An album I have previously bought songs off of is no longer available on iTunes?

I bought multple songs off of an album a few months ago and now it is no longer available on iTunes.  Is this temporary thing or is the album permanently unavailable?

No way to know.

  • I have previously purchased songs that I can no longer download

I Have songs that we're working fine on my iPhone up until the last sync.  When I went to try and download them again they are greyed out.  Also parts of  another album are missing., 3 songs, and they are also greyed out.  I then went in and was going to buy the songs again, but the store shows them as already being purchased.   I don't know if it matters but this seems to be happening with only Beyonce albums which seems strange.   also, I have manually gone into my iTunes library and the files are gone.

    Hello krmanf,

  • I cannot play previously bought songs on my new computer.  The songs show up in my library but I have to give my new computer permissiom?

Library shows previously bought songs, but won't play on new computer?

If you haven't already done so then you should be able to authorise your account on that computer's iTunes via the Store > Authorise This Computer menu option - if you are using a PC and the drop-down menus aren't showing then control-B should get them to show

  • Re-downloading previously bought songs from itunes?

had my laptop stolen which had the downloaded songs that I had bought from itunes... is there anyway for me to re-download the songs I have previously bought onto my new laptop?!

If you didn't make a back-up of your purchases to restore from then I'm sorry to say that the policy on lost purchases is that you have to pay to download them again:
"Once a Product is purchased and you receive the Product, it is your responsibility not to lose, destroy, or damage the Product, and Apple shall be without liability to you in the event of any loss, destruction, or damage." iTunes Store: Purchased content can be downloaded only once
You could try contacting the iTunes Music Store Customer Service and in the circumstances you might be able to persuade them to sanction a second free download. There have been occasional reports in the iTunes forum of this happening, however just be aware that they are not under any obligation to do so. If you click on the link at the bottom of this page you'll be able to email your query: iTMS Customer Service
If you have an iPod that still has the purchases on it the transfer of purchased content from the iPod to authorised computers was introduced with iTunes 7. You'll find details in this article: Copying iTunes Store purchases from your iPod or iPhone to a computer

  • Went from windows 7 to 8 and now cannot play my previously bought songs.Tried all the recommendations about authorizing but doesn't make sense on win, 8

    Hi
I changed over from windows 7 to windows 8 and now my previously bought songs will not play.Tried to follows all the intructions for authorising my computer but can't seem to make sense of them. The instructions don't seem to be for windows 8.Can somebody help?
    Thank You
    Robert

    Hello Robert,
With the latest version of iTunes on Windows, the menu bars are hidden, and it sounds like yours need to be enabled before you can authorize your computer.  You can follow these steps to enable the menu bars:
To keep the iTunes menus active, change the setting by selecting the Menu icon in the upper-left, and then selecting Show Menu Bar. Alternatively, you can press Control-B.
You can find the full article here:
iTunes: Turning on iTunes menus in Windows 8 and 7
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5610
Once you have those turned on, you should be able to go to "Store>Authorize This Computer..." as outlined in this article:

  • Previously bought Songs on new PC

I bought some songs some months ago already. Now i bought a new PC and now I want to add the previously bought songs to itunes on the new PC as well!
How can I do that? Am I really to stupid to find that option??

iTunes: How to copy purchases between authorized computers
Though it refers to items purchased from the iTunes Store, it applies to all your tracks and videos. And if you happen to also own an iPod:

If you have tracks that you purchased from the iTunes Music Store on your old system and you won't be using that system once you move the tracks, don't forget to deauthorize the system before you dispose of it.

  • I have recently bought an iphone 5 and have synced it with my girlfriends laptop and taken some of her music. i have also bought music off my iphone. i want to sync the iphone with my parents imac and take some of my dads music. Is this possible?

i have recently bought an iphone 5 and have synced it with my girlfriends laptop and taken some of her music. i have also bought music off my iphone. i want to sync the iphone with my parents imac and take some of my dads music. Is this possible without wiping the iphone?

An iOS device can only be synced with one iTunes library.

  • Hi, How do you  authorize your itunes account to download previous bought songs to my mac?

    Hi,
I've been trying to give authorization to my mac so I can download my previous bought songs?

Ever since iTunes became (almost all) DRM-free, you won't need to authorize your computer to play previously purchased content. Just go to iTunes Store>Purchased and download what you want. Then enjoy!

  • I have thousands of songs dowloaded from my cds and purchased from itunes that will not play.  It states the file cannot be found.  What happened to them and where are they?

I have thousands of songs dowloaded from my cds and purchased from itunes that will not play.  It says file cannot be found.  What happened and where are they?

When songs cannot be found, it's either because they have been moved from the original location that you told iTunes, renamed or deleted.
    So have you:
    renamed songs?
moved them to a different loaction on your computer since you imported them into itunes?
deleted them since you imported them?
stored you iTunes library on an external drive? If so, that drive needs to be on and ready every time before you start iTunes.
... or is another programme renaming or even moving them, such as Windows Media Player? (It has been known to if you let it.) Did you previously use Windows Media Player?

  • TS1967 I have just bought a new computer and downloaded latest version of itunes.  It has all installed fine, but when I sync my ipod, it shows all the songs but won't play any of the songs in that library.  Also, I can't add new files.

I have just bought a new computer and downloaded the latest version of itunes.  It has all installed fine, but when I plug my ipod and sync it, the music library shows all the songs and videos that are on there, but won't let me play them.  Also, I can't add any new songs to the same library.  It saves them elsewhere. I have had the previous version on another computer and it worked just fine.  I have been online trying to find an answer but nothing.  Hope someone can help me. Thanks

Installing iTunes does not cause content to magically appear on the computer.
Your media is only where you put it.
iOS devices are not backup devices.
Copy the media from the old computer to the new computer.

What you can redownload will depend upon what country that you are in (not all content types can be redownloaded in all countries) and whether they are still in your country's store (content providers occasionally remove their items from sale) - if you go into the Purchased link under Quicklinks on the right-hand side of the iTunes store homepage on your computer's iTunes you should see what you can re-download :
Or on your phone you can use the Purchased tabs in the iTunes and App Store apps.

  • New computer how do I get previously bought songs down ?

    Hi,
I have just bought a new computer and downloaded itunes for it. How do I get all of the songs that I had bought from the store onto it?

If you are in the US or Canada you should be able to do this from the store. Click on "Purchased" under Quick links.
This facility is not available yet in other countries.
If you can't do this, you can copy purchases from your iPod to your PC
    https://discussions.apple.com/message/11857427#11857427
Or you should restore from backup or your old PC if it is available.

  • Ringtone problem from bought song off store.

I bought a song off of the iTunes store from my computer at work. I can make it a ringtone for my iPhone on that computer just fine; but I'd rather not as my iPhone is synced to my music library at home.
When I transferred that same song I bought to my computer at home, I could not make it a ringtone. Can you only make ringtones from the computer you actually bought the song from and downloaded to??

The lock represents the digital rights managment (DRM) scheme included for free with every download :/
You can't get rid of the DRM.

  • I have recently bought my mother the newest shuffle. The layout of iTunes when browsing her iPod has completely changed.

Hi, I'm not sure if this question has been asked before, and apologies if it has, but I've been tearing my hair out, trawling google for an answer, so any advice you can offer would be GREATLY appreciated! As I have mentioned, my mother has the latest model of an iPod shuffle, whereas I use a pretty old (but faithful, nonetheless!) iPod Nano (I think). When I plug in my iPod to iTunes and browse the songs that are on it, I basically have a list much like when I am just browsing my iTunes library. However, when I try to use my mother's iPod in the same way, I have a weird, disorganised, confusing page (I will try to attach a screenshot to show this) and a lot of the music my mum has put on her iPod is not showing up in the list of songs and artists it presents. The songs definitely have been added though as I can see them when I look at her iPod separate from the laptop. If anyone can tell me how I can change the settings so that my mother's displays the same, I would be ever so grateful, as she is completely disillusioned with her iPod and wants to throw it out the window. I am running iTunes on Windows 7 if this helps at all.
Thank you again for any help you can offer; you will save my mother and I of dying an early death of high blood pressure!
    Jess

    Hi there,
Things have changed quite bit in the latest versions of iTunes. The article below goes over the process of setting up syncing in iTunes 11 and you may find it useful.

  • I have over 9000 songs and over half wont play in my itunes how do i get them all to work

I have over 9000 songs in my itunes and over half of them wont play how do i make it so that all of them will play and i have  a windows 7 os installed

You don't say whether you are on PC or Mac. For Mac there are these two programs which might help (I havn't tried either) :
    http://www.apple.com/downloads/macosx/ipod_itunes/songsergeant.html
    http://www.apple.com/downloads/macosx/ipod_itunes/idupe.html
There are probably similar programs for PCs, but I don't know what they are. On a PC you can hold the shift key and do File > Display Exact Duplicates (without the shift they may not be exact matches) - if one of each duplicate pair has the same date added then you can sort by that and then delete those with (or without) that date.
