Another 8520 Clear Contacts Query

Hi,
I'm trying to clean up an 8520 for my daughter, and the contacts are causing me the problems. I've searched the forums for an answer to the issue of clearing all contacts, but unfortunately the two that seem most common may not work.
The first is using Blackberry Desktop -
For BlackBerry Desktop Software 6.0 to 7.0
Connect the smartphone to the computer.
In the BlackBerry Desktop Software, go to the Device menu and click Delete Data.
Choose the Selected Data option and select the Address Book - Allcheck box.
Click Delete.
Steps 1 and 2 ok, but at 3, the "Address Book - All" is greyed out with a message telling me it is read-only data type and cannot be deleted.
Second option is to use security wipe. However, when I go through Options - Security Options - Security Wipe, I have the option "Emails, Contacts, etc." but with a warning that "You will not be able to send or receive e-mail from this device after you wipe it". Obviously I am a tad worried at this statement - does this mean that until I restore contacts and set up a new e-mail account, or does it disable e-mail permanently? Apologies if a daft question, but as I am over 21 years of age, this sort of technology is way beyond me!!!

Hi! About your question on security wipe. Of course you will not be able to send/receive e-mails after you wipe it (because the email's will be lost). But don't worry you still can receive/send emails after you sync new emails.
This will not permanently disable you to this on your device.

I think we need more information.
You synced your contacts to iCloud - were there any contacts already in iCloud when you did this? Or was the iCloud account new? Had it been used previously by other devices?
Is the other phone (that provided additional contacts) syncing to the same iCloud account? Is this YOUR other iphone, or does it belong to someone else.
(Different users should use their own icloud accounts - that's how it's designed to work. You wouldn't want different users sharing the same emails, contacts, events, data from individual apps, etc. - at least most users wouldn't want all data shared with others.)

If you mean create another group in contacts, on the iPad you can't. However, if you are syncing your contacts to icloud, you can from www.icloud.com.

IPod Touch (yet another) syncing problem contacts, address book

I have a new 2nd gen Touch 8g. I am trying to sync to my MacBook Pro. Would like to sync all my contacts and calendar info from my old Palm, but that is not my question today. I am unable to sync my Address Book and iCal information to Contacts and Calendar on the Touch. Specifics:
- OS X is 10.5.6
- iTunes is 8.1, recently updated
- iTouch software is 2.2.1, recently updated
- Address Book is 4.1.1
- iCal is 3.0.6
I can "sync" using iTunes. It backs up the Touch. It syncs the music. It doesn't sync the Address Book or Contacts properly.
History:
- At first, I set it to sync the Address Book and Contacts (not Calendar and iCal). It would go through the sync process until "Updating Contacts with..." It would hang there overnight. This happened when there were 200+ contacts in Address Book on the Mac but none on the Touch. I cancelled after overnight hours and found none on the Touch.
- Deleted all Address Book contacts. Now there were none on either Mac or Touch. Still would spin the "Updating Contacts with..." for hours.
- Set iTunes to sync both Address Book and iCal. Added 1 simple contact in Address Book. Added 1 event in iCal. Synced. The sync completed but nothing was transferred between the Mac and the Touch.
- Added 1 contact in Contacts on Touch and 1 event in Calendar on Touch. Synced. Each still had 1 contact, 1 event, but not the same ones.
- Set iTunes to replace the information on the iPod (one time). The sync completed, and erased the contact and calendar event on the Touch, and put the 1 iCal event onto the Touch (yea!) but not the contact from Address Book (boo!).
- Tried multiple more times. I can add a calendar event on the Touch, but it never appears on iCal on the Mac. I can add a contact on the Touch or in Address Book on the Mac, but the two never sync up to show on the other.
Other details:
- I don't use Google Contacts or Calendar
- I don't use MobileMe (or really know what it is yet)
- I did use iSync to try to sync all my Palm info (not successfully), but stopped trying and reset the sync history, just in case.
- I don't use USB hubs, and I do the sync with just the Touch attached via the cable it came with directly into the MacBook Pro.
- I've read hundreds of posts here and elsewhere. I've restarted programs multiple times. I've updated software. I've tried following the advice of all the posts I could, even if they weren't precisely what I was experiencing.
Does anyone have any brilliant ideas as to what I should try next? I bought this thing to replace my Palm as my PDA, but it won't be any good unless I can sync the darn thing. I've been working on this for almost 3 days straight and am going bug eyed reading all the info on the web. ANY help would be appreciated!

I managed to get the sync to work after much shutting down and restarting, of programs and the computer. I cleared the iSync history just in case. I closed programs, etc. Eventually, it just worked and has continued to do so ever since. It is not slow, but rather quick.
All is well.
Now, the conversion from Palm is another story.....

How do I add a number from one field to another then clear out the first field

In a form I am creating I have a field or a series of fields that have variable numbers in them. I would like to create another set of fields that when I click on a button (or some other method) will add whatever number is placed in another field to that first field.
For example:
Text1a is normally a variable field. I have another field (text2a) that I input another number into. I normally add these two numbers together manually and the total replaces what was in Text1a.
Text1a = 4, I enter in a 2 in Text2a, so now Text1a will become a 6. I would like to have it so that when I click on a button it automatically adds the two numbers together and then replaces the current number in Text1a with the new total and also clears out the number in Text2a.
Note: Text1a and Text2a are columns where the next filed down is Text1b and Text2b and so on.
Can someone please help me on this?

Maximum Page size for contact query

Is there any way to return all the records when performing a search on contacts instead of specifying the pagesize filed or how can I specify PageSize = MAX.

Hey Jay,
The PageSize MAX is 100. You can't specify more or 'All'. Imagine a database where you have 100000 records, what will be the size of the response if you have all the records ? That's why you should use the LastPage info to continue querying with a startRowNum += PageSize. Put your queries in a loop and finish when lastpage is false.

Please help me with a query showing all contacts added to a BP within a specified time. This is what I have so far:

I cant get it to display only the most recent updated contact

I noticed that you have '%0' and '%1'
However, it looks like you are using B1 and not sql server.
You need to use this syntax:
WHERE T0.UPDATEDATE >= [%0] AND T0.UPDATEDATE <= [%1]

Urgent: Add another Row feature and Query bean

Hi,
I have added "Add another Row" feature to the result table of a query bean which is results based search. The table is also updateable. I am able to update rows, save, rollback and query another set of records again without any problem.
But, if I add a row, save or rollback those changes and go back and perform a query, it doesn't return any records. What would I be missing?

Go into your Contact list. Tap once on a specific contact. A menu will pop up with "Contact History" included. Select this option, then select clear. This will clear the history. There is no "clear all" option tho, so you will have to go thru each specific contact.

Another Problem will Crystal Query Engine

Hello,
I have in the past had problems with the crystal query engine, which were resolved by registering the crqe.dll in the bin directory. That was on Windows 2000. In that case I was able to open reports in CR developer successfully and export Crystal reports in PDF format from a third party LIMS system. No problems.
I have now got XP and am having to troubleshoot the problem again. I registered the dll and my install of CR10 is working fine but I get the usual "Failed to create the Crystal Query engine" when trying to export the Crystal report from LIMS. If I replace the CRQE.dll ( dated 2003) which was shipped with v10 with another CRQE dll (dated april2006) I can now export from the third party LIMS OK but cannot open the reports in developer.
Is there any specific problem with doing this on XP? Do I need a full set of more recent dlls to get this to work?

You'll probably get a quicker answer from the people at Compliance Suite. All that error is telling me is that the database engine does not understand what it is that you're throwing at it in terms of a database connection or data type. As it's a 3rd party app, I do not know how this is implemented so that is all I can say...

Clearing Contact list

How do I clear out the contact list in FaceTime? I backed up a contact list from Blackberry (5000 contacts) then switched to iphone4 loading the contacts on it. When I installed FaceTime on my Mac Pro the installation pulled all the contacts in. I only want to use FaceTime with half a dozen people.

Clear TREX query cache

Hi all,
I'm stuck on this problem: I'm adding a document to a Trex search index using KM API (Web Dynpro for Java app). The document is processed & added to the index. So far so good.
The problem is that when I do a search on that index (I search for ''), the document won't show up because the query results of the previous search for '' on my index seem to be cached somewhere. When I wait for 10 mins (cache expires?) or when restart my Web Dynpro app (so the user needs to login again), the document is found.
How can I clear/disable the trex query cache?

PS: clicking on the 'clear cache' button in Search and Classification Cache Administration (TREX monitor) is not working. The cache that is pestering me seems to be a session-specific query cache.

So I didn't set up a rescue email for my Apple account because I forgot all my security questions and I can't create a new one, the only option is says is to call Apple but I don't talk a lot on the phone and I hate general phone conversations. Is there another quick way I can contact Apple about making a rescue email? Or a way that I can make a rescue email? I have £40 balance on my account and I can't buy anything without resetting these questions by making a rescue email.

You won't be able to add a rescue email address until you can answer your questions, you will need to contact Support in your country to get the questions reset - contact is normally by phone as they need to confirm your id and that it's your account.
