Adobe SVN email format change

All,
We will be making a change to the way the subject line will read in the emails that are received from the Adobe Open Source Subversion commits. The hope is for the new format to avoid any further confusion, alarm  and in some cases screw-ups.  The change
should also aid in making email rules easier to define.  The new subject line will be prefixed as follows:
[ svn:PRODUCT ABBREVIATION-BRANCH NAME ] REVISION NUMBER: THE SUBJECT LINE
Product Abbreviations:
BlazeDS – bz
Flex – fx
Subject line example:
For a commit to Flex in the trunk:  [svn:fx-trunk] 9999: fixed some stuff
If you have your email rules setup to look for “[svn]” in the subject, I apologize for having you to recreate your email rules, but we think this change will make managing SVN mail better in the future.
This change will be taking place immediately.
Thanks,
Jim Murphy
Flex Release Engineer

This is great. It will totally help clear up what commits happen in flex trunk vs the i10/11 branches.
Great solution!

  • Cant access Blackberry ID due to email format changing.

hi, i'm posting this on behalf of my boyfriend who really isn't good with online things haha.
basically he can't access is blackberry id anymore due to the fact it was registered to a university email address which changed it's format, i think from a hotmail to an outlook account, but anyways this stopped him from receiving email to his phone and as it was the email he used for blackberry id it now says the email address is invalid, yet it is definitely the one he used to sign up with at the start. Is there a way to get blackberry id to accept the change informat of the email, i know it's something about how when you register an email to your phome it gets some kind of pin or something so if that format changes the pin wont allow the emails to come through. it all seems very confusing and as there is no contact phone number i can't ring up directly. does this mean i'm going to have to do a security wipe in his phone? this all started from an email saying he could no longer receive email from  that certain address due to change and not being able to verifty his email account any more. hopefully someone out there can understand my ramblings and  help aha. thanks.

  • Workflow Notification Email Format Change

    Hi,
Currently, the system already had a workflow which generated an email.
But the user wants to add in more fields and etc.
May I know where can I insert all the information I want?
    Thanks in advance for help.

    Hi,
Use the workflow container WFInitiator in your mail. it holds the PR creator name.
The second option is write a select query to select the field values ERNAM, EKORG, ERGRP using the PR No.
    use this code.
DATA : WA_TAB LIKE EBAN OCCURS 0 WITH HEDER LINE.
SELECT SINGLE * FROM EBAN INTO WA_TAB WHERE EBELN = OBJECT-KEY-NUMBER.
Now fields WA_TAB-ERNAM will hold to PR Creator name.
WA_TAB-EKORG will hold the Purchase Organization No.
WA_TAB-EKGRP will hold the purchase group no.
use the function module READ_TEXT to retrieve the value of line item text.
Then pass the values to task container using syntax
    SWC_SET_ELEMENT CONTAINER 'EKORG' WA_TAB-EKORG.
    SWC_SET_ELEMENT CONTAINER 'EKGRP' WA_TAB-EKGRP.
    SWC_SET_ELEMENT CONTAINER 'ERNAM' WA_TAB-ERNAM.
Do all this coding in a custom method.
Let me know if you have any queries.
    Regards,
    Raj

  • Email format

Without any warning, my wife's email format changed to the new email management tool being offered by Verizon. My email has renained as always and I do not want to change. How do we get her email changed back to the older format?

Unfortunately, there is no way to get back the classic E Mail.  Eventually everyone will be switched over and it will go bye bye!

  • Changing email format to UTF8

Is that possible to change the email format to utf8 before going out. Thank you

    Hi,
It is definately possible, but the process depends a bit on how your Office 365 identity setup looks like, and also what you actually want to do?
Do you want to change the logon username as well?
Are you using DirSync for provisioning accounts? If that is the case, it's in your on-premise Active directory you need to do the changes.
Here's a very quick example that sets primary email address for all users to
[email protected] (note that I'm not changing the logon address). I am also assuming that you have Displayname formatted as "Firstname Lastname". It will not remove any old
addresses, just set them as aliases.
    Get-Mailbox -RecipientTypeDetails UserMailbox| Foreach-Object {
    $DisplayName = $_.DisplayName.split(" ").tolower()
    $NewEmailAddress = "$($DisplayName[0]).$($DisplayName[1])@365lab.dk"
Write-Host "Old primary email address is $($_.WindowsEmailAddress), will change to $NewEmailAddress"
    Set-Mailbox -Identity $_.Alias -WindowsEmailAddress $NewEmailAddress -WhatIf
You need to remove WhatIf  from the set-mailbox cmdlet in order to do actual Changes...

  • Format changing when IDCS3 file exported to PDF

I am using Acrobat 8 version 8.1.2, and InDesign version 5.0.2.
I am noticing a very specific problem when exporting some files to PDF from InDesign.
We often have a format where we have a numbered list of right-aligned number, followed by some text, a leader line, and then another number at the end of the line. This is set up with a left indent and a first line left indent (rather than using the numbered list options, we are required to do it this way where I work), and then the necessary tabs later in the lines.
I am finding since we switched to IDCS3, that when I export to PDF, lines containing this format change in the PDF. The text that appears after the number in the front of the line is pushed over on top of the leader line, leaving a huge white space. On rarer occasions, it will move things in lines that have no indents, but contain tabs that aren't being used.
I have been able to get the files to export correctly by removing the left indent and first-line left indent and using tabs instead (or by removing unused tabs). But we have hundreds of files set up in this manner so going in and changing how they are all set up is problematic to say the least. Many of these are also multi-line and not using the indents means we have to manually tab lines over.
Is this a known issue? Does anyone know why this might happen and how I can prevent it?
I tried posting in the Acrobat forums and it was suggested since it's an export issue that I might get more help from the InDesign folks.

Given that the file is being exported to PDF and not going via a driver route, there really is no reason why changing the default printer should make a difference whatsoever in this particular case. Changing default drivers in Microsoft Office applications, yes, but for this situation, no. And since Acrobat doesn't change formatting, the issue sounds like some problem associated with InDesign. Please report this problem directly to Adobe Tech Support and be prepared to send them sample files. Thanks!

  • Format changes from one computer to another.....how come?

Just bought a new laptop.......I have been doing all my editing on the computer at home without a problem......all clips are saved in MPEG and everything works fine.....(ultimately posting them all on YouTube).  As I needed to get a new laptop anyway, I set it up so it would have plenty of giddyup to work on videos away from home.  When I copy the folder containing the video clips (all in MPEG) on the desktop at home and then copy the folder to the desktop on the new laptop, the clips have changed from MPEG to MOD format........This results in an error message when I try to preview the clip (in Windows Media Player) about being unable to find the app that created the clip......I can click "try it anyway" and the video will play but minus the audio.  I do all my previewing in Media Player to go through the clips quickly to sort out what I want to keep and what to toss out.
Why would the format change from MPEG to MOD when I copy the files from desktop at home to laptop?....anyone have any ideas?.....is there a phone number at Adobe that anyone knows of with a human on the other end that may be able to answer if I can figure it out here.  Thanks for any suggestions.

    Welcome to the forum.
    Now,
When I copy the folder containing the video clips (all in MPEG) on the desktop at home and then copy the folder to the desktop on the new laptop, the clips have changed from MPEG to MOD format
This is a new one to me. I have never seen any version of Windows that would change the file extension of any file copied, regardless of whether it was over a network, or to a new drive/folder.
Now, with the JVC cameras, their files are MOD and TOD (for HD material). Could you have copied the wrong folder? Otherwise, something really odd is going on. Could it be that you thought that you had copied a certain folder and actually got one with the same file names, but at the original level, when they were still .MOD?
    Good luck,
    Hunt

  • Numeric format changes depending on Driver Version

Scenario: JAVA application accessing Oracle 8.1.6 with last Oracle 9.2.0 JDBC Driver (classes12.zip) JDK1.3.
We have found numeric format changes using old oracle.zip and new classes12.zip.
With oracle.zip value 0.346 is returned
With classes12.zip value .346 is returned.
Why the format change depending on the driver version?
Is the new format the right one?
    Many thanks.

If you're working in CMYK, "softproof" your colors by choosing View->Overprint Preview. Note the keyboard shortcut
If you're working in RGB, make sure the Creative Suite color management is synced. This is done through Bridge. May I suggest looking that up in Adobe Help.

  • New Email Format

Rather than an idea, this is a plea for help because I was unable to find another place through Online Support to make a complaint.
The changes recently made to the email format (around 1/20/2011) for how to select email contacts when trying to send a message are HORRIBLE.  You can no longer select the email address from a list that contains the contact's actual name.  As I'm sure you are aware, many people don't use their actual names in their email addresses.  They use any combination of initials, numbers, and sometimes names that mean nothing to anyone but themselves.  In 2011, we all have hundreds of email contacts, and just like phone numbers, we don't keep them in our heads, but select them from directories that we pay for through our service contracts.  Since the changes were made, the list to select email addresses is just all mushed together with the email addresses running from one line to the other.  You can’t even see the entire address.  PLEASE go back to giving us a list that contains the person's actual names so we will be able to select contacts.  I am a triple-play customer who also has wireless service, but if some changes aren’t made, I will have to change to another provider.   I will have to cancel it all because since 1/20/2011 (the past 4 days) I have been unable to send several emails because I don’t know people’s email addresses;  I need to see their name beside it.  Today, we all use email, texting, etc. to contact our friends and colleagues.  I’m sure I can’t be the only person who dislikes this or who has complained.  And, it’s not merely a matter of disliking the new way, it is unusable; Verizon is causing me to lose communication with my contacts. Whoever made the decision to change the selection of email addresses to this new way is a terrible designer and, at the very least, should be reprimanded.  AND, I hate the way these severe changes are always made to the email access without any warning or instructions on what the changes have been or how to use them.   Please provide a more user-friendly environment.

I have to agree with most of the opinions mentioned here. The new email format is absolutely more cumbersome to use, not very practical, and doesn't perform as well as the old version. It also looks ugly and confusing.  All the teeny-tiny window areas in which to view anything is horrible. I tried changing my Settings in my Mail area, however, after half an hour on three  separate occasions, of trying to 'SAVE' my settings, I gave up. I cannot change my email settings to a "Classic View". Just doesn't work.
My husband and I were thinking of going FIOS but after viewing and trying to use this new email design, we are having second thoughts.  Optonline is looking pretty good and we will be checking them out instead.  Too bad, we've been with Verizon a long time. I guess some think these new changes were an improvement. Not me!

  • Adobe id email versus a created email for forms central use

so I have my main adobe id (email address) and purchased my own forms central subscription using it.  I then had my customer purchase their own forms central account with thier own user id (email address).  THEN I actually created a unique email address on my own computer for my customer so that their form confirmations would go there instead of mixing into my personal email.  HOWEVER -- the forms are not functioning properly when using that created email address as a form creator id.  The forms can be built and saved and all the settings are set correctly.  Responses are functioning and going through to the forms central database, and I GET THE EMAIL CONFIRMATIONS onthe created email, BUT the collaborator is not getting them at her address, despite the settings showing they are showing to be routed there.  What is up?  The ONLY thing that has changed from my first test forms (in which all notifications went properly where they needed to go) to my now malfunctioning notifications is the author email (not my "real" adobe id, but the email address I created for the author purpose).  Can y ou help?

Can you please share the form with me ([email protected]) so we can investigate the issue.
    Thank you,
    Roman

  • Why did I receive a request from Adobe Systems Incorporated to change my password?

I received a email from Adobe Systems Incorporated to change my password.  I changed my password, then received another email that stated that I had changed my password and the if I did not request the change to contact Adobe System Incorporated.

The same thing happened to me.
Yesterday, when I logged in, I was told that I HAD to change my password which is understandable, because Adobe was recently  hacked and nearly three million accounts were compromised.
    See: http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,2817,2425215,00.asp
I changed my password at that time, because I had no other choice.
This morning, I received an e-mail from adobe, telling me that I had to change my password because of the recent hacking, etc.  This probably means that whatever automated system they're using to inform members hadn't been updated to take into account those who had just changed their passwords.
In any event, since I had just changed my password--and supposedly Adobe is no longer being hacked--I  just left the new password as-is.  But, it's probably a good idea, going forward, to change passwords on a regular basis--say once every few months.  Most sites tell you to do that.

  • Provisioning Password Email Formated Incorrectly

The Provisioning Password email format is being generated incorrectly for some of the requests.
    User ID: CARRIETA
    Password: AhB8SJSAPSystem: EQA-130
The password and the system information are conjoined. This creates a password that is invalid and has caused some frustration with the user community. Not all of the Provisioning Password emails are generated in this manner. The majority of them are created correctly with the 3 lines of information
    User ID:
    Password:
    SAP System:
Has anyone seen this before? Any insight is appreciated.
    Thanks

We had this problem with 5.2. We finally figured out that when a  "  >  " sign was in the middle of the SAP-generated password, that character and the rest of them in the password were removed, and the next line started where that character should be.  This is not an SAP problem -  it is the format of the mail - HTML. If you forward the message, you can see the entire password.
We also had poor users who had an equal sign " = " as the first character in their initial password and thought the password started at the next character ( Password: =Ab12Cd$  was interpretted as AB12Cd$   Instant lock)
Our solution was to prevent SAP from generating any special characters in its passwords. Not only did this prevent the truncated password email, but it was much easier for new SAP users to enter an initial password that had letters and numbers only in it.
The table to change is PRGN_CUST. Add a value GEN_PSW_MAX_SPECIALS of 0 to prevent any special characters.

  • New message notification email format

Received several forum message notifications this morning with a new format, hopefully just a transient glitch
The new format had lots of blank lines interspersed with the first few lines of text, pushing the Subject, Author
and link lines off the bottom of the window, requiring a scroll down to see them.  Makes reviewing the notifications
much slower.  Any chance this is an aberration and we will get the old format back?
    Thanks.

    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

Never occurred to me that someone would embed pictures in an email.
It sure looks like it is related to embedded graphics, but when I look at the message source
there are no links, just text with lots of newlines.
Client is Firefox 3.0.4.  Worked fine until this morning, then all of a sudden the format changed.
Don't see an option to display inline graphics, not that I would want to.
