system - inbound interface issue

    Hello,
I have created a business system in SLD and assigned required SWCV in installed products tab.now i imported that business system in to ID.
But in my business system i am not able to find the inbound interfaces of perticular SWCV. (able to see some other i/b and o/b interfaces)
i have configured SLD perfectly. ( in business system -installed products tab i have assigned the SWCV and product and check box was ticked). but the same SWCV and it's interfaces are not reflecting at the ID>business system.
now this business system is using in so many interfaces. so i can't reimport again. So kindly suggest how can i get the inbound interfaces to my business system in ID.
    Thanks in advance.......SARAN

    Hi,
Check Cache Overview to see if you are facing any problem,
also if you create the BS with the proper SWC, etc etc. and few days later you define a new SWC to this BS, you have to refresh the configuratio in the SLD-->I mean, go to BS and check if all SWC associated are selected. if not, select them and try again. this is important if you want to define a routing rule in the Receiver determination.
Now if you are in the ID and you cannot see directly services filtering by BS, dont care just change the filters to ANY ANY and you will see all services.
    Hope Helps
    Thanks

  • Missing Inbound Interface under Edit Service for Business System

    Hello All,
I have to configure a Scenario at Integration Directory. Import from IR already done.
When i try to configure a Service under Party\Service\Business System I am not able to find the special IDoc type (here) PROJECT:PROJECT01 under register card "Receiver" (Inbound Interfaces) for the SLD defined Business System.
How can i add the IDoc type here?
    Many thanks in advanced?
    Regards,
    Jochen

    Hi,
please let me explain more in detail. All answer not really facing my problem.
At Integration Directory i want to create a Business System Service for a external incoming connection.
When i try to create under the Scenario e.g. "IS_WBSElements" the Service " BTS_Partner" under \Party\<partern>\Service\Business System\ at Display Service i couldn't find the IDoc Type PROJECT.PROJECT01. This will displayed at Display Services under Point Business System "Receiver" card (Inbound Interfaces"). There is a list of some Inbound Interfaces displayed with column Name, Namespace and Software Component Version.
When try to add a different Business System under Party\Service e.g. BTS_CCM i get much more Inbound Interfaces displayed incl. PROJECT.PROJECT01.
Perhaps there is a relation between Inbound Interface and the Business System?!
    Many thanks in advance!
    Regards,
    Jochen

  • Use of Business Systems and Technical Systems

    Hi
What is the use of having business systems and technical systems in SAP XI. I don't see any configuration details needed to create these. I understand that it logically divides the interfaces into different business systems but is that the only use? The only place I see the real configuration done is in the adapter configuration.
    Vijay

    Vijay,
The technical system actually works better for our non-SAP systems than the SAP systems. Here is our scenario:
We have an AS400 business system that uses a file adapter to send files to XI and then uploaded to SAP ECC. The file adapter does not ask for the system information so we can switch between dev and test by changing the DNS address in the technical system entry (dynamic reference like a property file lookup). The communication channel settings do not have to change.
The receiver is SAP using an RFC adapter which requires the system ID, and client (hard coded).  Everytime we change clients, we have to change the settings in the RFC adapter. This is more to your point of why do we have a technical system if we have to provide the settings in the adapter as well. The RFC adapter should read the application server and client values from it's parent business system so the changes don't have to be made everytime we point to a new client( such as QA). This is irritating.
So maybe the theory is good but the implementation could be better in this case.
    Thanks,
    Troy

  • Model Configurator - Business System not listed

    Hello,
I have the following problem when using the model configurator to create a configuration scenario based on an integration scenario.
I want to assign a communication component to a product. However the according communication component is not listed in the value list for a specific product.
I have added the product to the business system (installed) in the SLD and also cleared the SLD cache. However the communication component is still not listed.
Any idea what else I could try?

Hi, I have the same issue. How did you make it show up in the value list? The input box on Model Configurator won't simply let you type it in.

  • Changing Business Systems from Dev to QA

I am trying to transport Integration Directory (Configuration) objects from DEV to QA.  Is there a way that I can define my business systems (or something else) so that when I import my ID objects into QA I do not have to go into the Communication Channels to change the sender(s) and receiver(s) of the interface from DEV business systems to QA business systems?

    Hi Kirk,
I have not noticed this much, so I am bit doubtful.
It MAY be possible with below conditions
    1)  If you use CMS and have your transport groups enabled in SLD (for QA, Prod equivalent of Dev)
    2) you use the same name for the receiver & sender adapters (common names across scenarios & servers)
    3) you do the transport for the SECOND time
what i mean as second time is, suppose there is a scenario to the same business system and you are using a RFC adapter, (which was already configured for someother scenario in your QA)
with all these things, you may anyway have to ACTIVATE (but not configure) after the transports.
    Hope this helps.
    Regards
    Vishnu

  • Business System in XI not able to attach Receiver/Sender interfaces.

I understand the difference between Business System and a Business Service  (as I can read sap help and the previous posts on this subject thankyou).
I have a 3rd Party Warehouse system (Manhattan).
I have defined this in the SLD and imported this into XI as a Business System.  As that seemed like the correct way rather than simply just defining it as a Business Service.
I have used this in various configurations and it seems fine.
    But check this out.
If in XI Configurator you go into the Business System it is not possible to attach Receiver and Sender Interfaces to it like you would for a Business Service.  This means that everytime you want to use an Interface you have to do a search all instead of just being able to picking it up off the ones defined against the System (like you can for a Business Service).
This is a little annoying and I wonder if I am doing something wrong.

    Hi,
So how do I assign my SWCV to a Technical System in the SLD?
While configuring technical system in sld it will ask about the details of product and its software component version.
Maybe these steps may help you.
    Choose New Technical System.
The browser displays the screen Technical System Wizard in a separate window.
           2.      Select Third-Party, and then choose next.
           3.      Enter the system name and the host name of the system, and then choose Next.
The browser displays all the registered SAP product versions in the list Available Products.
           4.      Select the SAP products that are installed in the third-party system, and then choose Add.
On the lower part of the screen, the browser displays a list of all the software components that are contained in the selected products.
Repeat this step as many times as necessary until you have added all products.
To remove a product, select it in the list, and then choose Remove.
You can add more products to this system at a later stage.
           5.      Select the software components that are actually installed in the system.
           6.      Choose Finish.
The SLD server has now registered the new third-party system.
    Regards,
    Pradeep A.

  • Service interface not listed in business system in ID.

    Hi Experts,
In my QA system service interfaces are not listed in business system in ID, i have added product and SWCV in SLD and i am still unable to see the service interfaces of SWCV that i have added. i have done SLD and CPA cache refresh, restarted the QA system but still unable to resolve the issue.
Please suggest how to resolve this issue.

    Hi Venu,
i have done SLD and CPA cache refresh, restarted the QA system but still unable to resolve the issue.
Try if "Compare from SLD" works? This can be accessed by going to ID -> double-click business system -> communication component -> adapter specific identifiers
