After many emails and letter that is was time to upgrade we went into verizon to upgrade.. after 2 hours of picking phones etc. we are charged $30 per phone to upgrade. Nowhere was this advertised.. want my money back!!!!

After many messages and letters that is was time to upgrade our phone we went to the verizon store.. After 2 more hours of picking phones (not the flip one I so wanted) we get to the pay part and find out we are now charged $30 per phone to upgrade???  What???  No where on any advertisements or anywhere in the store is this stated...I have called, texted, emailed and complained to everyone and have been promised a refund time after time yet nothing has been credited to my account yet.  I have been with Verizon for 15 years and this will be my last upgrade with them... and just try to get a real person on the phone!!!

A) it IS posted this has been proven. Tell you what go back to that store take your camera and take pictures of the price tags on the phones then post them here showing us that the fee isn't on the price tags.
B) READ your contract before signing. Why people don't do this is beyond me.
C) What cruddy service does he have? No way he has a smartphone. Sorry didn't get a 100% free phone. Seriously that sounds really entitled. My son upgraded his phone to a LG Lucid. It was 97 cents plus the upgrade fee with taxes and all came to $35. Do I feel "ripped off" because he got a phone that retails for $450 for $35? Nope. Why should I feel ripped off for a 92% discount?

    This is sometimes caused by a problem with the iTunesPrefs.xml file, normally found at C:\Users\<User>\AppData\Local\Apple Computer\iTunes\iTunesPrefs.xml. Try dragging this to the desktop and trying again.
    Alternatively the problem may be that you have McAfee AV and it is preventing iTunes from updating the same file and thus causing the problem. See Why does iTunes delete my itunesprefs.xml? for details.

    The games might be free but I think you've clicked In-App purchase which cost money. You are warned before you accept the In-App purchase. You not that young and you can read so take action if you must. It's your own fault and all purchases are final. Good luck.

    Were you buying content for yourself or gifting to another account ? If you were gifting content or an amount then that can only be done via credit card).     Sorry, there is nothing you can do until the device is removed from the sellers Apple ID.

    they charge me £19 for this?! this is stupid! the site is too complicated, nothing seems to work! all i wanted to do was edit a quick file, but apparently thats too much like hard work. it says "join our monthly subscription of £1 something a month. to have the ability to convert files and edit texts" then it charges me the whole £19 straight away even tho it defiantly said "monthly subscription" and it wont even let me do it! i convert files to word but they dont show up and when i try to edit text nothing happens! i used the help guide but that was no help whatsoever! very very unhappy with this service, and i want my money back!

    You need to use the CHAT link in support to reach Adobe staff. Be sure you know the product name you are trying to cancel, Adobe have lots of products, several converters etc. I think it is ExportPDF you have, most likely.

    José, if you buy and download Logic Pro in App Store now, the best option would be to buy an upgrade to Logic Studio. I don't think Jam Packs are available any more in Apple Store, besides it will be more expensive buying them one by one than upgrading to Studio.

  • Bought a rip-off App that stalks your activity, want my money back but they blocked me!

    Alright guys!
    My problem is that I bought this app called iTeleport VNC. Basically what it does is show your Mac screen on your iPhone. I thought this should be fun and so I decided to buy it for € 3,99 (it seems to be for sale for € 17,99 now, probably I was lucky and it was discounted — thank god!).
    So I downloaded the app to my iPhone, I downloaded the other one to my Mac and tried to make it run.
    The first very mysterious thing is that is starts asking your Gmail address and password. It says it needs them because all of this runs over Google Talk servers. I find this quite strange because why would they need my email address and its password for this? All they need is the server IP, password and port numbers or something like that. I gave in a fake Gmail address that I had made some time ago and continued.
    This is all during installation by the way.
    Then a window pops up that asks you if you want to enable screen sharing. I don't think I want to share my screen, do I? If you click no, it will not work because a message will pop up and tell you that the app couldn't find screen sharing and that it will try again in 10 seconds (and it goes on like that…).
    It also said that if I click yes, I will be able to disable it later again. So I thought "alright, let's click yes and then let's disable it". Unfortunately there is no option to disable it in the settings.
    I don't understand why it needs all that stuff like email passwords, etc. I have another app which allowed me to control iTunes over my iPhone and I think it works a similar way. Not exactly the same of course, but kind of. And it doesn't ask any passwords or such a thing.
    To me this seems like they're just trying to collect private data. I don't want them to see my screen and I don't want them to know my Gmail password. But you have to do this in order to make the app run.
    After a while I finally was able to make it run. There seemed to be 2 modes: one, where you will see the logic screen of your Mac on your iPhone. The other one requires you to enter the password to your computer in the App, so it always redirects you to your desktop automatically. Basically it skips the login window. But I preferred to type the password in the login window. Unfortunately this wasn't possible because you weren't able to type anything in that field.
    And that's where I decided to stop using this app and deleted it.
    It didn't say any of that in the App description, which I think it should. Some people don't want to "register" to their service my giving away their personal information, this should definitely be mentioned.
    So obviously I wanted my money back… because I find it wrong, it's not what was written in the description.
    I went to the iTunes store (inside of iTunes), then clicked the little arrow in the top right corner beside my email address, clicked on "Account" and then you will find a link to your purchase history.
    There's a button to report a problem, and that's what I did. I selected the app, reported the problem and wrote basically what I wrote abobe. There was also a drop-down menu which asked you in which category this goes. Unfortunately I selected something like "This app doesn't work the way it should" and that's how iTunes blocked me from reporting it again. Because after I submit my request, a message came and told me that Apple isn't responsible on how 3rd party apps work. No they aren't, but they're responsible for what they put in their store and they need to make sure it works and that it's not against people's privacy.
    So now I can't report it again because when I try this it tells me I have already reported a problem for this app (or that the problem is too old, which isn't the case. Plus, how can the problem be too old? I think it's meant to be something like I bought the app too long ago. Fail!).
    The big questions now is, does anyone know how I can get my € 3,99 back?
    Do you believe I should contact the people who made this app? But what should I say?

    Why do you want your money back?
    You could email Apple about the problem but they will not take "I want my money back" or "This app crashes" or "This app is bad." Plus, you can only get your money back once.
    And since you bought an IAP on Snoopy's Fair and you already used your "Snoopy Cash", Apple will not give you your money back.
    All purchases are final.

    However, because I modified the feed http://feeds.feedburner.com/imananddinasbroadcast and nothing changed, I redirected it to another feed and then I deleted this feed.
    Is there any way to change the feed in itunes? The only feed I have now is  http://feeds.feedburner.com/CasaEgyptStation
    I tried to restore the feed http://feeds.feedburner.com/imananddinasbroadcast but feedburner refused.
    I know that I missed things up but I still have hope in working things out.
