I understand your frustration, but you need to understand something as well:  Other people won't want to help you if you insist on giving attitude.
I'm a software engineer with 37 years experience and a published Windows expert, as well as a Photoshop expert.  If you insist on not accepting what I say I do actually have better things to do.
However, if you really do want to resolve your problem, I'm going to try one more time.
What we know so far is the following:
You have Windows 7 Pro on a Dell Precision Workstation.  You haven't said whether it's Windows 7 Pro x64, but I'll assume you have the 64 bit OS.
Photoshop CC worked for you as recently as 2 weeks ago, after which it stopped working.
You've apparently been able to remove and reinstall Photoshop via the Creative Cloud Cleaner tool, then presumably you installed the Photoshop CC (2014) software via the Creative Cloud application.
Photoshop won't start.  I don't know if it's crashing and emitting an error message or just silently not starting.
Correct me if I'm wrong so far, and please be very specific.
What you need to do next is to go into your Windows Application event log and look for error messages (with red icons) that describe what actually happened the last few times you tried to start Photoshop.  Specifically, to do this, do the following:
Click your Start button.
Type event
When Event Viewer comes up, click it.
Expand Windows Logs by clicking the little arrow to the left of it, then click on Application.
Scroll down through the list looking for the next message that starts with a red icon followed by "Error" and says something like "Application Error" the Source column, which corresponds in time to a failure to start Photoshop.
Copy the data shown in the General tab, and post it here.
Repeat the above two steps for several recent Error messages corresponding to Adobe software failures.

  • Please help in following case

Please help in following case u2013
Sales Quantity Contract has a quantity 75,000 Tons. The rate is 24.50$ so the total amount is 18327500.
But the actual quantity in order is 77,500 (2500 tons extra) . Now I would like to bill the extra quantity at a different rate (25$). Also in billing document I need two lines to mentioned break up of quantity and rate like u2013
    75000 X 24.50
    2500 X 25
How to deal with this situation in pricing / condition type?

    Hello,
You will have to insert another Line Item of the same Material with additonal quantity. This will ensure that you will have separate Line Items in Invoice also.
Now coming to Price. If your Price is entered manually in Sales Order, then you can easily enter different Price for each item (24.5 for 75000 & 25 for 2500). But this will not be the case & Price will be determined based on Condition Records.
Now, look for a free field in Sales Order, my suggestion will be either of - Material Pricing Group or Price Group or Customer Group or Price LIst. These feild are at Sales B tab at Item Level in Sales Order. I am sure one or two of these will not be used currently in your company.
Say you select Price Group. Goto IMG - Sales and Distribution - Basic Functions - Pricing - Maintain Price-Relevant Master Data Fields - Define pricing groups for customers. Here define a variable say 01 - Extra material.
Now insert this field in your Condition Table for Pricing & maintain condition record for the same. Thus while creating Sales Order, user will have to select 'Extra Material" in Price Group field in Sales Order & system will automatically determined Price.
    Hope this helps,
    Thanks,

  • Adobe abandoning FLASH??

My boss said he'd seen something in the paper about Adobe abandoning FLASH and is worried because we've been doing alot of our training development in Captivate.  Also he's concerned that future customers might have read something about it and not choose us because they believe FLASH is going away.
Anyone know anything I can tell my boss to calm him down?
    SUsan

    Hi Susan
As I understand it, Adobe has (or plans to) lay off about 700 workers. I've been seeing rumors fly yesterday about Flash. What seems to be the case here is that Adobe is backing away from a Flash Player for mobile devices in favor of HTML 5 and Apps. (Thanks Steve Jobs!)
I don't believe Flash is going away. Adobe has too much invested in the overarching Flash technology to just abandon it. So it would make sense that it would remain for things PC and Mac based, but not for smartphones and small devices.
These are just my own observations based off some notes I've seen in a behind-the-scenes forum for the Adobe Community Professionals group.
I'll try pinging the group and see if there is an "official" response you could point your boss to that may calm him.
    Cheers... Rick

  • Adobe CEF Helper multiple instances causing problems using newest CC  1.5.1.369

I just reinstalled all CC and Apps after a clean refresh wipe of PC.  Within one week I am having several crashes and lockups and other strange behavior while using Photoshop, Indesign and other apps.
The lockups have been getting progressively worse, starting with very short delays while switching between apps or even switching to desktop to mouse click a file icon there which seemed almost like my machine would get focused on whatever app I was in and would not immediately release when I switched to do other things.  Now the lockups are getting longer.  Photoshop is also not fully closing down.  So later if I reopen it, a photoshop process is still running in Task Manager and I must force it down before I can open a new file in a new instance of photoshop.
Today I had one complete crash of PS, as well as some strange lockup when I had two small ad files open.  We are talking 1/6th page ads - small.  I had them open side by side when it locks up and only thing I can move is the mouse curser which has changed to an "unallowed" icon (circle with slash). Rest of application and tools were locked up.  In one of the files it would let me click a layer in the file and it would jump around the page.   I checked Task manager and multiple CEF helpers were running around 30-50,000K private memory working set, and one of the CEF helpers was fluctuating between 13-20% or so of CPU usage.  I immediately ended that service and photoshop started working again and I was able to save the files.   I'm still noticing other problems like not being able to select multiple items at one time to copy/paste seen both in Indesign and Adobe acrobat pdf files.
I remember hearing about this issue long ago and checked the forums.  Low and behold the long time Adobe CEF Helper problem thread was closed by a staffer in Feb, 2014, stating the following:
    https://forums.adobe.com/thread/1235395?start=120&tstart=0
    Jeff A Wright Feb 14, 2014 8:37 AM (in response to Michael.Noble64)
Locking this discussion as the cause of the excessive usage of Adobe CEF Helper was addressed in version 1.1.2.232.  For full release notes please see Creative Cloud app for desktop | Release Notes -http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/release-note/cc-release-notes.html.
If you are experiencing difficulties with the Adobe CEF Helper please post a new discussion with the specifics of the behavior you are encountering.
I am having problems with the CEF helper and I have CC 1.5.1.369 as far as I can tell, on a fresh install a week old.
    System:
Windows prof 7 sp1 64bit, 32gb ram, SSD main drive and mechanical data drive
Items added to this PC are autodesk products and Adobe CC Apps.   I don't have a number of addons for CC apps like photoshop, just one plugin for photoshop called Geographic Imager.
Hopefully there is something more subtle I can try besides wiping my PC and reinstalling all the apps and settings again.  A pc refresh and install this time with up to date CC and Apps was meant to fix all my broken file associations issues from previous updates - which it did.  But was hoping not to end up with a dreaded CEF helper issue.  Any help would be appreciated as this seems to be getting worse daily.
Other note, I turned off Syncing of settings when I first started noticing issues.  Haven't tried much else besides ending CEF helper services when forced to.

I just want to note that my recommendations led my clients to purchase more than 5 licences of FMIS/AMIS througt the time.
As I see how low is the passion to react to any problem on Adobe side, I would have probably changed my mind.
This is really pain in the *** as any call to adobe official contact (taken on mind that to find one is a big quest by itself) lead just to reply "pay nasty amount for our consultancy Sir!" and it does not look any better here....
I am no novice on FMS/AMS platform, working with it more than 6 years throught many projects and I would not ask for some stupid questions which could be solved just by looking to documentation or could be solved by some performance eperience.
I am really upset for this :/

  • Error message in trying to use local content in Adobe Community Help of Flash Builder

    Hi,
I have set my Adobe Community Help application preferences of Flash Builder to 'Display local content only'.to Yes.
I also disabled my internet connection to use local help content only.
I get the following error message when trying to access any of the links from Help home page.
To view the requested page, connect to the Internet or deselect "Display Local Help content only" in Preferences.
I understand this is due to all the links point online HTTP urls.
But why cannot the local help content be accessed when it is already downloaded to local and the 'Display local content only' option is set to Yes?
This saves me a lot ot time otherwise using Adobe Community Help is painful even for a short period of time.
    Thanks,
    Ram Manoj Kongara.

    Hi, Ram -
To help troubleshoot your problem, can you please do the following:
In the Adobe Community Help application, go to Edit > Preferences.
    Select Local Content.
The list of Help packages downloaded locally appear. Make sure that the status of every Help packages reads “Current”. If the status of a Help package reads  "Out-of-Date”, select that Help package, and click Update to download the latest Help package. Note that to do this, you have to be connected to the Internet. Once you fully download the Help packages to your desktop, you can access Help offline.
One other thing that I would want you to check is the Adobe Community Help Client version that you are using. To check that, in the Adobe Community Help application, go to File > About Adobe Help. The build version should be 3.2.0.610.
Let me know if this helps. If the issue still persists, we can investigate further.
    Thanks,

  • Why can't we get Adobe Photoshop help on the weekends. If I buy it I should be able to use it.

Why can't we get Adobe Photoshop help on the weekends. If I buy it I should be able to use it.

    To all frustrated Photoshop users:
As has been pointed out, the Adobe Photoshop Forum is NOT staffed by Adobe employees (though a few engineers DO stop by, when they have the time), and we are but users, such as yourself. The difference is that many users here have decades of experience with Ps, and can often solve all sorts of issues, of a technical nature.
Ranting, and listing bad experiences with Adobe Technical Support (or Customer Support), will NOT reach Adobe - just other users, who might have also had negative experiences with Adobe T/S, but who are powerless to change anything, at a corporate level - also noted by others in this thread.
We, as users, have no access to any communications that you might have had with T/S - no phone logs, no case numbers, nothing. All that we have is what YOU provide us, regarding YOUR problem. In that vein, if you read this FAQ Entry, plus the one linked in Station_Two's Reply above, and clearly state YOUR problem with the program, someone will attempt to help you with it: http://forums.adobe.com/message/4587299#4587299
Please be patient, as we are all volunteers (even the Adobe engineers come here on their own time - it's most likely not part of their job descriptions), and drop by the forum, when we have a moment. Many users DO have "day jobs," and face client deadlines. They might not get by that often, and then with breaks in timing, that can extend for days. This is not a "live chat room," where "operators are standing by." However, with the number of contributing users here, it should not take too long, before someone DOES reply to your post. If they have questions, please answer them, to the best of your abilities, and do not hesitate to ask for clarifications, if you are not sure what they are asking, or where to obtain that information. Also, please be courteous, when replying to the users, who are donating their time - they get zero, beyond the satisfaction of helping other users get answers and solutions. If they DO help, which is likely, a simple "thank you," is the best that they can receive. If they DO help, please take a moment to let them know, and also use the "Correct," and "Helpful" buttons in the forum, to let Adobe Corporate know that you got help in the Adobe Forums - they DO count those numbers, though they do not monitor these forums.
Good luck, and many feel that the help FROM the Adobe products forums, is much better, than from Adobe Technical Support.

  • Updating Adobe Community Help files fails every time after starting

    Hello,
I e.g. go to «Support Center for Photoshop» from the menu within the app. Adobe Community Help starts up and tells me theres new content, do I want to download that. It seems to start the dl just fine, then reports an error «16882» (if I'm remembering it right).
Why? We have very fast very broadband internet connection and I use a 2011 27" iMac with max Gig RAM installed.
Any hints there would be appreciated.
    Thanks!

    Thanks, Mister Kapoor,

Seems Adobe Air or Cummunity help has gone cprrupt. Lets follow the below suggestions:
Step 1: Uninstall adobe air from Utilities and re-install the latest adobe AIR from "http://get.adobe.com/air/otherversions/"
Step 2: Follow "http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/842/cpsid_84215.html" and re-install the Community Help Air application.
Step 3: Restart the machine and launch adobe Community Help and try to install all the updates and check if it works fine.
    Hope that Helps!.

  • Remove old Applications from Adobe Community Help

With PSE9, Adobe Community Help was installed for the first time on my computer. As I have installed PSE9 before uninstalling PSE8, and afterwards uninstalled PSE8, I now see PSE8 and PSE9 in Adobe Community Help Client.
How can I get rid of applications no longer installed in the Adobe Community Help Client?
    Thanks
    Beat Gossweiler
    Switzerland

Mark, Iam using 3.5.0.23 which states it is completely up to date.
After removing the old CS5 suite and upgrading to CS5.5 I can report that ALL of the old community help for the old suite is STILL present along side the new documentation.
Although there is an option in "Local Content" to delete old documentation, this list does not correlate AT ALL to the documentation from the old suite listed in "Download Prefferences".
It isn't really relevent whether or not the old documentation listed in this section is downloaded or not. The annoying thing is that it's STILL listed. (In my case I had to go through and untick ALL of the old applications documentation).
Example "Adobe Media Encoder CS5" unticked, "Adobe Media Encoder CS5.5" ticked etc. etc.
This bias that your talking about obviously doesn't appear to work. The old documentation is still listed in "Download Preferences". Those options in the download section of the Adobe Community Help application should have been removed when I uninstalled the old CS5 suite (obviously an ommition). So something should be implemented in the Adobe Community Help application to enable users to "not see" those options if they do not have the relevent applications or suites installed. (They shouldn't really have to go through this list deciding which ones to tick and which ones to untick... after the suite is uninstalled, these options still remain ticked and continue to update along side the new applications causing a slow down of the community help application while it indexes the files and another burden on disk space and fragmentation and bandwidth). The help for an entire "master suite" is quite substantial. It really doesn't need to be duplicated in this way.

Yes, this is the right place to "Help application." I also updated "AdobeAir install" following what is said at this address:
    http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/help-application-doesnt-update.html
So I put the old version of Help application in the trash, but I still can not install the new version. All goes well, but in the end I get an error message in French saying that "the program has not been properly configured. Please contact the application vendor for assistance "
    I do not understand anything!

  • How do you get of hold of anyone at Adobe for help?  Cannot download Photoshop CC.

I could not update Photoshop CC from Creative Cloud desktop or online. I need Raw 8.3 to be compatible with Lightroom.  It is impossible to get a hold of anyone at Adobe for help.  Found their chat link once after much searching, someone finally answered then told me they were closing for the day and to call back the next day.  Could never find the chat link again.  Tried uninstalling PhotoshopCC because I saw that somewhere in the forum but still cannot download Photoshop CC.  Got error code U43M1U49 and said to retry or contact customer support.  Yeah right!  Totally frustrated with Adobe.  Anyone have any suggestions?

    Hi Triste,
If you're having difficulties getting updates for your tools using the Creative Cloud Desktop app, then you can try downloading them without it by using the direct links for the CC updates on Windows or on Mac OS, for all CC apps.
