Alert is triggered but notification is not sent GC 12C

Hi,
I have created custom monitoring templates and applied them to target group and create notification rule and subscribed to it. Tested email from GC and it works fine. I see the tablespace alert is triggered and I can see it in GC - but it does not create any incident or send any notification.
Please let me know if you have any clues.

Hi Sumathy,
Make sure that you have subcribed to an incident rule that matches the state (e.g. critical or warning severity) of the alert. Note that the out-of-box "Incident creation Rule for metric alerts" rule only applies to critical severity by default.

  • Alert forwarding triggers mail notification

    Hi.
    I have configured a new product connector to forward alerts from SCOM to JIRA. The connector works fine, but every time I forward an alert to connector using "Forward to" command from alert context menu, it triggers mail notification subscription
    when connector processes alert. The connector code does not modify alert in any explicit way: just retrieves alerts using GetMonitoringAlerts method of connector and then acknowledges recieved alerts with AcknowledgeMonitoringAlerts call (see code snippet
    below). At the same time I can see "Alert modified by user" comment added to alert's history at forwarding time. Mail notification subscription is configured to pick up all critical alerts with "New" resolution state.
    Is this an expected behaviour? I don't really want to spam operators with unnecessary mail every time an alert gets forwarded to an external system. Any ideas what can cause the issue and how to avoid it?

    The way I see it the call acknowledgeMonitoringAlerts change something in the alert without changing the resolution state.  Scom process every even on every change so it get re-submit to all the subscription rule.  Since the resolution state
    is still "new", it send a new email.
    You got 2 choice :
    1- you do not update the alert when you transfert it
    or
    2- In you script you update the resolution state of the alert to something else (not "new").

  • Extended Notifications: Message not sent

    Hi Folks
    I had configured the extended notifications in the development system and it was working perfactly. Then I transported the customizing request for the above config to Test system.
    I have scheduled the job for SCOT and SWN_SELSEN.
    SWN_SELSEN do select the notifications to be sent but it does not send any messages.
    I have checked the application log and it displays a message SWN 032 ERROR while creating a message.
    Waiting for your expert opinion on how to resolve this issue.

  • SUS - MM Scenario: notification mail not sent to all Supplier Users

    Hi,
    we're in a SUS-MM scenario and we publish Purchasing documents (PO and/or SAR) to SUS portal.
    The notification mail for new published documents are sent only to the e-mail address of the Supplier (imported from SAP to SUS) which is in the SAP Supplier Master data. But if the Admin supplier creates other users for the supplier (F1 / F2 / F3), the notification mail for new published PO/SAR are not sent to the mail address of F1 / F2 / F3 users. Is it the standard behavior or is there some missing customizing setting missing?
    Our customer wants that notification mail are sent to all the mail addresses of the Supplier Users.
    Has someone had this kind of requirement? and, if it is not achievable via standard customizing, which could be the right solution to meet this requirement?

    This is a standard SAP process which SAP has provided,
    The other way is to develop a custom program,
    1) Select the Supplier.
    2) Check the available contact persons of the Supplier.
    3) When a document is created in ECC (Hope you are in MM-SUS), select the list of contact persons for Supplier. (I assume need a RFC FM to develop to SUS)
    4) Send a e-mail to all users linked with this Supplier.
    You can find the linked Contact persons in BP transaction and Table BUT000.
    Please change the Status of the Issue once your problem solved, other will get benefitted. If possible post the soulution.

  • Clicked on Send for a cmposed email but it was not sent and the symbol circling showed something was happening.

    I clicked on Send for an email I had composed. All that happened is that the rotating symbol showed that something was happening but the usual message that the email had been sent did not appear within about ten minutes. I have had this problem occur occasionally with Firefox on this computer and on another one. I have lost parts of a number of emails due to this problem as the version I tried to save had more in it than in the last saved version.

    The timing does make one think the two things are related, but it may not be so.  I've spent hours debugging problems thinking they were related to coincidental occurances, when they were not, so do not make assumptions.  If you are concerned, take the phone to an apple store to have it checked out.

  • Mac-notification traps not sent

    Our 6509 switch is not sending mac-notification traps to the NAC manager.
    The linkup linkdown traps are working however the traps specific to mac-notification are not.
    SNMP counters are not incrementing and a show mac address-table notification change indicates that there are no new notifications.
    As a result, the NAC does not know the mac address of the switchport in order to process any rules.

    Please post your SNMP receiver config on the CAM. Also, can you do a capture on the CAM to see if you're seeing the packets getting there?
    To do the capture, in a SSH session, use this command: tcpdump -ieth0 'host ' -s0 -wcapture.pcap
    Once you've captured the success/failure, hit Ctrl-C to kill the capture. You can then use WINSCP or any other SCP program to get that file off of the CAM for further analysis.

  • Notifications are not sent to some users, even after the status is green.

    There are some notifications sent to many(4 to 5 users and i am one of them) users from the SAP system. And i can see in the SCOT transaction that the notifications are sent successfully to all the users. Status is Green(transmitted). But,the issue is that, Some users are getting the notifications and some(Incliding myself) are not.
    The users who has mail id say for example  [email protected] are getting the notifications within no time but some usres who has maild id like [email protected] are not getting the notifications even after a day.
    There are two Nodes are active in the SCOT transaction, One is SMTP and other one is Dummy.
    In the address area of the Node SMTP, around 11 users mail ids are maintained, which includes both type mail ids xxxxxxx@xyz and
    [email protected]
    And the * (star) is maintained in the address area of the Node Dummy.
    Can you please give me some clue which can help me in resolving this issue.

    Thanks for your inputs.
    As i informed that, there are two nodes active in the SCOT transaction. Address area of the NODE A is already set as '*'. So, it was not possible for me to set the start * value in the address area of the NODE B. I dont think its possible to maintain * in Both the NODES.
    In the Node A, we have maintained * and in the Node B we have maintained some users mail ids. Because, as this is Quality system we dont want everyone to get the notifications.

    We have a incident  that user and admin is not received the email notification to lotus notes id.other users receiving the notifications from the same application.Same user and admin  receiving mails from other applications
    SWI1 no error but in SOST there is no record of a mail sent.
    Have checked SU01 the user has an email address maintained both in ESS and R/3.
    As per config SO16 - home address is selected.
    In the profile his external email id is selected as home address.
    what should i check next to sort out the issue.

  • EWA Alert configuration done but report is not generated

    I have setup the EWA congiguration for a Solman 7.0 , i executed rtcctool and implemented addons now everything is seen in green , also activated SDCCN and checked for all RFC ...everything is working fine .i saw two tasks service preparation check and maintenance check and executed them properly i also created a solution in DSWP and activated EWA for that solution . I followed the EWA tutor available at service marketplace properly but still when i create a early wath alert in opertaions in DSWP in solman , i see this waiting symbol and dont get any report in return , even after refreshing session am not gettin it here in DSWP. Please help me out and suggest some solution.
    I did this setup to get EWA report of Solman system in that system itself , i mean i want report of solman system in it , i am not using any satellite system here, is this possible to do so . Please guide me .

    David ......i refreshed the service definitions and i ran service preperation check and maintenace package , both were ok after that i went to DSWP in operations(inside early watch alert Tab)  and i created a new service named "SAP early watch Alert "  i selected my solman system while creating this service but service is in Waiting process in DSWP in operations , sign is not of blue bottle or Red flag but the wait Sign that we usually get and when i click on it it says "The session is waiting for data from a remote system. Data transfer can take up to one day."   it also gives steps to start it manually by going to SDCCN and creating task "Refresh Session"  i also followed that process using "None"  Rfc  but still in DSWP in opertaion  its in Wait and still same message inside it   "The session is waiting for data from a remote system. Data transfer can take up to one day."
    Please help me out in resolving it.

    I'm having an issue with the Notification functionality of Oracle Identity Manager 11g. Let me explain my scenario. I have the SSH Connector installed so I'm interested in receving mails when the task "Create User" is completed or rejected. I have provided the system with two Email Definitions (say SSH - User Created and SSH - User Creation Failed), and have associated these email definitions in the tab "Notification" of the "Create User" task. For both of these email definitions I've checked the flag in the following columns "Assignee", "Requester", "User". For the email "SSH - User Created", I've filled in the field "Status" with "C" (status completed of the task) and, for the other Email, I've filled in the field with "R".
    My question is: with this configuration sould OIM send an e-mail (with the appropriate template such as defined in the Email definition provided) to the requester (flag "Requester"), an email to the beneficiary (flag "User") and an email to the user who has finalized the request (flag "Assignee")?
    I have this request because in my scenario I have the following behaviour of the system:
    1. "Create User" task completed ("C" outcome status): the task "Create User" depends on a preceeding task named "Form Validation" (users who get assigned to this task can change some parameters on the request form befor connector activation to complete the provisioning). In this case only the beneficiary and the assignee of the task are notified with the email definition "SSH User Created"
    2. "Create User" task rejected ("R" outcome status): in the same condition of the above case (preeceding task is "Form Validation") only the beneficiary of the request is notified about the fail of the provisioning process. Unix administrators, in this case, are not able to get notified about the rejected status of the task.
    Is there any workaround for these issues? Please help me I'm going slighly mad! The documentation is not yet clear about these configuration steps.

    I've solved the above issue in another way but I'm interested in your solution. I've understood what you say, but I would like to access from a process task adapter to request informations. Suppose I have a task called "Request Info Send", I would like to attach a Process Task Adapter to this task to activate a mail send with request informations (from my external module - the task adapter which uses, for example Java Mail API) when it occurs a particular status of the task (e.g. C = Completed). Is it possible? How can I get the request ID inside the process task adapter? If I have the request id, I think will be pretty simple to achive my goal.

  • Firefox disappears from my dock and I have to copy it to my Apps folder each time I start up, and I am then prompted to install the latest version, but notification will not go beyond contacting server.

    I have tried many of the suggested solutions from online communities, like uninstalling and reinstalling, but I still have the same problem - Firefox disappears from my dock, when I click on the 'question mark' in the dock to open it, I'm asked to copy to my Apps folder, which I have to do each time and replace old version. Then I'm prompted to install the latest version, but when I do this, it gets stuck on contacting server. Please help! I'm using Yosemite 10.10.

    Do you have the current version of list.it (version 0.4.8.9.1)? This page https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/12737/ indicates it is compatible with all Firefox 3.6.* versions.
    Tools > Add-ons > Extensions shows what version. If it is old, click "Find Updates" at the bottom of the Extensions window.
