Application Server will not shutdown-Tuxedo 8.1

We run Tuxedo 8.1 (Patch 291), on Windows 2003 and shutdown the system nightly for PS Portal database refresh.  Over the last couple of months both Application Servers are having issues shutting down our Portal environment.
Tuxlog is reporting various errros including:
ERROR: msgrcv err(LIBTUX_CAT:666: ERROR: Message operation failed because the queue was removed
ERROR: Message operation failed because of the invalid message queue identifier
ERROR: System lock semop failure
Any insight is appreciated
Thanks/Peter

If the app server was okay before and this problem started some where in between, then you may try this. Kill all java.exe processes and restart IDE & Servers.

  • Application server will not start up

    Hello,
I have read quite a few topics concerning this problem, and have tried many things but without success.
I am running on Windows XP Pro. The installation goes fine, but when I run a project, the application server cannot start, and I get a message after quite a long time saying that it can't start and to check my port numbers, etc.
I used to have Sun Java Creator, but I uninstalled it. I tried deleting the \Windows\System32\productregistry file. I tried uninstalling completely and reinstalling in C:\Sun\Creator2, but the problem is still the same. I tried deleting the domain with "asadmin" and recreating it, but I still get the problem.
I am posting all the relevant information from the logs, hopin someone will be able to help me out....

The PATH must be consistently formated (e.g. C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.5.0\bin; ) or the Appserver may not be able to start and/or stop.  Mixed quoted spaces in your PATH can cause problems, so the launcher will remove all double quotes before invoking the process. • Mac OS 10.4.4 Application Server Will Not Start

Installed Mac 10.4.4 last night. The Applicaton Server worked for all my projects. Now I cannot start the Application Server in Creator or Creator 2 ea2.
Another possible problem is that I was running both Creator and Creator 2 ea2 at the same time, but neither will launch the App Server now with the other not running.
Has anyone successfully launched the App Server in Mac OS 10.4.4?
    Any other ideas?
    Thanks,
    Bill

    Hello Sakthi,
Thanks for the help. I got the server running again by finding yet another instance of Creator and started up the Server successfully. Strangely enough, all the other instances of Creator then were able to start up (now one at a time). Another thing, when the server was not starting up it was using different port numbers than normal.

    Hi VG,
thank u a lot for ur answer. But there are no files at the Admin Server boot.properties path.
and at the BI Server boot.properties path there is no security folder. Do u have any idea why i cant found anything at this directions ? Also I tried again the command "./startWeblogic.sh " and get a new error message which I post below. I am rlly worry about this. Is there maybe a way to reset the OBIEE and undo all changes ?

  • After downloading I was entering my password for iCloud and clicked on forgot....now it's stuck and will not shutdown. When I try to shut down it says Set up Assistant cancelled shutdown. This has been going on for 5 hrs plus...any ideas?

MAcbook is stuck and will not shutdown following download of X Mavericks software. Setup assistant is stuck and will not allow the MacBook Air to shutdown. It's been doing this for over 5 hours......any ideas?

    Hi there—
This reply doesn't seem to take into account the query.
    Please help?
The computer is completely unresponsive and won't shut down or turn off. It is stuck in Set Up Assistant after trying to sign in to AppleID.
Attempting to shut down or restart produces the following dialogue:
"The application Set Up Assistant has cancelled shut down.
To try shutting down again, quit Setup Assistant and click Try Again."
HOWEVER it is impossible to quick Set Up Assistant— the icon is completely unresponsive even to force quit, right click or anything.
I've managed to get into being able to see Dashboard and at the top Desktop and the dock below. But I can't click on anything from there. So it seems it is not the whole computer. Just set-up assistant.
    Please help??
    Thank you

  • My mac mini will not shutdown with either Mavericks or Yosemite (following a clean install)

First noted while running Mavericks, my Mac-Mini will not shutdown.  It just hangs on a black screen with the little icon.  I created a clean user account and the problem went away.  Rather than do a fresh install of Mavericks, I waited until Yosemite came out.  I reformatted the drive and did a fresh Yosemite install.  I then restored my apps and data only to find the problem is still present.  I've also tried stopping many of the applications I would normally expect might cause the problem with no luck.  And I tried the one Yosemite suggestion regarding deleting the Library/Caches folder content with no luck.
My naive question:  following the fresh install of Mavericks, should I have done a re-install of my (very many) applications instead of a restore from an image?
I've tried looking at the system logs after I've forced a shutdown with the power button but there's nothing I could find that shows any problems.
Any other suggestions of things to try would be appreciated.

    Hi,
    Thanks.
    It is running 10.5.8.
I am trying to boot up an external drive with 10.5.8 on it. It works on my Macbook Pro which is running 10.5.8, runs on my IMAC running SL. But doesnt work on the mac mini?
It had been running SL, however there are a number of programs I have like Windows Live Sync which are not yet compatable with SL so i downgraded to 10.5.6 which came with the Mac Mini then loaded all updates.
It seems to just go into an auto reboot as soon as i click on it.
i thought it might be the firmware? Is it possible to downgrade them and then re-install?
    I have reset the PRAM.
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks

  • The Sun Java System Application Server could not start

    Hello All,
I downloaded the Java Pet Store example from sun's website and followed the instructions for installation. After successful installation, I tried to deploy the project and gave the following error
    C:\Documents and Settings\sina\My Documents\Projects\services\nbproject\build-impl.xml:194: Deployment error:
The Sun Java System Application Server could not start.
More information about the cause is in the Server log file.
    Possible reasons include:
    - IDE timeout: refresh the server node to see if it's running now.
    - Port conflicts. (use netstat -a to detect possible port numbers already used by the operating system.)
    - Incorrect server configuration (domain.xml to be corrected manually)
    - Corrupted Deployed Applications preventing the server to start.(This can be seen in the server.log file. In this case, domain.xml needs to be modified).
    - Invalid installation location.
See the server log for details.
BUILD FAILED (total time: 5 minutes 20 seconds)
The link above points to the following line in the build-impl.xml file
    <nbdeploy debugmode="false" forceRedeploy="${forceRedeploy}" clientUrlPart="${client.urlPart}" clientModuleUri="${client.module.uri}"/>
Can any one help whats wrong. An early response will be highly appreciated.
    Kind Regards.
    Hasnain Javed.

    Hi,
Maybe you already got this fix but here is a suggestion, a snippet from the readme index, html of the petstore download
    # Start the Sun Java System Application Server and the JavaDB database. To do so, open a command prompt and change directory to <javaeesdk.home>/bin and issue the following commands:
    asadmin start-database
    asadmin start-domain
    # Change directory to <petstore.home> and enter the following commands
    ant setup
    ant run
This will setup, build and deploy the petstore on the application server, and then launch the application homepage in your default browser.
The "ant setup" that you run from <petstore.home> (petstore.home is the directory where petstore is installed or where you unzipped it) will populate the database wth data and setup the proper database tables etc that are used by the application.
    hth,
    Sean

  • Application server sould not able to send mails once my DR Connetivity down....

     Hi all
I am using my applications server to send mail through my exchange 2010 server. I also have my DR Site server for Exchange 2010 with DAG concept.
please find below my server setups
    Main site
    1. Exchange MBX
    2.Exchange HUB/CAS
    3.Exchange Edge Server.
    DR site
    1. Exchange MBX/HUB/CAS
    2. Exchange Edge
MBX Server are configured with DAG for Database High availlablity. we have p2p link between main site and DR Site.
We created  the below receive connector in both our HUB server  for accept the mails from my applications server.
    1.  connector name : Application_ connector- selected the Custom option
    2. network --> use the local ip address to receive mail --> All available ipV4  port 25
Receive mail from remote server that have these ip address --> 10.X.X.X --> my application server.
3.Authentication --> basic authentication, Exchange server Authentication
4.Permission group --> anonymous user, Exchange users, Exchange Servers, Legcy exchange servers.
it was working fine  its send the mail  internally not issue.
All the DBs are mounted in our main site Only.
    1. last week  my DR Site P2P link got down that time the mails sent from application server was not received by our users. I don't know why?
    2. once the Link got up the mail flow happened. For testing purpose I disabled the application receive connector in  DR HUB server and immediately the application mail flow got down.  since all the mail flow taking care by main site,   How
my applications server mail itself taking my DR. I also checked my application server mail config and its configured with my main site HUB  server only.
    3.  now I also want  my application to send mail to external users.  How to enable this?  how secure it was?
I am not able to complete the above issue for the past week. any body will help me to resolve the issue much appreciated....
    thanks in advance
    Jags

With one mailbox server in the production site and one in the DR site, you do not have high availability.  If the main site goes down, the cluster loses quorum and all databases dismount.  You must then force quorum or move the file share
    witness to restore quorum.
I can't tell you why what you observed happened.  At the time of the problem I would have been looking at the transport queues to see what's queued and to where.
I recommend you look at the configuration of your send connectors to ensure that none of them are dependent upon the DR site server.
To send mail outside, you must allow relay.  To do this, I recommend you create a new receive connector that's configured to allow relay and restrict access to the application server to keep anyone else from using it to relay.  There are plenty
of articles on the Internet that describe how to configure a relay connector.

Error Messages:  " An Enterprise Report Application Server was not found. "Steps to Reproduce:
So we have an existing CR 9 reports application server on a different system .  We are trying to migrate over to crystal report 11 with out affecting it.  I modified our .Net web application and uploaded it to the server.  This is the error I'm currently getting.  We have Enterprise XI install on the server so i'm stumped
    Any Ideas?
    Thanks
    D

    Hi Fade,
Ah, the SDK for CR for VS is not what you want. What you need to do is log into Service Market Place and go to the appropriate download section. The SDK is NOT installed as in previous versions with Crystal Reports Designer, it's a separate download now.
I assume you are also using CRSE 2013 then so you get the SDK from SMP:
Then in the list you'll see .NET installer for SP 1 or SP 2, you must use the same patch level as the Server:
If you don't see this option then please contact your account manager to give you access to SMP and the download section.
If you are not set up you will not be able to see the above.
    Thanks

  • ZEN 6.5 SP2 IR1 Application Explorer Will Not Start

    Hi,
Recently a few users have complained that their application icons are
    not appearing on their desktop.
After a brief investigation, it appears that the Application Explorer is
not starting correctly (I.e. The icon does not appear next to the time)
All the Zen services have started and are running in the services
    control panel.
The following services are running in task manager:
    NALAGENT
    NALNTSRV
    NALRSTRT
    NALWIN
    WM
    XTAGENT
    ZENREM32
(I may have missed a few)
I've uninstalled and re-installed the ZDM Agent but that doesn't work.
Any idea as to why the Application explorer will not start?
    We're running ZDM 6.5 Sp2 IR1 on a Netware 6.0 Sp5 server and client
    version 6.5.20.13
    Thanks

Have you tried Manually Starting "Application Explorer" or "Application
    Window"?
These need to be started either from the "Run" Registry Key, the "Startup
Folder", the Login Script, or some other means.

  • How to make upgrade from application server and not from central instance?

    Hello SAP Gurus!
I have SAP ECC release 6.0, and I´m gonna make upgrade to enhancement package 6.06, do you know if Can I make upgrade from application server, but not from central instance?
    Thanks.

    Hi Victor,
Upgrade process has to execute from the server where message server is running.
So I guess it is not possible to initiate the SAP upgrade  from application server.

  • OSX 10.6.8 server will Not Boot

Hi my 10.6.8 server will not boot.  System is a 2009 Mac pro.  I have run disk utility from the original server software install disk, ran repair disk, and repair disk permissions.  Get some acl found errors have read that they most often are erroneous, Still got the same errors after permission repairs.  While booting in verbose mode get the following messages before it stops:
    kern.maxprocoeruip: 266 -> 2400
launchctl: Couldn't stat("/library/LaunchDaemons/org.macports.asterisk.plist"): Nosuch File or directory (note: removed asterisk from this system months ago)

launchctl: Please convert the following to launchd: /ect/mach_init.d/pilotfish.plist
Unexpected error triggering kextd volume watching.
/: Couldn't get description from Disk Arbitration..
I did read on another post here to try to reinstall the os, however when I try to install over the operating system it says I am trying to install an older os and it will not let me install in the same volume....  Although I am confident I have all the data on backups as well have timemachine backups, I would rather not have to erase and install this machine.
Any insight to this problem would be greatly appreciated.

I found that I had a bad harddrive, or at least that is what I think happened..  I did have a time machine backup as well, although in hindsight, I should have made some manual backups of my open directory and the databases hosted on the server.  In any case I ended up purchasing "server grade" harddrives and reinstalling the OS on to the new blank hard drives, I was then able to recover from my time machine backup, however, I did have the issue of the restore going over 100%, I tried this several times and the same result with no end after hours and hours.   After reading through various forums I found that clicking the mouse button for about 10 minutes straight once it hit 100% finally worked, I was lucky that the Time machine backup had good data on it since I have read several posts saying that Time machine doesn;t backup directoies or any "open files" very well, however I had no problems after recovering from the backup.  I do however now backup or archive my directory everyday, and I rely on Filemaker to backup its own databases, however I still use time machine as well...

  • Mac mini server - will not take 4GB so-dimm in bank 0

Mac mini server - will not take 4GB so-dimm in bank 0
    Hello,
Memory works ok as long as the old 2gb 1066 so-dimm is in bank 0.
Switching the dimms around is no go. It seems to need that bank 0 populated with an old 2gb.
I can use only one 2gb and one 4gb for the mini server to boot.
It seems to have a hard time figuring out the 2x4gb configuration.
Tried PRAM and NVRAM reset. Always getting 3 beeps.
Any chance of getting the full 8gb detected?

    Hi All,
I had the same problem that you, I had a mac mini server late 2009 with 10.7.3 OS X, with 4 GB of memory.
I have got these two memories on amazon:
    "8Go mémoire - Kit double canal SAMSUNG original 2 x 4 Go 204 broches DDR3-1066 PC3-8500 SO-DIMM (2x M471B5273BH1-CF8) mémoire portable ordinateur DD"
First test to install in the mac mini:
    Slot 0 - 4 GB
    Slot 1 - 4 GB
    3 beeps
    2nd test
    Slot 0 -
    Slot 1 - 4 GB
    OK
    3rd Test:
    Slot 0 - 4 GB
    Slot 1 - 1 GB
    3 beeps
    4th Test:
    1 - 1 GB
    2 - 4 GB
    OK
    5th test:
    reset PMU
    Slot 0 - 4 GB
    Slot 1 - 4 GB
    3 bips
    6th Test:
I did a test of the 2x4 GB in a mac mini 2010
    OK
    7th test:
    Slot 0 - 2 GB
    Slot 1 - 4 GB
    OK
After to read this forum I gave up and I decided to let the mac mini with 6 GB. Well, as I wanted to try it again one last time, I tried to put the slot 0 memory forcing a bit. But I did not noticed nothing special.
Well, at this last time, it works. 8 GB in the mac mini server
    here some screenshots:
I hope this info will help you to resolve this problem. But seriously, I am not giving you nothing else than hope
