Agent configuration for Liberty-based federation

Hi all,
I am using AccessManager 7.1, and I was wondering to test the liberty-based federation authentication. I configured my authentication domain in the AM server, but then I had to configure the agent.
In the tutorial there's information about how to configure it:
Point the com.sun.am.policy.loginURL property in the AMAgent.properties file to the pre-login service URL running on Access Manager.
but the j2ee agent (2.2 for tomcat) I installed has no property like that. I found something similar: the com.sun.identity.agents.config.login properties list, but I'm not sure I can use this instead of the loginURL property. Moreover, there are some webservices related properties like com.sun.identity.agents.config.webservice.enabled. The default value for the webservice.enabled is false, I suppose it must be changed to true, but what about the endpoints list? The authenticator property must point to an implementation class, so it is not what I need.
How can I configure the agent to protect web services?
Thank you.

Hello Davinder,
Even though the parameter is there, it must be accessible for checking.
In order to get the profile value of the managed system we use a webservice handled by sapstartsrv on port 56013. It seems that this port is not listening: sapstartsrv is probably stopped.
You can see it here:
"!! Exception : Service call exception; nested exception is:
java.net.ConnectException: Connection
refused(cause=java.net.ConnectException Connection refused)"
Would you please check that sapstartsrv is up and running, then check that port 56013 is listening and then please restart the setup.
Note that your port number might be different.
Additional information:
As mentioned in the Note 936273,
"The start service is integrated into the Unix operating system using the
"sapinit" script as well as entries for each instance in
"/usr/sap/sapservices" (see Note 823941 (UNIX) or Note 893215(IBM i)).
So please check the Note 823941 and 936273 to set up the autostart of the sapstartsrv. Then restart your system and then you can check whether  sapstartsrv is started by
- 'ps -ef   grep sapstartsrv' command.
- '/sbin/init.d/sapinit status' command.
Best regards,
Guilherme

    Hello all,
    Symptoms:
The Configuration Manager only shows the following actions:
    Application Deployment Evaluation Cycle
Machine Policy Retrieval & Evaluation Cycle
    Software Updates Deployment Evaluation Cycle
User Policy Retrieval & Evaluation Cycle
In Software Center there are no applications visible. Also the default 'IT Organization' is shown instead of the 'real' name.
    The Confugration Manager:
shows in the tab 'General' the correct Management point. Connection type is 'currently intranet' (ok)
shows in the tab 'Site' the correct site code.
shows in the tab 'Components' all components as either 'installed' or 'enabled'. Only CCM Notification Agent shows 'Disabled'.
In SCCM 2012 under 'Client Settings' -> 'Default Settings' -> 'Client Policy' the setting 'Enable User policy on clients' has been enabled.
    Done so far (without success):
    Re-installed the MP
Run a query on the SCCM Database to check if there are any corrupt records. There are not.
    Installed version 5.00.7958.1000
    CCM Framework: 5.00.7958.1203
The computer is installed with a task sequence. There is a reboot after 'Setup Windows and ConfigMgr (CM2012 R2 CU1)'.
Installation command of the SCCM Client (during OSD deployment):

  • Agents configuration for the top level Organization

I was experimenting with this feature and was wondering if it works. I have an IIS 6.0 policy agent installed and it is working correctly. I added a new agent for the top level org and set the name, password to the amldapuser password, and agentRootURL key value. I then edited the AMAgent.properties file of the IIS 6.0 policy agent and changed the com.sun.am.policy.am.username to the one I created. Upon restart the policy agent could not authenticate. I then set the am.password the clear text password and got the same result. Has anyone got this to work?

    Hi ,
I've Been Following this forum for quite a long time,This has been a good resource for the people working on Identiry Management. A problem has been hindering me from completing the authentication part in my project.
I've configured the Policy Agent in AMAgent.property file as URL_POLICY mode, which
would redirect the user to the User Home Page mentioned in the
registration page of Identity server. what other configurations need to be changed to make this work.
    Thanx,

  • SSC Configured for Computer Policies

    Hi -
I'm setting up a new test client after having to reinstall the ZENWorks Server as a multiple server (because we need the reporting service). I am now running into an issue where every time I attempt to install the client on a system I get the following message :
    SSC Configured for Computer-based Policies
This computer's authentication information is currently unavailable. If you continue to see this warning, you will either need to rejoin the domain or contact your network administrator.
When I checked the Event Viewer / Application log, I see MSSoap errors - which according to some of the information I've found so far on the forums seems to point towards a certificate issue. However I installed the certificate manually on the test system and still get his error. Also rejoining the doman has no effect.
I'm am working in a Windows environment with AD - client workstations are XP Pro.
Any help would be greatly appreciated... thanks.

We had problems with MS SOAP errors after reinstalling. Our cert didn't match the server name, and we got it working with just adding another cert that did and making sure that all the DNS entries resolved clearly. Forgive me, but it was a few months ago, and I was brand new to the company and product, and my notes aren't the best.
    - Things I Do remember...making sure the cert was there for the client, as it was login specfic. (we finally loaded it with group policy upon login.)
    - I remember using Scenario 2 from Support document 3788192, to check the cert manually.
    - And also Support Document 3594251 had some interesting stuff to check. Specifically the website validations (shieldclient.asmx, policyserver.soap, userservice.asmx, and authenticationhelper.soap). Also in this document was checking Guest or IUSR account rights. These were not correct on our server.
I think it ended up being multiple problems for us, but for sure those rights made a difference.
    Good luck!

  • SMD agent for VMW-based SAP systems

    SAP talents:
We have hard time to configure SMD agents for VMW-based SAP systems.
We have followed some SAP documents for non-VMW-based SAP systems, but seems that SMD agent cannot
differentiate the individual system on VMW.
Our SMD agent has no problem for non-VMW-based systems.
    Thanks!

Sorry to reply late because we have attempted a lot of  fixes but all failed
For example, we have QAX, QAY and QAZ on VMW.
    On Wily Introscope:
    1)  QAZ simply does not show up even we deployed/configured the agents as the procedure specified;
    2) under the node QAX, we see QAY's entry as a sub-entry.
Does each SAP system need an agent OR only one agent is enough?  We have tried both ways  but
seems not working properly either way.
    Please help, thanks a lot!

  • Change Master Agent for Cluster-Based Agent  -- OEM 11.1.0.1

We had a 6 node RAC cluster and a cluster-based  management agent installed to monitor.
Node 6 was the Master agent.
Now node 6 is not part of the cluster.
I am getting metric collection for the cluster.
I cluster configuration in OEM shows Master agent as node 6. I only have 3 nodes now.
How do I update the master agent or the cluster.
    Thanks,
    Silver

On the clustef homepage in OEM there is a link called properties under the name of the cluster. Click the link it will shlw the true master node. What I have seen in the pasf what can rsolve the issue is bounce the agent on that master node. You can also try a clear state. You can also use the configuration for the cluster database to make sure the old instance has been remove from OEM.

  • How to Configure OIM 9.1 for Request-Based Provisioning

    Hi experts,
I am new to OIM and need to know how to configure request based provisioning. Here is the scenario.
My environment has two target systems (Sun LDAP and Novell EDirectory) configured for provisioning to OIM 9.1
A user should be able to login, request either or both (SUN LDAP and EDir) for self or others.
Now the request should go to an admin for approval.
Once approved, the requested accounts should be created on the target systems.
Please guide me on the procedure to be followed.
    Many thanks in advance

You will have to download the standard out of box connector for these target systems & will have to import it through the Deployment manager into OIM. Then you will have to create the Process definition of approval type & attach it to the same resource object. Please read the belo link before implementing any thing. This will provide you a better idea.

  • Registry startup script for computer-based proxy configuration

I am attempting to deploy computer-based proxy server settings via importing a .reg file to user PCs as a startup script. It has appeared to work on some PCs but not on others. We have a mix of Windows XP Professional x86 and Windows 7 Professional x64 PCs
    in our domain.
I am not sure whether to use "reg import" or "regedit /s" in my batch script.
Before trying the batch script method, using "Computer Configuration > Preferences > Registry" settings did not work.
I have created a GPO, applied it to an OU containing computers and used the following settings:
Computer Configuration > Policies > Windows Settings > Scripts > Startup
    Batch Script: regedit /s \\FQDN\netlogon\wmproxy.reg
    Registry File:
    Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings]
    "ProxyEnable"=dword:00000001
    "MigrateProxy"=dword:00000001
    "ProxyOverride"="<local>"
    "ProxyServer"="proxy.FQDN:8080"
Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > Windows Components/Internet Explorer
Disable changing proxy settings = Enabled
Make proxy settings per-machine (rather than per-user) = Enabled
As at the beginning of my post, the settings deploy to some PCs but not all and I have yet to see it work on the Windows 7 PCs. Am I attempting computer-based proxy settings the wrong way, or am I missing something with how I am currently trying to deploy
    it?
    Thanks all!

    Hi,
You mentioned you have tried to configure the computer-based proxy settings via GPP but it didn’t work. Before going further, would you please let me know how did you configure the settings?
In order to narrow down the cause of the issue, I suggest we’d better collect the following information.
    GPMC.log
    ==================
    a. On domain controller, click Start ->Run, type GPMC.MSC, it will load the GPMC console.
    b. Right click on "Group Policy Result" and choose wizard to generate a report for the problematic computer and user account (please place appropriately). (Choose computer and select the proper
    user in the wizard)
    c. Right click
the resulting group policy result and click the "Save Report…" => save report to save the report to a HTML file.
Once we get the GPMC.log, please check the detailed report logged in it.
You said you have created a startup script to edit the registry key to configure the proxy setting of the computer but it worked on only some of the computers in the domain. Have you tried
to run the script on the problematic computer manually to see if it works? If it still fails to run, it could be related to the script issue, then we’d better ask in the script forum.

  • The Post Office Agent might not be configured for SOAP.

    I have a virtual server with VMware ESXi 5 running SLES11 sp1, OES11 and GroupWise 12.
The GroupWise system have one domain and one post office with several users.
The users can access the mailbox with the GroupWise Windows Client, but when they try to login in the GroupWise Webaccess, they get the following error: "[9505] Your post office is unavailable. The Post Office Agent might not be configured for SOAP. Please contact your system administrator".
1.- The post office agent have the SOAP option turned on.
2.- I check the java environment variables and they are pointing to the right directory.
3.- The Linux Firewall is turned off.
4.- rcapache2 start and rctomcat6 start dont show errors.
5.- I check the webacc.cfg file and all IPs address and ports (POA & DVA) are fine.
Any help, comment or suggestion will be welcome.
    Thanks in advance.

Check to see if the port is being used by SLES...

  • Can CTI OS agent desktop 9 be configured for different desktop modes?

Can CTIOS agent desktop be configured for different modes e.g. Normal, open, on top, stealth or agent selectable?

Yes, but you'll have to customize it and recompile it. The source code is in the installer.

    Hi,
I'm a little confused. You wanted to know how to configure Tomcat for form based authentication, and I sent you an article on how to do that. Is there something more you need from me? You had offered 10 duke dollars for this post, and if there is more I can do I will help for the remaining amount, but I can't help you getting access to the Tomcat *.xml file.

  • Agent configuration

We have a couple of large customers who use a variety of products such as UCCE, CUCM, CCMP, Voice recording, CUIC and CIM. Is there an easy way to do agent configuration on these platforms, currently everything is very disjointed, which means is takes a long time to configure one agent (as you need to create accounts on every individual platform). Managing a 5000 seat contact centre with high churn rates is therefore very time consuming.
    What's the best practice here?

    Thanks for your response.
Here's what we do today, and for simplicity I'm excluding CUCM.
Create the agent in UCCE (can be done using bulk) including desk settings and adding them to a team (cannot be done in bulk).
Assign each agent with certain attributes, so they get calls routed via PQ
Create a CCMP account assuming supervisor agent.
Move agent to the right place in the hierarchy in CCMP (individual)
CUIC: add agents to the right collection; based on the agent names you can't see to which site they belong. Individual action
CIM: Create agent in CIM and assign correct licences to the agent (individual)
Call Recording solution: create agent (same agent name as in UCCE...), assign licences, teams etc
A lot of these tasks cannot be done in bulk or with groups of agents. Most items require you save in between (as IE based) therefore slowing down the process as well.
Maybe we're just not using best practice, any advice would be appreciated.
