Album art is distorted or messed up and music does not play correctly

I recently restored my iPod touch 2g to 4.2.1 and my album art looks mispositioned and distorted as you can see here:

However, album art is displayed correctly in Cover Flow and in iTunes
Another issure I have is that every song on my iPod Touch does not start at the beginning, it starts at the middle and plays for a few minutes then goes to the beginning of the song.
Is there anyway to fix this?

Yes they are correct in iTunes
I have tried that but it would reproduce the problem
I also get the error messages "The iPod cannot be synced. The required disk cannot be found." and "The iPod cannot be synced. An error occurred while writing to the device."

I tunes update 10.5 and music files not playing correctly

After I updated iTunes to 10.5, a vast majority of my music files do not play correctly. When they do play, they sound as if they have been super compressed and I cannot figure out why. I have un installed/re installed, checked all of my drivers and even scanned my library for viruses. Is there anyone who may have any info that may help fix this problem? I would be eternally grateful.

I have just downloaded a free program called burn and it burns music perfectly and yet itunes still wont work and comes up with the same error report as above so i do hope this helps apple to fix the bugs in there latest 10.5 itunes update.

After upgrading my iPhone to new 5.1 iOS, and reloading all of my files back in , my music appears to be in the phone, but when I press play, the music does not play, even though the pause button is now lit.

After 6 hrs. Of upgrading to 5.1 iOS , and reloading all data my music will not play. The music was reloaded from iCloud, and shows up in library, but will not play.

Basics from the manual are restrt, reset, restore.

Are you sending an album or a slideshow? I don't think music can be assigned to an album.
Have you tried asking this question in the iPhoto forum (assuming it's an iPhoto question) or the AppleTV forum (if it's more a question about the AppleTV?).

There is also a good chance that the .avi is simply corrupt as often hapens with this format. I have often had .avis that simply will not open, no matter what program or converter you try using. It's a bummer, but being an older format, it is becoming more common.

Videos and Music will not play using Safari or Chrome

I have tried every trouble shooting option I can find on the internet. Nothing is working. Adobe is fully updated. Safari is fully updated. Chrome is fully updated. Videos will not play on websties such as CNN, CBC. Music will not play on websites such as Sound Cloud.
YouTube and Netflix work fine.

Itunes is all messed up and music won't play

A few days ago I was able to play all 997 of my songs on itunes. Today, I go to play my songs and there is an sign in front of all but about 3 songs and none of the others will play. When I click on the explanation sign I get the following "this song could not be used because the original file could not be found. Would you like to locate it?" When I try to locate, nothing happens. I have invested a lot of time getting my music synced to itunes and really just want to get them back so I can listen to them as my background music when I work on the computer. Can anyone help me with this??? Very frustrating and dont' even want to think about having to restore all those songs. ANY help would be appreciated - please understand I am a computer novice and am not technically inclined at all. Please help me get my music back!!

You get exclamation marks or dead tracks because iTunes can’t find the file. This can happen for a number of reasons:
The song file or a folder in its path was renamed
The song file or the folder it is in has been moved
The song file has been deleted
The device containing the song files e.g. external drive is not accessible or the drive letter has changed.
So did you move or change anything? iTunes does not do folder watching and it cannot cope with files being moved or renamed.
You can find where iTunes thinks a track is by right clicking on it and selecting Get Info>>Summary Tab.
Does this reveal anything about what happened. If you can find the file with Windows Explorer you can see where the file really is.
If you didn't change anything, do you have any software on your PC that might be renaming files, Window Media player can be set to do it.

Itunes music and playlist does not sync correctly into iPod touch?

Ipod touch does not reflect itunes library. Y ipod touch is reflecting music I do not have and is doubling playlist. Anybody know what is going on and how do I resolve this mess?

IPad 2 music does not play and high resolution pictures get corrupted when syncing through iTunes on 64 bit Win 7. Anyone else have a problem with iTunes corrupting music and pictures from 64bit machine?

Works from a 32 bit XP machine. Does not work from a 64bit Win 7 machine. It's 64 bit that seems to be the issue; the music won't start playing, and for pictures, it's when they're more than 768x1024 resolution that they appear very low resolution and/or corrupt. None of the normal tricks work (different user account; different USB port; different USB hub controller) and the problem is replicable. The music and JPEG and PNGs, however, are fine if transferred via a Windows network to a 32 bit machine ie it's not the music/image files.

Dear Katrina, the problem has finally been solved, with the help of a computer-savvy friend of mine who came round this afternoon. As a courtesy, and to thank you for all your help in this matter, I want to share the solution with you.
A piece of the puzzle was missing, as you said, and it lay in the tenth line of the XML document I relayed to you....

My friend spotted that the command string contained a sub-folder of the iTunes folder called "iTunes Media". iTunes was expecting to find all my music there, but that folder didn't exist.
So I created a new folder called "iTunes Media", and moved all my musical content into it, leaving all the command files in the original iTunes folder.
Then I moved the "iTunes Media" folder into the "iTunes" folder, so that it was a sub-folder of the latter.
Then I re-opened iTunes and - joy of joys! - everything works once again. I am re-united with all of my music, and without having to make over 14,000 manual location exercises. I can't tell you how exciting that is.
The mystery is solved, and what had me so puzzled seems obvious now. Thanks again for your help. Without you I might never have got to this point.

Does not play correct ringtones that are set for the Caller and Rings when no one is calling

I have had my Droid Global for around and three months and from the beginning I have had issues with the ringtones ringing when a certain person calls me. Instead, it seems, it will play the rigntone that is applied to the last person that called me instead of the person who is actually calling me. This can be somewhat frustrating and kind of defeats the purpose of applying rigntones to people in the first place.
Also, just recently my phone has decided to ring all by itself...without any incoming calls, notifications...nothing. It does a very quiet ring that sounds similar to that of a house telephone or landline phone. It does not stop unless someone calls me or if I take my battery out and reset my whole phone. My phone has only done this twice and unfortunately it once happened in one of my college classes and I couldn't get it to stop.
Please help me...I don't know what I can do to fix this!!!
