APODP How Forecast model for different product can be define ?

Hi Gurus,
I had forecast 1000 products and in that thousand products i have 300 slow moving products and 700 fast moving products.
I had taken Linear regression model for this products and run the forecast. My question is i wanted to forecast 300 slow moving products with Seasonal Model , can anyone please mention how we can forecast 1000 products with two different forecast models?
Waiting for your answers
Regards & Thanks
Raj

Hi Raj,
A little concept clarification here. The was forecasting model works is"
1. You create a forecasting model giving a key figure for which you want to forecast and assign a univariae or MLR or composite profile to it assigning a key figure which you want to use as history and a statistical model. (TCODE: MC96B)
2. Create a selection profile in interactive planning screen (TCODE: SDP94). Select all the products you want to plan for in this profile along with other selections.
3. Assign forecasting profile to the profile. This way you can assign different forecasting models to different profiles.
In your case,
1.Create two forecasting profiles one with Linear regression and the other with Seasonal model.
2. Create 2 selection profiles one with the 300 products and other with the other 700 products.
3. Assign Linear regression to one selection profile and seasonal model to another profile.
Hope this elaborates the solution. Please let us know if you have any other questions.
Thanks.

Scenario: Public site starts with small number of courses, say 16, located in 4 sections on the main welcome tab. Administrators have edit only rights to the Welcome page and grant editing rights to each of the course pages to others. A few months later the site has more content and decides to change the four sections on the Welcome page to four section pages with courses attached to it. The new pages would have new editors for them. Can the course pages originally located on the main welcome page be restricted to no viewers and smart tabs put in new courses connected to the new section tabs? The thought here is to avoid rebuilding the site as the architecture changes.

The Ask Toolbar is causing that in the Firefox 3.6.13+ versions. Uninstall that extension.
There are a couple of places to check for the Ask toolbar:
    * Check the Windows Control panel for the Ask Toolbar - http://about.ask.com/apn/toolbar/docs/default/faq/en/ff/index.html#na4
    * Also check your list of extensions, you may be able to uninstall it from there - https://support.mozilla.com/kb/Uninstalling+add-ons

  • Forecast model for Summer / Winter

    Experts-
Need your help in customizing Forecast model in material master (Forecasting tab). Where these are defined in configuration? How to create new forecast model for Summer and Winter?
Here we are dealing with seasonal demands for purchasing different materials.
I am trying to figure out how to define Season codes for summer and winter? So I can flag material for Summer/Winter? As well as run forecast based on these codes? I understand that I can define season model or trend model, but in that case I will be unable to define which material is for summer and which one is for winter?
    Looking forward for your inputs-
    Thanks in advance.

Started using MRP controller for summar and winter parts.

  • Payment terms for different products from a single vendor

    Hi Pundits,
Our client has a requirement to assign different payment terms for different products. Each product he buys from his vendor has it's own payment terms. He wants us to customize in such a way that when he/user enters the invoice, not only the vendor number is shown along with the product name but also the payment terms for that particular product are calculated.
I know that only one payment term can be assigned in the vendor master data. Is there anyway to get around this?
Creating the same vendor multiple times and assign payment terms looks a possible option but that looks quite hectic cause he has close to 1000 payment terms.

Taurian, thank you for that suggestion!
I can maintain as many existing payment terms as the client has with his vendors and let him choose the payment terms at the time of invoice entry.
The only problem is that he might have to change it according to the current market rates for that product. So maintaining any payment term is of little use.

  • In Yosemite version of Numbers, how keyboard shortcut for "Merge Cells" can be created?

In Yosemite version of Numbers, how keyboard shortcut for "Merge Cells" can be created?

OK, I've been doing this since CS2 with no need for a script. To hide guides and show preview...
    1) Go to 'Keyboard Shortcuts'
    2) Go to 'Product Area - Tools'. Yes, you'd think it would be in Views! But the buttons for this is at the bottom of the Tool Bar.
    3) Go to 'Commands: Toggle view setting between default and preview'
    4) Click your cursor inside 'New Shortcut' and hit the key you want or type it in. I choose the unused F2 key
    5) Click the 'Assign' button and you are set. Hit the key to switch back and forth.
As for your mouse Zoom, use Power Zoom as described above or just hold down the Alt/Option button in 'Hand' mode and use the scroll wheel to zoom in and out. Not one step but it works!
Now you won't miss Quark at all!

  • Same operation for different production orders

hi, we use different sheets (like aluminium, steel etc). each sheet (as roh material for certain operation) is for different production orders. we keep all sheets as one bundle and cut all the sheets at a time. say aluminium sheet is for order X, steel sheet is for order Y. How to handle this during confirmation and GR, Settlement of individual orders etc? pls advise the best practice with this type.

    Yadav,
As per my understanding, you maintain the sheets of different materials as different raw materials.
The cutting operation takes place altogether for cost effectiveness.
I don't think it would be a problem for you do deal with.
Different sheets will be part of different orders.
The GI would take place accordingly.
The confirmation will be independent untill it is linked with backflushed.
    Explain the scenario in details.
    Hope this helps you.

  • How to findout for which product category extended classic is activated?

    Dear experts,
How to find out for which product category extended classic is activated? I am working in a test system. In spro settings, Cross aplication basic settings -> activate extended classic is unticked.
I see, the system allows me to create a Extended classic PO against a product category 001.
The product category has same ECC backend  system as target and source system.
    Is there any BADI implementation?
    regards,
    Ranjan

    Hi
ECS - flag activated - means Extended classic scenario.
target determine badi - helps to create a PO in desired place.
source system and tatget system logical entry sjhown means
PRODUCT CATEGORY - created in Backend system and follow on docuemnts also created in ECC system - so it could be Classic .
as jay said determine log system badi used for DECOUPLE scenario ( Classic as well as ECS) .
some times unless we study the system in depth, hart to findout what is exact techniacl scenario.
or you can find out what type of POs are in BBP_PD for all PO means ECS.

  • Filling line capacities for different products for the same line

    Hi,
I have a filling  Line PL1.  Capacity is 24 hours. On this we can process products A and B.I have defined rate routing and assigned to the production versions in the respective Material master. Now my requirement,
If the product A is processed on PL1,maxmum run length is for 24 hours and the machine must be stopped for cleaning after this time for 2 hours. If the product B is processed on PL1,maximum run length is for 36 hours and the machine must be stopped for cleaning after this time for 4 hours.A and B can be planned on the same filling line back to back without a major change over and the filling line can be used continuously for 36 hours. But B and A cannot be planned on the same filling line back to back without a major change over  and change over is required.
How do we map in the routing and where we maintain the conditions of 24 hous max run lentgth if product is A and 36 hours max run length if product is B....
    Thanks
    Hemanth

    Hi Suresh,
Thanks for your quick reply. In my  rate routing i maintain base qty 1000L and production time 1 hour tear down 2 hour for filling line FL1 with capacity 24 hours for Product A and maintain base qty 500L and production time 1 hour tear down 4 hour for filling line FL1 with capacity 24 hours for Product B.
    Is it correct?
But where we are giving max length of run as 24 hours if  product  is A and Max lenght of run 36 hours if  product is B...
    Thanks in Advance

  • Time Characteristics: MTD  and Yesterday (How to adjust for different times

    Hi,
I have this report which runs daily without any user input based on
Current Calendar Day (SAP Exit)-1  [for column 1 on the report]
    and
Current Calendar Month  [for column 2 on the report]
If today I want to run this report for the Jan 20, 2006 how best can this be done without the need for writing ABAP code?
    i.e. I want on the report,  column 1 as Yesterday(Jan 19, 2006)
    and column 2 MTD (Jan 20, 2006)
    Any help?

    Dear Amanda,
The restriction on key figures is done in a similar way as the restriction on characteristics.
I guess that you have a characteristic 0CALDAY "Calendar Day", which is restricted by variable 0DAT. By this you have defined the subset of your InfoProvider, on which you want to report.
Now, add the key figure which you want to restrict by a fixed date. Select "Edit" from the key figure's context menu and drag 0CALDAY upon the key figure. Restrict 0CALDAY by "January, 29th 2006". Add the same key figure a second time and restrict it by variable 0CALMONTH. Add the same key figure a third time and restrict it by the fixed time frame "January, 1 2006" to "January, 20th 2006".
This should work as you intended. If you have more than one key figure which has to be restricted in this way, it could be more appropriate to create a second structure with the above mentioned restrictions instead of restricting the key figures directly.
    Greetings,
    Stefan

  • How to adjust for different numbers of components on a JTabbedPane

    Hi,
I have five panels on a JTabbedPane. On one, I have six components, with each being an array of five (in other words, I have six "columns" of five "rows" each). On another pane, I have only two components (not arrays). I understand that the JTabbedPane will be as large as the largest panel. In my case, the panel with two components is as large as the one with the arrays and the two components take up the entire panel. I have tried to adjust this by using the createGlue(), createHorizontalStrut(), and createVerticalStrut() methods, but it is somewhat "ugly." I am also using the Box layout. Is there a better way to do this? I have included some of my code for reference; (sorry for its length; I am including the code for only two of the five panels). Any assistance would be appreciated.
    TIA,
    Jeff
