ALV-Sizing

Hey all,
I would like to display a ALV table from the left to the very right in a window.
What I did
- defined a view with ROOTUIELEMENTCONTAINER -> Flow Layout
- defined a group with Flow Layout - 100% width
- defined a viewcontainerUIElement in this group
Result:
The group is as expected (from the left to the right border)
The ALV-table in the goup is smaller and do not touch the right border
Question:
How can I "force" ALV to use the complete line?
Thanks for helpful hints,
Achim

Hello Achim,
I think you need to explicitly set the width of ALV to 100%
Try using this piece of code
*... get ALV component
  DATA:
    lr_salv_wd_table TYPE REF TO iwci_salv_wd_table.
   lr_table type ref to CL_SALV_WD_CONFIG_TABLE.
Note : give your used component of ALV properly here
  lr_salv_wd_table = wd_this->wd_cpifc_alv( ).
*... (1) get ConfigurationModel from ALV Component
  lr_table = lr_salv_wd_table->get_model( ).
  DATA: lr_table_settings TYPE REF TO if_salv_wd_table_settings.
  lr_table_settings ?= lr_table .
  lr_table_settings->set_width( '100% ' ).
Hope this solves your problem.
Regards,
Ismail.

  • Re-sizing hierarchy column in ALV Tree

    Hi all,
    I have created a class inheriting from CL_GUI_ALV_TREE that is used to create a Tree structure for Equipment.....
    Now my requirement is that the Hierarchy column should be re-sized based on the width of the node text.
    Please help.
    Thanks in advance.....

    You can control the size of the hierarchy column by setting the following field:
    *Set the width as follows
      g_hierarchy_header-width = 200.
    *Reference the g_hierarchy_header structure when calling the following method
      CALL METHOD tree1->set_table_for_first_display
        EXPORTING
        is_hierarchy_header = g_hierarchy_header
          it_list_commentary  = gt_header[]

  • Find/Find Next Behavior in ALV in container in ABAP OO

    I have an ALV grid in a custom container that's sized for a screen on a high-resolution tube.  In other words, there's a scrollbar on the ALV but none on the screen itself (because the whole screen is visible at the high resolution.)
    At this high resolution, a find or find next will correctly scroll the ALV to the row in which an item is found (when the "found" row is below the currently visible row of the ALV.)
    But when I switch to a lower resolution where I have a scroll bar on the ALV and on the window itself, a find or find next does not scroll the ALV properly.  You have to manually scroll to find the found row.
    Yes - I have both resizings checked on the container.
    Is there a way I can:
    1) find the resolution the user is in?
    2) modify the screen size to fit this resolution?
    3) modify the container size to fit this resolution?
    Thanks
    djh

    Calgar -
    This is the same thing that Thomas (Jung) suggested in an old ABAP General thread.
    But I've done it, and it doesn't work.
    Also, I don't understand why I'm getting a scroll bar for the ALV as well as for the screen.
    I thought if I did what you and Thomas said, I would only see the scroll bar for the screen and not the ALV.
    Any other ideas ????
    Thanks

  • Header in ALV print (no OO)

    Hi friends! I need some help. I made an ALV using function (not OO). IN screen everything is fine, inclusive header with logo, but when I send it to printer, all header don't print! Why my header don't get printed?
    Thanks for any help!

    Hi Fulvio,
    I just tried and it works with this form
    CALL FUNCTION 'REUSE_ALV_GRID_DISPLAY'
        I_CALLBACK_TOP_OF_PAGE                = 'TOP'
    FORM top.
      data:
        lt_LISTHEADER      type SLIS_T_LISTHEADER.
      FIELD-SYMBOLS:
        <LISTHEADER>       type line of SLIS_T_LISTHEADER.
      APPEND INITIAL LINE TO lt_LISTHEADER.
      APPEND INITIAL LINE TO lt_LISTHEADER ASSIGNING <LISTHEADER>.
      <LISTHEADER>-typ = 'H'.
      <LISTHEADER>-info = 'Report Fiotec of users '.
      CALL FUNCTION 'REUSE_ALV_COMMENTARY_WRITE'
        EXPORTING
    *      i_logo             = 'FIOTEC_LOGO1'
          it_list_commentary = lt_LISTHEADER.
    ENDFORM.                    "top
    In the grid, we have big-sized 'Report Fiotec of users ', space line before is ignored.
    In print preview as in the spool file, 'Report Fiotec of users ' is output on top in default character size.
    You may set a breakpoint in the Form to see if it is called and processed correctly.  Possibly it is because you try to create the output only on first page - that mean only once in your case. Better check IF SY-PAGNO = 1 or use the event TOP_OF_LIST.

  • Sizeable alv grid using set_table_for_first_display

    I would like to be able to resize the alv grid.
    The abap program is executing in a MS-Windows environment
    MS-window, with SAP session,  can be re-sized yet alv grid stays same size
    I would like to be able to re-size (make bigger or smaller) once the MS-window has been maximized
    Using
    CALL METHOD grid->set_table_for_first_display
        EXPORTING
          is_variant      = w_hr_data_grid_layout_variants
          i_save          = w_hr_data_save_layout_option
          is_layout       = gs_layout
        CHANGING
          it_fieldcatalog = gt_fieldcat[]
          it_outtab       = t_reported_pos_std_table
          it_sort         = it_sort.

    Hi,
    It may not be possible to resize the ALV grid using the methods of the CL_GUI_ALV_GRID. It would be possible through the methods of the custom container class CL_GUI_CUSTOM_CONTAINER because the grid id attached to the container. There is an event SIZE_CONTROL in the CL_GUI_CUSTOM_CONTAINER class which may be useful for you.
    regards,
    Sharat.

  • ALV Columns

    Hi! I have a problem with the ALV columns in 4.7 extension set 2.0.
    The columns on my ALV report appear to be automatically re-sizing themselves whenever the report is printed from the list view.  This never used to happen in the past, even if I had enabled the "Optimize columns" on the "View" tab on the saved version of the grid view layout.  You could size the columns in the list view (to get a predictable record length for printing purposes) and they would stay that way.  My user says the print problems associated with this column re-sizing started happening in mid-February. The user's issue is if the columns grow and the total record length exceeds 170, SAP automatically changes the printing page format from X_58_170 to X_65_200 and the resulting printout becomes difficult to read. Is there a way to correct this?
    Thanks in advance!

    Hi Liz,
    the solution to your problem is not with the ALV itself.
    Which output device are you using ?
    If you are the basic device type SWIN for the output device type LP01 or LOCL.
    then you need to configure the page format in SAP.
    this can be by going through the Transaction  SPAD and then choose -> Full Administraion. Then choose the Device type tab.and then clik on SWIN or SAPWIN if it so.
    And then the FORMATS icon/ push button. then select the particular page format like X_15_200 etc. tparticular o configure the same as default for your printer
    Hope that this may solve your problem.
    With Regards,
    Venugopal.T

  • Unable to capture data in an editable dynamic ALV.

    Hi ,
    I have created a dynamic editable ALV whose displayed structure can be changed at runtime based on the selection in a drop down list value selector.
    Im trying to capture the values entered in the ALV into an internal table before the user changes the structure of the ALV to a different structure.
    In the ON_SELECT event handler of the drop down list box , im rasing a data_check event to capture the ALV data.
    The problem is that the control is not entering the event handler for the data_check event.
    If i raise the data_check event in my save event handler or any other event handler , it works fine.
    Can someone please suggest a solution.
    Regards,
    Newton.

    Hi ,
    I have figured out that the problem is local to my machine , because the code works fine on other machines.
    I guess my internet explorer has some bug.

  • '@' not getting displayed in the ALV report

    Hello,
    I am facing  a strange issue in the ALV report display. A string starting with '@' is not getting displayed and says "default icon " on the report. and this is varying from system to system for the same user.
    can anyone please help me in resolving the issue.
    Thanks in advance.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Santhosh Guptha N.

    @ is a default value as per ALV internal process. This is used in icons .
    I think this is causing the confusion.
    Check in the fieldcat if there is any adjsutment to be made to handle this.

  • Report for CRM-Opportunities - Open CRMD_ORDER for selected ALV row

    Hello,
    i created a report which can be used to find the relevant opportunities and list them in a ALV table.
    I have the requirement that by doubleclick on the table line the selected opportunity shall open in tx crmd_order.
    I have the GUID and the object_id of the opportunity in my ALV tableline.
    Has anybody already experience how to achieve this?
    Thank you
