Hi,
we have SRM 7.0 in use and want to hide the following  application monitor : Contract, Business Partner. We want only the SC application monitor . OSS 1074659 is not possible because we have NETWEAVER BC instead of portal.
Kind regards,
Dorothea

  • SRM Confirmation IDOC errors - Not appearing in Application Monitor

We receive Shipping confirmations from vendors in XML format to our Business Connector and then the IDOC gets created in SRM. Some of the IDOCs are failing due to validation errors with data in confirmation. (For example the item level shipping count doesn't match whats on PO). When the failures ocur like this, the errors getting written to Administrators Inbox. All IDOCS succesfully processed in SRM in turn will go through normal confirmation scenario (Creating IDOCs in R/3).
Is there a way to get them into EBP Application Monitor? Please let me know.
    Thanks,
    Suren

    Hi,
You may not get ORA-4030 in the Alert log as it for system level resource issue, so it should appear at run time for new processes trying to create new processes and are requesting memory. The existing running database processes does not get impacted when they already have memory allocated.
04030, 00000, "out of process memory when trying to allocate %s bytes (%s,%s)"
// *Cause:  Operating system process private memory has been exhausted
    // *Action:
Not all ORA errors reported on alert.log file. Some of the ORA errors are reported only on client side. This error will be reported on alert.log if any of the oracle server processes is not able to allocate memory.

  • SRM 7.0 Hide options from application monitor

    All,
we have a requirement from our client to give a set of users access to the shopping cart monitor in SRM 7.0 which is part of the SRM administrator role. We have achieved this by copying the standard portal role and hiding unwanted iviews/roles etc, and only leaving the application monitor visible. This works fine, however, the client also wants to hide two of the options in the application monitor app itself. Currently users have the following 3 options on the left hand side tree
    Shopping cart monitor
    Business partner change monitor
    Contract distribution
They only want shopping cart monitor to be available to this specific set of users. I can hide the other two using config, but that change is reflected in the SRM Administrator role as well. Is there any way of hiding these specifically for a set of users?
I'm a bit new to SRM 7.0 so not very familiar with it yet. I would imagine this can be done using authorizations or a new WD fpm configuration? Any ideas?
    Many thanks
    Dion

Note 1074659 seems to solve the issue. It's for SRM 600 but works for SRM 7.0 as well.

  • SRM Application Monitor filter errors badi/exit

    Hi Guys,
We want to filter the items from the application monitor error list (PO Backend errors and SC Backend errors).
We want to let the user see only the PO/SC errors that belong to his purchasing organization.
I wasn't able to find any exit/badi for these particular views.
Do you know if there's any exit or any wda that could be enhanced to make this filter work?
I found a BADI for the SC Monitor, but I want one for the errors.
    Thanks in advance!
    Matias.

    Hello Matias,

  • Application monitor node display off

    Hi All,
I am using SRM 4.0. Strangely I am running into lot of troubles in SRM since yesterday as there was a mess up in the batch jobs.
Now, we are having an issue with Application monitor. It is not showing any error message in ITS, but I could see some error messages in RZ20. In ITS, when I click on "Display all" under purcashe order or confirmations in application monitor, it used to show the errors or it will say no error. But now it is showing GUI - RZ20 screen with a message "Node Display off".
I have tried by restarting the Application monitor, but it didn;t help.
Could you please help me to fix this?
    Thanks,
    Arun

  • Business process monitoring - application monitor

    Hi guys
Perhaps you can assist.  I have setup a application monitor on SD Invoices AR , sales invoices not posted to FI . It is setup for one sales org and one distribution channel.  It picks up 3 documents.  The monitor runs at night .  When I however pull the detailed report for the 3 billing docs, it takes about half an hour to run ? I have tried filling in more information eg billing type etc but there is no difference.
My other monitor - sales documents, orders GI date in past not delivered works fine, with quick response on the detail reported for exactly the same sales org and distribution channel . (176 documents ) . 1 minute.
What could be the reason for my invoices AR monitor taking so long to give me the detailed info ?
    Thanks in advance

    Hello,
you cannot compare the performance of different key figures with each other as every key figure consists of one or more SQL statements of different complexity.
The Sales Orders with GI date in the past are first selected via index table VEPVG which is usually very quick and later on the big application tables are selected like VBUK. As long as the backlog is moderate the key figure is very quick.
For the invoices not trasferred to FI the main select is on table VBRK. With your retail business you have problem millions of entries in this table. The quesion is if an index on VBRK exists in your system that could support a fast query. And then you have to fill selection criteria according to the index needs.
If you don't come to a conclusion there, please open an OSS ticket on component SV-SMG-MON-BPM and we will see if we can provide an SAP note improving the performance for this key figure according to your specific needs.

  • Business Process Monitoring - Application Monitoring help.

    Hi all,
Through Business Process Monitoring, I am trying to configure monitoring on table NAST, so that an alert will be generated for Billing documents print outputs (application=V3, transm. medium=1) on specific message types, if the processing status is equal to either 0 (not processed) or 2 (incorrectly processed).
I have configured this through application monitoring, using the 'Messages (Output Determination)' monitoring object. Under this,  was able to configure the 2 key figures of "unprocessed messages" and "incorrectly processed messages" with the parameters mentioned above (application and message type).
I set the yellow alert threshold to 1, and the red alert threshold to 2, as I want to be notified each time a print output goes into status 0 or 2, and that a red alert be generated in the case where 2 or more print outputs are not successful.
However, upon activation of this monitoring, I came across the following issue: The table NAST already has over 40 historic entries of unprocessed and incorrectly processed messages for these message types. The monitoring is picking up all these entries right away, and therefore a red alert is being generated.
There does not appear to be a way to configure the monitoring to only look for new entries in the table matching the criteria, e.g. look for billing docs with status = incorrectly processed during the last 24 hours. It seems that unless the existing entries in the table NAST are either deleted or have their status changed to "processed", the monitoring will always pick up these entries and report a red alert, even if no new entries are discovered.
Does anyone know how a way of configuring a date range with this type of monitoring, or do I have to modify the existing entries in the table (either delete them, change their status or set the "disregard" indicator on the messages in the table) before this monitoring will work as I hoped it would?
Secondly - a more general point - although there are lots of good documents on configuring Business Process Monitoring, I have not yet found one which gives full details on all the different types of application monitoring available, and how each of them can be configured. I know that within Application Monitoring, when you choose a monitoring type, the grey box at the top half of the screen gives some good information on what the monitoring does and how to configure it, but a document which captures all these monitoring types in one place would be very useful - if anyone could point me in the right direction I'd appreciate it!
Thanks in advance for any help with the first issue above,
    Regards,
    John

    Hi John,
you get an overview about all available key figures in the PPT "Business Process & Interface Monitoring - Part 2" under https://service.sap.com/bpm --> Media Library --> Customer Information. It lists all Monitoring Object and Key Figures with Select-Options. There is no document that describes the setup of every key figure as the setup is too similar for most objects. Therefore the grey text boxes within the tool.
The NAST collector will always pick-up everything older than x days. So you would have to process or delete the olde entries. But it is a good advise that for this rather technical key figure we should think about a delta mechanism like with our IDOC or ABAP dump monitor.
    Best Regards

  • How do i know user distribution whether WAP user in application monitor

Hi when i use Txn ST07 i go to  Application Monitor: User Distribution but how do i know how many of them are WAP user  &  Application Server value indicates WAp also  & wt is in WP in table.
    Please help

    Hi Aarti Krishna,
As per my understanding, WAP users which u mean is Mobile users?
You can find the different kind of users logged on in Transaction AL08.
Also, you can find the classification in transaction AL08 as
    1. Number of active users
    2. No. of interact. users
    3. No. of RFC-users
Now coming to 'In WP'----> which means 'Number of users connected to one work process'
If you want more information regarding each name there, you may use F1 placing the cursor there.
Hope this answer your question. Please let me know, if you need anything else.
    Thanks and Regards,

  • CCMS monitoring of SRM's own XI integration engine

I have CCMS problems when monitoring XI integration engine of a SRM system. The integration engine will not appear in CCMS. I opened a question on SRM solution forum, could somebody have a look at it there. Here is the link to original question and earn your points there:
CCMS monitoring of SRM's own XI integration engine
background: I have previously managed to successfully set up CCMS monitoring for a plain XI system, but there seem to be some difference while SRM's XI only has integration engine and not J2EE engine running. SRM XI Integration engine is in place due to ABAP Proxies used by SRM.

You have to follow the note <a href="https://websmp110.sap-ag.de/~form/handler?_APP=00200682500000002442&_EVENT=DISPLAY&_OBJECT=012006153200000552232003&_NNUM=634771&_NLANG=EN">634771</a>

Of course you have to adjust the GRMG in order to have only the ABAP part under monitor.

  • Error in Application Monitor

    Hello,
I am facing a weird problem.
I see an error in application monitor with no description. It only has the date and time.
When I try deleting this error, I get a message "Error deleting alert"
Now in RZ20, I see that there is an error under Purchase Order.
"Backend application errors       PurchOrder 4100001842: Transfer failed"
When I try to open this and try to complete it, I do not see any item under the screen "Alert Display". So I am unable to complete this from RZ20.
We are aware of the fact that we did have an error witht his PO. There was some config error which was rectified and moved to production after which the PO made it successfully to ECC.
But the error remained in the application monitor and is now haunting the monitoring team who are forced to check every time to see if this is the old or a new one.
Any idea on how I can get this off the app monitor?
    Thank you.
    Manish

    Hello Muthu,
I have checked this already. We do not have any error in BBP_PD for this PO. This has got replicated to ECC with no errors.
Not sure why this is still seen in app monitor.
Any FM/Table from where I could delete this log entry. Just kidding..
    Pls advise.
    Thank you.
    Manish
