Alarm & Event (AlertView.dll) control report Control could not be loaded error on LV Runtime

Hello, when I try to execute my application that use Alarm & Event control, the window show in red color the text: Control could not be loaded.
I have tried to manually copy the AlertView.dll on C:\Program Files\National Instruments\Shared and then register the control with:
regsvr32 C:\Program Files\National Instruments\Shared\AlertView.dll
but still the control is never on the screen.
When the window is invoked and the ActiveX is loading the system show several error message (unable to initialize ComponetWorks control ...) and then exit the the red color error message Control could not be loaded.
If I install the DSC everything works fine ...
Any idea?

I'm not sure I've understood correctly your problem, but reading your post it seems that you want to execute your application that loads an ActiveX control without installing the DSC module.
I did some researches for you and what I found is that copying the alertview.dll (in your case) into the path: <drive:>\Program Files\National Instruments\Shared and register it into regsrv32, may not be sufficient.
National Instruments, suggests to install the DSC (and from your post it seems you can do it) in order to have correctly installed all the parts you need effectively (in fact, in your case when you install the DSC all seems to work properly).

You have the .fla and .as saved in the same file? Or the same folder?
Also you will notice that you have
class ship extends MovieClip
But it looks like for your symbol you have given it a defintion of Ship. (Caps matter!)
Your code should be capitalized, as should the name of the Ship.as file. You will notice that the Flash classes all start with a cap and that instances start with lowercase letters. You don't have to do this, but it makes it easier to know what is what.
As a recommendation I would recommend the book by Keith Peters, Making things move. And also unless you have an overwhelming need to learn AS2, I would recommend skipping it and moving right to AS3.

Moved Servers - log4net could not be loaded error

My code programmatically creates crystal reports.
Everything was working fine until we moved servers (unfortunately don’t have access to the old server anymore)
Get the dreaded error about log4net 1.2.10 that could not be loaded. (Other assemblies in my solution rely on 1.2.11, so can’t just take it out)
I installed (repeatedly uninstalling the other and restarting the server) the CRforVS_clickonce_13_0_9 32bit and 64 bit versions.
My application pool is set to allow 32bit applications.
I checked an do have log4net 1.2.10 in the GAC
Really out of things to try here and need fix this urgently for a demo to important client tomorrow (it’s midnight..make it today!)
For what it matter:
Development Machine (all fine here)
Windows 7, 64 bit
Visual Studio 2012
Crystal Reports 2012
Production Machine
Windows Server 2008, 64 bit
Full error (but guess you know it well)
Could not load file or assembly 'log4net, Version=1.2.10.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=692fbea5521e1304' or one of its dependencies. The located assembly's manifest definition does not match the assembly reference. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80131040)

btw, I moved 2 servers. different projects but same technologies / tools.
Installed CRforVS_redist_install_64bit_13_0_8 on the one....works fine when creating reports and return as pdf.
On the other server....nope. (the one I spoke about in original post)

Scripting.aex could not be loaded error

I recently had a hard drive failure but managed to save everything onto a new drive. All Creative Cloud program work except After Effects which gives me this error upon startup: "After Effects Error: plug-in "scripting.aex" could not be loaded (126)." Do I need to uninstall and re-install AE cc?

Based on the extremely limited amount of information in your post (you haven't even told us what operating system your computer has), I would say yes. That seems like a reasonable step.

ASIO Driver could not be loaded Error CS3

Hi,
Today, i have installed my Production premium CS3 on my MacBook Pro (Macbookpro 2,2) This Macbook is already 3 years old. Previously my production premium was installed on my iMac (iMac5,1). On my iMac everything worked perfect.
But on my Macbook Pro i can't open premiere pro because of this error:
'The previously selected ASIO driver could not be loaded, and may be in use by another application. The default ASIO driver is now in use"
After this error, premiere gets another fatal error and shuts down.
I already had find a solution but i can't perform it because premiere keeps shutting down before i can do something in the preferences.
Because i know it is something with sound i tested Soundbooth. But soundbooth also keeps shutting down...
Please help me, i need this software for school.
If you need any other information, please say it and i will give it to you.

I am having similar problems on the Mac computers in our lab. I have found that the error does not appear in administrator accounts only on the standard user accounts. That makes me think that maybe Premiere might be looking at some file that my users accounts don't have acces to. It is a fresh install of CS3 onto OSX 10.6.2 What files is Premiere looking at when its trying to load the ASIO driver? Any help would be appreciated. At this point making the standard user administrators is not an option.

Disk utility reports "Device could not be opened" - error when trying to format a new drive in a Mac Pro 1,1

MacPro 1,1 Quadcore 3 GHz (2006 "Woodcrest")
32 GB RAM
ATI Radeon HD 5770
OS X 10.7.5 Lion
I have encountered the following behavior when trying to format a new drive with disk utility. This description has also been send via the Mac Pro feedback as a bug report to Apple.
On searching the web and forums with this particular error message and behaviour I could not find any usful results. So maybe the following description may be helpful for some users.

1. Drive Bay 1 contains the original 250 GB Startupdisk. It works without errors.
2. Drive Bays 3 and 4 contain each a WD Caviar Black 2 TB SATA 3 HDD. They work without errors.
3. I have purchased a third WD Caviar Black 2 TB HDD.
4. In Drive Bay 2 there has been a Seagate 750 GB HDD, which worked in conjunction with all the other drives without error.
5. I exchanged the Seagate HDD in Drive Bay 2 with the new WD Caviar Black 2 TB HDD.
6. On starting the system, it will report to initialize the new drive.
7. On trying to initialize the new drive with disk utility it reports the error [translated from German] "Erasing of the volume has failed. The device could not be opened."
8. I thought that the drive is faulty. Thus I created an RMA-Case at WD. They exchanged the drive without problems.
9. On getting the exchanged WD Caviar Black 2 TB drive I put it in Drive Bay 2 as before.
10. On trying to erase and format the exchange drive I got the same error message "Drive could not be opened."
10.1 On selecting the physical drive in the devices list, disk utility reports all information in the bottom area of its window as usual, e. g. hard disk description, connection bus, type and place, capacity, write status, SMART-status, partition scheme.
10.1 On leaving that drive selected in the devices list and clicking the info-button, disk utility will also report additional information as usual, e. g. Name, Type, partition scheme, media-identification, media name, media type, device tree, … , number of relocated sectors, etc.. All this information appears to be valid, as can be compared to the other devices information inside the other Drive Bays. Also the disk numbering scheme appears to be standard - 4 HDDs give the numbering disk0, disk1, disk2, disk3.
10.2 From that information I conclude that the SATA-bus and connectors electrically work properly, the drive has spun up and can be accessed by the system normally.
11. I powered down the computer, took out the HDDs from Drive Bays 3 and 4 and put the caddy with the new exchange drive in Drive Bay 4 [Maybe, I could have also just left it alone in Drive Bay 2, or 3].
12. After powering on the system, disk utility will quick format the exchange drive without any error message. Also, when erasing again by selecting the option to write zeros to the drive, disk utility will finish without error.
13. After disk utility finished formatting, I put back the original drives into Drive Bay 3 and 4 and put the now newly formatted drive back into Drive Bay 2.
14. After switching on the computer the system start and login proceeds without any error message. All drives appear as expected on the desktop.

If anyone is reading this still looking for what caused the issue and how to fix it here is what I discovered.
The antivirus program our company uses, Bitdefender Antivirus Plus, was causing some of the PDF files not to open. After troubleshooting the different modules and settings the culprit was..
Scan SSL in Privacy Control Settings. Turning it OFF solved the problem and all the PDF files that previously would not open now open just fine. This issue has been sent to Bitdefender for them to review. If you use a different antivirus program and are having this issue try locating the Scan SSL setting and see if turning it off solves the problem.

MapPoint Control 11 in Labview Container = Control could not be loaded

I am working with Labview 6.1 to create an application using a "Microsoft MapPoint Control 11.0" ActiveX component. When I first create a container for it, I can insert the component and it will load and operate correctly. However, after closing the vi and reopening it, the container says "Control could not be loaded", and I need to re-insert the object to get it to work each time. I will need to compile and run this at some point, so I need to fix this problem or ditch Labview now. I have tried reinstalling Labview runtime and the MapPoint Application, but this does not fix the problem. Working with MapPoint as an automation object (without a container) seems to work ok, but I need interactive control through the container. Any suggestions?

Yup. Tried that one, as a search of the NI site comes up with reinstall and register as the only solutions for "control could not be loaded" errors ... but it didn't make a difference for me...
Odd to think that it can run fine right after the control is loaded, but after save/close/reopen, it's not working... hmmm.

NI-VISA is installed, but visa32.dll could not be loaded.

Hi,
When I start MAX, it shows the yellow exclamation mark icon and "VISA Error" under Devices and Interfaces.
The description of the error is "C:\Windows\system32\visa32.dll was found but could not be loaded."
I followed MAX's suggestion to repair the VISA installation but the error remains the same.
I also tried to uninstall and reinstall VISA again but it doesn't make any difference.
I'm using
NI-VISA 4.2
MAX 4.3

A complete uninstall is PROBABLY not necessary. Usually we can get
NI-VISA straightened out without destroying too much of what you have
done.
A) Yes, C:\Windows\System32\ is the correct place to be looking for
VISA32.dll. If it's not there, NI-VISA will have issues (any VISA for
that matter).
B) You definitely want this file to be put there by our installer, not
just placing it there. NI-VISA does install some reg-keys that have to
be there in order for it to run correctly.
C) Instead of doing a repair on NI-VISA, I would recommend an uninstall
(of only NI-VISA), then a reinstall of NI-VISA. Make sure you're using
the latest installer for your Windows.

Please do the following steps.
(1) Delete subreports from main report.
(2) Run the main report .
(3) Add subreports one by one with proper parameters.
(4) Run the report locally.
(5) If it is showing all the data, deploy main report as well as subreports.
(6) Run the report again from server.
Still you are not getting subreport data, delete datasource(not dataset) and create it again. Run the report again.

please check for error messages just before the shutdown message from the cms is logged.
Is you case related to a BOBJ system that previously worked correctly? If this is the case did anything changed in the meantime on operating system level (eg. modified server name, removed/modified DB drivers or ODBC DSNs, IP address, security policies) on your server?

Did you make any change to your Office, such as install language package, etc. that may cause this problem?

Transport control program tp could not be started

While importing a request to Quality Server , transport terminates with an error "Transport control program tp could not be started" RFC error.

RSTPTEST was successful .
Changed auth/rfc_authority_check to value '0' in the profile and restarted.
user id provided in RFC connection is TMSADM and the user is
having "S_RFC" authorization object.
This error started after putting the oracle patchset 9.2.0.8.
SAP version 4.7, Oracle 9.2.0.8, on AIX 5.2
It will be appreciable if any one can help me out in this issue.

ActiveX control "could not be loaded"

G'Day everyone,
I'm having a problem with my activeX controls (SHDocVw.IWebBrowser2 for example) - when I load and run a LabVIEW 6i VI with an ActiveX container on the front panel, I get an error 97 (Unknown System Error in Untitled.vi) out of its method node. If I load the same VI into LabVIEW 6.1, I get the same error, and the container has "Control could not be loaded" written in it. This isn't just limited to the web browser control, but others too. (they used to work a week or so ago, and I can't think of anything I've done to the system since then...) If anyone has any ideas on how to fix this, I'd really appreciate it!

Unfortunately, it was *all* of my ActiveX controls that wouldn't load. That said, A user of the Info-LabVIEW list came up with the answer: reinstall the RunTime engine - wierd....
