Adobe Forms & SRM 4.0

We are trying to move from Smartforms to Adobe forms for PO output but we are running into issues when we try to set the PO output configuration as we can't find custom Adobe Form for selection. We are using SRM 4.0 so the first question would be "is this actually possible?" & the second would be how?

Please try to implement the BAdI BBP_OUTPUT_CHANGE_SF to change the smartform to Adobeform.
Use the parameter CV_ADOBEFORM.

    Goto transaction SPRO -> SAP Reference IMG -> SAP Supplier relationship
    Management -> SRM Server -> Cross Application basic settings -> Set output
    Actions and output Format -> Define Actions for Document output.
    maintain the action defentions for all purchasing documents for which the
    new forms are intended to be used in the above mentioned customizing.
    Save the customizing
    Step 2:
    Goto transaction SPRO -> SAP Reference IMG -> SAP Supplier relationship
    Management -> SRM Server -> Cross Application basic settings -> Set output
    Actions and output Format -> Condition-Dependent Document Output.

  • Adobe form to replace smartform in SRM 7

    Hello,
    We are in the process of utilizing the adobe server for form processing in our SRM 7 environment. In SRM 5.0 we have some custom Z smartforms for SRM documents. I am having the following questions:
    1) What are the steps to do a "smoke test" to make sure the adobe server is working as it should?
    2) Is there a graceful way of transforming the smartforms into adobe forms without re-designing them?
    3) What are the steps to configure the system so that the it prints adobe form instead of the smartforms? (I have read note 1264423. It doesn't seem to have too many details.)
    4) If adobe form would be exclusively used in SRM 7, is BADI BBP_OUTPUT_CHANGE_SF still relevant or should we deactivate it?

    What I didn't realize is this:
    By migrating Smart Forms, you can reuse them as PDF-based print forms. You can find the Smart Form migration tool in transaction SMARTFORMS.
    I have tried the migration tool. It did convert the old smartform to the new form/interface, but not without many errors. But at least we know that we don't have to start from scratch.

  • SRM PO Adobe Form

    Hello Frn's.
    I  am creating a z Adobe by copying a exisitng PO Adobe form (bbp_po_adb) .
    Beacuse i need some more fileds calculation, so have to  create a Z interface as well by copying a existing interface (if_bbp_po_adb). But then i need to implement a BADI name DOC_PERSONALIZE_BCS (Method  PERSONALIZE_PDF_DOC_PDFIF) with some filter value .
    But i got stuck in implemenitng BADI ....So request  you to please resolve the issue.

    Maybe this suggestion might help.
    In order to change the preview smartform based on certain conditions/parameters, there is a BADI                
    "BBP_OUTPUT_CHANGE_SF" which needs to be implemented. In your                    
    scenario, please implement this BADI and change the smartform name               
    based on the header process_type.                                                                               
    for example, in the BADI first call                                                                               
    call function 'BBP_PROCDOC_GETDETAIL'                                          
        exporting                                                                    
          i_guid   = iv_PO_guid                                                     
        importing                                                                    
          e_header = ls_header.                                                                               
    then check for ls_header-PROCESS_TYPE, if it is PO, then change the            
    smartform name to the one which you require.

  • Form size increases when ADOBE Form moved from DEV to QA

    Hi Gurus,
    I have a large PDF ADOBE Form developed in DEV but when I moved this Form to QA environment, I noticed the file size has been Doubled(from 2MB to 4MB). Please note that, this is not an interative Form. Can someone tell me why and how can I fix it. We are emailing this form and 4MB is too large.

    Well, after discussing it with SAP, we are still in the dark and don't know why this problem only occurs to one of our PDF outputs. however, the following might help you to cut some times looking for answers.
    1-It started after we changed the values in the Layout properties. We are not sure in which tab. We guess it was  "PREVIEW"
    2-After this, every time we made any changes to the Layout, the size was doubled until it became a major problem
    3-We contacted SAP for this issue and the respond was "Please refer to following note for installation/patches:
    1176858 / 1356871"
    4-We were also asked by ADOBE to download a zip file called "COMMON.zip" and install the COMMON file on our ADS server
    5-After installing the COMMON file on our server we were asked to run the ABAP program "FP_CHK_REPORT" on the FORM.
    6-The suggestion was to only check mark only common-001when running the ABAP, but we check marked all after found no results with only COMMON-001.

    8-we did all of the above but we had partial success, it reduced the size fro 7MB to 4MB
    9-Finally, we created the same Form from ground up without touching the Layout properties and the size turned up to be around 100KB.

  • Queries Related to Adobe Form

    Hi Friends,
    I have some queries related to Adobe Form. Our client is willing to replicate purchase order and shopping cart scenarios from SRM to Adobe Form.
    But I am not sure whether we can achieve the functionalities or not. Our client requires to know the below answers.
    1. He wants to know whether any sub screen can be developed in ADOBE form or not. For example, in PO, each line item has an account determination which has multiple entries (for example each and every line item will have more than 1 account assignments). In SRM the account assignment is entered in a second (sub) screen to enter multiple values. Whether this can be done in ADOBE form or not?.
    2. He wants to know whether the search help can be provided as same as ECC/SRM in ADOBE form or not. For example, when we select the vendor he does not want to bring the list of all the vendors from LFA1 table. He wants to restrict based on come condition such as company code and user should able to key in the company code to filter the vendors associated with that company code. How this can be done in ADOBE form.
    3. He wants to know, what is the best approach to develop either ADOBE form or portal page. Which one is feasible to develop cost effective and time consuming. Also he wants to know the performance impact of both approaches. Finally he wants to know the merits and demerits for both approaches (ADOBE Form and portal web page development).
    Friends it would be a great help to me if you can send me the answers for the following.

    1.Which equipment category do we choose, Q or P?

    Q is normaly used for Instruments,Lab equipments
    P also used for Production/process related equipments needs calibrations often
    2.While creating a maintenance plan,which category do we choose, maintenance order or quality maintenance order?

    Its all depends on config you have did. if Quality maintenance order should be linked to inspection type.can be used.
    we can not used maintenance order if it is not linked to inspection type 14.
    3.Is it that we can't do a time confirmation before results recording?If I try to do so,I get this message"No open operation recieving confirmation entries for order".

    You can do time confirmation after result recording, then UD.after UD ,order will be TECOed automaticlay.
    4.While I create my maintenance plan,I get this message, a counter could not be defined for the reference object.Why so?

    Check any measuring counters created for the equipments,
    5.After usage decision,if I lock my equipment for further use,the equipment has the status both AVLB and NPRT.Why?
    Ans:
    After UD, system changes the status NPRT for the equipments have PRT view only.
    if PRT view maintained in the equipment, system status remains AVLB.
    If you dont to use the equipment after UD-Reject,have to go development using user status.
    6.Can I create my calibration order manually and assign equipment task list.If so,how?
    Ans:
    Yes. you can
    Create task list with 300 inspection point, assign when u create order
    also you can have manual call in the maintenance plans.

  • Offline approval with Adobe forms

    Hi All,
    We have a case in which we need to send a Adobe interactive form as an attachment to approver's email address(outlook) and perform offline approval.
    Could you pls help me guiding how to achieve this?
    System is mySAP ECC 6.0.
    (I have heard that offline approval is available in SRM, but do not know about ECC6.0)

    Hi Akshay,
    SRM uses a program to simulate an offline approval.  It's not form based.
    Adobe forms are better.
    But at the end of the day any form is just a UI to enter and display data.  It's up to the programmer to decide what happens after the form is uploaded.
    There are tutorials on SDN in the Adobe section on how to upload the forms.  In the logic behind the upload you need to code in what happens next anyway - i.e. where the form data is to be stored in the system, whether a workflow event should be raised or whatever. 
    In ECC 6.0 you might want to try using the ISR/PCR technique with Adobe.  Where at least the WebDynpro application for viewing the forms are already created, and you put your logic for raising the workflow event in the QISR BADI. 
    You will probably still need to create a WebDynpro app to allow either mail upload or email receipt of Adobe forms.  Both of which are described in the SDN tutorials.
    By the way there is a Interactive forms with Adobe forum on SDN where you can put questions if you have any troubles with using the forms or developing a WebDynpro application around it.... but of course please work your way through tht tutorials first.

    Hi Priyank,
    Within the Action Profile BUS2201 you need to configure a new processing type: 'External Communcation'. Within this processing type you can configure your adobe form settings and linkaging
    Form name: 'BBP_PO_ADB_NL' (standard adobe form, view/create adobe forms via txn SFP)
    Form type: 'PDF-Based Forms'
    Format: BBP_PO_ADB_MAIL
    Personalization type: Recipient-Specific Variable Replacement
    We have configured output rules via txn BBP_PO_ACTION_CONF. Setting the 'external communication' processing type as the processing type for vendor output type 'mail' (changing the default 'Smart Forms Mail').
    Note: You require SAP Archivelink for archiving purposes, without it you can/should not activate archiving.

  • Error when starting Adobe Form

    I have an Adobe Form which works Ok in the development SAP Portal, but that, when I log in the production portal gives the following error:
    Error when reinitializing the form (I guess, it's Error al reinicializar el formulario, in Spanish)
    I think maybe there is something missing to transport, or some misconfiguration, but I haven't been able so far to find it...

    How many people can use Adobe Forms per license/how many computers can we download software to?

    Adobe FormsCentral is a web-based app so there is nothing to download - you access from the web browser.
    Each users who creates forms needs a license of FormsCentral. In a month or so you'll be able to by a team pack (5,10,25) at reduces prices for a larger group who wants to create forms.

    Yes the field page n of m is used normally for printing page numbers. But it won't display the current page of total pages by itself. You have to set the run time property to n (current page ) and m (Total number of pages). Carefully select the # (current page ) and ## (Total number of pages). Hope this works for you.
    My requirement is to have the user control on current page. For Example:
    Example for a Invoice with 5 PO items (stands on 2 pages) :
    1st  page is the letter : no page number
    2nd page is the 1st page of the 1st copy of the invoice : we should read u201C1 / 2u201D
    3rd page is the 2nd page of the 1st copy of the invoice : we should read u201C2 / 2u201D
    4th page is the 1st page of the 2nd copy of the invoice : we should read u201C1 / 2u201D
    5th page is the 2nd page of the 2nd copy of the invoice : we should read u201C2 / 2u201D
    Presently i cam getting the current page number for page 4th as 3 / 2 and for 5th page 4 / 2. I could able to control the total number of pages from print program. But when i am printing the second copy (4th and 5th pages), I couldn't able to control the current page number. I need to initialize the Current page count (4th page ) as 1.
    I have used the follwing java scripting:
    this.rawValue = wv_pages - xfa.layout.page(this)
    where wv_pages is total no of pages calculated from print program.
    Please help me in this regard with some formcal or java scripting conditions.

    I refered the link provided by you for testing the ADS configuration and it displayed a 2 page report.
    Is that mean that there is a problem in my form?
