Apple iPhone 5c on EE brand new unopened no sim put in to it yet... if I buy it can i put my Vodafone sim in and use it as normal?

Im thinking of buying a friends iPhone 5C contract upgrade as he doesn't want it now...
It's on EE but still sealed un-opened etc
Can i put my Vodafone sim in and use it as i heard some phones are sim free until the first sim goes in to it?
Can i hear your input please.

If locked to EE, you will have to get your friend to request that EE unlock it before it can be used on any other network. So, don't purchase until you have verified that your friend has gotten the phone officially unlocked.

Perhaps, but maybe not, as what can they do with one with the UK plugs? I'm just saying regional things like that often have to be returned at a store in the country you bought them.
But, just go and ask as the worse they can say is no. If they do say no they cannot exchange it, then for very little money you can buy a UK-to-India plug adapter and use that charger in India anyway. Such plug adapters are only $2-$5 here in the USA on Amazon. -

if my iphone 5 has a problem within the first 30 days will apple replace it with a brand new one or will i get a refurbished model??
If it is replaced under warranty, it will be replaced with a unit from the "replacement stock", which either will be a refurb or new (no way to distinguish these) and the S/N will indicate a replacement unit.
The "30 day" rule varies from county to country, and applies only to returns, not replacement. -

Have you tried a wired keyboard to turn on the BT system? Macs can require some special key-combinations that *must* be seen before the OS starts and BT sometimes does not activate before the OS.

You do a restore as new to wipe the iPhone then at the end of restore you will be asked to restore from backup. Choose your iPhone backup.
Note you cannot restore an IOS newer than the IOS on iPhone, you need to update iPhone first. -

Not in the US, at the present time. Apple has not started selling officially unlocked iPhone 5's in the US, & has not announced when they will.

You can't. If your phone is disabled, the data has already been erased...that's the whole point of the passcode. Your only option now is:

I ended up buying an iPhone 6 Plus through Optus about 6 weeks ago but as I was away I did not get it until yesterday. I only realised this is the larger phone and I require the smaller phone. Am I able to get this swapped over in the Apple Store? It is sealed, brand new.

Unknown Apple ID Password on a brand new iPhone5
Restored a brand new iPhone5 out of the box, and it's asking for a weird Apple ID Password "[email protected]" additional to my account. Should I be worried? (No I don't have a clue what 163.com is)
I have the same problem. When updating 'words with friends' I get an unknown apple id email address. This happened just after I did a factory reset. All content and settings.
I have not shared any content with anyone else but my wife, and it is definitely not her id either.
What is going on here? Has this phone been used previously? I ordered it from Telstra (Australia) on the day iPhone 5 was released. If this phone has been owned by someone else previously I would be surprised.
Now I wonder who else has this problem? Perhaps my apple ID is appearing on someone else's phone? Very worrying if you ask me.

Iphone 5 - cracked corner - brand new
Hey guys,
I just unboxed my brand new Iphone 5 and the top right corner of the screen, the glass is chipped or cracked.
Bottom area where you plug in the charger is dented.
The back of the bottom white glass panel has a black dust in it.
The quality control is very poor.
What's going on?
This is my second Apple product, I have a retina macbook which also has graphical issues but Genius bar told me it's a software issue.
Anyone out there having the same issue?
