Adding PSD files to existing Album PSE files

We have Photoshop 10 installed and my wife has created an Album.  Either the PSE file has been moved or deleted, but neither a manual server of the hard drives or using the reconnect feature was able to find the file. I was able to find an older version of the file as a different name, but it is missing a number of pages.  In my search I was able to find all the PSD files of the missing pages, is there a way to add these pages to the other PSE file I found?
Any help would be much appreciated.

Yes but I want to code - not interested in doing it from command line sorry.
At the moment I have code like this which adds filename1.xml and filename2.xml to eg.jar: -
String eg1 = "help me!!"
String eg2 = "what is the solution?"
JarOutputStream jar = new JarOutputStream(new FileOutputStream("eg.jar");
JarEntry entry1 = new JarEntry("filename1.xml")
JarEntry entry2 = new JarEntry("filename2.xml")
entry1.write(eg1.getBytes(),0,eg1.length());
entry2.write(eg2.getBytes(),0,eg2.length());]
Now after this has been created, I want to start a new program and write a third file to the jar using code - how do I do that is the question?

  • PDF-files convert themselfes to PSE-files!!

Need help! All my PDF-files suddenly convert themselfes to PSE-files!! PDF-files sent to me as enclosures in e-mails turn up as PSE-files and is of no use to me. And worse: all my old pdfs spared on my computer has been changed to PSE-files. All icons for PDF-files on my desktop have a blue mark with "PSE" in them instead of the red PDF symbol. And it is impossible suddenly to open them as the pdfs they were spared as. The open as unreadable PSE documents.
I really don't know what to do about it, so I need HELP!
    Leif Wallquist

Yes, something has changed. WINDOWS has changed. The files have not changed, because this is nothing to do with the file.
It works like this: there is a "default association" for a file type. Don't worry about the jargon. What it means is that for each type of file (DOC,TXT,JPG,PDF,PSE...) Windows has an app (program) to run. It also, for each file type, has an icon for that app.
So, if the default association for PDF files is Adobe Reader then, when you double click a PDF, it opens Adobe Reader. And the icon comes from Adobe Reader.
But, if the default association for PDF files is Photoshop Elements, when you double click a PDF, it opens Photoshop Elements. And the icon comes from Photoshop Elements. This doesn't mean that they are PSE files!
When you change the association it affects all of the files, BUT the files don't change.
As I said, you can probably fix this from Adobe Reader's preferences. You can also sometimes fix it in Windows, with the right click - open with - Adobe Reader. Do you have an "always use this program" option? Try it.

  • 'Blu Ray Error Code 6: File Alreay Exists The ES File is Short' Message

I have successfully built my project several times until I edited three files outside of Encore.
These clips are now slightly shorter in length and I have re-imported them back into Encore and re-done the timelines they were in, the chapters and menus.  I have saved the project under a different name, but when i come to build the project (Blu Ray disc or ISO) I keep getting the error 'Blu Ray Error Code 6: File Alreay Exists. The ES File is Short' and it aborts the build process.
    Using CS5
    Any ideas?
    Thanks

Sometimes session files get corrupted when burn a project again and again or changing the assets.
If you remove session files from you project then while burning Encore will create new session files and this problem may resolve.
Remove the session files from AuthorScriptHDMVSessions folder
    Session file location -
    /<Project path>/AuthorScriptSessions
Remove this folder and try to burn the project

  • Double quotes missing in CSV file but exist in text file from AL11

Hi I am sending a file to AL11 with one of the fields having double quotes Like "field value" . When i download into Text file  i am seeing the quotes but not when download as CSV file from Al11. Any SAP notes for this . If i add  multiple quotes ' """" ' to have in csv I am seeing more quotes in text file which is not accepted . Please reply if anyone worked on this before . Thanks Kamesh

The CSV file also has the quotes (check in notepad), but when opened in MS Excel, Excel has a feature to ignore double quotes and consider the comma inside the quotes as part of field, not as a field separator.

  • Java script in HTMLDB to check if file exists in Unix file system

How do I use javascript to check if file is exists in Unix file system. I would like to dispaly the columns only if file is exists.

    Hello,
This is one of those features that the manuals do not cover.
How to use and build AJAX features could be a whole book all by itself, and it's not really HTML DB specific feature even though we have built some hooks in application and javascript to make it easier.
Take a look at this thread

  • PSE 9 and 5 will not import - says the file already exists in the catalog !

I've already wasted 2 days looking for answers to this. When someone buys this program, at least half of the price is paying for the database in the Organizer - yet even John Ellis himself, who seems to know more than anyone about it, has gone to Lightroom. This is bad coding!!!
Upgraded from 5 to 9. If you read my previous posts, this took 2 days too, and phone help from a tech, because it would not install in my XP computer. It did upgrade the Organizer from 5, although many of the symbols are unusable and don't work to help me identify my tags. However, now I see that neither 5 nor 9 is able to look at a file and display thumbnails that are in it.
I move files around a lot for my business. Any half-way good database should be able to find the missing files, and also add any new images. Say I have 10 images in file A, then add 2 more to make 12. It can't see the added images! Says can't import, the file already exists in the catalog.
I tried: updating thumbnails, recover, repair, in both 5 and 9 - nothing works. to import the images that I can SEE in these folders! I read here  that it will not import files if the same name is somewhere else. That alone is a problem.  But I think it's more than that: even if the file used to be in another folder, folder B, it won't recognize that it's in folder A now!
Since PSE9 uses sql db, shouldn't that be better than 5 and be able to do simple tasks like this?
Any advice or similar experiences eagerly welcomed.

Thank you for replying, dj paiqe.
Do you mean the first little section that says photos may not be displaying? Yes, those just reveal hidden photos and are very basic. I did them.
I guess we disagree about databases and what they are designed to do, or maybe I didn't explain this well.
I did not move the images outside of the catalog: I move them to various folders, all already imported WITHIN the catalog, as I send them to various editors. (these are all drawings, not photos, and I do this professionally, so it needs to work).
Folder A and Folder B and Folder C have already been imported into the catalog. So if I move 2 images from folder B into folder A, the Organizer is simply lost, says image already exists, and everything is totally screwed up, as the image is no longer in folder B, and it can't find it in folder A!!! The problem is, unless I memorize the image name, say Image 9, I can't tell it to reconnect, as there is no longer an image in front of me! So there are 2 images, without names, now nowhere to be found. Inefficient, to say the least.
I've never tried Lightroom or Filemaker, but I cannot believe that they would lose data like this. I think it's the Folder coding that's not working in PSE, and I wanted this to work so badly!!!!!
I am willing to do it the PSE way, since you now have captions, keywords, etc, and it is a very powerful database, when it works. I understand that one is supposed to move images within the Organizer, obviously. But now many images are disconnected. I could start all over importing, but is there any way to do that without losing tags and categories?

  • *Added* code to existing source file, compiled it, and class file shrunk

Another newbie here. Fortunately, my classpath is ok, so I'm able to compile a .java file.
I added one line of code (System.out.println) to write the value of a variable to a log. After compiling with javac, I noticed that the resulting [new] class file was smaller than the existing class file. I looked at each of the class files with Textpad. It's gibberish, but I quickly saw that a large block of code was missing in the new class file, even though the size of the source file had been increased.
There is a difference, however, between how the two class files were created. The existing class file was compiled (along with many others) by exporting an .EAR file from a development environment (WSAD) to the WebSphere Administrator Console. Conversely, I am now compiling the same source file with javac on my machine.
I suspect that this is the reason why I can add code to a .java file, compile it, and have the resulting class file actually lose code. Even if I am correct, I don't know what to do about it.
    Does anyone have an idea?
    Regards,
    Daniel T.

Thank you both for your replies. I've read many posts over the past few months, and I know how important it is to provide as much info as possible, when asking a question here. That said, I have another tasty tidbit...
After replacing the existing (larger) class file with the new (smaller) class file, my application now produces this:
"*Error 500: LinkageError while defining class*..." [name of class]
*"...(Unsupported major.minor version 50.0) This is often caused by having a class defined at multiple locations within the classloader hierarchy. Other potential causes include compiling against an older or newer version of the class that has an incompatible method signature. Dumping the current context classloader hierarchy: ==> indicates defining classloader ==>[0] com.ibm.ws.classloader.CompoundClassLoader@6bd156d5 Local ClassPath:"*
    ...[the entire classpath]...
    Original exception--- java.lang.UnsupportedClassVersionError:
I'm guessing that my focus should mostly be on the 'Original exception', and maybe I need to revisit the JRE or JDK or JVM (these terms are somewhat nebulous to me, so please forgive me using them interchangeably) on my machine. For now, I'll just keep trying stuff. Thanks again for the replies!

  • PSE 9 Scanner Issue- "File already exists"

Probably a really basic question but PSE is rejecting the first two scans of every multi-scan (usually a 4 photo scan). Says "files already exist" but they don't. They are new images never scanned before. But it will accept the last two images scanned.
I can't find a work-around and it's paralyzed my scanning of hundreds of pictures.  All media types are checked under View.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks much!.

    Hi Rick,
I'm not sure I'll be much help.  Right up front I admit I've never scanned into PSE.
Are you saying that if the ScanGear software divides the images, everything is OK in PSE?
In other words, do you get the error only if you use PSE to divide the images?
If #1 is false, the fact that the location of the "existing" file is in a temp directory (and not in your specified scan folder) suggests that there is a communication problem between the ScanGear software and PSE.  If #2 is true, then that's an internal PSE problem.
If you leave PSE out of the picture, can you scan directly from ScanGear and tell it to place the divided images in your scan folder?

  • PSE 12 - FILE ALREADY EXISTS

PROBLEM: "FILE ALREADY EXISTS" - PSE 12 Organizer & Editor – (creates separate files for the grouped scanned photo process, in a single pass) using Editor IMAGES/DIVIDE SCANNED PHOTOS this results in system replacing existing files (ie “scan-123 copy2.jpg”, “scan-123 copy3.jpg”, “scan-123 copy4.jpg”)  Unable to reset auto sequence number(123) to reset it to a good restart number because editor choose start number not me (ie “scan-501 copy2.jpg”………….).  Is there a fix?

Do you get the option to name the file when saving?  If so then try to over-ride the default name by inserting some characters at the end or numbers.  Scan01, scan02 etc  or even Scan00000001, Scan0000002 etc\ etc

  • How to open a .pse file in photoshop elements?

    Hello,
All my previous files were saved as (.psd). Somehow, one of my photoshop elements projects was saved as a (.pse). I can't open it. How can I re open this file and continue working?
    Thanks in Advance

A PSD is the standard working file for Photoshop.
A PSE is a project file for Photoshop Elements. These projects are multiple pages. If you are working with a PSE on Windows, there will be a folder along side your PSE that contains a PSD file for each page of the PSE. If you are missing this folder, you won't be able to open the file. The PSE file itself is just instructions on how to open the PSD files as pages of a project. On Mac, all of these files are wrapped up in a single container.

  • Cannot create a file when that file already exists, but should overwrite

    Hi,
I need the same file name which is at Sender side and when it reaches to Receiver directory without timestamp.
for eg., Sender side : Yeswanth.txt
and also receiver side   :  Yeswanth.txt
but, here it should overwrite the existing file (because, the sender side file name is always constant) at receiver directory when the job schedules for each time.
Processing parameters i has given on Receiver side:
    File Construction Mode  :  Create
put file  : Use Temporary File
and I enabled the Adapter Specific Message Attributes at Sender side and Receiver side.
Error getting receiver side at communication channel :
    Message processing failed. Cause: com.sap.aii.af.ra.ms.api.RecoverableException:
Yeswanth.txt: Cannot create a file when that file already exists. : com.sap.aii.adapter.file.ftp.FTPEx: 550

    Hi Yeswanth
Then you can try with a "Add Counter". This will create new file each time with the same name but a counter will be added to the file name at the end specifying the number of times it is created.
You can also the specify the format to create the counter once select this option u can correspondingly fill the Format and step fields.
    Will this be fine.

  • Group file already exists

Can someone please explain what causes this error:
    OCA-30023: error fetching result set
    [POL-3253] group file already exists
I am using Oracle Lite 8. I have created a view that returns all records from a table with the related data from other tables. Whenever I use this view in a query, adding a where clause with a date range, I get the above mentioned error. This only happens when the database is open in another application. If I use the view in a query without a where clause, it works fine, but I get more data than I want to view. The view is shown below.
    Thanks for any info.

Thanks John. We downloaded the omwb13100 zip file.
Instead of using the default repository, I tried to log-in to a database on the local NT machine to recreate a new repository. Everything went fine afterwards.
We're all set for now but it would be nice to find out what happened to the default repository. Thank you.

    Hi Bobo Dasilva,
What you showed according to your output is you created an autobackup without the info on the datafile called:
    C:\ORACLEXE\APP\ORACLE\FLASH_RECOVERY_AREA\XE\AUTOBACKUP\2009_07_26\O1_MF_S_693232337_56R8O2N0_.BKP
Than you created the tablespace which implictly created a new controlfile autobackup because you changed the structure of the database.
    C:\ORACLEXE\APP\ORACLE\FLASH_RECOVERY_AREA\XE\AUTOBACKUP\2009_07_26\O1_MF_S_693234306_56RBLMM1_.BKP
This last controlfile autobackup is than used by the restore process which is the reason the controlfile is aware of the extra added datafile.
Best would be to to force the restore of the controlfile from O1_MF_S_693232337_56R8O2N0_.BKP if you want the controlfile not to contain the info.
    Regards,
    Tycho
