AET Fields Delete Problem

I have added some fields in WEB UI through AET.
After some time due to change in requirement I have deleted one field and Saved and Generated again.
The problem is :
The field still displayed in the Context node and in the Table .
I want to remove it completely.

deletion of AET field happens in two steps:
1. Go to Edit Mode. Select a field that you want to delete and press the Delete button. This will mark your field to be deleted.
2. Press on Save and Generate button. "Save" persists the deletion mark. "Generate" processes the deletion of the field, namely delete the field from the DB and BOL structure, delete the dataelement and domain, etc.

How to delete custom AET fields in CRM 7.0 Web UI

Hello gurus,
When I want to delete a custom AET field created by a mistake or for exercising purposes only, the UI Config tool markes it for deletion by changing a status to "Marked for Deletion" (a garbage bucket icon). My question is how to proceed further, i.e. eliminate the field completely. Do I need to manually delete the fields from the "Append" structures in the corresponding CRMS_xxxx Attribute structure, or do something like this?

note: please do not delete the field manually from SAP GUI.
AET is able to create and delete custom field. The deletion process happens always in 2 steps.
1. you select which field you want to delete and press on delete icon. This will mark the field to be deleted.
As long, you do not "Save and Generate". This deletion mark will not be persisted and the complete deletion of the field will not be executed. Having this mechanism, you are always able to cancel the deletion.
2. If you really want to delete the field. Press on "Save and Generate". "Save" will persist the deletion mark for the field.
And "Generate" will do the "Delete" generation.
Please don't forget to remove the field from the UI configuration, when you configured the field in any UI Config before.

Go to BSP_WD_CMPWB transaction, on field Component write "AIC_IM_REQ_H" and select display.
Once the next screen is open, on the left side you can see a tree with all reference object related to that component, search and open "Views" -> "AIC_IM_REQ_H/IncidentOV" .
on the right side you can see 3 tabs, "View Structure" / "RT Rep Details of View" / "Configuration"
On "Configuration" Tab you can see the current configuration for your view, using an Enhacement I think that you can edit that view as your need.
I never edit that view so i don't kno how to delete "title 2" block as you need, but maybe if you ask some developer he can do it for you using some code Enhacement .

Two Related (?) file deleting problems in Finder and Time Machnine

My internal drive is partition into two volumes. In the second one (the "non-boot" one), I was have trouble putting files in the trash that were locked. As I was tracking that down I coincidentally(?) started having another problem.
I started getting a message that the files being put into the trash must be deleted immediately. I check permissions and I had read/write Privileges in the user account I'm normally logged into. However, If I logged into my administrator account, I could put things in the trash without deleting them. I noticed that ignore ownerships wasn't checked, so I checked that.
That allowed my to put files into the trash without immediately deleting them. I went ahead and deleted the files I wanted to get rid of. However, I'm wondering if there was another issue because I am lead to understand that the ownership privileges shouldn't have necessitated checking "ignore ownerships"?
Also, I had trouble deleting the backups of those files and folders in time machine. I can delete most of it. But for one folder (and all the folders in which it resides in the hierarchy) I can't deleted it. I tell it to delete backups of that folder (or folders it is in), I put in the password, and goes "ding". But nothing disappears...
(After I wrote this, I tried unchecking "ignore ownerships" and the problem did not reappear. I can still put files in the trash without the immediate deletion problem.)

Are you doing that via the Finder or Terminal? If so, that's not the way to delete backups. See #12 in [Time Machine - Frequently Asked Questions|http://web.me.com/pondini/Time_Machine/FAQ.html] (or use the link in *User Tips* at the top of the +Time Machine+ forum).
And now I'm getting an error in time machine. "Files can't be copied onto the backup disk because it appears to be "read only"". I do get info on the disk, and my account has Read & Write privleges, but it say "You can only read" above that".
The Finder or Terminal deletions may have corrupted your backups. Repair them, per #A5 in [Time Machine - Troubleshooting|http://web.me.com/pondini/Time_Machine/Troubleshooting.html] (or use the link in *User Tips* at the top of the +Time Machine+ forum).

I'm doing the deletion through Time Machine (I go into Time Machine, find the folder in the backup, and ask Time machine to delete all backups of that folder).
I did find the tip of unmounting the disk, rebooting, and remounting it. That Stopped messages about the disk being read only. However, the folder still doesn't delete. I'm also a bit worried about these being symptoms of some other problem...

Field order problem I think

I just burned through 10 dvds and they all look terrible. There are all these wavy lines. Is this a field order problem? If so, how do I correct it. I have missed my deadline and I am in big trouble. Please help.

DV formats ALWAYS use field 1 dominance -- LOWER FIELD FIRST!

BTW, It's ALWAYS the best idea to create a disk image out of iDVD (an option under FILE). Verify the image plays correctly with Apple's Disk Utility and then make the actual burns to writable media with Apple's Disk Utility or Roxio's Toast. Use quality DVD-R media (Verbatim or Maxell) and burn at 4x speed or lower.

Is it possible to delete problem/solution from solution database? There is information in help that it is not possible to delete problem/solution, but that they can be archived.. But note 946030 says it is not available...

In version 4 it was released one note (730402) that allow us to delete some symptoms and solutions. However, this may lead into some inconsistencies if they're linked with documents. We've never tried to execute it.... but if this may help you, try it

AET Fields doesn't appear in ECC??

Hi All,
I created some fields for CONTACTS using AET. While creating the fields i Checked the Checkbox R/3 as well. I found the fields in BUT000. I checked in ECC KNA1 i didn't find these fields. Now my question is will these AET fields automatically available in KNA1 table of ECC or we need to add them manually if we want to replicate the data of these custom fields to ECC??
I also Created a table extension for CONTACTS using AET in CRM. Now i want this table to be in ECC as well as i need to replicate the data from crm to ecc. Do i need to go to se11 and create it manually in ECC by maintaining foreign key relation with KNA1??

Yes you will need to enhance ECC structures as well.
Regarding BUT000, on ECC side, you will have to enhance structure BSS_CENTI (include CI_CUST to be created) and structure BSS_CENTIX (include CI_CUST_X to be created).

Reuse AET field in other enhanced business object

However, since this is not the real issue in that thread, but at the end there was still open question, I decided to post this thread to give a little bit clarification for this topic.

If one creates a field in MKTPL_MPL -> Header using AET, he can reuse it in MKTPL_CPG -> Header. The field created in MKTPL_MPL -> Header is also available in MKTPL_CPG in "Add Reusable Fields" popup.
I hope this can help you reusing field in other business object.
One of the main reason why customer should "reuse" the field, if it's make sense and possible, is because the database limitation. Specially in One Order application like Sales Order, Service Order, etc, which has one generic DB table for the header, defining two fields which have the same meaning one for Sales Order and Service order will fill the DB table with some more bytes for the second field. If a field has the same meaning over several BOs, consider to make reuse of this field.
Note: transaction AXTREG is maintained by SAP as a registry for AET. Customer should not make any changes on it.

Terminology:
1. Enhanced Business Object: This is a term defined and used by AET to specify what business object can be enhanced. This is more or less in 1 to n relationship to the UI Object Type define from the UI framework. I.e. SALES_ORDER, ACCOUNT, MKTPL_CPG(Marketing Campaign), MKTPL_MPL(Marketing Plan), etc. See transaction AXTREG under node Extensible BOs.
2. Enhanced Business Object Part: This is a term defined and used by AET as a sub object of enhanced business object. An enhanced business object has at least one or several part pyhsically can be enhanced. I.e. MKTPL_MPL -> Header, MKTPL_CPG -> Header, SALES_ORDER->ORDERADM_H, etc. Enhanced BO part is kind of logical name for a technical place. See transaction AXTREG und the node BO Parts.
3. A technical place is a name for an extension include or customer include, where a field is created by AET. I.e. MKTPL_MPL -> Header has INCL_EEW_MKTPL_HEADER as technical place. See transaction AXTREG und the node Place.
4. Custom Field/FIeld Enhancement/AET field: This term is used for field created by AET in a specific enhanced BO part.
5. Reusable Field: This term is used for field that is created in one enhanced business object part and field is visible in other enhanced BOs that share the same enhanced BO part. I.e. MKTPL_MPL -> Header and MKTPL_CPG -> Header share the same part, because the part points to the same technical place: INCL_EEW_MKTPL_HEADER.

AET fields not created due to database limit

Hi Experts,
I am trying to create AET fields for BUT000 transaction table. But when i click on the 'Save and Generate' button for the AET field, i get a message 'Field enhancement for place INCL_EEW_BUT000 is not possible due to database limit'. Please help me understand how can i create the AET fields. Are any settings required to increase the database limit.
Ay pointers would be highly appreciated.

Hi Radhika,
Its a normal scenario when you have exceeded the no. of fields allowed to be added for a business transaction. The initial settings for AET settings is such that *a prefix 'ZA' is attached to each AET extension which gets created when create a field through AET*. Now since you have exceeded this limit, go to SPRO->CRM->UI Frame Work-> UI Frame Work Definition->AET->Define System Settings.
Here you can change the generation prefix from A to B. Now the system will allow you to add as many extra fields as you did for prefix 'ZA'. The only change you'll see is that the AET extension prefix will now be 'ZB' instead of 'ZA'.
When you have exceeded number of fields even for 'ZB' extension, you can change the prefix to 'C' to add further more fields.

Contact quick create for AET field with contact subtype

I enabled the account quick create function in CRM 7.0 EHP2 environment. The funtion works well in the opportunity with standerd account and contact fields.
In opportunity, I created 2 AET fields with the application subtype of ACCOUNT and CONTACT. The account quick create function works well with the ACCOUNT type field, however, it does not work on the AET field with CONTACT subtype.
Is there anything I need to turn on or just the function is not there yet?

Error while deleting an AET field

Hi Experts,
I tried deleting an unwanted field from AET tool which I had added earlier. I clicked the delete button and the field got set for deletion.
Then I clicked on Save and Generate button on the top. The system got timed out. After I tried logging in again, I received a system dump that the append a structure doesn't exist.
If anybody has faced similar kind of issue, please share your views.

Acrobat 9 Pro: fields deleted after changing compatibility of Acrobat for 4.0

I have pdf's with many of fields in which I need to change compatibility on Adobe 4.0.
When I try to do this (Save as optimized pdf with the option selected "make compatible with" on "Adobe 4.0 or later") program delete all of fields.
This problem appears after changing OS from Win XP on Win 7 Enterprise 64-bit.
Earlier I didn't have that problem.
I will be grateful for any help, reinstalling Adobe has not helped and I did not find any clues on the internet.

Unfortunately I can not share this documents.
However, I noticed that only some of them have above problem. Now I have only to find its cause - changing the OS wasn't the cause of this problem.

Subreq Deletion Problem

I am Facing some Data Inconsistency Problem as A result of which the Stock requirement List Shows subreq ( Sub contracting request )in MD04 even though the Purchase Order with reference to which they were created has been Archived
I have a Material MD04 of which Shows Subreq which are created as a result of Purchase Order for other Material .
Now the Purcase order is Archived but The Dependent Subreq Is been displayed and not deleted,
I have tried the SAP Fix Program RM06C020 but it doesnt work as the Purcahse Order has been archived from the database and program RM06C020 will look for Order Entry in table MDBS .

Thanks for confirming that this is very rare case.
The reservations created through MRP run will not allow you to access through MB22 route.
Good that you could find the reservations in RESB. You can mark an entry 'X' in the RESB table field XLOEK (Item deleted) against the reservation number.
If needed, take the help of your developer colleague to make this table entry.

Field Headings Problem

Hello, we have just upgraded to ECC 6.0 from 4.6B and we have noticed that when we look at bespoke tables in SE16 some of the headings appear as the name of the field and not the Label as is written in the short description on the table in SE11 - just wondering has anyone come across this before and/or similar.
I konow that we can switch the layout using -> Settings -> User Parameters but the problem is that when we switch to ALV Grid Display, we see that the headings display the field name, some of these tables are used in Queries (SQ01)

First give field labels in the data element level for the particular fields then you have to delete the existing table maintainence of that table and recreate it then it will display the field anme correct. if you have already given the field label then recreate the table maintainence.

Safari 3.0.4 (523.12) weird text field & delete button behavior

Just installed the software update (10.4.11), and now have a weird problem with Safari 3.0.4 (523.12).
When entering text into a text field _on a web page_ (i.e. NOT the address bar or the built-in Google search field), the screen scrolls when the space bar is pressed (oddly, a space IS entered into the text field).
Also, once a few pages have been visited, hitting the delete key makes the browser act as if the "back" button had been pressed!
What gives?
I tried disabling plug-ins (and restarting Safari) in case one of them was causing a conflict, but it didn't help. I also repaired permissions with Disk Utility. For clarity, I hadn't tried rebooting before launching Safari.
Is it possible to revert back to a previous version?

Some other things to try:
- delete the Safari prefs file at /Users/YourUsername/Library/Preferences/com.apple.Safari.plist
- try resetting Safari via the Safari menu
- a test you can do to help narrow down things is to try Safari in another user account. This will help us to know whether your problem is local to your account or system wide. If you don't have another account you can use System Preferences -> Accounts -> \[+\] to create a test one (and \[-\] to remove it if needed)
