Apple support e-mail address, apple support e-mail address

i cant talk well so having an e-mail address for apple support is mandatory ive contacted them several times via e-mail so there  is way  to do it i have to go through this mess everytime i  need   help  i even saved  the e-mail page to  my  favorites  but when i open it   its  not there  i know when questions are received they're assigned to a specific tech person  so when they contact you . you can correspond back and forth via e-mail which works great  the techs really go out of their way to  help you solve your problem. once it took about 2 weeks to solve   i know calling them would have  been solved more quickly but again  i cant be understood over the phone if anyone could find an e-mail addressor even the page where e-mail is an option would be appreciated  you 'd think with APPLE   being so big they'd provide a simple way of contacting them for help   instead you  have to go through countless steps to get a simple e-mail address  its ridiculous  abyway  my question to the community  is the  latest version  of itunes fails to installl  on this computer im running windows 7 its giving me error 87, ive trieddoing it manually  but it still doesnt work.

Thank you again for your help.  I probably was not as clear in my answer as I should have been.  I did follow the instructions in the linked article, even though it was for the iPhone.  Since I do not have a Windows Hotmail account, I could not use that guidance.  I will just type in the addresses I need as I need them when using the iPad device.  It would be much simpler if I could have just synced them directly to the device.
Thank you.

I get an error message when trying to sign into the support community with another Apple id. On the <pick a username> screen I get "an account utilizing this address already exists.Only one account per email address is allowed on the Apple Support Communities" despite trying a few usernames. Anyone know how I can resolve this?

This problem has been driving me demented. The instructions that Ivan gives have partially worked for me. By following his link
"How to find out if you have multiple Apple IDs" I was able to identify that yes I did have two apple accounts using the same e mail address. One was very old that I used to use for the forum boards and one is my much more recent ID that I use for everything these days. So I changed the e mail address for the old account which is associated with these discussion boards and that's the account that I am now posting this from. However even though the two accounts now have different e mail addresses when I try to log onto the boards with my more recent main apple ID I still get all the same errors as described at the start of this thread by rodgers_j. And of course that's the one I want to use so that I only have one itunes account for everything.
So if anyone has any more hints I'd be very grateful.

My mailbox gets completely stuffed with e-mails from Apple Support Communities. Therefore, I want to be removed from the mailing list, but I don not find anywhere the way to realize that. Anyone familiar with the solution of this problem?

Were you ever able to stop that flood  Brouwerkj?  If so please tell me how because my mailbox is flooded by hundreds of messages per hour even if I cancelled all notification on my profile.

  • Anyone else haveing a problem with appointments not syncing, duplicate appointments when syncing with Outlook? Also, noticed that my primary SMTP disappeared, and I had to re-establish to send e-mail. Apple tech support was worthless.

Anyone else haveing a problem with appointments not syncing, duplicate appointments when syncing with Outlook? Noticed the problem a couple of days ago.
Also, noticed that my primary SMTP disappeared, and I had to re-establish to send e-mail.
Apple tech support was worthless on both issues.

Hi I am also in the UK, but not with Tiscali and am having the exact same problems. I can also send with wifi, but not 3G. I have tried amending all sorts of settings, including those above and amending the smtp server to the settings for my provider, but all to no avail.
It is thoroughly frustrating, as I cannot send emails unless I have wifi access.
Any further suggestions would be very welcome.

  • Apple Mail doesn't support IMAP IDLE

I had started using Entourage for a while just for testing since I had reacently started using a new IMAP server and I wanted to see how all the different email software behaves differently so that I can know what everyone will expect to see. Probably my favorite feature of the IMAP4rev1 protocol is IDLE. This feature gives the client the ability to stay connected to server so that the second an email comes in, it is "pushed" to the client.
This is very different from the way that with POP3 and HTTPmail that you need to poll the server. Here's the real bummer for me though, my absolute favorite email client, Apple Mail, DOESN'T SUPPORT 'IMAP IDLE'!!!!!!!
I beg you Apple to please realease a new version of Apple Mail that supports IDLE properly so that the client can stay connected to the IMAP server.
Other not as important feature requests/bugs that I have:
    * CRAM-MD5 authentication on SMTP doesn't work for me in Apple Mail even though my server supports it and it works fine in other email clients
    * A three pane vertical view similar to Entourage/Outlook... It would just be a nice option
    * Ability to hide individual IMAP folders aka Unsubscribe
    * AND ONCE AGAIN PLEASE SUPPORT IDLE!!!
Now if I have this all wrong and there is some way to turn IDLE on that is a hidden setting, someone please tell me. I'd be interested in hearing what someone from Apple has to say about this missing feature. Thank you!
    1.5GHz 15" PowerBook Aluminum   Mac OS X (10.4.3)   2GB RAM, 60GB 7200 RPM HD, SuperDrive, iSight

No, all this does is download all of my emails and cache all of them locally (regardless of what folder they are in). I wouldn't want this to happen because I definitely have over 100MB stored on my email server.
IDLE is something entirely different... I'm still hoping to get a reply from Apple.
If anybody else is annoyed with this please file a feature/bug request/submit form at www.apple.com/macosx/feedback/ so that we can try to get this resolved soon via some sort of update. OS X 10.5 is still a ways away so I'd definitely like to see an update to 2.05 before we get to 3.0.

  • Do not want to receive e-mails from Apple Support Communities

Do not want to receive e-mails from Apple Support Communities
    Please help me

I have this bookmarked as well from another post that gives detailed instructions on how to stop the emails. From here down is a copy and paste from that discussion ....
Actually there are three places to look
Anyway first click on your name to get to your homepage/profile. At the top there are three tabs one of which is Notifications, that's number one,. Next look at the right side of the page at the boxActions in there click Manage Email Notifications. Finally click  Edit Preferences in the action box and click on Email Notification Preferences
I think that covers it all.

  • I took my iMac to be fixed and when i got it back, mail was not set up. I called Apple Support and they helped me set up mail. Then the emails went to trash on the iMac and on the MacBook Pro (same emails). There are no numbers by the 'inbox' to tell how

I took my iMac to be fixed and when I got it back, mail was not set, so I called Apple and they helped me set up mail. Now the new mail goes to trash and there is no number by the 'inbox' to tell me how many new messages I have. I cannot save a draft to 'drafts.' There is a large number by 'trash' (I think all mail went to trash - including drafts). When I send myself an emai, it goes to trash also. This is on both my iMac (the one taken in) and my MacBook Pro (same emails) which was not taken in.
I went to 'rules' but have no idea what to do there. There are no rules in the rule box. When I click 'add rule' it puts 'rule 1' in the rule box, but since that was not there when I took it in, I delete it to have an empty rule box.
Can someone pleasehelp me. I am completely stupid with all this. Do not under stand what is suppose to be set up in 'rules.'
    Thank you so much,
    Arudi

Now new mail is coming to both computer's inboxes but there is no number on the stamp icon on dock to show number of emails on the iMac. Nor is there a number by either email address under MAILBOXES/inbox (sidebar) on the iMac. This number is showing on MacBook Pro.
I also can save drafts now on both computers.
Seems the Pro is fixed and the iMac is only missing the numbers on dock icon and by addresses in inbox.
Now that the problem is less, I feel i am wasting your time but will continue so maybe I can get those numbers back.
Two emails > AT&T email and gmail.
Apple's Mail program for email - yes, and gmail.
    IMAP for both accounts.
Did not change mail configuration on MacBook.
The iMac and MacBook Pro have the same mail configuration except in Accounts/mailbox behaviours/store draft messages on the server was not marked on MacBook > it is now.
'Store junk messages on the server' was marked on one computer for gmail, but is unmarked on both now.
On the iMac, Accounts/Accounts info/Outgoing mail for gmail is smtpgmail.
On the MacBook Pro for gmail it is smpt.gmail.com (plus) my email address.
Rules/Add rule window, on the MacBook third line is 'Any Recipient', on the iMac third line is 'From."
The last box on that line has my email address on the MacBook.
The last box on that line has the last address I sent an emil to (last night), on the iMac.
On the last line on iMac, no box was selicted for 'to mailbox' > I choose 'inbox' because it is on the MacBook Pro.
Now I have a Rule #1 and am not sure I should have because there was no rules marked when I took the computer in.
Thank you. I relized I had done the labeling wrong when so much of my question appeared twice and no one else's did. I know how to do it now.
    Thank you so much,

  • Two Apple IDs, can't log into Support Communities with newest one

Hi, I have an old Apple ID (very old, actually, from the earliest date of being able to have one) and a new Apple ID that I want to use for access to the support community.
Problem: I cannot access the support community with my new ID.
I can access it with my old ID. That's how I accessed the support communities to post this request for help.
    This is what happens:
I go to Support --> Communities
I enter my newer Apple ID
I enter my correct passwordNote - I use this combination on iTunes for purchases all the time. It works. This isn't a password issue.
I then get asked to establish a sceen name.
I enter a name that (finally) hasn't been taken by someone else and click the button at the bottom of the screen, to continue.
An error message returns stating that there is another account using that e-mail address (my newer Apple ID).
I can never get past this error message using my newer Apple ID.
The system won't let me log in using my new Apple ID. It says my new Apple ID - which is a .mac account e-mail - is already used by someone else. But that someone else is me. I'm not trying to replace my new ID, I'm not trying to alter the password on my new Apple ID, I just can't get past the step where the system rejects any and all attempts to create a screen name associated with my newer Apple ID.
Something's messed up. I just want to use my newer Apple ID and pretty much forget about the older one.

    HI,
I have in the past "Created" a Support Communities "Alias" for at least one if not two  @mac.com accounts
I have create a number of @mac.com accounts as "iChat Names" as the @mac.com registration Page advertised them as during the MobileMe period.
I have checked one on the Apple ID page and logged in (I had to change the password first)
It seems the one I checked had only the @mac.com address and no alternative email address.
(I am sure if I used this one in Messages it would cause problems.)
I am sure another required me to set up an alternative email and that required me to remove one of my three external emails from another ID.
I would still use the "Contact iTunes Support" link to see if they can sort it out.

  • HT201363 Im trying to reset my security questions but iTunes/Apple keeps sending the reset e-mail to my old e-mail address. My current e-mail address is listed and active in my account.

    Hello,
I'm trying to reset my security questions on my apple account but they (apple) keep sending the reset e-mail to my old iTunes e-mail. I have changed/edited my e-mail in my apple account to my curent e-maul but it still sends the reset to my old e-mail.......

    Hello AndrewsAFCx,
Thank you for using Apple Support Communities!
If you cannot remember your security questions for your Apple ID, I would recommend these steps outlined in the article named:
Apple ID: All about Apple ID security questions
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5665
What should I do if I don't remember the answers to my Apple ID security questions?
Try answering them at least once to see if you can get them right, even if you are not sure you remember the answers to your security questions.
If you are confident you can't remember them, try one of the following:
If you have three security questions and a rescue email address
sign in to My Apple ID and select the Password and Security tab to send an email to your rescue email address to reset your security questions and answers.
If you have one security question and you know your Apple ID passwordsign in to My Apple ID and select the Password and Security tab to reset your security question.
If you have one security question, but don't remember your Apple ID password
contact Apple Support for assistance. Learn more about creating a temporary support PIN to help Apple confirm your identity when you contact Apple Support.
Note: If you have forgotten your password and answer your security questions incorrectly too many times in a row, you will be unable to try to answer your security questions for a period of time. During that time you will not be able to reset your password and will not have access to your account.
    All the best,
    Sterling

  • HT201342 Hello, I have an Apple-iCloud account and have used one e-Mail address with that account. I want to add another address for my wife. How do I do it? Thanks

Hello, I have an Apple-iCloud account and have used one e-Mail address. I would like to add another address for my wife on same account. How do I do it?

    Hey there Raul,
It sounds like you have an iCloud account, and want to create one for your wife using the same iCloud account. You can do this with an iCloud Alias, and this article will help you do that. Keep in mind that any and all purchases made with the alias will not be transferrable or merged with another account if she wants to have her own account down the road.

  • Does Apple Canada have the worst customer support ever?

    Yes! Ask me why...
I'm posting here a) to warn other Mac users what to expect if you ever need customer support and b) because there's no where you can actually e-mail comments to Apple, and trying to contact customer support has been fruitless (see below).
    Here's what happened to me...
I bought my iBook just under three years ago - a few weeks ago, the logic board went. Now, because I purchased the computer less than three years ago, that's covered under the extended warranty for iBook logic boards (see here: http://www.apple.com/support/ibook/faq/).
Simple, right? Well, I took my computer in to my local authorized service provider about three weeks ago. They confirmed the logic board was the problem... copied my receipt for the iBook to prove date of purchase... agreed that it was covered by the warranty.
However, when they sent all this to Apple, their reply was that it was NOT covered because it was manufactured more than three years ago (although Apple's own website says it's purchase date - not manufacture date - that's important).
I called Apple last Monday to find out what was going on. Spoke to a nice fellow named Kevin who said he'd look into it, and call me back the next day.
Next day passed... no call. I called Kevin back left a message, and indicated I'd like to know what was going on.
Wednesday passed... no call. By this point, I'm getting anxious - the service provider can't move ahead without authoriztion from Apple, Apple's not returning my calls (or the service provider's) to grant authorization.
I tried Kevin again on Thursday. Left another message. No reply.
Tried back on Friday morning. Left another message. Still no reply.
Called customer support again Friday night. Antoine puts me hold for a half hour. I call back, explain that I've been on hold for half an hour, ask how long the wait should be. Antoine says two or three minutes. He puts me on hold again.
    For another ten minutes.
I call back. Antoine explains that the reason I'm on hold is probably because customer service is closed. So why was I on hold for nearly an hour listening to terrible music? That's one of the mysteries of Apple customer support...
So here I am, with a computer that's been in the shop nearly three weeks, that can't be repaired because Apple won't honour its warranty, and no way to even find out what's going on, because Apple's customer service is such an unnavigable maze.
The sad thing is, I usually like Apples. I was even going to buy a new one this summer.
    Now - not a chance.
The moral of the story? If you own an Apple, pray nothing ever goes wrong with it. If you expect your computer to ever need repairs, I'd suggest getting rid of your Apple now.
If you're considering buying an Apple - consider again.
As for me - from now on, make mine Microsoft.
    iBook G3 700   Mac OS X (10.4.6)

Does Apple Canada have the worst customer support ever?
    I doubt it.
Seriously, would you like some help?
Call back, and don't mess around with Customer Service. Immediately ask for Customer Relations. These are the people whose job it is to make an unhappy customer happy again. They aim to please.
A polite, but seriously disappointed tone of voice is what you need, so take some deep breaths until you can achieve that.
There was an article in the February, 2005, issue of Reader's Digest called "How to Complain." Please read these tips. Then call and tell Customer Relations your sad experience with Customer Service.
    How to Complain
You call customer service to complain about a product, and you hang up angrier than when you started. That’s customer rage, a feeling experienced by millions of people with a major complaint, says Scott Broetzmann, president of an American firm that tells companies how to offer the best customer service. His secrets to getting good service:
    Have a goal
If you want your product repaired, say so. Want an apology? Speak up.
    Keep it short
Focus on one problem, and be succinct.
    Stick with it.
You have to invest the time it takes. Don’t get what you want? Ask for a supervisor.
    Skip ultimatums
Don’t threaten not to do business with them again. Why should they help you if you won’t buy from them in the future?
    Plead your case
Many companies have information such as how much money you’ve spent with them and how often you complain. If you’re a good customer, they may be more willing to help.
    Be nice
You’re unlikely to get what you want if you’re rude.
    Good luck!
(P.S. Microsoft doesn't make computers; just the crappy OS that goes on them.)

  • Apple Id / Itunes Password / Bad Customer Support

Please help me if you can.  My daughter last purchased on her iphone on Thursday and I got a bill for it sent to her email which is her apple id as well.  When she went to log in Friday it said her password was incorrect.  We have tried everything ........apple won't send an email to reset and it says her birthday is wrong.  We filled out the apple support and have been back an forth for three days and he now the man tells her her apple id does not exist and it's ____ which is her sisters id.  They both have there own apple id and have my paypal set up to pay.  But their receipt goes to their email.
Why would apple now say they don't exist?  They've had these for over 5 years even back with the ipod days.  Now we have iphone 4's and ipads and they all the sudden just don't exist?  So if I set up a new one we loose all our purchased music.
So today I call apple for her and the man is so rude he ask me why it was his problem and then hung up on me?  With all the ipads and iphones we have we can't switch but I have never been so angry.  That was the worst customer service I have ever received in my life.
Does anyone know what to do other than loose everything and start over?  All our apps won't update now either so I guess we have to re-purchase all our high dollar ipad apps too?  Can anyone please help us?
    Thanks, Machell

    Hi machell,
It's a shame to hear that you had bad support with Apple.
I assume you have tried the iforgot.apple.com website as the way to recover the password from what you mentioned. You should try checking the Spam folder of your e-mail account as the e-mail can often be redirected there by many mail suppliers.
If you do not have the e-mail there and cannot recover by security questions then you would need to contact the iTunes store team as the phone support has no access to personal details like passwords. However it also seems like you have done this (via http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/ ?) if that is the case then you should have got a reference from the e-mail contacts?
I would personally try the iTunes support site again, detail the issues you are having exactly and attempt to resolve it via that support route, should you still be having issues then depending on your location you would probably be best to contact AppleCare phone support and let them know you are having no joy with the web support to see if they can do anything further (before this be 100% sure that you have provided all the correct into to the iTunes store team and no spelling errors or something small like that).
    Hope this helps.
