Advantage of terriotrie management

Hi what is the advantage of territory management
Regards
madhavi

Hi ,
As per my knowledge Territory management has multiple advantages
1.Mapping of employees becomes easier if HR master is not there.
2.Employee determination happens via set access sequences.
3.The best advantage is the regionwise mapping of the employees dedicated to Marketing.
The logical flow of employees once mapped thorugh Territory management gives a clear business oriented picture of the employee heirarchy in the organisation.
Cheers!

  • Cannot Select Both "Manually manage music" and "Sync ringtones" for iTunes

iTunes won't let me sync when both "manually manage music and videos" and "sync ringtones" is checked. If I choose "manage music and videos" first, add my music, then check "sync ringtones" all my music that I sync'd is deleted. The only way it worked for me was to sync the ringtones first without any music in the iPhone then checking "manually manage music and videos" afterwards but the problem is that once the "manual manage music and videos" is checked the "sync ringtones" isn't checked anymore so if I decide to add a ringtone later on I have to check "sync ringtone" causing my music to be deleted from the iPhone. This is a bad glitch Apple please fix it!

If you manually manage music, to get ringtones on your phone, you have to drag them to the "actual iphone icon" in the device pane window, on the left side in itunes.
    FYI:
Since the iphone DOES NOT support disk mode(like some ipods), there is no advantage to manually managing music, IMO.

  • Manually Manage Music And Keep Ringtones?

How can i do this i really hate iTunes right now
i made some ringtones with audacity but i cant sync them manually i have to make it so my iPhone only syncs with my iTunes like automaticaly which i dont like cause i don't save music to my mac i just add it to my iPad iPod iPhone etc and delete the music from my laptop
    is there anyway around this?
i really dont like keeping music on my macbook pro and the ringtones are korean so i cant buy them from the store -_-
    thx

  • Workspace Manager and HTML DB

    Hi Folks,
I was wondering if an HTML DB application can take advantage of
Workspace Manager features, I mean, work with versions inside the database.
The idea is, validate the user login and redirect it to an specific workspace ("version") of the database. Thus, I can control the data inserted by each application user, validated it and then promote it to the live database.
    TIA,
    Luis Paolini

    Hi,
Yes you should be able to do this. The versioning of the table will be transparent to html db. When a table is versioned, the original table is renamed, and a view is created in its place with the original name. Any sql statements running against the original table, will also be able to be run against this new view.
The creation, merging, refreshing, etc of workspaces would need be handled in the same way as any other pl/sql statement being executed by html db.
You would also be able to create a logon trigger, which based on the user logging in, would be able to place the user in an appropriate workspace.

  • New to knowledge management

    Hi
Iam new to this knowledge mangement in portal...Iam not able to see the knowledge management tab in the portal,,,Please help which role i need to add to this  user. Please provide the step by step documents  . What are the features , advantages of Knowledge management.what are all cases we will use this KM.
    Thanks in advance
    Regards
    Sushma

    Hi Sushma,
Knowledge management & TREx are installed comes along with portal. We cannot install KM on its own.
The main advantage of KM is to store the files and documents in a structured manner as per your requirement. TREX is a search engine which helps in searching the doucmetns in KM content.
Collaboration is a feature where all portal users can connect each other and share their views based on the collaboration rooms, sending mails from portal, messenger service. etc.....
For KM Configuration with TREX Integration
    https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/706d054d-da24-2b10-f18a-fc82faf6468e
Knowledge Management, TREX, and Collaboration How-to Guides for SAP NetWeaver 2004
Once KM & TREX is installed, you can see the KM content tab under  content Administrator role. In Km content you can see various standard repositories which comes along with KM installation. You can create your own KM repositories in portal. For that search in SDN, you will get lot of documents.
You can also work with collaboration like room is created based on room templates. The content in the room will be stored in the KM content dynamically.
    Hope that helps you.

  • Manual managing of music & iphone restores

    hi!
a minor query: i manage my music manually on my iphone, so every time a restore is required it clears all the music and i have to go back and find all the stuff i want to put on there again and move it over. it's a major pain. i'm wondering if there's a way to avoid this happening. backing up doesn't help because it only backs up the stuff i'm syncing.
can anyone help? many thanks in advance.

The main "advantage" of manually managing a traditional iPod is that you can connect it to more than one library, say your computers at home and at work, and selectively add or remove content from the device. A second, though potentially dangerous, advantage is that you can remove items you've synced to the iPod to free up space on your hard drive. Of course this leaves no backup for when the iPod fails as many tales of woe in these forums can attest.
There are two major differences between media management on an iPhone and earlier Apple devices:
    1. Media/Apps content on an iPhone can only be managed from a single library, even when "Manually managing" the content.
    2. Any content that is already on the device will be removed it there isn't a corresponding file in the local library when you update the device.
Between them these undermine both "advantages" of manual management. It is much easier to create a playlist in iTunes that contains the tracks you want on your device and automatically sync with that. And once you've switched to auto sync you can also take advantage of smart playlists that update themselves, e.g. include your 10/20/30 most recently added/played/updated albums etc. Added to which play counts, dates & ratings now get synced between your library and your device.
BTW, as far as I can tell,
    3. The iPhone does not support disk mode.
is an independent fact and is neither a cause or consequence of the two behaviours described above, despite the oft-made assertions in these forums that lack of disk mode "explains" why you can't manaually manage from more than one computer. Disk mode allows Explorer/Finder access to the filing system of the device independently of iTunes, however with or without it iTunes is always able to manage content on the device.

  • Net Manager vs Configuration Assistant

    Hi.
What's are the common tasks, or otherwise the differences, between these two utilities?
I know that both can be used to configure the listener, as well as adding service names.
Is there a big advantage that Net Manager has over Configuration Assistant? It seems the former gets a lot more explanation in the docs / books.
    TFI Friday.
    Thanks.
    DA

The netca is a simplistic wizard for the simplistic cases of add a listener, set up tnsnames.ora . The net manager is the full utility.
It's not surprising that Net Manager, with about 100x the functionality, gets more time in the manuals.
The advantage of netca is that it is simplistic. People who get confused by options and needing to think, will need to think less with it.

  • Explain local manage tablespace and dictionary manage tablespace

    hi all,
kindly help me to understand local manage and dictionary manage tablespace
i have read search result and oracle corporation book still unable to understand
what i know that local is managed by bitmap(no redo) and dictionary is managed by dictionary(generates redo) plz explain this as well
and also suggest me some documentation.
    thanks
    Navin

    Navin,
These are excerpts from Oracle documentation
    Dictionary Managed Tablespace_
If you created your database with an earlier version of Oracle, then you could be using dictionary managed tablespaces. For a tablespace that uses the data dictionary to manage its extents, Oracle updates the appropriate tables in the data dictionary whenever an extent is allocated or freed for reuse. Oracle also stores rollback information about each update of the dictionary tables. Because dictionary tables and rollback segments are part of the database, the space that they occupy is subject to the same space management operations as all other data.
    Lcaolly Managed Tablesapce_
A tablespace that manages its own extents maintains a bitmap in each datafile to keep track of the free or used status of blocks in that datafile. Each bit in the bitmap corresponds to a block or a group of blocks. When an extent is allocated or freed for reuse, Oracle changes the bitmap values to show the new status of the blocks. These changes do not generate rollback information because they do not update tables in the data dictionary (except for special cases such as tablespace quota information).
Locally managed tablespaces have the following advantages over dictionary managed tablespaces:
Local management of extents automatically tracks adjacent free space, eliminating the need to coalesce free extents.
Local management of extents avoids recursive space management operations. Such recursive operations can occur in dictionary managed tablespaces if consuming or releasing space in an extent results in another operation that consumes or releases space in a data dictionary table or rollback segment.
The sizes of extents that are managed locally can be determined automatically by the system. Alternatively, all extents can have the same size in a locally managed tablespace and override object storage options.

  • Implementing travel management.

    Hi friends;
We are implementing travel management in ess where the employee will create a request for reimbursement and then the concerned finance department person will approv or reject the request and then the respective infotypes will be updated.
    We are using portal 6.0 and r/3 4.7c .
    1. Now is there any standard functionality available for this . Like are there any standard iviews for the same  in portal and do
we   need to install any business packages for this on portal and is any patch required to be applied on r/3.?
    Please suggest.?
    2. Also let me know what would be the advantage for travel management  if we upgrade to ecc 6.0?

  • I need help switching back to iPhoto

In February of this year I switched from iPhoto to Aperture for very specific reasons. My laptop's hard drive was running out of space, as it was housing my photo library that was quickly approaching 25,000 photos and pushing about 30 Gigabytes, and I wanted to take advantage of Aperture's ability to store photo masters on an external drive.
So why switch back? When I described why I had switched and my experiences doing so back in February I had said that I ran into many problems all of which I was able to solve save two:
"The two things I have yet to solve, which are rather large things: 1) Spotlight can no longer find my photos since switching to [edit: from] iPhoto. I am really not sure where to start with fixing this so I think I’m just going to have to ask someone. 2) Reorganizing my keywords in Aperture (since I had them set up in iPhoto) is impossible. When I bring up the Keywords HUD, I’m greeted with all of my keywords residing subordinately to a master keyword of 'iPhoto'. When I try to access the keywords that are “below” iPhoto Aperture freezes. Perhaps I have too many keywords (I do have an awful lot). I’m not sure how to solve this one yet either. Maybe there is a raw .plist file that I can manually edit (and I am willing to do so)." -- Me.
After using Aperture for the past 3+ months I've yet to resolve either of these issues. Recently there was an update to Aperture from Apple that, according to the documentation for the update, was supposed to help resolve my second issue with having too many keywords for Aperture to handle - but it hasn't helped much. So since switching to Aperture I've not tagged more than maybe fifty photos, which is discouraging because I know that once I switch back to iPhoto I'm going to be busy tagging photos again.
So I suppose you could say I'm switching back for two main reasons. First, I want it to be much easier to tag my photos since that is probably the single most important thing to me and the experience with iPhoto and Keyword Manager ( http://www.bullstorm.se/KeywordManager.php ) is far superior to that of using keywords in Aperture. Second, I want my photos to start showing up in Spotlight searches again. I'm more than willing to deal with the caveat, albeit a rather large one, that I won't have my photos with me wherever I go anywhere but that they'll forever reside on my firewire drive.
    What I need help with...
When I open iPhoto I see all of the previews for the photos that I had the day I switched to Aperture. However, the originals have been moved by Aperture onto my firewire drive - so when I click on each photo all I get is a ( ! ) symbol. The previews still reference a file that does not exist yet the iPhoto database still retains all of the relevant metadata (date/time, keywords, comments, etc) that I had worked so hard to put into iPhoto. I need to retain this information and somehow get the originals back into place so that iPhoto sees them again.
What I thought about doing was this: 1) Somehow restore the originals for the almost 25,000 photos into the place where iPhoto thinks they should be. 2) Move the entire library to my external firewire drive. 3) Import the remaining images that I've taken since switching to Aperture into iPhoto.
Since I have Aperture store my photos by date - importing only the images that I've imported into Aperture should be a piece of cake. I do not need to retain any metadata from Aperture since I've only tagged a few photos in Aperture and all of the other information I may need should be on the original file (like date taken, etc.). I know I'm going to lose a lot of edits that I've done like cropping, rotating, color balancing, red-eye reduction, etc. but I'm more than willing to lose all of that if it means that I can pick up where I left off and get back into the swing of things in iPhoto.
I've Googled like crazy and haven't found someone doing exactly what I'm trying to accomplish so any help with my current situation is greatly appreciated. I've also posted this on my blog http://cdevroe.com/notes/back-to-iphoto/

    cvdevroe
    2) Reorganizing my keywords in Aperture (since I had them set up in iPhoto) is impossible. When I bring up the Keywords HUD, I’m greeted with all of my keywords residing subordinately to a master keyword of 'iPhoto'.
Bear with me, my terminology may not be right. I'm heading in the opposite direction, and one of the advantages i see to Aperture is that I've got the same advantages in Keyword management as I have with KM in iPhoto.
Have you tried re-organising them using the control bar: Below the thumbs there's a drop down menu, by default it shows Photo Descriptors. Click on it and Select 'Edit Buttons'. You can merrily re-organise your Keywords in this window, and even have your changes reflected in live in the HUD.
As to the Spotlight searching, I'm afraid someone else will need to help on that one. Personally - and it's a regular on the iPhoto forums - I've never had much luck getting Spotlight to search within iPhoto for keywords, apart, of course, from using the search window in the iPhoto Window. I suspect a system-based search of iPhoto keywords is simply not possible.
What I thought about doing was this: 1) Somehow restore the originals for the almost 25,000 photos into the place where iPhoto thinks they should be.
That will work, but they'll need to be exactly as they were.
    2) Move the entire library to my external firewire drive.
Easily done, after you've copied it over launch iPhoto holding down the option (or alt) key and choose 'Locate'. Navigate to the new location and that''ll be your default iPhoto Library Folder thereafter.
    3) Import the remaining images that I've taken since switching to Aperture into iPhoto.
    That should work too.
But the key is, can you return the iPhoto Library Folder exactly as it was, otherwise you'll need to create and populate a new library - and that will inevitable mean losing your keywords in iPhoto too.
FWIW, I need to keep iPhoto going for others in the household who are daunted by Aperture. My solution is a referenced library pointing towards the iPhoto Library Folder / Originals folder.

  • Multiple instances of the same entity bean?

I am designing a J2EE application that is made up of a number of separate components that each have a well-defined responsibility. Each component is made up of one or more J2EE components (web clients and EJBs). I want to design the application such that it is easy in the future to deploy each component (or a group of components) on different servers. In order to do this I need to make sure that the interfaces between each component are exposed as remote interfaces (but I will use local interfaces inside each component). However, there are a number of entity beans that need to be accessed by more than one component. I am wondering how best to expose these entity beans. I believe there are a number of options:
    1. Expose remote interfaces on each of the shared entity beans. The disadvantage of this approach is that it is inefficient and that I will not be able to take advantage of container managed relationships. (I am intending to use container managed persistence.)
    2. Create a facade object (stateful session bean) for each of the entity beans which exposes a remote interface and in turn accesses the shared entity beans locally. The disadvantage of this approach is that I have to create some extra EJBs and that I cannot directly make use of container managed relationships etc from the client component.
    3. I don't know if this is an option but I am wondering whether I can deploy a copy of each shared entity bean with each application component. The advantage of this approach is that the component would access the entity locally and could make use of container managed relationships. However, I don't know what the issues are with having more than one instance (per primary-key) of an entity in the same application. I don't know whether this would cause errors of whether they would get out of sync (because different instances with the same primary key would be updated by different clients). Initially each component would be deployed in the same server but later they would be deployed in different servers. In both cases with this option each component (JAR) would have copies of the shared entity bean classes.
Any suggestions as to the best approach and whether the last option is feasible would be much appreciated.
    Thanks.

I think 2 beats 1. The main reason being to minimise the number of network calls. You're basically asking, are fascades a good idea? and the answer is yes.
You can obviously do 3 in different app servers. However you'll need to configure your app servers so they can handle the fact that they're not the only ones updating the database. This is to handle concurrency as you mentioned. How you do this will depend on your app server and will affect performance, but shouldn't be a problem.
I think you should definately decide up front what's going in different app servers, I dunno if 3 would work in the same app server.
Why do you would want to use multiple app servers?
Why not have everything in the same app?
Is is just the 1 database?
You can use clustering for scalability.

  • Production order and Variance

    Hi,
I need some clarifictions on production order settlement and variance.
Our PP consultant created one PO.Before release of PO they took standard cost estimate it is showing 9000. In this stnadard cost estimate we are calculating the scrap credit also and scrap credit 1000 and we are mainting for cost center also for scrap credit.
while doing of production of settlement we saw that actual amount is 11000.
As per my knowledge When the production order settlement scrap debit also should settle to scrap cost center. Then our scrap cost center will be 0. But everything is settle except scrap and it is not giving any error also. My doubt is whether scrap is settled or does it was clubbed to any other receiver.
One more question. Why we have to settle the order and why we have to run the variance for order. Does it provides any advantage to the management.
    Please guide me deeply.
It is very urgent for me.
    Thanks in advance

    Hi Sateesh
please check the distribution rule for settlement, you may have put 100 (Full) settlemnt for 1st  Receiver type say Material
Enev if yo maintained two receiver type in order then also if the first one is Full settlement then system will not able take the second receiver type
I think it is going to your 1st receiver type
    Thanks

  • Best practice for connecting to SAP backend from JSPDynPage

    Hi,
Can anyone help clear up some confusion I have over connecting to SAP from Java?
We have a number of JSPDynPage portal applications on EP7 Ehp1 that connect to SAP ECC6.
We currently use 2 methods to call remote functions on the ECC system.
    1) Enterprise connector and JCo Client Service
This method has the advantage of automatically generated proxy classes and typed access to function module parameters. It is also more closely aligned to Web Dynpro from a design time point of view
However it also has a number of disadvantages in that it does not support table APPEND structures and requires regeneration for every change to the ABAP structures involved even if the field that has changed is not being referred to. In addition the use of the JCo client service means that the connection pooling must be handled ourselves explicitly
    2) Connector Framework - SAP System Connector
This method has the advantage that connection management is handled by the framework. It also has the advantage that fields are referred to by name so if an ABAP structure changes then the remote call will not fall over as long as the named fields are still available.
However this method is more cumbersome because no proxy classes are generated and function module parameters are referred to generically so errors are not picked up by the complier.
Given the limitations of the above 2 methods, what is the recommended approach?
In the book u2018Inside Web Dynpro for Javau2019 Chris Whealy says the following about the Adaptive RFC Layer:
u2018Any Java program running in the AS Java u2013 not just Web Dynpro u2013 can make use of the Adaptive RFC layeru2019
Has anyone been able to use the Adaptive RFC layer from a NON-WebDynpro java application?
Any thoughts on the above would be most welcome.
    Thanks,
    Denis.

    Hello,
The recommended way is with JCA Connector.
Adaptive RFC is included from NW7.1,
See "Creating an Adaptive RFC2 Sample Application without using Web Dynpro"
in the SAP HELP of NWCE7.1 or NWCE7.2.
Seems to be based in JCo 3.0 and Java5 so it will not work in NW70.
For older Versions like EP 5 there is also a JCo ClientService available.

  • Getting "Method 'sign_in' does not exist" Error (using Charles)

This may be a bit off the FLEX field, and have to do with Zend Framework's ZEND_AMF class. Unfortunately I haven't been able to dig anything up, and comments posted on Wade Arnolds site have not received any responses, so I thought I'd give it a go here.

I have no idea why this would not work anymore. My assumption is that I am not correctly setting up Zend_Amf (but then again, my counter-argument is that it worked before, so ..... ????)
    Thanks for any help!

For those that are also fighting this issue:
The problem appears to be that the RemoteObject needs to specify the class containing the methods as a source parameter. According to this bug report (http://framework.zend.com/issues/browse/ZF-5168) it is supposed to have been addressed, but apparently has re-emerged in Zend_Amf since version 1.7.7.
Using my example above, I would have to specify the RO as:
    <mx:RemoteObject
              id="LoginRemote"
              destination="login"
              source="LoginAmfService"
              showBusyCursor="true"
              fault="parentDocument.handleFault(event)"
         >
               <mx:method name="sign_in" result="signin_handle(event)" />
               <mx:method name="sign_out" result="signout_handle(event)" />
         </mx:RemoteObjecct>

  • App Store won't load - iPhone 3GS 3.1.3

    Hi everyone
Whenever I go into the App Store on my iPhone 3GS, I get the grey front screen and the "Loading" message. Then "Featured" comes up across the top with the 5 icons across the bottom (Featured, Categories, Top 25, Search and Updates), and then I just get kicked back to the phone's home screen before I can do anything else. I've tried doing a hard reboot on the phone, but it makes no difference.
If at all possible I'd like to avoid doing a restore because then all the media from my iPhone will be removed, and I'll have to spend 2 hours working out what music I had on there from my library (I manage my music manually on my iPhone).
However, if a restore is the only option, is there any way that you can "save" the music library on the phone, so it will be reloaded from iTunes without having to go and pick all the music I want on it manually?
Can any miracle workers out there help me on this one?
    Nick

I'm afraid a restore is your only option at this point. Regarding your music, well there is no magic solution, since you manually manage. However, you should be aware of the simple fact that there is absolutely no advantage to manually managing music with an iphone. The real advantage to manually managing is if your device supports disk mode. The iphone does not, thus you'd be better served by creating playlists and syncing those to your phone. But, its your choice.
