Adding Custom Header to SOAPMessage sent to external webservice

Hi ,
I want to append some payload and manifest elements to the soapmessage header when i am calling an external service using partner link.
I have created a variable of type string and initialised the string with my elements below:
<payloadManifest soapenv:actor="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/actor/next" so
apenv:mustUnderstand="0" xmlns="http://www.starstandards.or/webservices/2003/12/
transport">

and this string I have assigned to the the InputHeader part of the adapter tab in the Invoke activity.
Its removing the tags and displaying .
Please provide me help on how to append custom header to the soapMessage.
Its very urgent.

I have an application where in authorization is done from a different server. When we hit our app's URL proxy redirects to that othorizing server and that server adds a header named sn_userdn in the header and we read that header and accordingly we do the further processing based on that.
But now I need to bypass this thing. I need to develop a login page which gets the user information and sets same header this is because we are going to not use the third party authorization any more.
I am useing response.addHeader("sn_userdn","binoyb9");but while trying to read it as we were doing it previously it gives null.
can you tell me why?

response.addHeader() will add a header that goes back to the response, usually to the browser. If something isn't intercepting that after that, it's not going to be there. I think it seems you are adding something to the wrong place. Perhaps a servlet filter could be used to add the header before the servlet/jsp page gets it.

Hope you'll understand my situation...Your original code does that. So no, I don't understand your situation. Unless it's this:
I'm unable to retrieve the new header valueSo what? You can't retrieve a header from the servlet response in any case. Using a HttpServletResponseWrapper doesn't change that fact. If you've got a design that wants to retrieve headers from the servlet response then you've got a design that wants to be changed.
Note that you DO have a "containsHeader(String)" method to see if the response contains a certain header.

Adding custom information in HTTP Header in an outgoing request from GWWS

Is there a way to send custom header information with the a webservice request (HTTP post) that happens via GWWS server?
All the methods I read about deal with managing the soap envelop that gets sent.
We are looking for ways which will allow us to put custom information in the headers.
I am aware there is something we can do using the Salt Plugins.
For example, we can write a Out bound plugin which has a capability of putting the "Authentication:Basic..." in the header.
Then there is message conversion plugin which deals with transformation of message, which gives us control over the soap body.
Is it possible to put information in the header for outgoing request (from GWWS) to a specific web service?

It clarifies the doubts that I was having while reading through the documentation Xu pointed to.
Yes, we need to add HTTP Headers (not SOAP header).
For now we just need to add Basic Authentication HTTP Header for outbound service calls.
We have developed a plugin to do that for now.
And even if the salt plugin takes care of adding the Basic Authentication in the HTTP Header for outgoing calls, I guess we do not have any option to include some custom information in the HTTP Header which might be required in the future.
At-least, not unless we request that enhancement.
Bringing the plugin into our mix requires a lot of changes to our architecture including inclusion of AUTHSVR in the UBB,
Which, in turn, makes it imperative to change the endpoint clients of our application.
In addition to that, the incoming web service calls also need to include TUXEDO authentication information, which would again require either communicating the authentication information to the consumers of our service or device some kind of a proxy which would add the authentication information for all the incoming requests!
With these facts in mind, we were wondering if we have an easier way to include the HTTP header information.
As you say, Maurice, it seems it is not possible yet.

Issue in receiving custom header in response SOAP message

Hi,
I have created a simple BPEL process with custom headers in request and response message.
I tried to send SOAP message through SOAPUI tool. Service is getting instantiated, able to access the request header and able to send response message. But only body is send as response message. Header is not sent in the response message.
Also tried to invoke the above service through another BPEL process. I could able to send the header through request but not able to receive the header in response message.
Pls. throw some light on this..

Input request is working as you mentioned but the output custom headers are not working. When I use bpelx:outputHeaderVariable="varOutManifest" I am getting exception while running the interface. So I used bpelx:outputHeaderVariables="varOutManifest" but I am not getting back the custom header from the partner service to the variable.
Any hint.

Added custom screen in PO using BADI ME_GUI_PO_CUST and ME_PROCESS_PO_CUST

I have added custom screen with two z fields at item level using BADI ME_GUI_PO_CUST and ME_PROCESS_PO_CUST i can see my screen in tcodes ME21N , ME22N , ME23N but I am not able to save data.
and also screen is coming in change mode even in ME23N .

The field is visible when I open FAGLFLEXP table, but when I post data The custom field (WBS Element) is not being updated. Could you please let me know the process to update this field?

The procedure isn't so simple. There are several posts on the subject SCN. I suggest research before you start developing.

However, the most important is: a) Is it really necessary to change the standard? b) There could be a Z table containing the new information and referencing FAGLFLEXP? c) What is the transaction that will keep the data? It has Exit´s for what you need?

Actually your approach may be wrong, first as an ABAPer should ask to functional team, which transaction and where to insert the fields, it could be header or item level(I am saying example)
Based on tcode, you need to enhance the table level as well as the screen exit/BADI we need to pass screen to internal programming structure. the structure type will be table type of FAGLFLEXP.

Adding custom columns to the tasks tab in UWL

Hi Experts,
We have UWL configured for GP in CE 7.1.
Currently we have standard columns like Subject, From, Sent Date etc. only
I need to add some columns like Project No., Customer No.(GP parameters) to the 'Tasks' tab in it.
These columns are required for all the Work items that appear in UWL.
I have read about adding custom view for a specific task , but not sure how it can be done in my case.
Kindly provide inputs for this.

i have posted exactly the same problem a few months ago, and no one answered me.
I couldn't find any documentation on how to add custom GP parameters in the universal worklist, in the examples on customizing the UWL XML they always refer to parameters from the r/3 webflow, never GP.
I really can't believe that nobody ever tried to do this and faced this problem!

Adding custom fields to shopping cart in SRM 7.0

Hi My dear Experts,
I am having big doubt also a lot of confussion as per my understanding regarding adding custom fields to SC.
I believe,
i) It can be achieved by configuration in spro with respect to Meta data frame.
i,e Configure field control->configure control for fields on Header/Item level
after that
configure customer fields->Define cistomer fields on Header/Item level.
ii) I also doubt fields can be added through Webdynpro enhancement of standard component.
Pls clarify my doubt with little detail which is the best way to achieve my requirement ??
Is Webdynpro Enhancement really needed ??

   Example for Adding fields in SC accounting Tab ...follow the below example
1. Add custom field ZZTESTACCT in   structure   INCL_EEW_PD_ACC_CSF by using append structure.
2. Spro ->Supplier Relationship Management u2192 SRM Server u2192 Cross application basic settings u2192 Extensions and field controls (personalization) u2192 Configure field control ->Configure Control for Fields of Substructures
then click on "Metadata for Fields of Substructures and Table-Like Enhancements"
add the below entry
Bus. Object Set Type : 31
Structure Field Name : ZZTESTACCT
Bus. Object Type       : BUS2121
Set Level                    : Item
Field Visible : Check box should be checked
Field Enable : check box should be checked
if you create the above entry then you can see ZZTESTACCT field in the accounting tab.
Second point :
WD_BADI_DOMODIFYVIEW is a Badi you can implement this badi for the WD component and View to handle the UI elements.

Screen Exit for adding custom fields in Additional Data tab in ME21N

I need a screen exit or whatever other method for adding custom fields to the additional data tab at header level.
I also need a similar exit for adding a filed at item level.

then a list of exits will display for that tcode as well as that package.

For BADI's,
1)goto to tcode SE24 give the CL_EXITHANDLER and display and then double click on the GET_INSTANCE
keep Break point at this location 'call method cl_exithandler=>get_class_name_by_interface'
then the tcode it will trigger there and we can debugg there we can find badi'for that tcode and then remove the break point.
2)Goto to tcode->status->program name->double click on that program will display's
then press crtl+F then cl_exithandler

Add Custom Header Tab to ME22N

Hi I want to add a Customer Header Tab to ME22n. For that I am using BADI : ME_GUI_PO_CUST . As I understand to publich the tab at header level all I have to do is implement method IF_EX_ME_GUI_PO_CUST~SUBSCRIBE
i have implemented this method as mentioned below. However, the tab at header level is not displayed for some reason. Please advice
* we want to add a customer subscreen on the item detail tab
IF im_application = 'PO' AND im_element     = 'ITEM'.
* each line in re_subscribers generates a subscreen. We add one subscreen in this example
*    CLEAR re_subscribers[].
* the name is a unique identifier for the subscreen and defined in this class definition
   ls_subscriber-name = subscreen1.
* the dynpro number to use
   ls_subscriber-dynpro = '0101'.
* the program where the dynpro can be found
   ls_subscriber-program = 'SAPLYPDM_LINK'.
* each subscreen needs his own DDIC-Structure

* the position within the tabstrib can be defined

In the code above the ITEM part was implemented by another developer and works fine. However the HEADER part I am implementing does not work. Structure YMM_CONFIRMATIONS is created in DDIC. Functional pool SAPLZMM_PO_CONFIRMATIONS also has been created with screen 9000 with just text on it for testing purposes. Please advice what else do I have to implemented to get the custom tab to be printed on Header level in enjoy transaction me22n.

i had similer problem when adding custom fields in va01 traction in header level at Additional data B tab.
these subscreen are placed in subscreen containers.
and if you have more number of fields in subscreen some fields will not be displayed.
i solved the problem by increasing the size of subscreen container.
SAP NOTE NO. 302497 - Additional cust. fields not displayed in 'Additional data B'
this note say:
Enlarging the screen containers:
If there is insufficient space on the subscreens and you enlarge the
maintenance area, you must also adjust the lines and columns in the
subscreen containers.
You can do this using Transaction SE51 (Screen Painter).
1) In the initial screen, you must fill the following fields:
Program SAPMV45A
Screen number 4312 (or 4462)
2) Then activate the 'Attributes' selection field and choose
'Change'.
3) Adjust the size of the lines/columns in accordance with the
subscreen.
4) Check your changes, then save and activate the screen.
5) Exit the transaction.

How to insert custom header in log files

How i can insert a custom header in sun one 6.1 sp2 logging ( access logs)...
In apache i can do it like :

so "X-Forwarded-For" header i want to put in the server access log file.
