ADI Journal - Journal Date

All,
Client is using ADI to upload Journals into Oracle General Ledger. We have to restrict backdated entries. Is there a way to default Journal date to the system date and removing the access to this field to the user.
If it is not possible in ADI, is there a workaround in GL.
Regards,
Kiran

ADI stores the name of the database you signed on to when creating the Journal Template. Have the second user create or modify their database name to the same as yours and you will find that they can use the template.

  • Invoice GL Date vs Journal Accounting Date

I created an invoices in AP. The invoice date and GL date for the invoice is 12-JAN-10. I ran create accounting process. A journal was created in GL. The accounting date for this journal is 31-JAN-10. Why the accounting date for the journal is not the same as GL date of the invoice (12-JAN-10)? Why did system changed the accounting date to the last of the month?

    Octavio,
In our case the accounting date is in past like June 2008.What could be the problem.
We used to fix this using Correct Journal Import Data form. Now after applying some patches these fields are grayed out.
    Can you pl help.

  • Cash Journal- Due Date

please i need your advice in how use or determine the due date for vendor lines posted from the cash journal?
EX: we paid an employee advance payment posted with SP. G/L indicator X from the cash journal, when he returns a excess money we must determine if he is late or paid before the due date.
Edited by: Mohamad Aly on Apr 26, 2010 3:01 PM

    Hi ,
As per the issue that you are having , in cash journal the payment terms that are entered in the vendor master do not work in cash journal . it always considers the current day of posting as the due date .
In case if you want to enter a due date manually then in column " Document date in document " enter the relevant due date that you want to view in the vendor master for eg. if on 26.04.2010 you want to enter a document whose due date should be 01.05.2010 then in that case you will have to change the document date in document as 01.05.2010 then , when you post the document in vendor account - FBL1n you can view the due date as 01.05.2010 .
Hope this would suffice the purpose .,
    cheers ,

  • Web ADI GL Journal Template - Journal Line Number

Is anyone know if you can add the journal line number to a web adi journal template.
Our users create journals in a spreadsheet and upload in to Oracle vua web adi. They print a hard copy of the journal in Excel ADI template format as well as an output from Oracle of the journal to which their backup is attached. This is required for our audit/SOX requirements.
Our users/audit review team are frustrated that the order of the lines in the adi xls file is not the same as in the actual oracle journal.
Having looked at the journal template document I cannot find the journal line number as an option when creating the adi template. Is there any other way of ensuring that the line number in excel is the same as in Oracle (aside from re-ordering the excel lines into code combination order).
We are running on Oracle Applications : 11.5.10.2
    Thanks

As per (How To Add Line Number Column To Journal Entry Webadi Template [ID 1102405.1]) this feature is not available in R12 so this implies that it is not available in 11i.
    Thanks,
    Hussein

  • How do you query the journal drilldown data using SQL

    Hi All,
Appreciate if anybody can assist me into querying the database via SQL query so the journal data includes sub ledger detail.
I found that I cannot link the GL journal batch id (etc.) with the existing sub ledger (AR and AP). Is there any way to perform this query, if not, how can the drill down works?
I needed the guidence since there are certain info that is not available in the journal (rct number, PO no, check no etc). I need to ensure that the data I have is tally with GL journals.
Reasons: doing some recon download to be feeded to a third party system.
    Thanks.

Hi there are mappings for the reference fields from AP and AR, so you can buid up the links there. Just look at the reference fields of gl_je_lines and try to identify which is valuable for you.

  • IDCS3 DIary/Journal - Adding dates

I've hunted and hunted and now I've come to asking help, I have already a small calendar and calendar based pages from Exchange but I'm struggling to find anything to help me, I want to create a diary/journal but I don't know how to add all dates for a year on each page, can this be done in ID?

Actually, your best bet is probably to get an InDesign Calender Script. There's quite a few good ones out there.
Most of these scripts will automatically generate a calender grid, a page for each month, and automatically input the correct day number on the correct day of the week.

    Hi Amit,
Please suggest the way that journal import will not fail because of one wrong journal entry for other correct entries will imported successfully.
I am not quiet sure whether this is recommended and achievable, hopefully other experts may have a valuable input
We are deleting the unbalanced record from GL_INTERFACE and journal import works fine.
For clearing the incomplete imported Journal l entries, Please try running the program "Delete Journal Import Data" as GL user. And select the respective request ID which failed.

    Dear All,
We are using the Webservice(B1WS) to navigate the Journal Entry data. its showing the error message '坨ᷧymentMen' in Enum 'PaymentMeansTypeEnum', the valid values are '', 'CHK', 'BTR', 'CAS', 'CRD'" and record is not navigated.
I analyzed that Journal Entry in SAP Business One. Its generated for the Outgoing Payments.
Please suggest me where i have the wrong step.
    Best Regards,
    Netra Pal

    Dear Gordon,
    Thanks for the reply.
The Journal Entry navigation is working with other JE documents. Its creating the problem in those JE which are generated for Outgoing Pyaments.
I have gone through the JE web services there is only one variable "FCCurrency". I think that its not related to currency codes.
Waiting for a positive reply from you.

  • Oracle GL error during journal import- ICM DOWN

    Hi all,
I hit an error regarding the Concurrent Manager - Oracle GL during the journal import from GL_INTERFACE table. I've already populate the table with a set of dummy values. i've run the journal import to import the value from the table. i've clicked on correct and search for the Journal Import Data, but Oracle Application prompted me an error - FRM-40350: Query caused no record to retrieve, So i view the request, each and every of the request ID's phase is "Pending" with its status as "Stand by". I checked on the diagnostics and the error code was as following
    CONC-DG-INACTIVE ICM DOWN
This request may have to wait on one or more of the following requests to complete before it can begin execution:
i have 2 doubts.firstly i was thinking could it be that i couldnt search for the Journal Import data at Journal: import - Correct was due to the Concurrent manager was down, thus prompting error FRM-40350? please advise. Secondly is that does CONC-DG-INACTIVE ICM DOWN suggest me to startup the concurrent management script? please advise
    thanks in advance

  • What are the benefits of losses of convertin HFS+ to journaled?

Hello! Dirung the recovery process converted my HFS+ to HFS+ journaled. Is this good or bad? What are the benefits or losses of journaled?
PS Initially there was a Mountain Lion installed on HFS+ non-nournaled. But upon recovery Lion (10.7) installed and during installation it demanded me to convert partition from HFS+ to HFS+ journaled.

Journaling does not hurt you, it only helps.  It makes sure that all file metadata operations are performed on the correct order, and in the event of a crash, power failure, cable pulled out of external drive, etc... that any file metadata changes occuring at the moment will either be properly completed or rolled back so that the file system is correct.
File metadata are time stamps, ownership, permissions, storage allocation, directory entries, etc... Everything except you actual data.
Without journaling, the current huge terabyte sized drives with millions of files on them would require scanning every file looking at every bit of file system metadata after a crash to make sure that the file system integrety was correct before allowing the drive to be mounted for your use.
This full file system check (fsck) can take hours.   The journal replay takes seconds.
    You WANT the Journal.

    Hi  SAP Users,
           Need help for this ...

Can somebody teach me on how to create a code in SP that will trigger the module to avoid adding the journal entry data if this field in UDF is blank. And where specifically in SP will I put the code if I am pertaining on Journal Entry module

    Hi,
    Try Below...
    IF @transaction_type = N'A' AND (@Object_type = N'30')
    BEGIN
if Exists ( select T0.TransId from OJDT T0 where  T0.Transtype='30' and
    t0.transid = @list_of_cols_val_tab_del and (T0.UDF-NAME is null or T0.UDF-NAME= ''))
    BEGIN
    SELECT @Error = 1, @error_message = N'Please select UDF Name !!'
    END
    END
Apply this in sql server >>choose Data base>>Programmbility>>stored procedure>> SP Transaction notification>> Copy above code and paste and execute
Note: Above code is for header level UDF. If your udf is row level then just replace the table name OJDT by JDT1 in above code

  • Disable journaling

    Hi.
I purchased a WDTV Live with a WD external Hard drive.
The external when connected to the home network is read only.
Threads have suggested I disable journaling.
I am running 10.9.2 and disk utility no longer has MacOs Extended as an option.
    Any thoughts?

OK, so most people say it's a Good Thing! A Gift From Apple!
So you don't think I'm not going to gain anything in iMovie '09 speed for rendering/encoding/multiplexing/burning. Like I said, I've been having issues & am in the middle of a Large Project. So I might keep it off for this Third Part of the Project & see if anything improves. If it does not help, I will in fact enable it again.
Here is something I read which inspired me to create this Post in the first Place:
    READ BELOW:
"The problem is that journaling takes time. Enough time that it is worth considering turning journaling off on all your media drives. The benefit is that you get faster performance. The disadvantage is that in the event of a crash, you don't have the protection journaling provides. On the third hand, hard drives with journaling turned off are in no worse shape than hard drives running under OS 10.2.
In my experience with a wide variety of media clients, disk directory problems almost never arise with secondary drives, they are almost exclusively the domain of the boot disk.
As Apple writes: "If your [computer] contains high-bandwidth usage data files, such as large video, graphics, or audio files, you may want to weigh the benefits of using journaling against the performance needed to access your data. In most cases, the impact of journaling upon data access performance are unnoticeable to users, but its implementation may not be practical for [computers] where data access demands outweigh its benefits.
My recommendation? Leave journaling turned on for your boot disk and turn it off for all secondary drives (both internal and external) that are used to store media files. For external drives that store data, not media, turn journaling on." Written By Larry Jordan
I'm curious to know why baltwo disables it. baltwo? Did you read this same article?
