Applet Additional Parameter

I've 2 project, a web app and a javafx script app.
I must pass a session key from java web app to javafx applet.
In the javascript:
<script src="http://dl.javafx.com/1.2/dtfx.js"></script>
<script>
     javafx(
                 archive: "FXApp.jar",
                 draggable: true,
                 width: 500,
                 height: 200,
                 code: "fxapp.Main",
                 name: "FXApp",
                 sessionkey: "<%=sessionKey%>"
</script>Is it the correct way to do that? The sessionkey is runtime generated.
How can I get that key in the javafx script?
var sessionKey: String = {FX.getArgument("sessionkey")}.toString();This code doesn't work for me. Arg is empty!
I opened the html source of the generated jsp and the var sessionkey is correctly populated.
Please, help.

It works on some browsers (Firefox, IE...), not on others.
Somebody recently reminded the correct syntax is:
<script src="http://dl.javafx.com/1.2/dtfx.js"></script>
<script>
     javafx(
                 archive: "FXApp.jar",
                 draggable: true,
                 width: 500,
                 height: 200,
                 code: "fxapp.Main",
                 name: "FXApp"
                 sessionkey: "<%=sessionKey%>"
</script>Ie. the custom defined parameters must be in a secondary array.

  • Crystal Reports 2008 SP3 Additional parameter values are needed

    I recently upgraded to Crystal Reports 2008 SP3, and now when I try an export a report from the Crystal Reports Designer, I get the error "Additional parameter values are needed before this report can be saved or viewed with data.  Click 'Ok' to enter the missing values or 'Cancel' to proceed without data".  I am trying to export the report to Crystal Reports format.  The report is getting data from a MS SQL 2005 stored proc. I tried building a new simple report (just took all the fields in the result set and put them in the details section) using the same stored proc, and get the same error when I try to export.
    FYI, before I try to export I always preview the data in the report, so the parameters are defiantly set correctly.
    This was working correctly in Crystal Reports 2008 SP2.

    Please re-post if this is still an issue or purchase a case and have a dedicated support engineer work with you directly:

  • Reload page with additional parameter?

    Hi!
    I'm writing a site with the following simple structure: JSP using taglibs is for page structure, and taglibs are for applying XSLT to XML. Model uses XPath to extract needed XML , and there is no controller. Typical JSP is like that news.jsp:
    <my:page>
    <my:header title="News" />
    <my:news show="10">
    <my:rangeSelector />
    </my:news>
    </my:page>This displays a page with 10 news list and a range selector string like that:
    1..10 | 11..20 | 21..25
    Tag my:rangeSelector asks its parent tag my:news (which implements IHasRange, so as my:photos for photogallery thumbnails grid, etc.) about the total number of news to form that range selection string. The idea is the following: after the user clicks for example on 11..20, there goes a request, the same as the previous one, but with additional parameter, something like rangeStart=11. The question is HOW TO ACHIEVE THIS keeping in mind that my:rangeSelector knows nothing about its parent, but that it should implement IHasRange. In other words, how to reload the current page with the same set of parameters, and one more additional parameter, without explicit specifying the page, i. e. without that:
    <my:rangeSelector target="news.jsp" />Maybe Struts as a controller can help? I have no idea about it...
    Thanks a lot! :)

    I have the same problem: I had used F5 to make text smaller (zoom out). F6 to Zoom In still works, but F5 doesn't. It worked under Safari 4 BETA, but not the release version. I've tried this on several machines.

  • Java applet cache parameter

    I'm sorry if that what I'm looking for is described elsewhere. I couldn't find it. I seem to have a bug with the latest Apple's java implementation (1.5) downloaded with the latest Software Update.
    I have to switch off applet caching for a certain applet and tried to do this via the Java preference app. It seems that it doesn't work using the offered checkbox. Because everytime when I check it and leave the dialog and turn back it's still checked. I tried it with the deployment properties file but had no luck not knowing (finding) the correct parameter to set false.
    As setting the cache size to zero didn't resolve the problem finally I tried to set the cache path to "/dev/zero" what for sure is the worst solution but it works out. Caching is disabled (This way I discovered that trying to write the cache path in the box in the preference pane you can write it only in reverse manner! llun/ved/ No, it's not a joke)
    Anyone could tell me the right parameter for the deployment properties file that I can correct this situation?
    Thanks
    Powerbook   Mac OS X (10.4.6)

    Unfortunately, this did not resolve the issue. I have been doing a bit more looking and it appears I'm getting a null resource error on reload/refresh:
    public abstract class SimpleWindow extends JInternalFram
       public SimpleWindow()
          initComponents();
    public class FancyWindow extends SimpleWindow
       public FancyWindow()
          initComponents();
    }During startup, it tries to create a new FancyWindow, which calls initComponents(). Inside initComponents is a call to create a JEditorPane.
    The function runs fine, and I am able to create a new JEditorPane; however, when I do:
    jedit.setText("Text Here");I get my null error (tracing through the calls, it looks like it's unable to initialize the editorkit.
    This does not happen on a normal first-time load. It does not happen if I completely close the browser and restart it to re-run the applet, but if I just try to refresh it, it seemingly can't get memory for this?
    Edit: It looks like this may be a regression in 1.6.0_22 and later: 1.6.0_22 HTMLEditorKit throws NullPointerException when reloaded

  • Adding Additional Parameter in Oracle Reports -- Is this Possible?

    Hi,
    Please help me with this predicament: There are several reports being called through a single form, wherein a common parameter list is being used. Now I need to add another parameter called BLANKPAGES to one report only. Is it possible for me to put this script inside that one report's trigger?
    ADD_PARAMETER ( pl_id , ' BLANKPAGES ' , TEXT_PARAMETER , ' NO ' ) ;
    What are my other options?
    Thanks in advance,
    Jansen

    Try this
    if :report_name = 'NEW_REPORT' (user substr if needed) then
    ADD_PARAMETER ( pl_id , ' BLANKPAGES ' , TEXT_PARAMETER , ' NO ' ) ;
    end if;

  • Additional parameter in EPCM.doNavigate

    Hi all,
    I would like to know if I can pass additional parameters in EPCM.doNavigate like
    EPCM.doNavigate("pcd://...."?name=value). If it is not possible is there anyother anyway of achieving it.
    Regards,
    Janvi.

    Sure you cud, if the recieving thing cud take it...
    Eg: If you want to pass some vlaue to a screen field on R3 Transaction Iview, then in the DynamicParameter part you wud say something like this:
    var myValue = 'XYZ';
    EPCM.doNavigate('ROLES://pcd_path/iview?DynamicParameter=P_Val%3d'+myValue,1);void(0);
    where P_Val is the screen field on transaction.
    Plz don forget points, if it helped.

  • Pass additional parameter to SOAP header?

    We are using webservice datawindows to pass request xmls to call webservices. Additionally we use 'wsconnection' objects authenticationmode, username and password property to send information to SOAP header.
    Now we have to send one more value to SOAP header. This new value will be a string(like username).
    I checked the wsConnection properties and did not find anything which could be used. Can anyone please advise on it.

    If they constructed the web service correctly, the WSDL should include information on the custom header attributes you need to pass.  If it's there, any version of PowerBuilder 10.5.1 or later will provide a method you can call to pass it.

  • Parameters - Prompt for additional parameter

    Hi Everyone,
    I have created a parameter with 2 values ( for example A and B).
    If A is selected the report will appear as normal based on a set value.
    If B is selected I would like another parameter to appear prompting the user to enter another value.
    Is this possible?
    i.e. Is it possible to make a second parameter appear only if the results of the first parameter = B?
    Thanks in advance for any help....
    Best regards to all
    Roger.

    I think it is not possible to hide the paraemter dynamically. As a workaround you can try considering the other parameter value depending on the value selected in first parameter. Try this
    if ="A" then
    condition 1
    else
    condition 2
    you can use the other parameter in condition 2. But you need to enter all the parameter values everytime and you can only consider the other parameter value when you select parameter value as B.
    If you are using CR2008 you can make the parameter as optional in which you can run the report without entering any value in the second parameter

  • Passing parameter between two applets

    hi all,
    i want to pass parameter between two applets. in other words, when user clicks the button; close the running applet, pass parameter to another applet and run another applet.
    now i think that could be, ( creating a parameter table in database, when user click on button write parameters to table and stop active applet and run other applet. when other applet runs in init methot it takes parameter from table). but it will be very indirect way.
    if you have an idea or information, plesae tell me.

    What my question is how can i pass this location "c:\\avi\\cineloop1.avi" at the runtime. I am passing the cineloop location along with the URL. Now i want to pass this location which is taken from the URL, to the Applet.
    How can i achieve this. Will some one help me out.
    Thanks and regards
    Chennaibee.

    Thanks winj,
    I tried to pass the cine loop filename via java script on page load event.
    function assignit()
    var filename='c:\\avi\\loop3.avi';
    var myapplet = document.getElementById('TypicalPlayerApplet');
    myapplet.mediaFile=filename;
    And in the page load event i called this JS.
    *<body onload='assignit();'>*
    It's passing the file name after the applet getting started.
    How can i pass the file name before the applet getting starts.
    Is it possible to call this Java Script during the page initialization.
    Regards
    Chennaibee.

  • Parameter Prompt, additional line being displayed

    When viewing report in Crystal Report XI, which was developed in earlier version of Crystal Report, an additional Parameter Prompt Text is displayed.  Then opening report in version of Crystal report developed in text is gone.
    In Crystal Report XI Prompt Text is displayed as:
         Enter desired Ending Cleared Date for report display:
         Please enter date in format u201Cyyy-mm-ddu201D
    In Crystal Report 8.t Prompt Text is displayed as:
         Enter desired Ending Cleared Date for report display:
    Where is this text coming from, and how can it be removed?

    Because this is a date field, the report is looking for data formatted as:  MM-DD-YYYY
    But the Prompt is:
    Enter desired Ending Cleared Date for report display:
    Please enter date in format u201Cyyyy-mm-ddu201D
    This is really confusing our end users.  When they manually enter the data as the prompt is telling them (yyyy-mm-dd), they get a bad date error message.
    Is there a way to make this extra line of prompt text match the date format needed by the report?

    I'm looking for a simple image button applet (normal state, mouse-over and mouse-click) which can refer to a HTML or start a Javascript function. Can anyone help?

                             ButtonRegion.class
                             ButtonAnimate.class
    Modifications: v1.01 (15 April 97)
                             *     Added "sticky" button behavior (controlled
                                  by applet "stick" parameter)
                             v1.03 (25 June 97)
                             *     Added applet parameter "useCodeBase". If useCodeBase
                                  is true, then image file locations will be based on the directory
                                  in which the Java class files are located. If useCodeBase is false, then
                                  the locations will be based on the HTML directory. Note that audio
                                  file locations are always based on the Java directory. The default
                                  for useCodeBase is false (use HTML directory for base).
                             *     The "stick" parameter will now accept a button number in
                                  addition to the value of "true" or "false". If a button number
                                  is specified, then that button will be "stuck" down
                                  when the button bar initializes.
                             *     Added the capability of loading multiple URLs for each button
                                  with an optional target for each URL.
                             v1.1 (25 September 97)
                             *     Added "baseBrighten" and "baseBrightenTint" parameters to control
                                  highlighting for base button bar.
                             *     Added "mouseOverBrighten" and "moBrightenTint" parameters to control
                                  highlighting for base button bar.
                             *     Added "mdBrightenTint" and "mdBrightenAll" parameters to control
                                  highlighting for base button bar. Previous versions of the applet
                                  supported "mouseDownBrighten," but only if button borders were not
                                  drawn for the button-down button bar (the "mdBrightenAll" can be set
                                  to "true" to override the this default behavior).
                             *     An "appletBGColor" parameter has been added to set the
                                  applet background color. The applet background color is
                                  sometimes visible during scrolling or during a page repaint.

  • How do I use the UHRY_ACTIVE_ROWS parameter?

    We want to create a button to display the rows as a hierarchy (as available in query properties). To do this I realise I need to use the UHRY_ACTIVE_ROWS parameter in the template properties so to change the properties dynamically (as we require this functionality in a button) we started with the javascript command
    newurl = "&CMD=LDOC&TEMPLATE_ID=YTEST_TEMPLATE&UHRY_ACTIVE_ROWS=X";
    SAPBWOpenURL(SAP_BW_URL_Get()+newurl);
    This successfully sets the flag in the query properties but as we have mandatory variables the variable screen is shown which we don't want to see as the users have already entered the variables previously.
    Is it possible therefore to
    1) Avoid the Variables screen showing as they are already populated?
    or
    2) Set UHRY_ACTIVE_ROWS in another method?

    Hi Neal,
    Not sure if this would help..
    You can try using an additional parameter in your URL
    VARIABLE_SCREEN=%20 or VARIABLE_SCREEN=' '
    This should supress the Variable screen.
    Cheers,
    Praveen.

  • Ssrs 2008 r2 using parameter values

    In an existing ssrs 2008 r2 report, I have a requirement from a user where they want to add 2 more parameters to the report. Right now there is an option where the user can choice to generate report1, report2, report3, report4, report5, report6, report7,
    report8, and/or any combination of the reports I just listed.
    This is setup by using an expression in the visibility property for each of the 8 tablixes.
    For your information, the following is an example of how to display one of the reports or not:
    =iif(InStr(join(Parameters!report.Value,","),6)>0,false,true)
    Now the user wants to be able to add the parameters of customer and inventory_item based upon if report7 and/or or report8 is selected.
    Now can you tell me the following:
    1. Would you show me the code I can use in the dataset to select report7 and/or report8?
     2. If the above is not possible to select specific reports, then would the dataset query need to look something like: where @report is null or where @report is not null? What would you suggest?

    Hi midnight_car,
    According to your description, you have specified visibility for each tablix in a report with IIF() function. When you select 7 or 8, you want to add an additional parameter to filter displayed tablixes, right?
    In Reporting Services, since we can’t specify the visibility of a parameter as an expression, we could add a cascading parameter. When the first value is 7 or 8, then selected values from the cascading parameter can filter the displayed tablixes. Please
    refer to steps below:
    1. Sample data.
    2. Create a new dataset with the query below:
    select distinct SalesTerritoryRegion as region from dbo.DimSalesTerritory
    where SalesTerritoryRegion=
    case when 3 in (@report)or 4 in (@report)
    then SalesTerritoryRegion
    else 'NA' end
    3. Specify the parameter @region using the new dataset.
    4. Query in main dataset like below:
    select SalesTerritoryRegion as region,SalesTerritoryCountry as country,SalesTerritoryGroup as [group] from dbo.DimSalesTerritory
    where SalesTerritoryRegion= case when 3 in (@report) or 4 in (@report)
    then @region
    else
    SalesTerritoryRegion end
    4. Preview the report.
    If you have any question, please feel free to ask.

    If you're using the java plug-in, you can right click on the java icon in that system tray to the bottom right of the screen if you've got a normal set-up. Also I think you can invoke it via the start menu.
    If you're not using the plug-in, MSIE and Netscape both have "show java console" options. However on MSIE I think you have to turn on an Advanced Option first that lets you see the "show java console" option. It's a pain.
    Of course, if it's an applet, normally you're not the one viewing the console at all. It's the user who sees it. You only get to see the client java console if you happen to be the user.
