Approval Preview issue

Hi,
Recently we upgraded our production system to SRM 5.5 Server from SRM 3.0. We were using a custom N-step BADI workflow in SRM 3.0. After upgrading it to SRM 5.5 server(we are using the std N-step BADI workflow in our upgraded system), the PO workflows that were awaiting approval before upgrade are not showing the approvers in the approval preview. But the new PO's seems to work fine. The approver list in the wofkflow container for these PO workflows are empty. Have anyone faced this issue before?
Regards,
Maria.

In My SRM Portal, when the approver changes any text or any date like that in the shopping cart it should come for the accept changes to the creator inbox, and when he sees the approval preview it is showing the creators name, but my functinal guy says that the approval person should be there but not the creator person in the preview and when the creator of the sc accepts the changes it is showing that it is approved by the creator name but he says that it should be approver name not the creator name.

  • Issue in Shopping cart approval preview

    Hi all,
We are working on SRM7.0.  We got an issue here.
A shopping cart is created and approved by the approvers.
When we go to the approval preview, we are unable to see the approvers and getting encountered with following errors:
    (Errors indicated in bold)
    >Cannot get process info; function BBP_PDH_WFL_APPROVAL_SIMULATE throws exception workflw not found.
    >PDO Layer error
Also we can see a warning as:
    (Warnings in italic)
    >Approval process view cannot refreshed due to error in document.
Pleaseprovide your valuable inputs in solving the issue.
    Thanks in advance,
    Vishal..

    Hello Vishal,
I advise you to check OSS note 1422084 - Approval preview gives error message for rejected QTE.
Even if it is for rejected Quotation (and not for Shopping Cart), error message is the same as yours.
    Regards.

  • SRM 5.0 - Approver Names Not Displaying in Approval Preview

    Hi,
Has anyone experienced the following problem in the approval preview applet?
We’re using the WS14000133 shopping cart approval workflow. The approval preview stopped working once we moved it to production January 1. The approval preview in production doesn’t display the names besides the approval steps. It displays the correct number of nodes/steps but not the name beside each node/step.
If the cart is ordered, the approval requests are delivered to the correct approvers. The BADI is returns the required information for each step as well.
We did not experience this problem in our non production systems.
    Thanks,
    Jerry Martinek

    Hello Jerry,
Can you please check whether they have maintained the fullname in the SU01 settings and also make sure that the right value is being populated in the ls_approval_agent-name with the fullname(either with last/first name)  of the user in the badi.
Hope this may solve your issue.
    Best Regards,
    ~Mani

  • Approval Preview (Only first approver is displayed after 1 approval step)

    Hello Everyone!
We have a scenario in PROD wherein the approval preview doesn't show all approvers in the screen. At first, when the Contract document is prepared (not yet approved/created) and then the approval preview is displayed, the screen correctly shows the 3 approvers with status 'To be approved by'. However, when the document was created and that the first approver already approved the document, the approval preview only shows 1 approver line in the approval preview (table) with a status 'Approved by'. The next 2 approvers are not displayed in the screen.
When we checked the document in BBP_PD and in SWI1, the workflow correctly identified the next approvers and even sent some notifications for them to approve. This is more on the screen problem. The approval preview (table) only shows the 1st approver who approved the document. We want to see all the approvers (with different status) in the approval preview so that we may know who already approved the document and who are the ones to still approve the document.
We only experience this in PRD, and this scenario (document) works both in DEV and QAS. Please let us know the SAP Notes related to this. The affected documents are Contract and PO.
    Thanks and regards,
    Reymar

    Hi Masa,
There were no applied notes related to approval preview (table) in DEV and QAS system.
We have SRM 5.0 component version; SRM Server 5.50 ; SP13.
Would you know any cause of this issue?
    Thank you very much.
    Regards,
    Reymar

  • Approval preview not displaying approval details in 'Check Status'

    Hi All,
I am facing an issue in the below scenario:-
First a requestor creates an Advice Special Request Form which goes to a purchaser for approval. The purchaser rejects this item and adds a new item by creating a special request form and fills in correct details. While he does this, the cost assignment for the items is different(multiple cost center assignment). Then he approves this Shopping cart. When the requestor Accepts the Changes, he is not able to view the approver details. But once he clicks on change option, then the approval details are shown in the approval preview.
Is there any way that the approval details are shown when the user clicks on the 'Approval preview' as the SC has already gone for approval to the manager? Is there any particular reason why only in change mode he can see the approval details?

    Dear Poster,
As no response has been provided to the thread in some time I must assume the issue is resolved, if the question is still valid please create a new thread rephrasing the query and providing as much data as possible to promote response from the community.

  • SWWL - delete work item - approval preview log??

    Hi all,
    SRM 5.0 ECS.
We have implemented custom  n step approval wf for shopping cart .The shopping cart has PO and invoice created and the header status for shopping cart is approved. However now the workflow has restarted for the cart and I need to delete the work items from the approvers inbox.
If i delete the work items from SWWL transaction, will the shopping cart status still be "APPROVED"???
Is SWWL the best way to delete the work items??What will the approval preview for the shopping cart show after I delete the work item?

Once, Workfiow item is approved, Workitem disappears from inbox right..
Why do you use SWWL transaction to delete the workitems..
    Can you elaborate the issue..Please.
    Thanks,

  • Approval Preview Graphic not syncing with Approval Text in SRM 4.0

We are currently using SRM 4.0 in an extended classic setup and have the following issue.
When creating a shopping cart/PO in SRM and looking at the approvals pending/processed or waiting the approval preview screen is different when choosing graphical display as opposed to text display.  The graphical display appears to be the accurate source showing the current status of the work items but the text display will show something the work item as awaiting approval by the individual.  The In process since description and processed on descriptions on the text display appear correct but the status and the approver are inaccurate.
Has anyone seen this issue before and can lend a hand to what could possible resolve it?

    Hi Robert,
I faced the same in SRM 4.0. As usually users are not looking into the text display
we did not further follow up on that issue. Usually Graphics and Text should be
same. It depends on the saved cookies and stored internet pages corresponding
    to the used Browser Version.
I cannot recap SAP's answer on that issue - did you also open an OSS?
    Thanks,
    Claudia

  • Approval preview showing diferent status depending on transaction used.

    Dear Gurus,
    -SRM4.0
-N step approval BADI implemented ( up to three levels)
    We are facing next issue:
To reproduce the error: Create a SC that requires three levels of approving. Next approver level 1 completes the SC. SC goes to approveru2019s level 2 inbox. Approver level 2 is out of office and outlook mails back automatically as u201C I am out of officeu201D.
-By cheking swi6 SC shows the correct status: approved by approver level 1 and awaiting approval of the other 2 ones.
-By checking SC via u201C check status>Approval previewu201D:  SC shows the correct status: approved by approver level 1 and awaiting approval of the other 2 ones.
-By checking SC via u201C Monitoring SC> Approval preview: SC shows the SC as approved by approver level 2.
Any ideas about why approval preview differs depending on the tx used?
    Thanks and Regards,

  • Wrong approval preview: One Sptep Approval WF in PO WS14000089

    Hi Gurus!
We are using SRM 5.0 and we need to set up the WF WS14000089 for approving changes in POs. The problem is that, we will not have the responsible for the approval under the Purchasing Organization, as we will replicate the PPOMA from R3. So, the responsible for approving all the changes in the PO will be under one box (department in the PPOMA). There will only be one person with rights to approve changes in POs. As we cannot assign it indirectly to the Purchasing Organization, we need to assign the approver using WF.
We need that, every change in a PO needs to be approved by this single person.
We have tried to assign him as a responsible in WS14000089 for step 000023 "First Approval". We have defined in tab "Agents" the option "User" and the user that has to be the appover.
When we test the WF, no approver is determined in the approval preview for the PO. But if the PO is saved and you display it again, in the approval preview, the correct approver has been determined and the PO is sent to this approver in order to check the modified PO.
What are we missing in order to display the correct user in the approval preview tab in the PO?
    Many thanks and regards!
    PWBR!
    Ana

  • Change shopping cart approval preview

    Please suggest:
How to default 'Displays as table' on the approval preview on the shopping cart. We are working on SRM 5.0.
    Thanks,
    SV

    Hi Masayuki,
I have a requirement from customer to make approval preview tab default to expand mode in first display. Currently users need to click on the u201CApproval Previewu201D hyperlink in shopping cart to view further details- like approval status, add approver and add reviewer.
I could'nt find any relevent thread on SDN. I found few threads related to "Approval preview :tabular display instead of Graphic or Applet".
We are on SRM5.0 and other details are :
    SAP_ABA     700     0021     SAPKA70021     Cross-Application Component
    SAP_BASIS     700     0021     SAPKB70021     SAP Basis Component
Could you please help me resolving the above issue.
    Thanks in advance

  • Javascript OKcode error in approval preview

    Hi
In the tabular display of approval preview, the Ok codes are not being picked up and clicking on the buttons results in no action.
Any clue on what could be the root cause for this?

    Hi
JRE is installed in our system. The function codes are getting passed for the graphical display, but not for the table display of approval preview. The problem is in GUI also, so shouldn't be an issue wiith the HTML template.
Kindly let me know comments on this.

  • Approval preview process controlled workflow

    Hi,
We are using process controlled workflow (N step) for the shopping cart workflows.
While sending the reminder mails to the approvers, we would like to include the approval preview in the email.
In application controlled workflows we could use FM BBP_WFL_DIN_APPR_CONTAINER_GET to get the approval preview details.
Is there a similar function module to pick the approvers/approval status/step name etc for the process controlled workflows so that we can simulate the approval preview?
    Thanks
    BR
    Swetha

Use class /SAPSRM/CL_WF_APV_FACADE. This is used by standard SAP WF Analysis.
    Methods - RETRIEVE_PROCESS_HISTORY, GET_CURRENT_PROCESS_STATE, CREATE_PROCESS_FORECAST.
To analyze more, check the program /SAPSRM/WF_CFG_ANALYSIS_002. Check lines 209...216 (These Lines pull Previous Approved Steps, Current Process Step & Gets the approval forecast). However the REJECTED Items (Accept Decision) work little different (which is not captured by this report).
To Identify the current approval process awaiting decision by the requester of the cart, use method GET_CURRENT_PROCESS_STATE, return parameter structure /SAPSRM/S_WF_PROCESS-PROCESS_LEVEL_LIST-DECISIONSET_LIST-ITEM_STATUS_LIST gets you the current status of the item (ACCEPTED, REJECTED, OPEN, INQUIRED). If ITEM_STATUS_LIST-ITEM_STATUS EQ 'REJECTED', then the WF is waiting for acceptance/resubmission from the requester.
To your specific need, pass DOCUMENT_GUID to the class /SAPSRM/CL_WF_APV_FACADE=>GET_CURRENT_PROCESS_STATE get the return parameter /SAPSRM/S_WF_PROCESS. It will give you PROCESS_LEVEL_LIST. Then loop through DECISIONSET_LIST. It contains Table Types of AGENTS_LIST, ITEM_STATUS_LIST, WORKITEM_LIST. At /SAPSRM/S_WF_PROCESS level, you can get all the details of the current process level details
    Thanks,

  • RAM Preview issue

    Hi,
I'm wondering if anyone has seen this or can provide some direction for further investigation. This is on a new Mac Pro on which I have just installed FCS
In some projects the RAM preview has no effect on playback performance. After generating a RAM preview, the project will play at the same speed (say 2 fps) and as soon as I pause playing, the green progress bar that indicates project is loaded in RAM disappears or becomes fragmented - without modifying the project in any way. When this happens it also becomes nearly impossible to do additional editing as every simple task (as simple as resetting the play range) can result in the spinning beachball. There was a recent thread on RAM preview issues (http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID=12215113&#12215113) but it appears the problem there was due to a long HDV project. The projects I experience this on generally have a lot of particles or replicated elements, but are standard 720 x 486 resolution projects lasting less than 10 sec. System memory usage is relatively small, less than 4 GB.
These issues arise on a recently purchased MacPro (3.33 GHz 6-Core, 16 GB RAM, ATI 5870). The boot disc is an OWC SSD, and user folders, scratch, etc are on separate hard drives. I installed the operating system on the SSD using the installation disc, and have manually installed all my programs from their original discs. (I initially used migration assistant to bring over applications, but that failed with some applications, so I wiped clean and started over). There have also been some past threads on how different hardware configurations can affect performance, but I don't seem to be doing anything abnormal here.
    What I have done:
    Tested ram using memtestosx
Verified memory usage through activity monitor. The projects I have tested on use up less than 4 GB of system memory
Before each test or comparison I reset preferences.
I do not have this flakey behavior with an older MBP (17" 2.93 GHz Core 2 MBP with NVIDIA 9600) running the same OS (10.6.4) and motion version (4.0.3). Running the same project on the MBP will take longer for the RAM preview to complete, but when it does, the project plays at full frame rate.
The upgrade to a MacPro was mainly for other CPU and RAM intensive applications unrelated to video or graphics, but I expected motion to show a nice performance boost over the MBP on this new machine. Anyhow, any insight or direction for further investigation that I should pursue will be appreciated.
    Thanks.

I tried your project (nice, BTW), and yes, 20,000+ particles take some time to render. However, when I did a RAM Preview, I had no problems - after render it played at full speed.
    UNTIL...
I selected the emitter. Then playback went to the pre-RAM-Preview speeds. As soon as I turned off overlays or made sure the emitter was not selected, the playback instantly sped back up to full speed. I believe this is because Motion needs to image the constantly changing outline of the emitter. This means it needs to be re-drawn every frame after Motion determines the extent/size of the 20,000 particles on their random journey.
I think this is backed up by the fact that near the end of your project, there are only a few particles to keep track of and the playback appropriately speeds up. Also, CPU usage vastly increases when I turn on the overlays.
Moral of the story? To ensure the quickest possible playback, turn off overlays (⌘/) or ensure that something like a particle emitter is not selected during playback.
    Patrick
