Apache2 as new sol10 service

Hi all,
I had to rebuild apache 2 on my solaris 10 box,
I disinstall standard solaris 10 apache installation and rebuild it onto /opt/httpd path.
I don't know why it doesn't start as service after boot.
I read many docs about SMF.
these are my result :)
# svcs -x

the service is always in offline status,
but if I type
/lib/svc/method/apache2 start
it works fine..

Running tomcat as a service may be running under a different user context than when running it via the command prompt. This may be causing your issue.

Unable to connect to VM's in new cloud service via express route

We have changed our express route setup, initially we had an express route via London, but we have added a second one via Amsterdam and removed the one via London. All existing and new vm's in the different vnet's have connection to our local datacenter,
but as soon as we create vm's in a new cloud service the published routes don't seem to be picked up and the machine are only reachable in their local vnet on azure.
Does anyone have an idea where to look, it looks like the route publishing does not seem to work correctly, but it is strange that new vm's in existing cloud service do work correctly. BGP peering and vnet have been provided access via the expressroute and
all have status provisioned.

When I try to connect to a new vm via rdp or try to do a tracert to the machine (with firewall turned off on the vm) I don't get a response (traffic is routed via the express-route correctly). If I do a tracert to an ip on the on premise network
from the vm in question the trace is directed to internet instead of to the on premise network via the express route.
the new cloud services were created in the same region as the working cloud services and the vm's are also in the same vnet/subnet as the working vm's. If I delete a vm (keeping the disks) from a new cloud service and redeployed it in an existing cloud service
I can reach it again via the internal ip.
We have checked the route publishing and the correct routes are published to the express route/vnet.
When I check the provisioning of the vnet's via get-azurededicatedcircuitlink all the vnet's in question are listed as provisioned.
I'll try to remove the bpgrouting for the original expressroute this evening to see if that helps.

How can I (automatically) import new photos of the photo stream on my local disc (Mac)? Don't want to use new icloud service. Simply import.
With iPhoto every new photo was automatically imported and saved on my local disk (with "full resolution" that's what I only need). In the new photo app I have still my photo stream and when I move a photo (drag and drop from the photo stream) to a new album it indicates a (plus). My understanding is that the photo is now copied to my local disk. But when I deleted the photo in the photo stream it was also deleted in the album !?
If that is the case I can use the photo stream only until I reach the max of 1.000 photos, then I have to delete photos and I will have no copy left.
How can I "physically" copy a photo of the photo stream to my local disk? I just want to "transfer" all pictures taken with Ipads, Iphones to my central storage on the Mac. Please don't propose to connect it via iTunes (cable) to the Mac.
Any other suggestions?

The amazing device cannot do it because no amazing developer has written an app for it. There is some interest, others have asked, but i have a hunch that the market is fairly limited, and no developer has jumped at the chance just yet.
Any sort of tethered approach means try to feed the material to the pad thru the cck. Which means the app would have to use the allowed/existing cck pathway in a manner that does not violate the sandbox rules. That may be the problem.

Error while creating new app service plan for a webapp

Greetings !
I have a new webapp created and I want to move it a separate web app service plan to apply custom domain (Not available on free tier). From the new Portal I try to create new Web App Service plan and get this error.
"Failed to create App Service plan.
Failed to create App Service plan <App Service Plan Name>. There was an error processing your request. Please try again in a few moments."
Even while creation of the web app if I select create new App Service Plan it automatically goes into Free Plan.

Hello Parvez Alam,
The issue of not being able to create a new App Service Plan is now fixed. I tried to reproduce this and was able to create the App Service Plan Successfully.
You should now be able to create the App Service Plan from the New portal. Also, the App Service Plan concept is only availaible in the new portal and not the existing portal.

i currently use ADOBE PHOTOSHOP ELEMENTS 9 to Download and Edit my Photos from my Camera.
Now, I just signed up (under the Monthly Plan) for the New REVEL Service. How do I Download it to my Computer.
My Computer uses the WINDOWS 8 Operating System.

Welcome to Adobe Revel! You do not need to download anything right now. Currently on a PC you access Revel via adoberevel.com on a web browser.
Here are some useful links for you that might speed up the learning curve. They show you how to do things in the browser version as well as Mac and iOS. PC users can not edit using adoberevel.com. The apps include editing. Since Elements versions prior to version 11 do not connect to Revel, you can save to your hard drive and upload to Revel from there.
You can sign up to be notified when a Revel app is available for Windows and Android by going to http://www.photoshop.com/products/revel ….scroll down and look on the right side where it says "coming soon- Notify me" for windows or android. Click and you can sign up to be notified.
In the coming months, we will expand Revel onto new platforms, devices, and file formats.

Problem in creating new cloud service

I have tried almost all possible combination of letters to specify URL for creating new cloud service and I am getting an error saying "This specified URL is already in use". Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

How to change the management agent to use new management service ?

Configuring the Management Agent to Use a New Management Service
Hi,
I am trying to change the management agent to use new management service using following process.
1. Stop management agent.
2. Change in file Agent_home/sysman/config/emd.properties
For values REPOSITORY_URL and emdWalletSrcUrl and emdWalletDest
3. Delete all the files in the following directories:
AGENT_HOME/sysman/emd/upload/
AGENT_HOME/sysman/emd/state/
4. Start the management agent.
./emctl status agent is showing the new URL for management server (OMS).
But I am not able to locate the new host on the Web console at the OEM console where it is changed to.
Can you suggest me workaround for the same?

Using the new Data/Services generation with server push

Have moved my Flex/BlazeDS app (which uses Blaze AMFChannel for request/response messages and StreamingAMFChannel for server push messaging) from Flex Builder 3 to Flash Builder 4. The new Data/Services works fine to generate service classes and value objects for the request/response messages, question is can it provide any help setting up a messaging consumer and value objects for the pushed data?

I am so sorry - I meant AirPort Express - not extreme - but it's moot since I missed the point of your post - you want two outputs - and one to not be digital.
For what it's worth - I still think the express might be your best bet.

It has combined digital/analog out - you plug in one and it switches the output depending on which connection is inserted. I would expect a very short wait until everything accepts digital input - expecially for people who want good sound quality. If you have to go digital to analog outside of the receiver/amp (where it really belongs) - why not let it be the express sitting right next to where you want the second "receiver" to be...

813 new library services / content manager: anyone using in production

I'm looking for feed back on the new library services / content manager in 813.
We're currently using InterWoven for CMS to WLP7. We're migrating WLP7 to WLP813 and are pondering whether the CMS built into WLP813 is solid, usable and production ready?
If so we'd drop use and support costs for Interwoven.
What would be lost that I can imediately see is easy promotion of content between dev, qa, prod. We'd have to use DB replication scripts. Could use helps here too.
BTW, I found a nifty DB/table migration tool: opendbcopy.org

i.e I use a QNAP TS410 nas which does all that you want on mac flawlessly, so at the minimum add this to your potential list.

Files for New Field Service Laptop

Server is Oracle Database Lite 10g R3 (10.3.0.2) for Linux and arhitecture is: Oracle Application is install on machine 1, Oracle Database on machine 2, Oracle Lite Database and Mobile Server are install on machine 2.
I want to install to Mobile Server application "new field service technician". I found the CSML.zip on Oracle Application (Machine 1) in folder csm/html/download.
I run java command to run installation manager

I acces my server http://myserver:port/webtogo, I'm loggin with administrator user, I acces "mobile manager", In new page oppened, I access my server, then applications link and "new field service laptop" application. Here can see "properties", "access", "data subsetting", "files" and "add war file".
In "Files", I don't have any files.
How can populate with files this application?

Content Server: News Web Service - Customization

I have highly customized the news web service portlet. The final item on my list of customizations is to only show the "Create Article" when the user has the appropriate priveleges. How can I retrieve the user's authorization/permission level so that they will not see the "You are not authorized message" since they will never see the button?

Old client - new web service

Hi,
i try to migrate our old web services from axis 1.2 to a jboss web service under jbossws - native with jaxws.
the client send a string to the web service and the return value is also a string.
the old web service is rpc/encoded and the client was generated bei the axis tools.
with a few changes i can use my old client to the new web service.
but i didnt understand why i can use a rpc/encoded client to a jaxws web service using doc/lit.
so my questions are :
a) why is a jaxws web service able to read an soap-request with rpc/encoded? i thougth it is forbidden by the ws-i
b) i also hear there could be interoperability problems with rpc/encoded. why it don´t affect my web service?
we have a lot of serviceuser so it would be good if they can use their old clients.

Their old web service exposed the WSDL through a .asmx file. The new web service exposes the WSDL though a .svc file.
That would mean that the older service was written using ASP.net web services and the newer one was written using WCF.
That's ok to me, I wanted to move up to the .NET SOAP engine anyway.
That's still likely to be a problem. That's because the .Net SOAP engine that Classic uses is base on ASP.Net. WCF implements a lot of web services standards that ASP.Net doesn't know how to handle. Your best bet for consuming a WCF web service would be the WCF client in PB.Net.
Problem #2: The .NET SOAP engine seems to have a problem passing some array data.
You might try upgrading to 12.5.2 There have been continuous improvements to the .Net SOAP engine since it was first introduced.

Creating a New Help Service

Hi,
I am trying to create a new help service for my web template. To trigger this i use the URL Command (cmd=process_help_window,item=item_1). The Help service class has been created as an ABAP class. How do i control what method of the ABAP object will be called in this case ? Will the process_help_window call up a default method or does it need to be supplied ?

Sorry the command that i use is
&CMD=PROCESS_HELP_WINDOW&HELP_SERVICE=<my_new_service>&ITEM=<my_item> where i have registered the service my_new_service to the item my_item. The class to which this service points is specified in the item properties.
