"So what a crock of crap!  He is trying to tell me that a call showing up on the logs as made at 10:20 AM was actually made the following day and a "You're billing display can be up to 2 hours in either direction from the time of the actual call" logging system of their's caused me to make a mistake they will kindly refund just this one time."
The time was of the second, billed call, was 10:20 AM!!  That would have to be an 13:40+ early marking of my usage time.  What are these people up to??

  • Being over billed

This past January my $35 promotion was going to end. At the time I had 50/50 internet. During the plan i had $35 for one year (Jan 2014-Jan 2015), and $5 off (since I upgraded from 25 to 50 internet. Now this past January I called up Fios to see what promotions they can give to me, and I was told that I can upgrade to 75/75, and receive an additional 12 months of $35 credit. I realized last month that I did not receive my credit, and called up Fios. They credited me back the credit one time and stated they will put a not to the proper department to reinstate my credits. Now I go to check my current bill, and my bill still does not show my promotional credit being applied. I don't feel like calling each month to correct my bill, and I would not have upgraded my internet if Verizon would not honor the promotional credit.

    Hi Elijah_V,
Sorry you are having difficulty with your billing. An agent with access to your account will reach out to you directly by email, private message in the Forums and/or the billing telephone number on your Verizon account for more information or to help you resolve your issue. Please remember to check your spam/junk folder if you do not hear from an agent.

  • I am being over-billed

Currently, I am signed up for 40GB of data per month. That is how much data I am being provided with. However, I am being charged for 80GB of data. If this error is not corrected and I am not refunded, I will be canc

Sorry, I mis-remembered. It was 4 and 8, not 40 and 80. Anyway, I don't think you understand the issue here. I was signed up for 8GB of data. I no longer needed that much, so I reduced the amount to 4GB of data.
Verizon was happy to reduce it to 4GB for me, but they did not reduce the amount they were billing me.
In the following screenshots, you will see that I am being billed for 8GB, and provided 4GB.

  • Being over billed and lied to about the price me and an in store agent agreed to!

I just signed up for comcast Internet 25 with basic TV for 39.99 the guy in the store said that the bill may say 65.99 til his supervisor fixes it but it will be fixed within 48 hours. oh but guess what 72 hours later bill says still 65.99 and every time i call the guy who sold to us he never answers or is never at work! So instead I call customer service and the first time they say that theyll fix it that theyre sorry for the mix up and that it will be fixed in 48 hours. i call again, and the next person says no notes on the acct so I was lied to and that the lowest price they can put me at is 44.99 and so I said NO we did not agree to 44.99 we agreed upon 39.99 and thats what i want! then the guy says he'll fix it and that it should be fixed within 72 hours. Nope not fixed so call again, and the next CS agent says they can't change it that i have to go into the store even though I have gone every day this last week! and that until that happens shell make sure that the change reflects 44.99 and a 60.00 credit to my next bill. I am so freakin tired of comcast and i have only been a customer for 1 week, if this is how you treat a new customer I don't even wanna know what you do to long time customers! this is ridiculous! I am in customer service and have never treated anybody like i have been treated and I want the dang price I agreed upon with the services we agreed to!

Same here, was told 39.99 for 75 Mbps, which is great, because I was only willing to pay 39.99 for whatever speed.  Bill comes and it's not even their advertised promotion price for new customers, it's their normal rate of 64.95.  I agree, if this is how they treat new customers, I don't want to see what happens to customers that have been around a while, and I WON'T IF THEY DON'T FIX THIS!! I also like how you can't get a hold of anyone on the weekend.

  • Over billed - Contacted Cust.Service for 21 times

Folks, This is my latest experinece with O2, I'm highly regret to be O2 Customer. Their service SUCKS.. DON'T GO FOR THEM AGAIN & DON'T EVER SUGGEST O2 My message to O2 team after *bleep* off by conatcting cust.care agents:=========================================================================
Ref: Escallation for Over billing – Unsolved issued – Contacted for 21 times This is regarding your worst & pathetic billing system management & disastrous customer service on complains management and customer queries.
    1) In May'15 I was billing for nearly £130, due to international text which triggered from my iPhone app, though I was "opted-out" from International Calls, Text & Special numbers... still it went through and I was charged for those. It is number 1 evidence of your poor IT systems and customer query management.
    2) I contacted customer service agent and got this over bill issue sorted out. However by the time I contacted, the bill was generated and agent advised to take off Direct Debit (as she deactivated DD from her end on behalf of me). The issue was solved for the time being and I cleared payment on 21st June for May month bill.
    3) Again I noticed I was over charged of £30 excess than usual bill and found out that the VAT which was attracted on above said £130 is yet to remove. Since then that is the biggest issue, each time I call agent they make false promises to remove but never happens and not only that each time I call, every agent concludes different reasons for that £30 excess, again false promises to remove but NEVER THAT TAKES IT OFF.
    - Since May'15 - I contacted your O2 Customer service for 21 times
    - My last call/case ID with your agent was yesterday – 678748262
    - Yesterday the agent kept same false practise of promising to send some details over text but never did – Though I’m really surprised, as it is O2 culture.
    - I was disconnected for more than 4 times during these issue transition.
    - on an average I spent 40 mins each time I call customer service.
    My Questions to you:
    - Is this a normal practice of to make your customers go over billed to bag extra money for your own mistakes?
    - Don't you have any ethical values or shame on any corner of your business practise?
    - How many times would you expect your customers to call and spend their personal time to sort out an issue which triggered due to your inefficiency and incapability?
    - Do you think spending huge funds on marketing & Adverts and ditching customers on the background is the core of your business success?
    - Don’t think once committed for a promise must be accomplished?
    What am I Expecting?
    - My problem should be sorted out immediately?
    - I wasn't treated fairly and not received service for what I was paid for
    - I must be compensated for whatever the damage is happen to me
    Thanks,
    Srujan

Maybe they didn't realise it was international texting, I notice they said it was through an app!
Although I'm not sure how exactly you might not know, but considering how many scam/rip off apps are around these days, I wouldn't be surprised if it was unintentional!
To the op, follow the advise above of making a formal complaint.

  • ACR v4.1: Canon files being overly smoothed?

    Hello,
I prepared a long knee-jerk post about having the ability to completely disable luminance noise-reduction in ACR, as one was (presumably) able to in previous versions of ACR. After working with numerous files from my Canon 30D and Pro1, I noticed that even with all noise-reduction and sharpening sliders at zero, ACR v4.1 still seems to do some significant luminance smoothing, especially on higher ISO files from my 30D and even ISO 50 files from my Pro1 P&S.
I was quite upset by what I had seen and took this as a fundamental change in Adobe's philosophy to raw processing. However I now do believe this to be (mostly) a bug, oddly enough Canon specific, since I have now tested ACR v4.1 with higher ISO shots from numerous other cameras - Nikon D2X, Hasselblad H3D/39 (DNG export from FlexColor), Leica M8 and a Fuji S5 Pro - and found this problem to be nowhere near as dramatic and, indeed, at times not even noticeable at all. In fact, on many of these other tests, files from the H3D/39 in particular, I feel ACR v4.1 is actually doing fantastic job!
Granted, I don't have anywhere near the selection of shots from these other cameras as I don't own them personally (I just have many tests from ones I have access to at work), however I am reasonably sure ACR v4.1 does not have the same problem with those cameras as with shots from the Canons I do own. Again... hoping this is just a bug.
I will be following this post with my original (long) knee-jerk response as I think it is important that Adobe hears such feedback in any case, whether this issue with Canon files is a bug or is intentional.
So, you are warned... the post following this one is long!
    Best Regards,
    Mike Mander

    Hello,
[ Before reading this post, please make sure you have read the one immediately preceding this! ]
First off, apologies, as this is quite a long post. System info: MacBook Pro C2D (3Gb RAM), OS X v10.4.9, Photoshop CS3 with ACR v4.1, Lightroom v1.0. Tests done with Canon EOS-30D & Powershot Pro1.
While there are a lot of things I really like about the image processing in the new version 4.1 of ACR, like the new optional edge-defringing, the more flexible sharpening controls (with no black halos around specular highlights!), less white-speckling in dark areas of higher ISO shots etc., I have come across a very disturbing fact which I believe has already been noted by a few others as well.
The fact being that v4.1 of ACR is now seemingly applying a certain degree of luminance noise-smoothing to raw files that is camera and ISO specific and, as far as I can tell, cannot be turned off. In my humble opinion, this is a bad bad thing! ACR has been known in the past as having one of the most "hands-off" approaches to raw image processing and this new smoothing effect is going against the grain! Pardon the pun... :-)
I first noticed this when I was processing ISO 50 files from my PowerShot Pro1. Being a P&S, even at ISO 50, there was a certain amount of noise texture which I found rather pleasing but with ACR v4.1, even with all noise reduction and sharpening set to zero, images that I post-sharpened in Photoshop had a certain watercolor-like look, somewhat similar to what, for example, Genuine Fractals might give one upon upsizing an image. When I went back to the Lightroom processed versions, which is using the older raw rendering engine, I did not see this effect and indeed, there was a dramatic difference between the two.
I had extensively tested ACR v4.1 with ISO 100 files from my EOS-30D and 20D, and did find that with certain settings, the new sharpening controls would render a similar watercolor type look when one is viewing files at 100%, but when sharpening was dialed right down and the image was post-sharpened in Photoshop, the differences between the old and new ACR, while visible, were not too dramatic and I did actually prefer the slightly cleaner rendering of skies and shadow areas in v4.1.
However after seeing what v4.1 ACR did with my Pro1 files, I decided to look at some ISO 1600 shots from my 30D and compare them to the previous version of ACR. Whoa! What a dramatic difference! There seems to be a considerable amount of luminance smoothing going on, even with all sharpening and noise reduction controls at zero, which wipes out subtle surface textures and can make edges of fine detail sort of "blend" together. Please do note that I realize that on anything other than the biggest prints or enlargements (or viewing at 100% zoom), one probably would not notice the effect of this new image processing, however...
I primarily do landscape photography and for me, preserving every last bit of texture detail is very important in making an image look natural. I much prefer a more "film-like" rendering of a raw file, even if that means a bit of graininess, rather than a smoothed image that looks artificial and more processed. In addition, this new image processing in ACR v4.1 limits the amount of post-sharpening that can be done to an image since too much sharpening starts to bring out edge-artifacts where ACR has made "decisions" on what was legitimate detail and what was sensor noise.
What I will say, is that this new processing in ACR v4.1 actually seems very sophisticated, and reasonably benign in many cases, low ISO digital SLR shots for example, so for certain types of images and applications, it may well be a very good thing, however certainly not for everything. So this brings me to my request...
I humbly request that the developers of ACR put in the option to turn any and all noise smoothing off in the next version of Camera Raw. Just a checkbox in the Detail Pane labeled "Preserve All Texture" maybe, or have luminance smoothing truly at zero when the slider is at zero. As I mentioned, I think the new processing might be preferable for certain types of images and workflow, so I don't want to completely go back to the old system, but I really do want the option to preserve as much image detail as possible when needed. I expect that there are many pros out there that will agree with me.
As a bit of background, I have been working in the professional imaging industry now for well over 10 years, having started off back in the days of the Kodak DCS-420 and Nikon E2. I manage the digital imaging department in a high-end professional camera shop and have extensive experience with all manner of digital SLRs, medium format digital backs, film scanners and so on.
I always have been a strong proponent of shooting raw and, in the past, have always felt that Adobe Camera Raw gave, by far, the best looking rendering of raw files when it came to detail and a general lack of demosaic artifacts. I have experience using a large number of other raw conversion programs available (Capture One, Raw Developer, Canon DPP, Nikon Capture, Hasselblad FlexColor, SilkyPix, LightZone, Aperture etc.), and while I haven't always found the color rendering to be best in ACR, as far as image detail and creating a clean, natural looking file that doesn't look "digital", I have always found ACR to be absolutely top-notch. Color rendering one can fix in post... however when a raw converter does detail destroying smoothing, creates nasty demosaic artifacts that pop out when sharpening etc., well that is something than cannot be fixed or recovered in Photoshop afterwards! Well, at least not without an inordinate amount of work or trying to mask the effects by adding noise etc.
In fact, a number of revisions ago (maybe v3.4?), Adobe subtly changed the raw rendering of ACR and noted at the time that the demosaic algorithm had changed in order to create slightly sharper looking images. At that point, I already felt that a slight step backward had been taken (with respect to generating the most "natural" looking digital images), however with judicious adjustment of my post-sharpening technique, I was able to accommodate that change in my workflow and I think many others did not even notice it. This new version of ACR, however, has gone too far IMO...
Since I have recently dedicated myself to using Adobe Lightroom, I am also quite concerned that the next version will have this same new raw rendering engine. After recommending LR to many other professional photographers, I am now worried at this development since with a new version of LR, there will probably not be any way to downgrade the raw engine as one can with the plugin architecture of Photoshop.
I may not have time to check this forum on a regular basis, so if anyone from Adobe would like further clarification regarding my opinion on this matter, please feel free to email me directly. An email link can be found on my personal website:

  • I feel that I'm being over charged and taken advantage of

Hello, My name is Bryant Wilson, acc #145284342, and I have tried over and over to discuss why I am being charged so much for my service. When It was installed they told me that all I had to give as a deposit was $150.00, they ended up taking $450.00 out of my account, then my first bill was $262, I was charged all kind of fee's not to mention $85.48 in taxes, who pays that for a cable service.... I need answers and I need someone to resolve this if not I will report you to the Better Business Bureau, people/customers shouldn't have to deal with all of this and not get any valid responces not to mention always having trouble contacting customer service.... Please feel free to contact me to help me resolve these issues.... Regards, Bryant Wilson

  • I am being over charged

After a farce of a switch to BT Infinity last October where my phone and broadand were dead for a week, a helpful chap called Robbie from BT called me to sort it out and agreed a charge of £26 pm.
However, on checking my bills I see I'm being charged £27.65. I can't bear the fate-worse-than-death that is a call to the BT overseas call centre trying to explain over and over again so can someone from BT in the UK please call me to sort this out.
I have the email from BT stating he agreed price.
    Thanks
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

Caller Display was free if ordered with BT Privacy until the beginning of 2014, when a charge of £1.75 a month was imposed. The charge can be avoided by committing to line rental for 12 months. To keep CD free you have to be careful to renew the line rental as well as your service package as the two do not go together.
There was adequate warning of the CD charge and how to avoid it, though the need to keep an eye on the line rental commitment is easily overlooked by customers used to only one renewal a year. The process can be simplified by giving a fresh 12-month line rental commitment at the same time as your next service renewal, then renewing both together in subsequent years. What a palaver.

  • I'm being double billed and having trouble fixing the error.

I've got Creative Cloud (annual membership, billed monthly.) and have paid for the 1st month. But I got a notice saying there are zero days left and to please verify my membership. When I looked at my CC account online it shows I'm being billed twice for CC. I've tried calling customer service but the wait is over 2 hours. Can you help me?

    Hi joelressel
It appears that you have 2 active subscriptions for Creative Cloud - one from Jan 3, 2014 and the other from Jul 5, 2014.
I will cancel the 2nd subscription and process refunds for the Jul - Nov charges.
    Kind regards

  • 50$ for being over 10mins

I paid my last month bill 2 days before the due date.  Then i decide to check my account to see if my usage reset, but it didnt it took 2 - 3 days for the usage to restart after being paid 2-3 days prior and i was still using minutes for the previous month and went over a lousy 10 mins and im gettting charged 50.00$ for using 10 extra mins... Even during these few days i tried to upgrade from 1400 to 2000 mins so i wont be charged to overage charge but my verizon wouldnt let me do it ... Why? Shouldnt i be able to upgrade my minutes even when im close to be over to avoid a overage charge ...

I think you are getting mixed up with "due date" for the bill and the "closing date" of your billing cycle. They are not the same thing.
For 10 minutes of overage, you should be paying the overage fee on the 1400 minute plan of $0.40/minute. With 10 minutes of overage, you should have an overage charge of $4.00(+taxes). If you were charged $50, you either have considerably more than 10 minutes of overage, or there are other charges to make your bill higher.
Yes, you should be able to change your minute plan at any time. If you are increasing it to make sure you are not going to incur overage charges, make sure you backdate it to the beginning of your current "billing cycle". When you do this, though, you will have an additional charge for your current month of $10 because you had already paid for the 1400 minute plan for the current month. You will be credited for the 1400 minute plan and billed for the 2000 minute plan which is $10 higher. So your bill would be $20 higher, $10 for the 2000 minute plan for the "current billing cycle" and $10 for the next billing cycle since Verizon bills a month in advance.

  • Want to listen to a grown man cry over billing?

I feel so very down after getting off phone talking to a (?) helpful Indian lady regarding my outstanding bill.
    Long story short...
My last quarterly Bill I could not pay as my best friend was killed in a car crash and I had to (wanted to) help out with funeral costs etc.
I was given more time to pay which I was thankful for.
Today my package (Phone/Broadband) was partially restricted.
I called BT to see if I could incorporate the outstanding balance of £136 in to a MOnthly Payment Plan before my next scheduled bill was produced on 3rd May - NO! I have to pay £136 (outstanding amount) after which I would be eligible for a Monthly Payment Plan via direct debit.
Sadly, after quitting my job and going on Carers Allowance to look after my dying mother I have been on Job Seekers Allowance and do not have an awful lot of money - current balance £65.08 in my bank account to last me until 13th May.
I am 47 and for most of my adult life have been a customer of BT - both my parents have passed away but when they had a telephone they were too mostly with BT.
Now for the ironic thing - as a past employee of BT I have been very thankful that the BT Benevolent Fund has helped me to pay my electricity/gas bills!
Life is very strange sometimes - at the moment I am able to raise an ironic smirk but not a true smile for me!
Rant over - I am a newbie here - any advice would be appreciated.
    Thanks in advance.
    Darren
