Adding URL to Task in Visual Studio / C# SharePoint Workflow 2010

I have a custom SharePoint Workflow (2010) using Visual Studio.
During my task creation, I am populating my task using the .ExtendedProperties.  I get how to do it with strings, numbers and boolean.
Now I want to add a URL (link) to the task.  I have the URL type defined for one of the fields of the task, but I'm not sure how I would format the values to pass in.
MyworkflowTask.Item.ExtendedProperties["OriginalItem"]=??
Since I need to pass in both the URL and description, not sure how to format this.
Thanks

You can use the SPFieldUrlValue class.
SPFieldUrlValue value = new SPFieldUrlValue();
value.Url = "http://www.certdev.com";
value.Description = "very cool";
MyworkflowTask.Item.ExtendedProperties["OriginalItem"] = value;

  • Problem when adding ABAP custom webservice with Visual Studio 2010

    Hi All,
    After creating a webservice for a custom RFC function developed in a ECC6.0 SAP machine, I tried to add it to a Visual Studio 2010 windows aplication (through a web reference connection).
    The sequence I've done is:
    - Create RFC in ABAP, with testing ok
    - Create a WEBSERVICE with the ABAP editor
    - Configured the webservice with SICF with:
         Procedure: Standard
         Logon data: standard R3 user
         Security requirement: Standard
         Authentication: Standard SAP User
    Then, in SOAMANAGER I copied the webservice URL and tried to add it to Visual Studio 2010, but it keeps asking me the user and password. I try to supply the R3 username and password but if fails.
    Why is ECC6.0 asking the user and passord if I've defined a SAP user for the login process?
    Is there any way to disable this?
    Thanks,
    Manuel Dias

    Hello Manuel,
    You can use the following code:
    CredentialCache cache = new CredentialCache();
          cache.Add(new Uri("WEBSERVICEURL:PORTNUMBER/"), "Basic", new NetworkCredential("USERNAME", "PASSWORD"));
    SAP needs a password.
    Kind regards,
    JK

  • Adding SQL Server Express to Visual Studio 2013 Pro on Windows 10 Preview

    I have installed VS 2013 Pro on Windows 10. I need to delevop unsing SQL Server Express. Do I download the full SQL Server 2012 Express Advanced (with full text search), or do I need only part of it? I was going to download the SQLEXPRADV_X64_ENU.exe.
    Is this a good way to go?
    Do I also need to download any other .net frameworks?

    Hi
    I had same issue. Below is the solution
    Installing

  • Visual studio 2013 cannot connect to SharePoint 2013 site

    I am developing a SharePoint 2013 provider-hosted app (MVC web application). When I am trying to deploy the application on the SharePoint dev site, I am getting below
    error :
    Cannot connect to the SharePoint site: . Make sure that this is a valid URL and the SharePoint site is running on the local computer. If you moved this project to
    a new computer or if the URL of the SharePoint site has changed since you created the project, update the Site URL property of the project.
    I also checked the SharePoint site url is working in the browser on my development machine.
    If any one of you have faced or/and resolved a problem like this one, please let me know.
    Thanks.

    Hi,
    1. Please check if the Site URL is right in Visual Studio 2013 project.
    2. Try to use the administrator account of the developer site to connect.
    3. Reinstall Office Developer Tools.
    Thanks,

  • Visual Studio 2013 Pro - Winforms toolbox icons beside items are missing for some 3rd party vendors controls

    I noticed last weekend after installing VS 2013.4 update that the Winforms toolbox, while showing all items, did not display the icons beside the items for any custom/third party Winform controls. The only icon
    showing in the toolboxes are the Pointer icon. I can select and drop any control onto a project, and as soon as I move mouse into the design surface the icon shows. Neither the
    builtin Winforms controls nor the WPF toolbox exhibit the same symptom. It is specific to Winforms third party controls (ActiPro and DevExpress). At first I thought it was due to the update, then I found that my laptop was
    already exhibiting this symptom, running 2013.3 (I had not dropped any controls from the toolbox in the past few weeks so I did not notice).
    The two machines (laptop and workstation) are running Windows 7 64-bit Professional and Ultimate, respectively. These machines are dedicated to development, and are secured, also running Norton Antivirus.
    I also have VS 2010 and VS 2012 which don't exhibit the symptom, though I finally removed 2012 last night during my adventures. I had all three VS side by side, running well for months (I added VS 2013 in June). VS
    2013 had been functioning well on a daily basis for the dozen or so Winforms projects and the odd WPF or MVC project.
    I use DevExpress v2014 and ActiPro controls; I have been using them for years now.
    I've spent 2 days trying remedies that include:
    Resetting Toolbox
    Removal of *.spd files in %APPDATA%, restarting VS
    Uninstall Visual Studio, remove and delete of any Visual Studio remnant in the registry, Program Files(x86), %APPDATA% and %PROGRAMDATA%, reinstall.
    Repeat step 3 with VS 2013.1 and .3
    Downgraded .NET to 4.5.1 to match my third, correctly functioning computer (also running Windows 7 x64 Ultimate).
    DevExpress has told me this isn't a problem they have seen. At first I agreed, since my ActiPro controls also are missing their icons, but then I noted that other vendor controls display fine. Not sure what else to do but to nuke the workstation and install
    from OS up.

    DevExpress is discussing this issue in the thread here : https://www.devexpress.com/support/center/Question/Details/T174133#comment-a98eedf1-ca54-4920-a2d6-49506ddae5b5
    The small sample they provided in the thread actually reproduces the bug in my environment.
    Since I cannot post screenshots here on MSDN forum (I explained above, when I try to attach pictures I
    receive an error that my account is not verified). There is nothing more I can do.
    This appears to be a bug in Visual Studio 2013. VS 2010 and 2012 are on the same machine and do not exhibit
    the problem. It is frustrating how unresponsive Microsoft is to my issue. I am a long-time MSDN subscriber, as well as customer of multiple seats of the retail copies of Visual Studio. It looks like the only way to get attention is to pay for a incident. If
    Microsoft is interested in actually seeing this bug in action, I have 2 machines that are preserved. I have installed a fresh environment on my backup PC.

  • Workflow in visual studio 2013.

    I am trying to create Workflow in visual studio 2013.

  • Not able to deploy windows kernel driver on target machine from visual studio

    I have created windows kernel driver, and signed it with production certificate. Now I could install this driver on my target machine manually(copying inf, cat and sys).
    I want to make use of the visual studio 2013's deployment facility to deploy the driver automatically. But when I try to add the target computer(with administrative account) it failed with error message "The account credentials used to connect to the
    target computer could not gain administrator access to the target computer. Try using the built-in Administrator account".
    what possibly could be wrong?

    Pavel The host machine is on a domain(say ABC) and I am logged In as the domain administrator. On The target machine I am logged in as the local administrator. Now while adding the target computer from visual studio I am asked for the administrator account
    credentials and I am providing the local administrator credentials there.
    Pavel I found it is necessary to install "WDK Test Target Setup x64-x64_en-us.msi" on the target machine which I had not run. Once installing that I passed through the previously mentioned steps and after performing few installations target machine
    got rebooted. And then the deployment process hanged on step a "Attempting to connect...". Tried this for multiple times but result in to the same problem.

  • Can we develop a solution in Visual Studio 2012 and still deploy it on BizTalk 2010?

    Can we develop a solution in Visual Studio 2012 and still deploy it on BizTalk 2010? or Is it that solutions developed in VS 2012 have to be deployed only to BizTalk 2013?
    Thanks

    BizTalk 2010 projects are not compatible with Visual Studio 2012. To use Visual Studio 2012 with BizTalk 2010 projects, you must install
    BizTalk 2013 on the computer that has Visual Studio 2012. The first time you open a BizTalk 2010 project, it is automatically upgraded to the BizTalk 2013/Visual Studio 2012 project system

  • Adding Columns to the matrix in SAP B1 user form using Visual studio 2010

    Hi,
    Using Visual studio 2010, I have created a SAP B1 user form( b1f ) with one matrix.Matrix is having 5 columns. Its working properly. Later, I want to add few more columns. Then I added columns to the matrix as I have created columns initially. But, it does not saves.
    i.e, Whenever I run, In B1 I could see only old columns. Newly created columns are not showing.So, I closed the .net project and opened again. Created columns are not showing in visual studio b1f itself. So, I created again and saved. But, its not saving.I tried it many times.
    What I am missing?
    Any help is appreciated.
    Thanks in advance,
    Parvatha Solai.N

    Hi Parvatha,
    Are you using B1 Studio? Anyway try to clean the solution first then rebuild it. This would re-copy files to the output directory, that contain your changes.

  • Adding c# project dll to gac without visual studio(gacutil)

    Orchestration project calls a method of c# library project. I tried to include the c# project dll in the itemgroup, but the btdf is failing saying the dll is missing. So I have created a setup project with the primary output taking the c# project,
    so it created a msi and I ran that first then followed by btdf. the deployment then worked without errors. This however, resulted in an issue. The component dll is not added to gac, so orchestration is not calling the c# method as part of the orchestration.
    I do not see the dll in the gac(c:/windows/assembly). I do not have visual studio installed so could not use the gacutil. Is there anyway I can add to the gac. running the msi should add but not seen in the c:/windows/assembly.
    Is there anyway I can add to gac?

    Can you paste here your Itemgroup?
    You need to add it like below:
    <ItemGroup>
